This coffee shop is very original. It has the vibes of an old Victorian public toilet with the entrance having black stairs going underground, the sanitary ware re-adapted to to let their clients sit and drink a coffee in what, back in the days, those tables were toilets. Such a cool location!!

they make such a good matcha! as well as all the people working there were very kind and attentive. there is limited seating, as well as because they are around the block from university of westminster, i wouldn't go in expecting seating. it is a cozy spot to work, and all the food they brought out smelled delicious

A place that deserve a walk to visit it! It is a unique place, an old public toilette converted into a bar. The design is unique and the staff is very friendly. We had a very good breakfast.

Once you get over the idea that you are eating and drinking in an area that was previously a men's toilet you laugh at the quirkiness. The coffee is really good and we were lucky to get a seat at a urinal. There are probably no more than 12 or 15 seats but was very busy whilst we were there. Well worth a visit.

A cute little coffee bar in an old Victorian bathroom. We went around 2:30 and found it to be pleasantly quiet and not too crowded. The chai tea had a wonderfully spicy bite and the latte art was beautiful.

I really liked the originality of this coffee shop. I came Thursday afternoon and was very well received. The servers are very nice and pleasant. I was able to charge my phone and enjoy a flat white in this unusual place. The proximity allows us to chat with people; I found it friendly.

This was a public restroom in the past, it was renovated but they don’t remove everything, is it is an interesting place 😊 it is located overground, the entrance is so cute. Coffee was good, and they had savoury options that seemed really good. They also have books in case you want to read something.

Simply iconic and a London institution. This is the original Attendant that opened 14 years ago. It's one of the last third wave coffee shops in the city that has endured all the storms of the industry. The team is friendly, the avo on toast is great and the matcha is delicious here. The only downside to being in a public toilet is that there is none for customers.

A hidden gem! This place is worth the detour, at least for the experience, but I also approve of their excellent coffee and brunch! We enjoyed ourselves. What a unique place this is! The café is located in a former underground bathroom from the Victorian age, with the urinals still present in its structure. We had a small breakfast there, which was very good (the Bircher Muesli was delicious and can be customised), and you can build your own brekkie. Showed up 10 minutes before closing but were warmly welcomed! Good atmosphere for a small place - didn't feel crowded. We had a hot choc and a mocha both of which were fine, not the best but certainly not bad. Served in takeaway cups due to them closing up but didn't make us feel hurried, so we stayed for 5 minutes. Glad we visited especially as it was raining so a nice warm drink was just right!

Best Cortado I have had in London. I have tried the highest rated coffee places and this has to be one of the top coffee. His coffee is perfectly brewed and the foam was some of the best I have ever had. I will return many times just because of this. The location is quite cool place for cool people, it is an old underground toilet which converted into a cafe.

A different kind of café. Super fun to convert an old toilet and turn it into a café. Sure it's small and so you might have to wait a bit, which we didn't have to. But it's worth it to see the extraordinary. And then also friendly and very attentive service. It was also delicious and you can't find the expensive prices of London here. Everything was just great and when we are back in London we will definitely come back.

I think people probably come here for the setting first but actually the coffee is fantastic, the staff are always lovely, and the prices fit the product which is rare in this part of town. I haven't tried any of the food yet, but I might treat myself next time.

We were intrigued by the very unusual entrance to this cafe and it turns out that it used to be a toilet in the Victorian era. The interior is very original, it’s fun! Furthermore, displaying nearby metro stations in real time is a great idea. Finally, my friend who had a coffee really enjoyed it.

I wasn’t sure what to think when my partner suggested going for a coffee in a disused public toilet, but i’d always wanted to try Attendant so was excited to visit a special venue. Obviously it was clean, but I still found the experience a bit gross - the walls are naturally grimy looking and the novelty wore off quickly for me. It’s a tiny, cramped venue with minimal seating - with barely enough space to move between the tables (and urinals), it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. Still, staff were friendly and we managed to get seated. Service was good and we were brought tap water without asking, which is always appreciated. We ordered a long black and a flat white, both lovely coffees which I would recommend. Unfortunately, we then seemed to commit a cardinal sin - enjoying a pastry from a bakery down the road alongside our coffee. We were told off by staff in front of the other customers and ordered to put this away - not something I’ve ever experienced in a coffee shop before, considering we’d bought drinks. This ruined our experience and while I would try Attendant coffee again, I would not return to or recommend this venue. We also decided not to tip on this basis - a shame, as this would’ve covered the cost of a pastry bought from there. (For the record, the food at Attendant looked awesome and I would try it in future. We just didn’t appreciate being treated like naughty school children when we’d bought coffees.)

Quaint subterranean coffee shop maintaining the theme of its lavatorial history. Cleverly reflected with its urinal-separated bar counter. Very “Instagrammable” as witnessed by the many gen Z pics taken in the hope of smashing it with that elusive viral post that they all yearn for. All this “While Working from Home” or having taken sick-leave due to mental stress. The irony of the place - it does not have a toilet facility! Good coffee, though.

So getting my bird into this place was actually hilarious especially as its outside a pub. Was like I'm not going into a men's piss hole. Obviously once inside it was delightful urinal. And she enjoyed some nice food and coffee whilst reminiscing about all the no doubt upmarket activities the urinals had seen. You can't just spend a penny here anymore tho inflation means it's pounds now.

I was lucky enough to snag a table to enjoy my latte and breakfast sandwich. The staff was very friendly and welcoming to all customers. The coffee was delicious and the food was top notch. I definitely recommend this cafe for an enjoyable coffee and quick bite.

What you see when you arrive at the door is like a ground entrance you would see in some undergrounds. It is very special and stylish. , and then I didn’t expect that what I saw when I walked down the stairs and entered was actually...a toilet!? 😂, no, it is actually a converted toilet, and this toilet is not an ordinary toilet. It was originally a public toilet in the Victorian era in the 19th century, so in The "equipment" is different from today's toilets. For example, the boys' urinal that was converted into a single-seat area is made of porcelain. Some of the stylish tiles on the floor are also the tiles of public toilets back then. But the coffee is excellent so it’s not a gimmick, loved it!
