Costa in Coleraine

Coffee in the sunshine is never a bad thing. Sausage bap and an Americano is my start to the day.

Clean, quick and friendly service.

Didn't like the fact that I couldn't use my Costa Club Card here. Spent a lot on drinks but never got any beans because my Card was Costa UK and not Costa Ireland. Is Nothern Ireland not UK ?

Staff very friendly and helpful. Good social distancing procedures in place. Great coffee.

Costa in Coleraine requires a deep clean urgently. Damp on the ceiling at the front window has the paint peeling off. The dust on pillars and hanging lights etc is so noticeable its disgusting, Some sests are dirty they're not worth sitting on. Don't managers assess the place for cleanliness and know to look up and keep a premises that serves food dust free and hygienic ??? The standard of management in 2024 is obviously very poor Lets see a swift address to these issues Costa You want our business, make it a clean place to sit

Short of staff just before 11am , but I think they were starting at 11AM

Had a nice enjoyable coffee.. and the staff are so friendly.

COSTA is a place that I know I can always get a good COFFEE… always get the best toasted sandwich or a sweet treat. Their COFFEE is the best. The staff was friendly and helpful , and their restaurants are scrupulously clean.

a nice bright interior, lots of natural light from windows and roof atrium, usual cakes and pastry offering, could do more on gluten free options, mostly just a few of their prepacked choices. but coffee was nice

Nice and clean. Food was good and the coffee was nice. I am not a fan of the hot chocolate for over £4 is should at least taste of nice chocolate

Horrible experience me I stood in the queue for 5 minutes ignore and when the next person comes in he gets served right away just bc he’s a regular will never be back, I refused to order anything due to horrendous experience

Lovely coffee and toasties. Unsure of his name but one worker always brings my food and drink to my table as I have my daughter in her pram. Very kind and very much appreciated!

It is very difficult to enter the Costa coffee building , for wheelchair users because the doors are self closing with strong springs there should be atleast one automatic door to access Costa coffee.

Coffee was first class and the food was also first class nice pleasant staff

Overpriced and not great coffee but it’s a popular place.

I met up with my friend and young granddaughter. It was a treat for her granddaughter and I ordered hot chocolate with trimmings. Both were to have cream and a flake and the girl marshmallows. Firstly I noticed the takeaway cups had no cream (dishwasher not working so takeaway cups) Then when I asked where was the flakes and mallows as I had seen the girl at the till put them into a takeaway cup. She told me they WHERE IN THE CUP WITH THE HOT CHOCOLATE. THE CHOCOLATE HAD BEEN POURED INTO THE CUPS WITH THE FLAKES AND MALLOWS AT THE BOTTOM!!!! The server thought this was normal - I had to walk away in disgust. What happened to floating the mallows on the top of the chocolate and dipping the flake if you want to. I wanted to get the order redone but my friend didn't want to spoil the occasion for her granddaughter. But their drinks were a big disappointment. Definitely weird version!!!!

Terrible ordered at Coleraine branch 11.45 am 24/02/2024 to dine in a flat white and hazelnut cortado not brand standard whatsoever flat white was a wet cappuccino no pattern just half frothed milk cortado was expressed for 16 seconds again no pattern not silky milk more like reheated left overs she had on the side I understand its busy but please do not put someone on coffee until they are trained in brand standard the poor lady in front of me got a very disappointing small hot chocolate 3/4 full not topped up no dusting of a bean on top really frustrating for someone who managed a Costa coffee to see this

Just awful flat white was a wet cappuccino no silky smooth milk no pattern cortado extracted for 16 seconds again no brand standard pattern just rushed will never go back to this Costa not what you expect Costa is supposed to be the same wherever you go, not here

Costa is always a nice place to go for a bit of relaxation after a days shopping, plenty of varirlety of not only tray bakes and sandwiches and paninis, the coffee is great and the staff are very helpful and friendly, the seating is airy and very spacious this Costa is always busy as it's in the Riverside Retail Park and certain times of the day are busier than others in the summertime you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air

Pretty ordinary. Coffee is ok, no table service and a lovely view of a carpark.

Very much against my will to come to these sponsors of barbaric surgery on female children but we were left here by our garage as they were sorting a problem on our car and as they were renovating, there was no waiting room at the garage. Coffee is good, had to sit outside in rain as they refused admission for our elderly dogs. Waited 30mins for their delivery of croissants.

As a costa is was fine. Nice to have a decaf option but the froth onto.

Mixed up our order with another customer, ended up swapping it ourselves.

Cappuccino is good and the tray bakes.

I was very disappointed. I was looking forward to getting my birthday cake all year, although when I arrived I was told that the offer was only in the uk. I don’t under stand why I couldn’t reseive my gift as N.I. is in the United Kingdom. Very disappointed.

I left my wallet and mobile in disabled toilet..I was in a hurry..when I got back to costa somebody handed it in..a big thank-you. For the person who handed it in...costa staff where very helpful..there is good people still..I am very thankful..thank-you..Costa..

I was most disappointed as I had voucher from a member of my family in England. When I went to pay for my food I was was told I couldn't use it as they were costa Ireland and that the voucher was costa UK. Surely N.Ireland is part of the UK. UNBELIEVABLE. I didn't think I will be using Costa in N.Ireland again.

We in fact didn’t feel welcomed as soon as we stepped into Costa making us feel very uncomfortable. Customer service should be outstanding from start to finish but at no point was it even acceptable. Customer service is part of an experience, which we didn’t receive.

Could be better kept. Cleanliness not up to scratch.

The coffee was its usual self - my favourite chain coffee - and the staff were helpful. Particularly to tell me that my Costa UK card didn't work in Northern Ireland. Last time I checked Northern Ireland is in the UK 🇬🇧🙄

They said the toilet was for staff only!!!!

Toastie was toasted on one side and other side soggy. Totally yuk! No seasoning on a cheese toasties? Hello..... Never again!

Good but busy, so there can be a queue for coffee and often tables needing cleared away as they have dirty dishes left on them.

Food and drinks were fine except my friend ordered oat milk and cream and got normal milk and no cream

I attended today and asked for a latte and cortado. Latte was weak and anaemic, cortado was served incorrectly, no foam, no care , an overfilled cup that spilt everywhere. It was as weak as dishwater and completely wrong. Baristas need to have further training as what they are serving is a huge injustice to Costa and given the location, this site is a goldmine with the correct management and standards followed.

Had coffee here today with toasted tea cakes. My aunts asked the girl if she could bring the tea cakes down to the table and she replied just wait there. One of the tea cups was dirty inside so when i returned it there was no apology just a grunt. Staff need to communicate better and check crockery be3fore handing it out

This is my favourite coffee shop, & the good thing is... it's just a 5 minute walk to it :-D food is class, coffee is spot on. Friendly and helpful staff if the need arises.

Staff not interested, no ambience.

Asked for pot of hot water but was told they could not give me a pot of hot water and instead gave me a tiny jug like the one milk is supplied in. I was scared to burn myself carrying it and itnis not a safe option. Where is health and safety there? The bin in the ladies toilet was overflowing with what looked like used sanitary products. That was my first visit to Costa Coffee and it will be my last.

Ordered hot chocolate and latte to take away around 3:30. My wife observed the bespectacled young man preparing the drinks in glasses and not the usual take away mugs. My wife informed him that we had ordered drinks to go. He slapped down the already prepared glass mug full of hot chocolate aggressively onto the counter top, grabbed two take away mugs and slapped them down on the counter in anger. He finished the drinks prep and handed over the drinks in a very surly, unfriendly manner. My wife informed him that the mistake was not of our making. He replied "ok" in a very abrupt manner, making it clear to us that he blamed us entirely for the error and the ensuing extra work. This kind of customer service has no place in any retail environment. I hope that his manager gives him a severe dressing down, some words of advice on customer service, and possibly some retraining.

On our last 2 visits staff can not be bothered to serve you the girl on till said she was very tired at 10 o clock in the morning the place is dirty and the outside area is disgusting makes us wonder what behind the scenes like they obviously don’t have a good management or even they don’t care we won’t be back

First time I've been in a Coffee Shop and they've run out of tea. Sainsburys 50m away. More initiative needed.

Staff are worth their weight in Gold. Well deservingly of a huge pay rise. Enough said.

Great coffee, tasty snacks and cakes, in a bright, clean environment. Can't fault them really. Just wish they stayed open beyond 6pm!

Place was dirty, Food was mediocre and staff didn't seem to know who should be doing what.

Split till counter not great when busy. Lack of floor staff and clearing options limited.

Coffee and chicken wrap..very tasty. Couldn't believe how busy it was. Great parking.

Appalling customer service and staff incapable of frothing milk.... Ignored for 5 mins before order was taken. Ordered a cappuccino and was presented with a milky coffee... No foam at all. When I asked for a second attempt I was presented with the same thing. Obviously staff are not trained in frothing milk or what constitutes a cappuccino. Same thing with the gingerbread latte which we were also informed would be without cream because they don't have any!?!?!?.Won't be back. Avoid.

Love Costa normally, but today I wanted a tea and they had run out of tea. How can a coffee shop run out of tea. They staff aren't the most pleasant either.

I had a bacon bap.. the wrapper had been cooked with the bap; when I returned it there was no apology. The floor is generally not very clean. Someone was helping a new girl..but just ignored my presence for some time until the man doing the coffee noticed I wasn't being noticed..disappointed considering your prices!

Standard Costa Coffee with above average prices, but lovely interior and staff to make up for it. Coffee was also nice. We ordered a Mint Chocolate Chip Frappe but they only had the small size cups, but it was enjoyable and we ordered a large Latte which was also nice, which overall mostly made up for the slightly high price.

I had a cappuccino for the first time in ages and was really surprised!! It was a good one!!

Staff in here are rude. A member if staff with an attitude problem asked an elderly man to take a take away cup because they wanted to cut down on dishes and he refused. She then proceded to run down the customers choice to a colleague which everyone could clearly hear. My coffee was slammed down on the tray and no one told me it was mine. 4 customers came and went and I stood on not knowing that was my coffee sitting until I approached and asked. Terrible customer service. Will never be back again

Ordered two coffees, one a latte. The sprinkling chocolate jar was sitting on the counter beside my tray. I lifted it to give myself a sprinkle of chocolate. The male barista rude told me "Next time ask for that." I had to ask twice what he had said as I was shocked at his rudeness. I suspect the chocolate jar was for staff use only- If so why didn't he offer it and why was the jar left just at the tray area. Regardless no excuse for rudeness! I Won't be back.

Stood in a queue for ten minutes to be told they aren't doing iced frappe as there is no ice, a sign would of been great and saved me wasting my time.

Fantastic location, bright, spacious surroundings with very friendly staff. Highly recommended. The menu is very good too.

This is not a place l would go back to. The service is terrible, after our coffee was set down to us and we waited for our food,it was given to another customer even though it wasn't what he asked for. Their system is chaotic. We sat outside and the tables were sticky and the area was dirty with food, dead tree leaves in corners plus cigarette butts. It was not a windy day so obviously not cleaned . So much for tourism Northern Ireland. Sort yourselves out

Iced drinks were really warm and had no ice in them? confusion over which was dairy and non dairy option when being given out, totally unimpressed, waste of 8 quid

Not impressed. Waiting time far to long. Small flat white coffee has been served in big cup. Tasteless and bland.

Vegan ham and cheese toastie needs more ham for the price of it being 4 pounds. Left feelings hungry and dissatisfied.

They make some of the best oat milk latte coffees.

Loads of seating, outside and inside, covered area outside if its raining, busy on saturdays well worth a visit

The food was a little bland no flavour 😕 or presentation toasties etc needs a little something beside it like crisps or salad leaves just look more attractive to the eye

Clean well presented with lots of tables both inside and out. Service with a smile with a limited number of newspapers available. Only drawback, as I see it is the number of toasties that are high in salt and saturates. Therefore need to review products before purchase to suit your dietary requirements.

Disappointing… staff were less than friendly, with the Covid screens acting as a barrier to understanding and comprehension.

Not impressed at all.. called in for a coffee gave my order and noticed no cream.. which I had paid for.. was cheekily told would be an extra 45p.. the height of rudeness.. will not be back..

Nice and airy great spot to meet up with friends and family.

Called in yesterday (16th March 2022) to be embarrassed at the tills...apparently paper £20 notes are not legal tender at this Costa coffee ..I told them that they are legal until 30th September 2022 but they refused to take it...I was left looking through my bag to gather up enough money to pay for my coffee...it might be an idea to have signs up stating that they don't take paper £20 notes to save others embarrassment!!!

Very spacious coffee shop. Used a gift voucher and enjoyed both coffee and a toasties. We were suitably refreshed to visit the other shops in Riverside Retail park

Busy little place and long waits.

Will not be back. Staff need education in manners and how to speak to their customers. Couldn't wait to leave.

Asked for a latte and got what tasted like strong black burnt coffee. One of the worst coffees ive had so far. Gutted as i love costa.

Very good coffee but staff dour and unresponsive. Can’t smile , speak or generally be polite . No rapport with customers. Need lessons in how to deal with the public

We ordered HOT chocolate and sadly only got warm therefore not 5 stars. In future will ask for EXTRA HOT.

Nice spacious cafe. It was a slightly noisy but that probably reflects the day and time (Fri 2.30-4 approx) and obviously it's popularity. Even with it being busy it was also very clean which shows the dedication and management of staff to keep on top of those busier times. I had a caramel latte and it was one of the nicest I've had in a long time. I would definitely go back but maybe at a slightly quieter time. I would have gave 5 stars but I didn't try any food, so next I will and will rate accordingly.
