Showed up 10 minutes before closing but were warmly welcomed! Good atmosphere for a small place - didn't feel crowded. We had a hot choc and a mocha both of which were fine, not the best but certainly not bad. Served in takeaway cups due to them closing up but didn't make us feel hurried, so we stayed for 5 minutes. Glad we visited especially as it was raining so a nice warm drink was just right!

Coffee has such a great taste, you can smell the roasted beans directly from the cup, and it tastes so great

Best Cortado I have had in London. I have tried the highest rated coffee places and this has to be one of the top coffee. His coffee is perfectly brewed and the foam was some of the best I have ever had. I will return many times just because of this. The location is quite cool place for cool people, it is an old underground toilet which converted into a cafe.

Very cute, I enjoyed going there. The latte was a smaller size than expected 😅 but I can see myself coming back when around this area.

The place is truly surprising, due to its origin and the creativity of giving it a second chance given that it used to be a urinal and today it is a large cafeteria. The cuisine is simple but delicious with fresh and well-prepared products. The staff is attentive and friendly. Without a doubt I would return

A different kind of café. Super fun to convert an old toilet and turn it into a café. Sure it's small and so you might have to wait a bit, which we didn't have to. But it's worth it to see the extraordinary. And then also friendly and very attentive service. It was also delicious and you can't find the expensive prices of London here. Everything was just great and when we are back in London we will definitely come back.

Great coffee, great service, very interesting location and athmosphere.

I think people probably come here for the setting first but actually the coffee is fantastic, the staff are always lovely, and the prices fit the product which is rare in this part of town. I haven't tried any of the food yet, but I might treat myself next time.

Special environment, small and inviting, very good and well-prepared food

We were intrigued by the very unusual entrance to this cafe and it turns out that it used to be a toilet in the Victorian era. The interior is very original, it’s fun! Furthermore, displaying nearby metro stations in real time is a great idea. Finally, my friend who had a coffee really enjoyed it.

I wasn’t sure what to think when my partner suggested going for a coffee in a disused public toilet, but i’d always wanted to try Attendant so was excited to visit a special venue. Obviously it was clean, but I still found the experience a bit gross - the walls are naturally grimy looking and the novelty wore off quickly for me. It’s a tiny, cramped venue with minimal seating - with barely enough space to move between the tables (and urinals), it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. Still, staff were friendly and we managed to get seated. Service was good and we were brought tap water without asking, which is always appreciated. We ordered a long black and a flat white, both lovely coffees which I would recommend. Unfortunately, we then seemed to commit a cardinal sin - enjoying a pastry from a bakery down the road alongside our coffee. We were told off by staff in front of the other customers and ordered to put this away - not something I’ve ever experienced in a coffee shop before, considering we’d bought drinks. This ruined our experience and while I would try Attendant coffee again, I would not return to or recommend this venue. We also decided not to tip on this basis - a shame, as this would’ve covered the cost of a pastry bought from there. (For the record, the food at Attendant looked awesome and I would try it in future. We just didn’t appreciate being treated like naughty school children when we’d bought coffees.)

Quaint subterranean coffee shop maintaining the theme of its lavatorial history. Cleverly reflected with its urinal-separated bar counter. Very “Instagrammable” as witnessed by the many gen Z pics taken in the hope of smashing it with that elusive viral post that they all yearn for. All this “While Working from Home” or having taken sick-leave due to mental stress. The irony of the place - it does not have a toilet facility! Good coffee, though.

So getting my bird into this place was actually hilarious especially as its outside a pub. Was like I'm not going into a men's piss hole. Obviously once inside it was delightful urinal. And she enjoyed some nice food and coffee whilst reminiscing about all the no doubt upmarket activities the urinals had seen. You can't just spend a penny here anymore tho inflation means it's pounds now.

It’s just a regular coffee, nothing special

I recently visited Attendant Coffee and was thoroughly impressed. The customer service was exceptional; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The coffee was superb, with a rich and smooth flavor that was just perfect. The breakfast options were equally delightful. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great start to their day!

The place is as surprising as ever. You rarely see the old bathroom stalls being turned into a great specialty coffee spot. The cold brew and batch brew made my day and as a coffee lover, I just enjoyed every second of it. The only thing that I did not notice was the bathroom, but that might be on me.

Attendant Coffee, which already has several branches in London, has a branch in Fitzrovia. I think it is probably the most interesting one in the Attendant series. What you see when you arrive at the door is like a ground entrance you would see in some undergrounds. It is very special and stylish. , and then I didn’t expect that what I saw when I walked down the stairs and entered was actually...a toilet!? 😂, no, it is actually a converted toilet, and this toilet is not an ordinary toilet. It was originally a public toilet in the Victorian era in the 19th century, so in The "equipment" is different from today's toilets. For example, the boys' urinal that was converted into a single-seat area is made of porcelain. Some of the stylish tiles on the floor are also the tiles of public toilets back then. I wonder if you can still see them when you look up. Is the water storage tank also from the equipment of that year? In addition, the store has also cleverly designed and matched some objects. I especially like the hanging picture of a boy wearing glasses, and the common Underground signs with estimated train arrival times. With all these, I think the environmental design is The biggest highlight and selling point of Fitzrovia’s Attendant Coffee. The tomato cheese croissant for breakfast I tasted this time was normal, and so was the coffee. It didn't have any impact once you took it in, it was just coffee and bread. Regarding the food itself, everyone thinks that there may not be a need for a special visit, but after considering the environmental design, I feel that it is still worth exploring.

Quirky, unique setting with excellent friendly service and great coffee in a lovely street and area! Underground, a tiny converted Victorian lavatory (yes an old gent’s toilet!) with the original urinals, this is probably the most unique coffee experience. But the coffee is excellent so it’s not a gimmick, loved it!

Cute place but rude staff member. Got a coffee “to go” but decided to stay and they offered us a table, then decided 10 mins later they wanted the table for other customers because we originally intended to order “to go”. Also no toilets for customers. Should learn some business etiquette.

I bought a book on London Coffee Shops and have wanted to try this one for sometime. On the way to the Summer Fete on Foley Street today, I dropped by and it was very much worth the wait. The staff are kind, attentive and adhere to the most hygienic standards when preparing food. I had the maple bacon with avocado and a coffee. It was delicious, the must is great too and such a relaxed atmosphere. It does get busy so be patient as it’s very much worth queuing for the staff are efficient at turning over the tables ready for the next guest!

The coffee is good, and I like the ambiance. The service is good, especially the guy who is very accommodating.

It’s a quirky experience drinking your coffee facing an old urinal! The cafe is quite small but a fun place to visit. I wouldn’t want to have a lengthy lunch there, as it is a little claustrophobic but for a short break it’s ideal.

By the time we got there with my friend they only served in take away cups which was a bummer considering the unnecessary plastic pollution. I wanted to drink a batch brew but they only had cold brew at that time. Ironically, there is no costumer toilet. Despite these, the coffee quality was very good and it’s most definitely a unique place which worth the visit.

Top 3 flat whites I have had in London. I have tried 30+ of the highest rated coffee places in the city and this has to be one of the top for great, great coffee. I ordered only a flat white (both time I have been) and the drink was perfect. Excellent espresso and the foam was some of the best I have ever had. I will return many times just because of this. The location is quite cool, under the street in Fitzrovia. It is an old urinal. There are enough seats for only about 10-12 people so be wary at busy times that you may need to wait if you want to stay in. They are dog friendly, but there is not a lot of space for dogs to lay on the floor. They don’t mind you working on your computer there and they have WiFi. However, due to the limited space I would suggest being considerate and not planning to be there all afternoon.

Got the Salt Beef Bagel and a coffee. Coffee is really good and wasn't scalding hot so didn't melt my face just the perfect temperature. Salt Beef Bagel was good though would have liked a little bit more heat to go with the meat and cheese filling.

what a lovely cute place in London! I really liked this almost dungeon-like feeling to this underground small place, it's about good coffee, good food and mood, and kind staffs. The staffs there were so nice, it really lifted up my mood. I was afraid this place might be quite touristic as people see it on Insta, but it was quiet and calm when I was there on Monday late morning with mainly locals getting their coffee. Lovely place, thank you for the great music and your friendly vibe that lifted up my mood! :)

Nice coffee and food, a bit pricier than other cafés, but consider it as buying an experience of sipping a coffee in Victorian public toilets. The Attendant is very smart for choosing this location. The seating is very limited so I recommend going there before noon to avoid the crowd, and to have the place almost entirely yours to take as many photos you want. It’s table service, and you pay when you finish. So don’t just simply walk out! The staff is so nice and kind. Ask them for the wifi password if you want to use the Internet.

An unusual place to have coffee an old converted Victorian toilet but at the same time a somewhat very interesting location found in central London. When you go down the stairs for the first time and enter into what would have been a men's lavatory. You can see the retains of this Victorian toilet years ago, urinals and overhead wc's on the walls with white tiles and and the old style tile flooring. First thoughts are that you have traveled back in time to the art deco years of Old London. Staff are truly warm and welcoming and this is one of the few places you will find a true barista serving you coffee, even down to the smaller details are asking if you would like a glass of water with your coffee to keep your palate fresh. The food options were just right not to many whilst at the same time complementing the different types of coffee available. With regards to the price, very reasonable. This coffee house is definitely worth a visit even if you just want to soak up the history whilst drinking a very good coffee. I will definitely be going back in the very near future.

To discover, absolutely when you are in the neighborhood

This Victorian public lavatory was built circa 1890 it is located in Fitzrovia, and it is a hidden gem. Its facade of wrought iron work is unashamedly Victorian. Once you descend down the stairs into this subterranean space, you are met with a complete makeover. Urinals are now converted to intimate spaces to have coffee, savouries & pasteries. The food and service were incredible! We were served by Roman. There's a lot to be said about a person who sings while they work, and that is "he is happy." Having brunch or a quick pitstop here will not disappoint.

If you are looking for an atypical place then you are in the right place. In fact, this tiny Coffeeshop was a former public toilet. We were able to enjoy a breakfast there which was very good and homemade. In addition, the staff is adorable and smiling.

Although the Attendant Coffee Roasters is small, the place is atypical. The atmosphere is friendly, the food is tasty and cheap especially the "Victoria Cake" and you can easily interact with other clients. The staff is effective and gives good advice as well as particularly knowledgeable about out of ordinary spots in London to visit.

This unique cafe, set in a refurbished Victorian urinal, is charming and distinctive. The Birchermüesli was particularly delightful. For a unique experience, you can choose to sit inside the converted urinals or at a table nearby. Just find the entrance marked by the cafe sign and head downstairs.

Such wonderful use of a historic underground toilet. Don’t be put off by this, the surroundings and use of old sanitary ware if ingenious. Oh and plus the coffee and cakes are amazing, especially the chocolate banana cake

I visited the Attendant Coffee Roasters (Foley Street) for morning coffee. Coffee was very good; service was excellent and so was the pastry that accompanied my coffee. However, sat on a stool on what was a gentleman’s urinal (in which a counter-top had been inserted) seemed strange. There are some normal table and chairs were the cubicles used to be, but these are better suited to couples / small groups, and I was on my own. I have so often seen the Attendant Coffee Roasters on TV travel shows and in magazine / internet articles that I was glad to have visited. Beware that this coffee house is small and I would suspect at lunchtime and weekends it could get very busy (and quite a number of people were arriving as I left), but late Monday morning there was just me a few of us.

Nous avons partagé en famille un excellent moment dans ce lieu atypique et à l'atmosphère très anglaise et agréable. Les sandwiches sont très bons. Le service et l'accueil est parfait ! L'endroit étant assez prisé (peu de place assises: 12 au plus), si vous souhaitez manger sur place; il peut y avoir un délai d'attente. Pour 5 personnes, nous avons attendu 20 min (pas de quoi s'impatienter non plus).
