Friday night, only 6 tables were there so they shut off the nice parts of the restaurant and clumped everyone into the front area. We were sat on an empty table where there was no cutlery, glasses or salt and pepper. We asked to move and she moved us to another table which was exactly the same. I do not expect to be sat at a table and then my table be dressed in front of me. Waitress was very moody, did not smile much at all. Food was ok, spaghetti was too al dente and the lobster was not very tender. This restaurant does not belong in mayfair …

Brunch at Aubaine was nothing short of delightful. The avocado toast was bursting with flavor, with perfectly ripe avocado and just the right touch of seasoning. Equally impressive was the lobster and prawn roll, packed with fresh seafood on a soft, buttery roll. Though a bit heavier than my usual brunch, every bite was worth it. The charming ambiance of Aubaine invites you to relax and savor each moment. I’m already planning my return—this time with friends to share the experience!

I booked via First Table. FirstTable asks for reviews. So...I think First Table is a fantastic concept, giving restaurants the opportunity to showcase to new customers. I've been able to eat in high-end places I might not have been able to afford without the '50% off food' introduction. This does hike the bill up by £6-£8 just for booking and is not deducted from the food bill. One of my best experiences has been with Aubaine Mayfair and I've introduced friends to this - once wonderful - place, so I've dined there four times now. Sadly, our experience last night was pretty grim. The bill came to around £117 including a compulsory add-on tip for two diners including three glasses of (very good!) house wine. The food and service though is not what it was on previous visits. We ordered a bread basket with smashed avocado, grapefruit pieces and pomegranate seeds, (curiously served in an oven-proof pie dish), followed by medium rare fillet steaks which come with french fries, watercress and peppercorn sauce. We shared an extra side of 'wilted' spinach and then brulee and eclairs. I was embarrassed for my date. I thought I was taking her somewhere lovely. The bread was noticably stale, there was no pomegranate. I politely asked the (rather defensive and hostile, if I am honest), manager when the bread had been baked and why it had been toasted and he told me "it is always toasted". Not in my prior experience. I asked why it was not listed as 'toast' as I had ordered the fresh bread basket. He just repeated "we always provide it toasted". Not wanting to argue, I just let it go. In fairness, the manager did return with an espresso cup of pomegranate seeds which he plonked on top of the avocado on our table without wearing hygienic kitchen gloves, explaining that the "cook" is new. My steak was so blue it was cold. I did not eat it. My companion's steak was slightly over, but she enjoyed it. Our fries were so over-salted, we could not eat them. The spinach was not wilted, it seemed to have been deep fried? There was no watercress, only pea shoots. Dessert of creme brulee and an eclair was average. I wish there was a facility here for me to add photographs.

We had chocolate and vanilla ice cream. It was delicious, and I wished I had tried eating it from them

Great spot for a business breakfast or lunch - would not recommend coming here as a group of friends or for a date night. The set up is generally quite business focussed for a lunch setting, can’t speak too much for what it’s like in the evening. The real star of the show here is the Wagyu Sando - honestly cannot get enough of it and have struggled to find it done so well elsewhere. The menu itself is quite good, the venue however lacks any real sense of character in comparison to some other options within proximity of Aubaine. All round I will continue to go back for the sando, the staff are nice and the service relatively efficient. Can’t fault it hugely, definitely order the Wagyu Sando though!

We had a great dinner with the family. The food was delicious, it pleased kids and adults alike and we were very happy to be away from all the touristy restaurants by picadilly. We ll definitely go back.

This spot is amazing. Very kind, polite and welcoming staff. Food was brilliant too and value for money. The food was a little delayed due to an issue in the kitchen which was alright but they were so nice they gave the drinks off. One of the nicest things ever!! Will come again for definite.

Have visited many times before with my husband, this time with another couple. We had the wagyu burger which was delicious followed by sticky toffee pudding which was very yummy. The staff are all very friendly and service is quick. It’s a lively, buzzy restaurant. I would recommend

I had the fillet steak £39 served with fries, peppercorn sauce & watercress, as a side I had the cauliflower roasted cheese £8. The food was great all around I loved the cauliflower cheese. The vibe inside the venue was nice, it was quiet/moderate at the time since there was not many other tables. The service was great, attentive when needed. Overall i cannot stunt on Aubaine as it was a great experience. Only mishap I had was that I ordered the fillet steak as medium rare & it was more towards the rare side but it did not bother me much as I eat steak both ways it just depends on the day 😁

Considering it's location in the heart of Mayfair, this restaurant is very good value. The menu was interesting (in a good way) but I was a bit surprised to see the ubiquitous sticky toffee pudding in the desserts. The food was beautifully prepared and the service was excellent. We had a semi-private room for 10 at the back which was great!

Great food and service. I had the beef carpaccio to start, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Stone bass for the main and pistachio eclair for dessert were lovely.

The food was quite nice, however the service was terrible. It took so long for any form of service. It took around 10minutes for a waiter to come take our order, another 20minutes for our starters, 60minutes for our mains to come, 30minutes for our dessert and 20minutes for our bill. We spent around two and a half hours waiting for service and 3 hours in total in the restaurant. Terrible service. What added to the terrible service was how an another customer who asked for the bill much later than us had not only packed a takeaway for their desserts, but also received, paid the bill and left the restaurant whilst we were still waiting for our bill to come to us.

Had a lovely valentines dinner at Aubaine. It was a romantic French style set up. The staff were friendly and at your service. The food was delicious and great value for money ! Totally recommend

I came here for my birthday and we all ate from the Savour Menu (2 courses for £18). The prawn risotto was delicious and the house white wine was lovely. The team wished me a happy birthday with a lovely macaroon and a candle. I'd come back again for the ambiance, value for money and customer service.

It’s a great participation for the lunch! I chose a dish that is my favourite “Italy”! I love the lobster spaghetti ,lobster was chewy and I loved the fragrance!and I also love the burrata ‘s sauce! And it’s really authentic,the proportion of the meal matches was balanced,my friend was like penne and love the meals of wild mushrooms!! In conclusion it was a great experience for the first meal in London!!!

I really enjoyed my experience here, it was my first time to try something in Mayfair area. Very fancy, but cosy vibe and beautiful design. The service was excellent and coffee was just different level. Will come here again to try some delicious food, unfortunately as my time was limited I only managed to have a cup of premium coffee.

Over the course of a weeklong vacation in London, I ate at Aubaine 3 times with my family. I enjoyed every meal and the lovely service as well. We loved the salads - the Warm Goat Cheese salad and the Superfood salad and the fish dishes. Every time we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and it felt like a neighborhood bistro. We are happy that we stumbled upon Aubaine as it became our go-to spot.

We enjoyed our birthday meal at Aubaine - it was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night but I guess that's January for you. The meal was excellent and they looked after us well. Nice decor too

A group of 12 of us (+ 1 dog!) had dinner here and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was good, the staff were helpful and it was reasonably priced. Very happy to find somewhere like this in the heart of Mayfair.

Very impressed with this restaurant. We made a last minute booking. Staff provided a high hair for the 4year old in our party, when the mum realised she’d forgotten the child cutlery they offered to provide and also asked if we wanted to order and received the child’s food first - something you often have to request. We were also delighted to find that the meat was halal which enabled our Muslim members of the party to eat the meat. There weren’t that many veggie options as it was a reduced menu between Christmas and new year but the staff offered various off menu options. In the end the on-menu mushroom pasta was ordered and went down well. The service was attentive and unhurried. The only criticism was the sirloin steak was very thin and not the best I’ve had. Other than that it was a perfect evening.

Wine list pretty limited , you could hope there was were a middle ground between £180 / bottle and £50... Due to the change of shifts we ended up with someone really not knowledgeable and clearly not interested in serving table efficiently... Steaks were good but honestly not something to remember as an "experience".

One of the table staff was lovely. One was curt. The one fish option on set menu was not available and we were just told no when we asked if there was an alternative fish option for the non meat eater. Nice cocktails but generally over priced and disappointing. . Wouldn’t recommend.

The least tasty salad I've ever tried was at Aubaine Maifaire London. It consisted of five wedges of Chinese cabbage coated in a tangy white sauce, two slices of overcooked and dried-out chicken breast (2 cm * 10 cm) without salt but with a strong bitterness of black stale pepper, one anchovy - just one! - and three very thin slices of Parmesan measuring 1.5 cm * 1.5 cm. It was an entirely dry and flavorless salad with a bitter taste. When I asked for additional white sauce, the waiter brought sour mayonnaise. I never knew that Caesar salad could contain mayonnaise 🫢. The price for this displeasure was £22!!! I would have liked to request a refund, but the situation didn't allow for it. Have a good day, everyone!

Good place but toilets weren’t the best

the waiter knew that we had booked a "Festive Set Menu" but still brought the normal menu and had to be asked to provide the correct one to us - gave the impression of trying to steer us to a pricier menu. My guest's steak was full of gristle. Overall disappointing.

Despite having a reservation Jonathan was told there was no room. We even got a seated confirmation.

Host very friendly and we were late due to protests and traffic. One waitress was a bit blunt. Food was good, my sister had avocado on toast which was lovely but only one piece 🤔 so bit disappointed as it was £17.00 but I know its Mayfair!

I’ve dined at this restaurant 4 times in as many weeks because it’s convenient and the festive menu is superb. Each time the food has been great and the service warm and efficient.

We only had coffee, but would recommend that you put two shots into your latte. One shot makes the coffee two watery. Still a great little restaurant!

Considering that this restaurant is in one of the most posh neighbourhoods of London, the least you can expect is flawless service and food. Unfortunately, our experience was anything, but this. Where do I even begin? Walking in to the front door, a member of staff who was outside barged in through the door and knocked my partner with her shoulder. After sitting down and waiting for at least five minutes before a waiter decided to ask us what we would like, we ordered two coffees and scrambled eggs. Specifically, we ordered one portion to share and we asked for two extra plates in order to share the one portion of eggs. However, even without asking for the extra plates, when someone says the portion will be shared, it is inevitable that extra plates have to be brought to the table. Unfortunately, the scrambled eggs came without extra plates, and when we asked the waiter to bring us plates, she brought us two tiny plates that a coffee mug cannot fit on, and after asking for normal sized plates, the particular waiter was wondering around taking orders from other tables, knowing that we are waiting for two plates. For these reasons, I cannot rate this restaurant above one star however, for a Sunday, I must point out that the restaurant was understaffed with only two members of staff serving the whole restaurant, which could be a reason for this atrocious experience. Personally, I will never be visiting again, and I would not recommend this place to any of you, especially with all the other alternatives in an area like Mayfair.

I ordered the cauliflower and mushroom curry following the recommendation from one of the waiters, it was actually a burst of flavors, highly recommended. The portions are not massive but I think the quality of the food makes up for it. The service was good, very attentive and polite.

Venue is nice, food is good and the set menu is very reasonable. The only things that let the venue down was that the whole restaurant was freezing, mentioned it and was told the door on the terrace was open. So many people put their coats on whilst eating. The toilets are another thing that let this venue down, they are pretty grim and not sure they’ve seen bleachers in a while. Mens had water all over the place and just didn’t appear clean and the disabled toilets had flooded. This sadly would put me off coming back here which is a shame as the staff and the food were great.

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. It's also amazing value for money considering that it's right in the heart of Mayfair and has the feel of a local brasserie. The set menu is always very good, as is the a la carte, so you can choose what price point you want to have. The service is excellent and the restaurant is very pretty. Highly recommended.

I just had an espresso but it was one of the best espressos I ever had. It was as smooth and velvety as a Turkish coffee. I had a second one it was so good. 5 stars for the service, one of these little attention to details that are the mark of a classy establishment

After a little hiccup the staff delivered us the festive menu which was pleasant. Everything was super relaxed, and we had ample time to enjoy our conversations with no rush from the staff. There were a number of tables but it was just a calm environment. We were however out toward the back. There are more tables closer to the bar, which I could imagine would be slightly buzzier. My husband and I were celebrating our 21 year’s anniversary and went into London to visit some shops and have brunch. I chose Aubaine because I heard really good things about it from friends who had previously dined there. Needless to say, my husband and I were ‘over the moon’ pleased from first entering to leaving. A very nice looking place with a warm and welcoming ambience. The manager was exceptional and so kind and accommodating. Brunch was over when we arrived, but the manager arranged for me to have what I was craving, which was the French toast with toppings (“re-constructed” - inside joke! 😊) and it was gorgeous! Our server was lovely and friendly and she provided us with a really nice table to have our meal. I did mention it was our anniversary when I made the reservation and at the end of the meal, the manager arranged a slice of chocolate cake with two candles for our anniversary celebration - was unexpected and we were made to feel very special…also, that cake was sooooo good! Overall, we cannot speak highly enough about our dining experience at Aubaine, how amazing the manager was, the food, service, venue, etc. We will definitely go back again and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I love Aubaine - it's a little gem in the heart of Mayfair. The service, food and ambience is always great - it's such a pretty restaurant - and the set menu is amazing value (especially for Mayfair!).
