Staff exceptional in all departments. This isn’t luck but shows the ethos set from the top down. We had a lovely mini break and felt we had been there for two weeks. The food was brilliant but feel the profiteroles in the Atrium should be made illegal. Highly recommended.

We had Dinner at The Atrium on our recent stay at The Dalmeny. A stylish venue which also looks highly suitable for weddings and celebrations. We both had a great roast beef dinner which was good value and a very generous serving. Service was attentive, wine was well priced and we'd eat here again for sure.

Everyone at the Dalmeny go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, we've been many times on the Sunday Stopover which is really good value. We stayed in room 56 which is front facing and very spacious with a patio and garden. It is one of the few rooms which have a wet room and suitable for anyone who is disabled. The Atrium where we ate our evening meal is a beautiful restaurant and the food was very good apart from the leek & potato soup which was very watery and tasteless, but everything else was delicious. The quality of the food at breakfast time is of a high quality, although the breakfast is served in a room on the lower ground and can be very busy, it is self service so you can have as much or as little as you want.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

I revisited this restaurant with 5 friends, comprising 3 couples out to celebrate one of the party commencing a new job. Admittedly it is a few years since we have eaten there, but have done so on a number of occasions including friendship and corporate events. The standard of food and service used to be very good and it was definitely worthy of local custom and support. However, following our experience last evening we have totally revised our opinion and will not be returning. Standards have plummeted at The Atrium and there a few excellent venues in St Annes, including hotel restaurants, where I would rather spend my time and money. On arrival we were unable to gain entry via the restaurant door which appeared to be boarded up! We went in via the main hotel reception and were informed that the entry is locked in inclement weather. However there is no information to that effect on the outside.. We arrived early with the intention of going upstairs to have a drink at the mezzanine cocktail bar but unfortunately it was closed. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful young man who asked if we had a reservation and I confirmed that I had booked several days earlier. There was no record of the reservation and it was suggested that we go for a drink in the Indigo bar whilst a table was prepared. The nice young man came to take us to our table and expressed concern that the reservation had not been communicated and would speak to us after the meal about the date and time of the booking. The waiting staff were very young and not very enthusiastic or well informed. We were given the menu of the day, 3 courses for £19, and the a la cart. There is no flexibility on choosing... my friend wanted the prawn cocktail from the specials and lamb from a la cart but that's not an option. Wine choice is very limited too, 2 whites, 2 reds and 2 rose. My starter was excellent, delicious. King prawns in a creamy garlic sauce and crispy bread. The food was variable thereafter. 2 portions of lamb, one quite large and perfectly pink in the middle, the other much smaller and overcooked. Same with sirloin steaks radically different in size, the larger being very rare but acceptable to the person eating it. One of the wine glasses was still wet and foggy with condensation and a replacement napkin was soiled with food inside. Paper one, not linen. Desserts were unremarkable, Eaton mess in a martini style glass with a scoop of ice-cream on top, except one which randomly had 2 scoops! After desserts we were deserted and had to find a staff member to order coffees. We all wanted ordinary filter coffees and 5 liqueurs such as Cointreau and amaretto. The coffee's are prepared in the indigo bar which is up stairs and across the reception area. What we actually received were 5 special coffees with the alcohol in the coffee and cream floating on top. 3 decided to keep them which was unfortunate for one of our party as the special coffee was devoid of alcohol. Not so special. I explained to the waitress that we wanted coffee in cups and Cointreau in a glass, she informed me that what she brought was how the bar were making them tonight !!? It was about 22.45 by this time. We were rather surprised when 2 staff members came out with huge sweeping brushes and started to sweep the floor around the table. It was laughable really, we thought it was time to go even thought the plates were not cleared from the table. We decided to end the evening in the Indigo bar, a couple of tables were occupied but the shutters were down at the bar. It was just about 23.00hrs and the bar staff were still there and kindly served us.The young man never did ask about the reservation, so if anyone from management is interested, it was Friday 30th Oct at 22.30 via phone call to main reception. This venue is adequate for a 3* hotel restaurant catering for residents. When we were seated we were asked for our room number and the staff member was surprised when we said we were local and had just come in for a meal. Now I understand why.

We ate at The Atrium during our stay at The Dalmeny, and were very pleasantly surprised. The menu wasn't perhaps the most exciting on paper. But in execution, the food was well prepared, the staff were great, the venue was smart, with a round table that worked perfectly for the larger group. I was particularly impressed when the chef came out to talk about the timing of our booking, not wanting our dining experience to be spoilt by potentially be being behind an even larger group in ordering. With a mixture of burgers, pizzas, pastas, meat and fish dishes, there's something for almost everyone, but perhaps nothing you won't have seen before,

I ordered three times my main course, and each time I received the wrong food! The staff do not know their menu, the chef did not seem to have the items on their menu. They brought the wrong wine. There were other tables making loud complaints at the same time. The pudding (waffle) was cremated, black coal. The puddings took over 45 minutes to arrive. They gave us the puddings free, and the wrong food. Bad all round.

We ate in the Atrium within the Dalmeny Hotel as part of a charity event and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food- not only for the number of people that attended but also for the price paid. OK the drinks were a little on the expensive side but that's not unusual for a hotel but generally we had a good time. One other good point, there's a reasonable amount of underground parking at the hotel but the spaces are a bit tight- take care.

Dined here yesterday with lot work colleagues. We all made our choices and awaited the food to arrive. The acoustics of the building were terrible, you have to virtually shout to speak to the person across table to you! Its totally weird because can hear conversation from other tables better than people barely two foot away from you!Starters came, nice food enjoyed by allMains came, once again nice food.Sweets..... Bear in mind we had all ordered our sweets at same time as starters and mains...The people having cheese biscuits were given theirs.......About ten minutes later those having creme brulee were served.....Then after several requests to the staff to be told 'they're on the way' we were waiting and waiting for sticky toffee puddings!! The server actually came to ask the table if everything alright with the sweets...we hadn't even received ours!!! Seriously quarter of hour after the creme brulees our desserts arrived, was expecting fab pud due to the wait......wrong! Was lukewarm, ice cream virtually liquefied but the sauce was nice.Bitterly disappointed, I certainly won't be returning with my family. Such a shame, sorry

My kids (8 and 7) and wife love it here. I must confess though, I really enjoy the food and service too. We've eaten between us the duck, the steak, risotto (very very filling), the Thai chicken curry and different pizzas, plus different things off the children's menu. All the dishes have very nice ingredients, are prepared well and to a great standard. For those that eat out a lot, the chef(s) here really seem to care about how their guests perceive their dishes - I like that. Desserts are really very tasty too. With a decent bottle of wine, the bill has consistently been around the £105 mark for the 4 of us, a tip on top. But, I don't mind this as the serving staff are lovely and the ambience of the restaurant space is very calm. Of all the restaurants we have visited in the Lytham St Anne's area, although it pains me to admit it, this remains the favourite for all 4 of us.

I ordered a fillet steak for my main at £25.00 - It was presented very nice & it was a good piece of meat however a bit tasteless then to my disgust it was served with frozen oven chips. I'd expect that at the carvery over the road but not when you pay £25.00. I did complain on 2 occasions and i've emailed the hotel however I was not offered an alternative and not offered any refund. We've dined and relaxed in the Pavilion cafe many times over the years and the quality of food and service has always been HQ. We're very aware that the main costs of running any eatery nowadays is very high, but pleased to say the owners have kept the quality of food etc to the same high standard, whilst keeping portions and prices reasonable too. Always a pleasure to see well behaved doggie visitors here too, and grateful to the cafe owners for keeping yappy dogs (and kids) under control, even if their owners cant. Nothing nicer on a summer's day than to sit in the ' cafe forecourt' with a great coffee and some tasty food

First time calling at this place came in the evening and back the following day for breakfast. This place did not disappoint friendly most hard working staff who make us feel welcome from start to finish. The food was hot, fresh and most importantly not dry unlike the Bolton branch when we recently visited, they could learn so much from this place. The beer garden is great a little sun trap and on the beach front that is a bonus. If you are in St Anne’s then this place is well and truly worth a visit. Keep up the great work.

Visited as a large group for a special birthday, dined in a private dining room which was lovely, waiters were efficient. I'm afraid it was the food that let Lytham house down, the food tasted lovely however we had to send several meals back as they were cold or undercooked . We did not want to upset the Birthday girl so several of us did not complain or say anything when food was cold, my beef wellington was tepid and my vegetables were cold, our sticky toffee puddings was cold and dry (like it had not been cooked long enough). Very disappointed 😞
