Can be hard to get a table but food never let's u down

We went here to celebrate New Year's Eve and had a fantastic evening. The music was brilliant and the atmosphere great. We really enjoyed ourselves

Visited as part of a large party. We were well looked after by Jason who walked us to the gin bar down the street afterwards. He was very attentive and made the whole visit very enjoyable. Food was great too!

We are on a sunday evening. No one there, music shit. Food was good but very small portions and no table service. Expensive. Don’t recommend.

This restaurant is so far gone from what it used to be - good local restaurants, with good local people, and reasonable prices. The fact they think it’s ok to profiteer from their best dish (which it’s mediocre at best now) by charging £19.95 for a mass-produced pasta dish, which couldn’t cost more than 50p per bowl to make, is just wild. Significantly smaller portions along with the price increase. When charging those sort of prices you would expect 5 star food and service, but you can’t even achieve a 5 star hygiene rating so what gives you the right to rip off the public? Then to my absolute disbelief, watched a fella in 2024, one-pour a pint of Guinness near broke my heart, but because I was in the Christmas spirit I said nothing…to then find out the glass wasn’t cleaned properly, and the pint tasted like dish cleaner.

Don't bother with too good go bags food the deserts were all the same and sicking with chocolate and something. No name tell you what eating or anything

Just avoid. So many places that are nicer. Went here to celebrate, real downer after this. Food was terrible. How do you mess up chips?…

Amazing hot chocolates, would recommend to everyone.

It was OK but being more expensive then the shack on seafront who offer table service was abit surprised that this place you had to go to bar to order food and drinks just think if you don't offer this then you need to be cheaper then your competitors

Went here for a meal with my family here tonight. The food was beautiful.I went for the Beef special.it was perfect. staff was all lovely. The premises were very clean. Definitely would come back again.

Arrived at our booked time.. the place was packed, nosy! Was shown to our seats like a canteen.. then was told to order at the bar when we were ready.. sat read the menu and decided it wasn’t for us.. we left..

Great dinner and special mention to Cathy and Olivia for their exceptional customer service! Will definitely be back.

The taste of the food is okay. The dish Chicken Goujons with sauce is rather bland as a main course without a side dish that otherwise has to be ordered separately. The burger also consists more of a burger bun.

Absolutely beautiful place with fantastic views when eating lunch, dinner etc. Does a brill £5 lunch and the menu is excellent. But the dessert OMG leave room U will not regret it.

Not the same as what it used to be..the way they offer discounts makes it seem tacky.. the thing that really put us off was the smell of BO coming from the staff absolutely disgusting every time they walked by our table. Haven’t been back since 🤢

We stopped off for lunch on Saturday when at the beach for the end of the good weather. Food was nice. Service was fast. A bit pricey though for what you get. Always very busy.

This place has gone downhill. The food was just about ok, however some of the staff were very very rude and totally incompetent. The desserts were vile and coffees were terrible. I’ll never be back

I listened to various opinions and made the decision to come personally to see and taste the food. Verdict: keep it like this, don't change anything if you want it to go well, I greet you and I appreciate all the effort you make for your business. Success.

It was OK. .it was extremely busy and the tables were too close together. .I ordered Fish and Chips and at £20. I was expecting an enjoyable meal. I was disappointed however as the fish lacked taste. The only plus point being that the chips were crispy.

Nice spot , nice atmosphere. Prices are very high , I understand prices have went up but to charge £35 for a steak in a bit of pastry (Yorkshire puddings) and call it a beef wellington without a side is sneaky. Food tasted good just not value for money. Two pints was around £13.50.

Have been going to The Ramore restaurants for a good 18+ years. Over the years it has always been amazing. The steaks generally are unreal and desserts are even better. The last time we were there unfortunately the sirloin steak in the wine bar was extremely tough and difficult to chew. This was disappointing. The other frustrating thing is the extremely loud table announcements.. Surely there is a way to fix this speaker system so it doesn't bellow across the whole restaurant in the wine bar? It actually made my baby cry This has been happening for years. Please invest in a better system

This place looks great online and lots of positive reviews but I guess reviews of places like this can be very subjective. I thought the place was run down and dumpy. It was super loud in there, you have to go to the bar to order your food but they don't tell you that when you arrive so you're just sitting at your table while other people are getting food, not much for healthy options or dietary needs like celiac disease. Very Americanized. From the menu options to the music playing loudly. Also tons of people there with thier loud bratty kids. Not really my type of place. I came to experience Ireland....not a cheap version of America. Other people probably think it is great, especially people from Ireland.

Great place , speedy service, great tasting food. Great for a quick bite with kids

First time in the place, had booked in advance and waited for 45 minutes to be seated (with two elderly family members) when seated they sat 8 adults at a 6 seater cubicle and I had to ask to be moved. Once sat, we weren't informed it was bar service, eventually worked it out and stood in queues at the bar to be turned away to yet another queue multiple times, wish they'd just put signs up for which queues to order what at. The microphone calling tables makes the place feel like a bowling alley. Don't be expecting a nice dining experience, can only describe the feeling as like being in a cattle market... However, couldn't fault the food other than the salt and chilli chips, not what you'd get if you ordered elsewhere. We asked the server what they were and she actually shrugged... Wouldn't come back if I'm honest.

Brought my family here and the atmosphere was relaxed and had a decent view. Host sat us down and never told us that we had to order our food at the bar. We sat 15/20 min waiting. Asked for a server and then we were informed we needed to order at the bar. We ordered our four items a long with water and sat down. My husband and I got out food right away. After another 15 min we went back to the bar and asked where the rest of our food was. It had never been started ... Then a few more min later someone came to confirm our food again.. We asked , sorry have you still not started our food? At this point we were over it cancelled the order and asked for a refund.... We did receive a refund. I was so embarrassed that I had brought my visiting family here.

Went to Neptune & Prawn for drinks and sharing plates. Drinks were good, service ok but food was terrible!

It was chaotic to say the least waiting at an over crowded bar for our table but when we got our food I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great. Would love a qr code system to order at the table maybe. I don't know how the staff managed the busy evening rush but the food didn't suffer. Really enjoyed our meal. When it calmed down it was a much more enjoyable atmosphere.

We had a large family reunion - we booked Ramore because we had heard it was great. What a HUGE disappointment 😞 My partner's gf burger was tasteless and dull. I ordered the chilli goujons that came with a Caesar salad... I assumed it would be on the side. What chef would put chilli goujons on top of sloppy, wet salad? The chilli goujons were dull and slightly undercooked. The flavours do not work together The food is thrown at you! Completely overpriced!

Visited twice during our holiday in Ireland. Very nice!

Booked table for 19 45 we were shown to a table out the back the chairs were like primary school furniture being 6' 3"

Do not order the lasagne. It was burnt, and as far as I could see, it didn't contain any pasta! My friend ordered the goujon burger with peppered sauce, and it was nice. I received a refund from the lovely waitress.

Nice atmosphere and good choice of food, however it's nothing special and sadly not what it used to be Ok for lunch or dinner, but others like Coast are the same standard now

Ramiore, Ramore - what’s happened to you!? It's been about a year since I last visited Ramore, and the service was utterly dreadful! The food was delicious but greatly overshadowed by the staff who seemed more interested in checking their phones than attending to guests. Additionally, there was a 10 to 15 minute gap between dishes arriving, even though they were ordered at the same time and on the same bill. Advice to management: - Ask staff to prioritise guests over their text messages. - Ensure there are clear tables so guests feel welcome to stay for dessert. - Serve all dishes ordered at the same time and on the same bill promptly.

Pointed to this place by barman at Harbour Inn, and a great shout tbf... burger for a fiver and lasagne was good quality for the price too. Well worth a visit. 👌

Seated in the conservatory area beside the window, and at this time of the year, with the sun beaming in, the need for Aircon is a must! It was like sitting in an oven. Not ideal to be eating a hot meal. The meal was average and for the price they're charging now, I'd go elsewhere. The Menu is pretty much the same as previous year's, and In urgent need of an update. We ordered two soups as a starter, and ordered our main courses at the same time. Only for the soup to be brought out with mains. Apparently soup is a main course now 🤷it's very unlikely we'll be back!!!

Decent food. Great atmosphere as usual. Prices are sometimes misleading as it says certain deals on days and you go in and its normal price. Apart from that we enjoy our daily food from here!

Watch out, bit of a scam... went into the restaurant the Basalt Top floor... looked nice and was told pasta dishes were half price and cocktails were half price... Happy Days...the meat pasta dish was 28 pounds was only worth 14 at best.. cocktails 🍸 12.95.. don't think there was any Alcoholic in them.. Tried to charge us full price for Drinks... Twice had to call them back saying bill was wrong.. if u go in be careful.. 🧐

My son was where on Friday with his friends. Twice he approached the staff only to be ignored. He had order fries with his burger. In the end, he left without his full order and no refund. I expect my son to get the same treatment as others. Very disappointing.

Arrived here at around five, staff let us in a bit earlier than opening time. We were in before another couple with kids who had no reservation , according to the lady, and my son who is celebrating his 10th birthday today wanted a specific table which was still available. But one of the hostesses (a rather unfriendly one, a bit on the chunky side she was) would not give us that table it seemed just out of spite!! What a hateful way of treating a child on his birthday, won’t be back!

Bank Holiday Monday and it was manic but staff were professionall and pleasant I had the haddock and it was excellent all though I am not a fan of mushy peas I prefer peas intact. I found it a very overcrowded. If table had not been booked it would have been a long wait. Staff were finding it difficult to get food delivered to tables.

Ridiculous money! Lovely place and people but £4.50 for a bowl of chips and £14.95 for 6 wee goujons (without chips) that were clearly bought in bulk! Not worth it!

Wasn't allowed in as they were closed allegedly, plenty of people already in and allowed the 4 ladies after us in, this is the 3rd time in a couple of years we have tried and failed to get food here, really shocking service and pointing to a hand scribbled note on the table top saying closed and walking away is hardly good manners, 0/10

Came for dessert one day. Queue was out the door, already an indicator of good things to come. Got some of the finest desserts I think I’ve ever had.

Lovely meal got 3 specials of duck which was delicious no side were not told we had to order sides as no information on menu. Eventually had to purchase sides when our half of duck was near eat

Food usually good but they cram everyone in on top of each other. Queued for 50 mins to get in then spent 30 mins at the bar where only 2 staff who looked new were struggling to take orders so ended up giving up and leaving as there were still around 20 people all along the bar trying to order. Chaotic... Edit. Have changed rating as the wine bar seems to be like it's old self again. Busy but not chaotic and great food and service

Went to the horsebox for a hot chocolate. It was very pretty and the servers were nice but unfortunately a few of us found the hot chocolate far too bitter and couldn't finish it which for £4.50 a drink is disappointing.

Great place for a quick bite or for a more substantial meal. Plenty of choice on the menu at competitive prices. The only downside is that the tables are grouped so close together that even the waiters struggle to get the food to your table.

Excellent food as always and the Seafood Thermidor is to die for, love it.

Party of 7 on Friday 5 jan 24, i had chicken bang bang was cold, this needs to be chargrilled and be crispy, 2 lumps of over moist super white chicken skewers, horrible, sauce poor, soo much mustard over powering, I don't get that nonsense of having to go to the bar, your missing out, we probably would have had another round but the bar was a bit busy so didn't bother, rest of the party were not overly delighted with their offerings either, never again

Dined at ramore wine bar, and to say my experience was shocking at the least I would give 0 stars if I could! Had a table booked for 7pm quickly got shown to our table (which was basically a dome outside) it was absolutely freezing, no waiter explained that we had to order food at the bar and bare in mind was absolutely chaotic, bar staff couldn’t hear what we wanted to order and charged us for a steak wellington that we politely had to send back and they returned with the steak they scraped off the wellington and threw on another plate which was clearly over cooked and dry! Asked for a new steak came back 20 minutes later when side orders were then freezing asked for steak to be medium and came out rare/blue? Ordered peppered chicken which came out bland with no flavour literally just ground pepper on it definitely won’t be back ever and the prices for the food quality is absolutely appalling, cheese fondue was stunning tho.

It was ok, chilly garlic prawn for starter was great, my main was rump steak which was overcooked a bit, ordered medium rear it was pink a bit 😫it was really busy with Christmas party dinners but not an excuse for not the best service, missed quite a few things from order on our table, waited for my cocktail for 40 minutes, finish the dinner when I got it

Had the Royal fish pie here, absolutely delicious, I won't need to eat for at least two days, though! The trio of desserts were fantastic, full of flavours, we will be back, thank you to all the staff

This has been our go-to place for the past 16 years from eating as a couple in the Harbour bar to frequently eating with our children in the Wine bar. It has changed unfortunately. Our last visit before today was at the end of August. The Wine bar has lost its atmosphere. There were fewer people eating. Tables are now set and staff have changed again. Staff were pleasant and very helpful and efficient. The quieter, less frantic conditions made it more relaxed and conversations were heard more easily.

Excellent food (as always) Worth a visit every time we go back home. Wonderful meal. A tad expensive, but the standard of food is 5star. See you again soon.

We had booked into one of the other Ramore restaurants for a special 80th birthday meal on a Monday night… understandably the bookings were shifted to the bistro which was buzzing… the staff were phenomenal and did so much to make our evening as special as it was, topped off by a table in the snug in front of a roaring fire! Thank you to the lovely Manager and team for your superb hospitality and beautiful food!

Loved the buzz in this busy restaurant. Easy parking. Really friendly and helpful staff. Quick delivery of food and drink. We had Haddock, chips and mushy peas, was excellent. Not too expensive. Would go back no problem.

Enjoyed lunch in the wine bar today. The manager Thomas leads by example. Excellent customer care by all staff. Definitely 5 stars.

Everything was fine except for literally stomach churning squeezy cheese on Nacho starter. Great points were that we hadn't booked but still got taken in and seated quickly. We had to order at the bar and pay in advance. This was actually ok and the guy at the bar got the order 100% right first time. The main courses were nice. However my daughter only wanted Nachos which were £7 or £8 and supposed to come with dips. The Nachos did indeed come with very nice dips and a lovely spicy, zingy garnish. However the entire plate was covered in a disgusting squeezy cheese sauce and mayonnaise. Why? How can a restaurant ruin nachos? I struggle to believe anyone could like the amount of cheesy sauce and mayonnaise applied. Having said that we would go back. If ordering the nachos I recommend asking for them without squeezy cheese and mayo. Or maybe have them in separate bowls like the tastier dips.

It's quite a strange restaurant, part wine bar, part beach bar, part burger joint. The food was great though, tasty and wholesome and the service was fast and friendly. Recommended.

Went today for lunch for a birthday celebration pre booked a table in the window which we received. The place was packed out really busy sadly it was that loud you could not have a conversation as couldn't hear to talk. There was a party of 5 with 2 children on a table one of the men on the table was coughing, coughing and coughing constantly he couldn't drink, eat or speak it was that bad he should not of been allowed to enter the restaurant. The staff and everyone around could clearly see this man in his thirties had some sort of covid or something serious this was way past a chest infection, copd or asthma but not a soul asked him to leave or was he ok or anything he was just allowed and left coughing coughing constantly. This should of been addressed immediately by members of staff with the sweat pumping down his face, paleness on his face he had something seriously wrong. The staff are all young kids with no customer experience they have no expectations and never once asked if everything is ok? They are like something out of the living dead walking with glum faces dressed in black appropriately. God help the full restaurant we might all come down with illness or god forbid covid after today. Food was edible nothing special not worth the price had far nicer elsewhere. Overall expectations were more than crippled by staff allowing illnesses in that way into the restaurant and the strain of illness so clearly really bad. The food is better anywhere we couldn't wait to leave and left really disappointed we won't be returning. A really awful experience just hope all the dinners live after today.

We had rump steak onions and potato wedges and it was superb. Best steak we've had for ages. Burger also delicious.

A group of us went for lunch. We had quite a long wait to get served. There was 15 of us. It was worth the wait. Food excellent. Price reasonable. Views specular of the harbour area. Venue busy but fairly quick turnaround.

Well done Coast. There were 10 of us. Taken to our seats by a friendly guy even though we were 15 min late. Orders taken, food and drinks delivered very quickly. Very tasty. Would recommend and will be back

The service was good and friendly but the food was so so at best. That's would be great if it wasn't as expensive as it was considering food. I wouldn't be back in any sort of rush.

Lovely,even with all the social distancing measures.Salmon was cooked just right and the half onion was a surprise.

Family meal out in relaxing surroundings. Food was excellent.

This was my first time here. And I'm not sure if it was because I was here over lunch but I wasn't overly impressed. My wife and daughter got their food 10-15 minutes before mine came out. The food was ok, it was tasty but also rather boring certainly not worth the money we paid.

Absolutely appalled by the service. We had a table booked for 7:30pm and ended up waiting outside the toilets for 25 minutes before being seated just to be told we had to wait at the bar to order food and drinks. For the price of their meals I expected table service. Thoroughly disappointed - ended up leaving shortly after being seated as we weren’t waiting another 20 minutes to order and at least that again for the food to come out.

Went for lunch on a Saturday, it was busy but didn't have long to wait. Food was really good and definitely worth the hype.

Booked table online , excellent table service,no problems changing table once arrived,food arrived so quick and each dish / meal 10/10 , ice cream sundaes delicious, I would book again in coast bottom restaurant of ramore restaurants

Best place in Portrush for food

Poor service. We were a party of nine that was shown to our seats, given menus and abandoned. We werent told we had to got to bar to place food/drink order. Had been previously and it was QR codes during covid, why not keep these in place. Food arrived and no cutlery. Only after onserving others walk to the cutlery/condiment station did we realise we had to get our own. Three orders of chicken were dry and overcooked (one was drowned in cracked black pepper, which had to be scrappped off). Atmosphere non existant as party member had to get up to go to bar to order drinks. Also stated live music which there was none off.

They have transformed this venue into a high capacity, quick turnaround joint. Its obvious the owners have made every effort to maximise footfall, packing customers in. Food was just OK, with unsubtle pressure to eat up and move on so they can seat the next customers already queueing up both inside and out. Don't see what all the hype was about, a disappointment 😞.
