Atlantic Restaurant in Coleraine

I don’t like giving poor reviews, but here we go. The food was not great quality and pretty greasy - we couldn’t finish it. The decor of the restaurant needs modernisation. Quite dull. A number of the chairs were threadbare in places. The salt and pepper cellars very dated. In fact the whole lot was Not be back

We were here for dinner this evening and the service and food were excellent. Highly recommend a visit to the restaurant which opens at 6pm. The menu is small but all the food being served out looked wonderful. Everyone was delighted with their food we will definitely be back again and again! Go on treat yourself you deserve to try one of their mouth watering dishes, top compliments to the chef's for such wonderful food and the staff for making us feel so welcome!

Visited the hotel at Easter for a meal - hadn't been for a number of years & certainly not since the hotel was taken over, so wasn't sure what to expect! We had an excellent window seat & an excellent meal - friendly staff, speedy service etc; will certainly be back again.

Been a while since I’ve been in this restaurant and to be honest I was a little hesitated to go regarding reviews ... but I can honestly say I’m glad I made my own decision.. Restaurant has been renovated and looks absolutely fantastic. Food and service I give 5 stars . Will definitely recommend and can’t wait to return.

We arrived a bit late and still had great service from the start. There was always a waiter or staff member in sight and ready to help. One friend is dairy free and they had good knowledge of what she could and couldn't have. She was able to enjoy a starter, main and desert along with the rest of us. The food was great and we enjoyed everything. The portions are good sizes and very tasty. Will definitely be going back.

A party of five, two in the party habe food intolerances and/or allergies. We explained what these were ....to two different members of staff and to the more senior waiter twice. One person with allergies was served their starter - complete with allergens - twice. The person with intolerances was served their meal with foods they couldnt tolerate ...twice! Another diner was served their starter minus foods they didnt have amy problem with and another got served the wrong meal Only one person got the correct meal The senior waiter claimed he had provided the correct info to the kitchen and that we had not given all the allergy/intolerance informstion to him - this last is factually incorrect. He said sorry but we were given absolutely no recompense. If you have any food allergies or intolerances please please do not consider going to this restsurant

Had eaten here in previous years and always enjoyed it. This visit was just ok. I didnt find the staff very friendly and the meal was just ok, nothing special. Quite disappointed.

We visited the Ramada Hotel on a regular basis before it was taken over and renamed as the Portrush Atlantic Hotel. We always thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. On the 13th July 2017 we decided to call into the Atlantic to see if there was any availability for an evening meal. We were told there was no wait and were seated immediately. This was surprising on a bank holiday evening. When we sat down I noticed the carpets were very dirty with food visible on the floors. We both ordered. I ordered garlic bread for a starter and we both ordered steak sandwiches for the main course. The garlic bread was overcooked and cold with a few wet salad leaves with no sauce on the side. I did not finish it but said nothing in the hope the main course would be to a higher standard. The main courses arrived and the first thing we noticed was that presentation was poor. The meat was very fatty and greasy, chips were undercooked and the pepper sauce was very watered down. The staff never came to ask if everything was ok and every time I tried to get someone's attention they walked past. My wife and I decided we could not eat anything and went up to the desk and asked if the restaurant manager was available. The waiter pointed us towards the bar manager. I explained everything to the bar manager and his response was 'why did you not draw it to the attention of the waiter?' When we explained that none of the waitering staff came near us he stopped. We then told him to go to our table and see all the food for himself but he declined. He looked at our bill and said that he would not charge us for the main courses. He said that the restaurant manager was off that day. This was a complete shock for us as we never had any complaints here before. My wife then went to the toilet and was shocked at the poor cleanliness which again was a shock. We certainly will not be back here. It is sad to see this happening and would hate to see this place deteriorating any further. Very sad indeed. The main courses

Came here for Sunday Lunch as we had eaten in the bar 1 year ago and it was nice and reasonably priced. Today we came I had the roast beef dinner, roast beef tough and dry, gravy like water, mash lumpy and needed way more butter, veg boring and not seasoned. Got chips on the side but they were under cooked. Partners beef burger looked and tasted like it had been pre cooked and heated up, again burger dry. I suspect this is a cook in the kitchen and not a chef. Service lacked personal touch. Would hate to see this place get worse. Must do better to keep customers from spending an extra £ or 2 and going elsewhere like The Ramore for way better food.

Me and my girlfriend ordered a blue and rare 10oz sirlion but were served a barely medium to well done steak. Not even asked by the waiter what we had ordered, he just simply set them down whatever was handiest to him. We had to swap with my girlfriend as my "blue" steak was practically well done and hers was a little pink. Really disappointed and will not be ordering steak again if I ever am back...

We stayed for one night and it was a really wet windy night. We had a room on the very top floor and unfortunately something banged all night in the wind outside our window but the room was clean and really warm. The receptionist were very friendly. The breakfast is self service so my husband filled his plate on the good old Ulster Fry and we heartily enjoyed it to set us up for the blowy weather outside. The waiters were helpful but no real banter or over friendliness with them. Good location. Will come back.

Just went to restaurant for dinner with my wife . We ordered chicken dish and monkfish dish , most of which went back . As we arrived we both commented on the sign stating and food is locally sourced and cooked fresh the question is when was it cooked . My monkfish came out with a cream sauce which was a yellow colour and a cream colour under the monkfish. My wife's chicken had an after taste. We live in a beautiful part of the world can we not show or locals and visitors better than this

Good selection of family meals and good value for money, but only if you order before 6pm, because the menu may look slightly different after 6pm, but it is the same dish, for quite a considerable price increase. Staff could have been more attentive, we had to ask somebody to take our drinks order, then to take our meal order. Therefore, don't expect excellent service and order before 6pm, and you shouldn't be disappointed, as the food is quite good.

Visited recently for family celebration. O dear! This place has got nothing right! Decor SEEMS opulent but take a closer look and it's really not. Service non existent. I'd to take drinks orders myself, convey them to staff, who then plonked all down in front of me to pass on! Food very basic, not even a garnish. In summary, food unappetising and badly cooked, service awful, no atmosphere. Would never recommend this place and certainly won't be back

Made two mistakes last night , the first was not reading the reviews for the deerstalker on tp , the second was eating in the deerstalker at Kelly's . Awful food and not recommended at all . I only give this one star because the barman was polite !!!!

Good grub with a decent menu. Reasonably priced. Great for our large party. Restaurant was very busy - always a good sign! Staff very friendly and attentive. Will return :-)

Limited menu, staff a bit uppity, nice decor, and good for large groups it wouldn't be my first choice to eat there its basically very simple dishes

We have been going to kellys/Atlantic restaurant for years as we have a caravan on the site. We try to update our review every year as menus and staff change.The snack food is really good value and a decent quality but we still find alot of dishes in the restaurant can be very hit and miss. We have had good meals and some pretty poor ones. Our biggest complaint would be that some dishes are very bland and not great flavour which is not what you would expect with competition from so many other great restaurants in the area. We still love the layout and atmosphere of the bar and restaurant. The staff are all fantastic.Pity that some of the dishes on the menu are hit and miss.

Along the north coast we are inundated with high quality restaurants to dine in. So after hearing great reviews for both lunch and dinner in The Deer Stalker we decided to give it a go. Upon entering the restaurant immediately I was struck by the lack of atmosphere,the restaurant was in silence. We where presented with the lunch menu and after browsing all I can say is the choices are not great. Food arrived presented on plates that where far to large making the portions look tiny. Eagerly we tucked in and that's when disappointment really hit home. The food was bland. Chicken was so dry was like chewing a cracker. The chilli beef was so tough it took ages to chew even the smallest mouthful. To say we where disappointed is an understatement. With the selection of high quality restaurants in the area we most definitely won't be back here. A lot of improvement required if The Deer Stalker is ever to rival any of the restaurants around the area.

1st time in 3 years and 0% improvement. Food tasteless and steak ruined with pepper even though not advertised as such. Wouldn't eat here again even if it was FREE

As a caravaner we have been coming here all season and have sampled various dishes from the extensive menu, duck, lamb, fish, beef and chicken. Great tasteing food, friendly staff and excellent value for money.

Concert payant annoncé pour ce vendredi soir à 9:30 PM. A 11:15 PM, concert toujours pas démarré. Nous avons décidé de nous en aller. Soit, nous n'étions vraiment pas nombreux mais par respect pour ceux qui avaient payés, la moindre des choses aurait été de faire le concert ànoncé ou de rembourser. Plus jamais.

Visited here with my family for an evening out. There was little ambiance about the place and staff seemed inexperienced. I ordered pork medallions from the menu, however my plate appeared with dry colourless pork and a cut up fried courgette, it was really unappetising. Unfortunately my husband was so uninspired by the menu he ordered a burger. The children's meals were ok. I will not be rushing back, this place has so much potential but really needs to up its game.

Delicious food, lovely staff and beautiful surroundings, in my opinion this place is number one restaurant in Portrush!

Stayed here for the weekend and cannot find any fault in this place. Food is top notch. Staff are all friendly and polite. New Deerstalker bar is absolutely fantastic with music friday and saturday nights. Cant wait to return

Dined at the Deerstalker Restaurant this evening. Although the restaurant was very busy and we hadn't made a reservation, we were seated immediately. Our order was taken very quickly by a polite member of staff. We ordered beef penne pasta, rump steak and a chicken dish. All of our meals were delicious, especially the steak which was cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the prices for the dishes are great value too. The manager Kieran checked on us throughout our meal and this made us feel very welcome. Love the decor and will definitely be back many times in the near future!!

was there on sunday evening with my wife.Ordered lamb shank now I know it has bone but it's supposed to have meat not pure fat and skin.had a side of mash which was cold in the middle. wife had breast of duck it was something you could put on the sole of your shoe and wear it----must have been cold and then reheated. some good eating places on the north coast but on this experience this is not one of them.And i'am local. Never again.

Being going here for years as we have a caravan on site and we couldn't wait until the new bar opened earlier this year. It has to be said that the new deerstalker bar is beyond our expectations!!. It is so well laid out, decor is fantastic ,great atmosphere and the bar staff are all so friendly (A little confused about the stables area as a lot of people are smoking in this section of the bar and i think it is too closed in for this ?).Unfortunately it has to be said that the restaurant's quality of food is average to poor compared to the other restaurants in town. I'm am not basing this judgment on one meal. We have dined there a number of times since easter and tried various dishes from the menu that are just not up to scratch. You can certainly get a good burger and chips and their battered cod is as good as anywhere else but too many dishes are just not well cooked and can be very bland.We have had the sea bass which comes with very oily and not well seasoned vegetables. The medium rare steaks we ordered on two occasions arrived medium to well done and again were very bland. (£20 for a sirloin and no fillet on the menu). The chicken breast with mash was again very bland and dry. We could go on about other disappointing choices from the menu but it was a similar problem with the standard of cooking.The desserts are not much to rave about either, they are just ok but definatley way below the standard of other restaurants in town in terms of quality, portion size and value for money.In short. We love the great new bar and you can't go far wrong with the snack food on offer. It is just such a pity that dining in the main restaurant is not quite good enough and the menu is in need of a MAJOR SHAKE UP!! to compete with what is on offer not far down the road.If I was a school teacher I'm afraid it would be a "could do much better".

The food here has always been good and i have no problems there. However last summer when down with my family we tried to phone and book a meal and were told they were taking no bookings but to come down any time, so went down early expecting a wait, only to be told upon arrival that the restaurant was fully booked. This happened again about 3 weeks ago to me and my other half.....its a little confusing to be told no bookings and then arrive and told 'sorry fully booked'. Thankfully the last time the manager managed to get us squeezed in which meant waiting over 1 hour for table, which isn't a huge deal but i do feel a little put off by what would otherwise be a great restaurant due to this confusing problem.

Went there on Easter Sunday . There was 48 of us for lunch and the Atlantic gave us a private room with carvery which was brilliant . The food and service was with a smile and Kieran went out of his way to accommodate the children and adults alike . First class job by you all . Thanks again

We take our Young daughter here on a regular basis food is great menu is full of choice for all they will do there best to accommodate your kilds staff are very helpful and interact with the kids you feel very at home

Mothers Day Lunch, we booked a table for 5 and we were extremely pleased with the food and service we received. Everyone had something different from the Menu and all was very tasty and excellent value. The roast beef and sticky toffee pudding were especially good. The service was excellent and the staff were all extremely helpful and we didn't feel rushed, the surroundings are modern, clean and comfortable and the level the background music was being played at, was spot on. Very pleasant dining experience and we will return. Thanks to all at the Atlantic.

Nice variety of food and drink and very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated.

Went one Sunday as a family meal. On the positive side the food was great. The 2 course traditional Sunday dinner is excellent both in terms of taste and value as our two children ate free.My rating however was so due to the slow service. The food took a bit of time to be served initially and we actually had to ask for the waiter to come to clear the table after our main course and take our dessert order. It wasn't very busy either and they were standing around chatting. All in all I think we were there almost 2 whole hours.

Love family meal. Love the fact that they have a wide ranged kids menu and its not just the typical burger/chicken nuggets/sausage choice. My kids love their food and a roast beef dinner was top of their choice here. They loved every mouthful.Great fish range on menu with their specials always seem to include a fish dish too.I'd sea bream it was delicious. My other half had a good old faithful steak & he was mega happy.Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful food - perfect!!

Kellys , sorry The Atlantic.Have been going here for years and years. (We have a caravan on site).The staff and restaurant have always been great.The food is good value and good quality. Yes, there are better restaurants in the town if your after a top class culinary experience but it is still good food at reasonable prices. If your really watching your pennies I would recommend the early bird menu where you can get a good quality dinner before 6.30 for under a tenner.The decor in the restaurant is fantastic, very comfortable seating and well laid out.Good quality wines are not that expensive and we have always been very happy with the house wines for about £11 or £12.The only thing that we have been disappointed in is the bar areas around the restaurant. Years ago before the restaurant was re-designed the bar areas in Kellys (The Atlantic) were very well laid out and had a great atmosphere for a socialable drink before or after dinner. The restaurant was improved but the only bar area left beside the restaurant was terrible.All is not lost !!!!Two new bars currently under construction to be open by easter 2015.It sounds like these two bar areas are going to make the whole complex more like it used to be years ago (somewhere to go before and after your meal)Really excited to see the whole place completed and hope to return with a 5* review.

I visited here with a partner for a nice dinner. We had starters which went down well & I had wine which also went down well. We were greeted by a friendly gentleman to be told we could sit on comfy chairs as the restaurant itself was being refurnished or something. We didnt mind at all as we sat beside an open fire with the tv infront & also the remote which was a nice touch ;) .. I got the mixed grill which was beaut!! Well done guys, 1st time here & will be back!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch in Atlantic,tasty and reasonably priced.We have dined here regularly and always have had good service and food.Will definitely be back again soon.

Had a lovely dinner here. The staff were very good. The food excellent. My wife ask if she could change her meal as it was not as she liked. Not a problem will definitely be back

Very disappointed with their service and the managers attitude towards us.All we wanted was our meal and especially our grandchildren to get something to eat as they were hungry.the manager Sam Kennedy was not a person that should be a manager,too cocky and full of himself.Only thing he was wanting to do was cancel our our reservation for the Sat night the 30th August.2014.Will not be back.

Visited the Atlantic for an end of holiday celebration meal with my family last Thursday. There were 10 of us. I had ordered Bang Bang chicken with tossed salad. The dip was like dry putty and I had to prize it out of the ramekin. It wouldn't even stick to my chicken!! The salad was rough and course, with no dressing and some of the lettuce was rotted. My partner ordered the Atlantic burger. It came, just a bap with the burger which was small and overcooked, no salad and no dressing whatsoever. For £10 his was very poor!! My mother ordered duck in orange sauce. The dish came with no sauce at all. My mother asked for some sauce. The waitress brought a sauce boat with a fowl, sour smelling sauce! It was inedible and my mother felt ill the rest of the evening. The champ was cold. I can safely say I will not be back. We complained and got 10% off the food bill but it was a very miserable end to a great holiday!!

We called here 6.30 on busy Friday evening without booking after deciding 1hr.30 was a bit long to wait for another popular spot in the port. Wife recommended it after being up with friends a couple of weeks previous. Despite being very busy we were given a seat in 5 minutes, our drinks we had ordered at the bar were brought over along with menus. Food all looked good and prices were very fair. I ordered the chicken with pepper sauce, good sized portion for the price. The kids burger had a nice taste off it and the lasagnes wife and son had were both enjoyed. Didnt try deserts as were full enough from mains though did look tempting. All staff were friendly and chatty. Would definitely go back.

My parents and I enjoyed a fantastic meal here tonight and we can't wait to return. We were fortunate to be seated at a comfy booth with a view of the kitchen which really makes you appreciate the effort put into your dish. I had the delightful martini chicken which I would highly recommend, it was absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed a very yummy chocolate baileys cheesecake. We had the pleasure of being served by whom I assume was the manager, a friendly and witty man. We will definitely return to this restaurant. Fantastic!

Dined here on a busy Saturday night with a few friends and have to say the food was lovely and service was great. Also thank-you to Ciaran who made us feel very welcome.

Ate here on Saturday night as we couldn't get a table elsewhere and was pleasantly surprised after the not so good reviews I heard! They managed to get us a table even though they were fully booked and service was good and quick! Can't say a bad word about it! Great atmosphere in it also. Great weather and great food to too the day off. Will be back and got 10% off also as we were staying in the holiday home park!

We were visiting friends at their caravan and called in here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised.. The food was very good and the service was also very good We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area

I had a meal here last Tuesday with my elderly mum and the meal was nice but the problem was the TWO foreign bodies my mum bit into which were in her Chicken. We don't know if they were pieces of bone or not but mum complained that she thought her tooth had broken, I saved the foreign bodies on a napkin and reported it to the waiter, he however seemed totally underwhelmed by it all and promptly rolled up the napkin and removed the evidence (so to speak) saying " but the meal was otherwise ok ? " I replied yes but I would like what had happened to be reported to the kitchen as I wasn't happy about it, he then left saying he would report it but he failed to return with any feedback or a proper apology.Sorry, I forget to mention that mum originally ordered lamb shank and I had Lasagne however a full 20 mins after we placed our order the waitress came to inform us that they had no Lamb left. TWENTY MINUTES, is this an acceptable time to wait to be told something is off the menu ? They weren't even that busy as service was ending soon, after we finally got our food we never seen a waitress or waiter for a good 15 mins after that, nobody asked how the meal was or if we needed drinks, there seemed a real Lax attitude amongst the staff I am very sorry to say.Next morning mum woke up to part of her front tooth missing, she had to go to the dentist two days after getting home from her wee holiday for repairs.A sad ending to an otherwise enjoyably trip, we ate out every night in either Portrush or Portstewart and this was our only poor experience, shocking service, the food WAS good (apart from the extras in the chicken) but I still wouldn't eat here again, I am not a fussy person but I was/am angry that it happened to my mum on our last night and that it wasn't dealt with in a professional manner.

As a large group staying at the hotel I couldn't recommend the restaurant enough, excellent service and quality of food was great. Something to suit everyone with a price to match!! Will definitely be back!! Highly recommended

Food was excellent, good variety on the menu staff willing to accommodate change in menu requirements. All in all excellent service from start to finish!

I haven't been here since last year and after reading the mixed reviews I was slightly apprehensive as I recommended it to some family members.We booked for 6pm and there wasn't that many people in the restaurant.The menu is full of variety and everyone found something they liked! The prices are very reasonable also.There were a few different girls that served us and they were all very friendly and polite!Everyone enjoyed their meals and all the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted lovely!Will definitely be going back for a second visit!

Stayed next to the site on which the Atlantic is situated - admittedly not high season so the restaurant wasn't very busy on either of the nights we visited.However, we could easily walk here and have a drink with our meal which meant neither of us had to drive into Portrush. On the first evening we had starters of scallops with black pudding - very pleasant, but a bit of a misnomer as we had one scallop each! That said the rest of the food that evening and later in the week was fine. Staff are friendly and the prices were reasonable but not sure what it would be like at the height of the season especially on evenings when the night club is open.

Went to the 1course carvery on a Sunday food was awful we did complain but just had a member of staff shrug their shoulders at us .

Just left finished eating and boy am I glad it's over!!! The manager is the laziest and most uninterested of all the staff. Plates left uncleared. Had to go to the bar each time for our own drinks. Manager seemed to be disappointed that we were there. Not one member if staff seemed to be bothered at all. The food is pretty good but all in all there are better places to eat in Portrush. My advice is give it a miss.

We have a holiday home on this site however do not use the restaurant/bar very often but visit restaurant on Sunday 4th May. There was 7 adults and 1 child and the staff were excellent and food was good for the price. I really do not know what the complaints are about, as I say there was 7 adults in our party and all enjoyed the food only thing we did not like was the Rose wine but that was down to personal taste, will be back on 17th May for my birthday.

I came for lunch, food had no taste even though I had chilli chicken, ordered lattes and they arrived freezing cold and our dessert took that long when we asked to cancel the order it hadn't even been made. Really wanted this to be great as I in portrush most weekends but sorry I would rather go else where.

Heard advertisement on radio for the carvery and went along. It was unfortunately the worst attempt at one id ever been to. Will not be back

When this restaurant first opened as Atlantis it was really good if a little pricey. It seems to have gone downhill ever since. Two of our party ordered peppered steaks which came out looking like they'd been tenderised out of recognition. It was really poor meat. It actually looked more like burger meat when cut open. This is not good enough. I did have a burger which was really dry and tasteless. The pepper sauce that came with the steaks and burger were really thick and congealed. You had to scrape it out of the serving dish as it was to thick to pour. I live locally but will definitely not be going back.

A truely terrible experience at The Atlantic restaurant over the weekend. As has been mentioned by various reviews, the service was very slow and the food absolutely awful. I have never been to a restuarant were so many dishes had to be sent back to the kitchen because they were cold or inedible. This place won't last long given the standard of the competition around the north coast & should be avoided at all costs. On the upside, the manager knocked some money off the bill though hardly enough to compensate for the quality of food and the service.

since Atlantis opened my husband and i would have went on a regular basis, and the food and service was always excellent, hadnt been for a few months and went on sunday night, what a disaster,there was only one other couple in the place, and believe it or not service was dreadful,we both ordered steak and guinness pie and the meat was tough, we both ordered dessert, my husband got his, i had to go and look for mine, sammy you would need to take a long hard look at the place if you want it to survive, even the menu was second rate,

My husband & I have a caravan up at Portrush and started going to Atlantis for food in the summer. We ended up going most Saturdays! The food & atmosphere are lovely. Very relaxing surroundings and great choice from the menu. All the staff are fantastic and we have particularly got to know Kieran who is always very welcoming and friendly and has a spare few minutes to chat no matter how busy the restaurant is. I'd highly recommend you visit this restaurant if you are up the North Coast but if it is a Friday or Saturday night it is best to book so as not to be disappointed.

Busy due to Halloween party in the club next door . So this might be a bit unkind Lamb is my favorite dish . If you want lamb shank get it from tesco finest and cook it yourself coz this lamb shank was tough and dry. onion rings tasted of old chip shop fat but the fries were Chrispy with a soft fluffy centre probably baked . My wife's fish pie was a bit like erm let's say beer mat fish flavoured although all the food came out hot . Staff were pleasant probably overloaded with work due to large parties of young people eating and getting ready for the night next door . Restaurant decor very nice. Well I would say that it was actually put in by my brother in law and his team . Very comfortable bench like seats . The cost , cheaper than London but you would expect to pay less in NI . I got the bill and I did leave 10% tip for the staff . Then went into the nightclub venue for the Halloween party like I do every year access all areas if you eat in the restaurant . By this time there are so many people there they are turned away . So would I go back to this restaurant . Yes same time next year . There's a method in my madness .

We we're staying near by and decided to try this place instead the other two main restaurants in town. We were presently surprised first at how empty the place was but secondly how great the food was!We ordered the BBQ chargrilled chicken and the Atlantic Burger. Both came reasonably quick and tasted great!!Staff (John) was helpful and very attentive.Only thing that annoyed us both and has nothing to do with the food (I hope) and hopefully just our experience were the flys! They kept on and we kept swatting, I even killed one! But at least 3more came to annoy us! We had thought about desert but this had totally put us off!As I said, hopefully this is nothing to worry about but man it was very annoying!!!!

We ate here on Saturday night with the launch of there new menu. For starter we ordered nacho to share. This was awful and sickly. The cheese was a liquid substance poured over the nachos. Didn't taste like cheese and they couldn't be ate. The main courses were both chicken based, these were eatable but nothing special. The menu wasn't to my taste. Poor starter selections and the mains just didn't appeal. I won't be in a rush back!!

had dinner for two nights and would go back again and again/also had the sunday carvery/ good quality on all occasions/staff helpful and friendly/very nice decor and plenty of room if you have any kids /even the kids menue was good.

Second time at the (formally Alantis) Alantic Hotel restaurant and we were not disappointed, great food, very attentive, friendly staff, especially John and the Manager (Sam).We both had main courses (peppered beef and chargrilled chicken) beautiful, and desserts (banoffe and coconut jam cake) they were fantastic.Breakfast next morning was very good too, great friendly service which was amazing as they were very busy and just one waiter serving and doing everything, well done.Highly recommend, we will return soon.

We had been in the past and not really impressed, not with the food but the Manager, however went there recently when we couldn't get in anywhere else and what an improvement - couldn't believe how he had changed and he actually came across as if he was having fun! and it paid off, all said we would be be back asap,

Absolutely excellent restaurant with fantastic staff and delicious food!! I would definitely recommend to anyone!! The staff are super friendly and do absolutely anything they can to feel welcome and to ensure you have a pleasent experience!! I will definitely be back!!

We visited this restaurant as a large group. On arrival our table wasn't quite ready but we only waited about five minutes. The service was exceptional with friendly waiters and waitresses. All starter, main and dessert courses were fantastic. Make sure and ask for the specials. Only downside is for me the menu is a little limited. There were only 2 mains I could eat so its not a place I will visit on a regular basis and only for this reason. If you fancy a steak this is the place to go! I will definately go back and it's great that you can book a table in advance.

We book ahead of time as there was 9of us, we arrived and stated we had booked for 9 the guy looked at us blankly and said he would b back. He came back after few mins it clicked who we where and we where brought to our table and a great table it was. Right at the top at the window with a big ledge plenty of room for our 3year old to play with his cars. The ordering of the food went well once everyone ordered we asked can we order drinks as well, and the person who took our food order said he would send someone else down for the drinks, bit odd but we went with it. Bout 10mins went past and no drinks order happened we waved to get one of the lads addention, and he looked like we were hassling him. The drink then arrived along with our starters not ideal, but this seamed to b the only hickup food was great, very tasty I had pepered chicken and it just melted in your mouth, couple in our group had steak, and said it was amazing. The decor s beautiful very modern but still cosy not cold. Dec recommend for the food maybe improvements on service and customer care.

My husband & I only managed one evening meal here, but when we did dine everything was great, the staff are very friendly & attentive, the food was gorgeous & reasonably priced. They also serve a wonderful breakfast, if only we lived closer to enjoy some wonderful Irish hospitality & great food.

Food was excellent, service was brilliant- especially considering it was one young guy on his own (well done, sir) at lunch time. However, we went to finish our drinks outside in the beer garden. Again, lovely surroundings but the reception manager and chef came out for a smoke. The chef was in FULL whites, including hat and apron. Absolutely appalling.

Table booked for a specific time for a group of 6 however we were 45 mins late for table, did not worry us cause we were enjoying the nice suroundings. The Manager arranged a bottle of wine for the woman which was fantastic, got us a cracker table. The wait was worth it, great food, fantastic service from the manager and the floor staff where brillant. I am disappointed to see negative reviews on this place, this is my 4th visit and i will be back many more times. Its a credit to Kerian and his team as again i read negative comments about the service - dont read negative reviews go and enjoy a good meal....

As a caravan owner in Golflinks we regularly went to Atlantic ( formerly Atlantis ) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This year we have been back on two occasions and were really disappointed. The menu has been changed and is bland to say the least. There are no daily specials to tempt you either. Being back the old favourites such as spare ribs, FRESH fish dishes and doughnuts please ! The service has deteriorated too, the staff just don't seem interested after 9.If u want a drink after this you need to go to the bar yourself ! Come on Atlantic it's time to pull your socks up!!

Have eaten there twice recently - food is good, staff are very pleasant and willing and help but the Restaurant Manager isn't all pleasant or friendly - infact he gave the impression he couldn't be bothered!

Visited the Atlantic Resturant last night, the atmosphere was terrible, in fact it was non existent, at 9pm on a Friday night the place was empty. The food was less than average with the creamed potatoes looking like a bowl of semi solid glue, and the cod reminiscent of a lump of rubber, which made my wife physically sick when we returned home. The staff were undertrained, having ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio we decided to have another....to numb the disappointment of the food, so she brought us a completely different bottle, a Sauvignon Blanc. Disappointing, overpriced and we certainly won't be back.

We visited this restaurant Saturday night with friends and all I can say is never again!!! ..The staff have no training at all..the food was terrible the wine was cheap...and the hen parties running through the restaurant was disgusting one girl actually lifted a bottle of wine from a dinners table and drank from it twice ...we won't ever be back!!

Went for Sunday Carvery and think it is over-priced. The carvery wasn't bad, but it wasn't brilliant, there was nothing to make me want to go back. Portion sizes aren't brilliant and overall it just wasn't that good

Expected so much more from kellys great complex...lovely looking place food lacks a bit of va va voom... had porkportion sizes lack a bit but wasnt bad by no means ate in alot worse...will be back again...

Was here when it was the old Kelly's restaurant and it was excellent, we decided to eat there yesterday never again. Sirlion steak my husband ordered looked like it had been boiled then placed on the grill was tough but edible, my burger with bacon was swimming in grease, side salad ordered with colslaw the coleslaw was of. A waitress asked was everything ok I politly told her the colslaw was of, she took it away however when she came back with a fresh one I refused to take it because I had finished my meal of which I only ate the burger bap, I pointed out to her the grease that the burger/bacon was swimming in but told her I would pay my meal and take the meat home to my dogs. On paying a young manager who was very nice listened and accepted my complaint and apoligised reduced my bill to £20 that equates to the price of the sirlion meal. During my time I noticed they where turning people away stating they are fully booked but there was empty tables, unusual for bank holiday weekend in Portrush. Maybe chef problems? good point the new renovations and refurbishment is excellent tastefully done. Sorry but I won't be back.

have been to Atlantis quite a few times in the past, decided to go tonight for our tea, what a disappointment, apart from one member of staff the remainder of them are new and very inexperienced. husband ordered the cod, was not fresh and looked awful, plates were cold ordered skinny fries they were not properly cooked. I have never seen a place which has gone down so much in recent months, asked for a pint glass of icecubes with our bottle of wine, didnt turn up had to go to the bar and get them myself, also asked for a scoop of icecream never saw it

Went here with my family last week. The place was nearly empty but it still took 30 mins to get food. When it did finally arrive the kids chicken burger which cost £5 had barely a sliver of chicken in it. When I pointed this out to our waiter he said thats the size it was. He said half a fillet but it must've been a baby chick they took the fillet off. They didn't offer to try n make a bigger 1 and didnt seem to care if we were happy from that point onwards. Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Got a great deal to stay here, the bar/restaurant is gorgeous. The renovation was well needed for this place. Rooms very basic but more than adequate. Very clean and fresh. We love the Ramore and it was so nice to leave the car and enjoy a few cocktails.

i don't normally write positive reviews for places other than B&B's, but I thought this restaurant deserved it. We stayed at the Linksview B&B next door and the owners recommended it. Over three days, we ate there multiple times, but I admit mainly because it was very convenient for us. However, we did not have a bad meal. All meals arrived hot, the portions were the right size, it was all very tasty, the service was good, nice atmosphere and the prices were very reasonable. I would not hesitate to return. If you are golfing at Royal Portrush, the restaurant is right across the road.

i am from donegal but live in the region of portstewart , kellys restaurant is great . the prices are fab and the service is so pleasant and helpful... the normal menu caters for all and the sunday lunch is a must for just 11.95 !!!! great !! cant wait to eat there again !!!

Staying in Portballintrae over Easter called in for a meal on Saturday , no problem with getting a table and the food and service was excellent , very nice inside , comfortable surroundings , all in all a very pleasant meak out with the kids

I was with a birthday party of 20 people. The food was an excellent standard with great service. The whole night was fantastic from start to finish. I would highly recommend! Well worth a visit.

Great place to eat and stay. Rooms are basic but have everything you need free wifi hairdryer shower tea coffee biscuits etc

Recent visit to the atlantic hotel. We had lunch and dinner in the hotel. For lunch we had soup and sandwiches which was lovely. The dinner was amazing. We have never tasted turkey and ham like it, absolutely beautiful. We intend to return.

The atmosphere is fantastic, and a really modern interior design, however this sort of design does not lend itself to being comfortable, and whilst the chairs looked amazing, they were not the sort of ones you wanted to lean back on and have coffee after Sunday lunch. The carvery for Sunday lunch was ok, if over-salted for my personal tastes. The only real problem was the price - it worked out at over £100 for 6 of us!

very disapointed with the soup which was so full of pepper, so I left the soup and thought the main course would be better. Thought the turkey and ham would be the traditional dinner, may be my fault but did not expect to have cheese overload on potato gratin with roast turkey,ham and stuffing - no mash or roasties, not sure what the gravy was as it looked the colour of pepper sauce with cranberries through it. So after being unable to consume my starterI attempted the main course I had dry turkey, ham and stuffing with brussel sprouts and carrots (unable to eat the potato as I don't like cheese and the smell of it wafting up nearly left me sick). I could not fault the dessert although quite expensive at £26 for three courses. May appeal to some but I will definately not be back.

First off I've been going to the Kelly's Complex for over 20 years so I've never taken its former eatery incarnations seriously. Despite the food & drink being either very good or not great, I will now. It is competition for the other decent restaurants in the area. My prawn & crab cocktail was delicious and I loved the crab claw, lots of crab meat on it.Seriously impressive!My steak was medium rare as I asked for and very good. The only things I didn't like were the asparagus & mushrooms under my steak. I really didn't like the type of pale flabby mushrooms used (large flat mushrooms are much nicer) & they didn't work well with the sliced asparagus. The sauté potatoes were a bit underdone for my taste as well.But the sauce was excellent.Onto dessert: I ordered the wrong choice as my trifle wasn't good, too stodgy and had little or no liqueur in it; whereas the salted caramel & chocolate torte was delicious. I should have ordered this.The cupcakes and coffee were both excellent!The cocktails were good, part from the mojito which tasted as if it had no lime in it at all and was very bitter. All I could taste was Mint, soda water & rum...in that order.To sum up its a mixed bag, when its good its great but some menu items need attention & can they please teach the bar staff how to make a mojito!

Went here for a family occasion, fifteen of us.Staff were brilliant, set us up together in a raised area, put up balloons which we had supplied, brought out cake when appropriate. Service was fast, efficient, friendly and attentive.Food was good, though menu was slightly limited, but we had a thoroughly good time.Something I do not understand - Atlantis was a good name, why change it, especially to Atlantic, which is used by a number of establishments in the area. And the website is hotelportrush.com ? Difficult to fathom the reasons for the change.

the whole dining experience at Atlantis was exceptional. Our server was welcoming, helpful and efficient. Our starters were delicious, more like a main course but that's never a bad thingOur main courses were supeb, the most tender steak I've eaten and my partner said the sea bass was fantasticFor dessert we shared a perfect panacotta as we were both stuffed but didn't want our dining experience to endMy compliments to the chef, he truly is a masterof his trade.

The outside of this establishment looks impressive but the menu is average and the style is false. And the drink was very dear. One to avoid in my book.

I had the crispy chicken with pitta wrap and I can honestly say I have never eaten anything with as much salt in my life - and I like salt! It was atrociously bad. I would have made this plain on the night but no one ever asked whether we were enjoying the meal. A definite no no for anyone trying to avoid a stroke!

The decor of the restaurant and bar appeared promising, but the management and service of this restaurant was a shambles. There didn't seem to be any system or organization to the large restaurant...and the large Ell-shaped bar had one, only one, barman on an extremely busy Friday night. As a result, he couldn't even see when new customers walked up to one part of the bar. We were told the wait would be 40 minutes for a table; it was well over an hour. Once seated, it took at least 20 minutes to be served drinks...one waiter took our order and disappeared. Someone else served our drinks and apologized profusely...We asked for a glass of water and that took another 20 minutes. We would have left, but we had just arrived in town and wasn't at all familiar with the area--and this restaurant was near our b and b. We finally did get our meal--after waiting close to 50 minutes--and the food (surprisingly) was good. So at least something's going right in the kitchen. But as far as the "front of the house" and the service...it was an utter shambles, totally unorganized and scattershot. We'd never return there again.

came here over the golf wkend great food, but felt like a lost sheep at the start as no one recieved us the girl at the hotel just told us to head to the bar, then we had to repeat to bar man that we had a table booked. finally got showen to a seat.
