Friday evening visit to the local chippy. Friendly staff, fish was a generous size and really tasty with crispy batter. Chips were well cooked, and were still crispy when we got them home. Really good, thank you!

This chippy has been here for many many years however it has been taken over and re vamped by its current owners The food is to die for it has been the very best cod and chips i have ever had and the service ans staff are very freindly and happy to serve The only and massive down side to this beautiful little business is they will not accept electronic payments over the counter and with this day and age of digital money is suicidal for a busines to ignore sch a huge revenue stream as this. given the surrounding businesses around which are well versed in the use of digital payment it is a big shame.yes credit / debit card machines present an additional expence but given the amount of cash which passes over the counter this should not be an issue for this business. accepted they can take web based orders over the internet but that is no good for passing and historic trade what so ever, come on guys climb onto the 21st century ! .

Looked up cafes for breakfast near the port and found this gem. Nothing to look at as its a porta cabin but inside its clean and the food is excellent. Thick bread and butter, great breakfasts and very reasonable prices. Love the dog but not sure everyone would appreciate the staff stroking the dog and then continuing to serve food but we love dogs and doesn't bother us. The tea and coffee were best tasted, not fancy just proper tea and coffee. Would definately recommend, parking at the rear too. Easy to walk from port or premier inn, and great value. Staff very friendly and will definitely return next trip to Newhaven.

The kind lady serving was so helpful providing us with a ramp for my mother in law to get her wheel chair into the cafe. The food and drink was great and we will definitely be going back again..

A plate of happiness in every visit. Chilled little cafe that sells excellent fruit and vegetables, great coffee and can even get a glass of wine but I like the breakfasts and a tea :)
