Bob & Berts in Coleraine

1st time, I've been in a Bob & Bert, your rainbow cake is out of this world.

Need to take down that they are dog friendly! THEY ARE NOT!!!!. We sat down for 5 minutes to see what we were going to eat when the staff came over to us to say no dogs allowed inside.

Ordered 2 potatoes, one with cheese and beans, one with beans.. The server put in 1 potato and 1 panini, I stood for 25 minutes waiting for the correct order, as the server who incorrectly took the order, finished her shift,and it took a while to realise her error. Perhaps if she wasn't in a hurry to finish her shift she could have listened properly to my order

Been many times & always had a great experience, food was well presented & delicious, staff were polite & helpful.

A little bit of cleaning would help and the staff are more interested on their phones than working won't be back

You know one of those days you have a craving for something really tasty, well on this particular day I really wanted a cheeseburger which is very unusual for me because I'm not really into burgers. Anyway we were in Portrush and went into Bob & Bert's, ordered a Ranch burger & fries ( onion rings ,cheese ,bacon and spicy sauce) £10.50 . Well it was the size of a child's happy meal burger, it was 2 wafer thin patties of second rate meat slimy green stuff,plastic cheese and the smallest piece of bacon on the planet with 2 half cooked onion rings on top. The fries were nice but that was it. Now I know why I don't do burgers and certainly not in Bob & Berts. Guys your charging £10-50 get a grip , I know it's expensive to run a cafe but there must have been £1-50 worth of produce on my plate and not even good produce. Needless to say I'll be giveing this place a miss in future.

Not much good to say about this coffee shop. Called today at 11.30am for a caffeine hit and a bun. The coffee machine was broken so the choice was filter coffee or tea which I bought and went to sit down. Feeling a bit like Goldilocks it took 3 goes to pick a cleanish table. The cable type tables are obviously a nightmare to get clean as there was a build up of crumbs in the "cracks" that could dodge a dishcloth. Suffice to say it wasn't a good experience so can't recommend.

Very warm staff, she also helped me Make a great choice of cake. The seating is lovely, very comfy big chairs. We had lattes and a peanut butter brittle cake- which was delicious. Overall lovely experience.

Tea was only tepid...literally... and that was straight out of the pot. Not everyone wants a scone warm. Cutlery tray was just about empty except for 3 knives. Too busy a place for staff to stand and chat in behind....but polite staff.

Standard fair from B&B. A nice place to sit.

Excellent service and the food came really quickly. The food was amazing and Jo was really polite and friendly when I was ordering my food, I will definitely be coming back here!!! Thank you :)

Went for a coffee with the family. Had some scones and the likes. Which was OK. But then I seen the chef with her finger jammed up her nose and that put me off ever going back in there. Was plain to see as you can see right in the kitchen.

The breakfast was truly amazing & not only that but the food took only about 5 minutes before we got it! There is a good choice of food & everything i tried has been top notch.

Great wee place to have a nice bite to eat. Had the fry from here and it was delicious! The staff are super friendly and the food was out in no time. The desserts looked amazing as well.

More than a proper coffee shop, good choice of food throughout the day. For breakfast try the potato stack, very filling.

This is a nice place to go out and eat, it has lots of varieties of different delicious snacks and it’s good food as well. Sometimes the service was not that good for example you might stand at the ice cream bar for 5 minutes to someone comes to serve you. In general this was a nice place to eat and I recommend you coming to it.

We had some outstanding cakes from here and the girl who served them was an absolute star so next day we decided to go for breakfast which was again lovely, staff weren't quite so nice as the first girl! I have a son with autism who wanted 4 sausages alone and I was absolutely shocked to pay £8 for them!!!!!! Never felt so ripped off in my life!!

Bob and Berts get 5 stars for their Lemon Meringue pie, it's the best I've tasted in a long time...

I know prices have gone up a lot recently, but £8.50 for two pancakes (about 10cm diameter), some streaky bacon and a tiny pot of maple syrup is way beyond the pale IMHO! The 330ml can of soft drink I had was also expensive at £2.95. The atmosphere and surroundings are pleasant enough but I'm sure there are similar establishments offering better value for money in the town, so I doubt I'll go back.

Family oriented eatery, American style but definitely Northern Ireland menu. Prices are on the expensive side though we went 3 times in as many days! Poor phone data reception in the area and their Free WiFi network is ONLY for FaceBook users - MAJOR downer!

Trendy venue which is well decorated. Food and drink were both good quality but a bit expensive, especially the drinks which were particularly extortionate in my opinion. I'd go back for the food

Just visited here, ordered hamburger kids meal, curry chip, tea and hot chocolate and brownie, the bill came to almost £30! The food was cold and the kids hamburger was like rubber. The place was filthy the staff didn't make an effort to clean the floor was a mess...the only clean place was the toilet. Such a disappointing place to eat, definitely won't be back

Paid almost £8 for a cheese and ham toastie that was only toasted on one side the other side was soggy the cheese was missing and the ham looked more like a slice of bacon....I'm not usually a complainer but I thought they had a bloody cheek taking £8 off me for something I wouldn't feed to a dog..

Literally the fastest se vice I've ever had.. drinks were ready before we Sat down.. chips came after about 2 mins.. literally faster than McDonald's

GREAT place, variety of food was AMAZING (sweet and savoury). We went in for lunch and it was honestly delicious!!! We had panini's, baked spud and chips (4 of us) and with drinks it came in just shy of £40. A tad pricey but DEF worth it as a treat. They were very busy and could have done with more staff as tables weren't being cleaned, but otherwise we LOVED it and will DEF be back!

Visited cafe and got flavoured latte and lemon muffin. Bill came to £7.50 (muffin was £3.50!!!!). The gingerbread syrup to flavour the latte was 75p Mentions on receipt - thank you, please call again (probably not in my case).

This would have been great, but the place was packed and people were made to stand and wait for tables... loads of children crying and screaming 😱 I know this isn't the restaurant's fault but I guess pick your time to go. Service was quick and firendly. Food when it came was really nice - had ham and cheese toasties and pulled pork loaded fries. Coffee was good too. If it's not packed, it's a great place to eat

Belter little cafe in portrush. Staff very friendly do some lovely food on the menu, settled for a hot chocolate and Carmel short bread which where both lovely. Highly recommended if your over in Northern Ireland. 😆

At the till, the girl serving seemed very unhappy and was frustrated with the lady in front of me when she asked for a mug for her tea rather than a cup. I ordered loaded fries and was at the toilet when they arrived. I had been given the wrong ones so I brought the bowl up to a member of staff near the kitchen hatch who was dismissive and said they’d sort it. I sat back down and noticed there was a food preparation label in my food. I went up again to let them know. The lady took the bowl off me and asked what I’d ordered and said she’d sort it. She didn’t apologise and acted like I was inconveniencing her. Eventually the correct food did arrive and the waitress did apologise and refund me the money which I was very grateful for. She made some comment about not knowing what was going on up there (I guess with staff behind the counter?) and that it was a crazy day. When I did get the food it was quite nice but I also ordered a peach cooler drink which was not nice.

This restaurant didn’t hit the mark for us. Had to ask for paper napkins as the dispensers were empty. Had nearly finished the meal before we got them. The menus kept moving quickly and we didn’t have time to read them thoroughly. It was OK but much prefer the Portstewart branch. Food was tasty.

Worst meal we have ever had. We both had loaded fries which were disgusting- smothered in thick curry sauce which repeated on us for hours afterwards. Apart from the horrible food, the staff were sour faced and unwelcoming. We had to ask for a table to be cleared as there wasn't a clean table to sit down at. The member of staff cleared the previous diner's plates but didn't wipe down the table for us. Overall, a terrible experience for overpriced poor quality food. 😢

Normally I‘m not the kind of person who writes a bad review. But I really regret to have spent my money there. I ordered the pulled chicken salad and the chicken was really really dry, almost too hard to eat. The portion was also very small. The normal fries were really dry too, my sister got the sweet potato fries, they were definitely better. Of course I can’t generalize it, but I wouldn’t recommend the food I ate.

Convinient location and nice interior design compatible with seaside.Food is ok for the price. This place will benefit from deep clean and staff training! It is simple dirty and the staff is mainly young who seems to dont care.They smile to each other while you order and you never know if they laugh about you. Waitress and counter staff had dirty, messy outfit.

Sat outside with our dog for a morning coffee. Ended up having cake treats too - such a tempting selection! Went back after coffee to get takeaway sandwiches for lunch - came with a little side salad too. Highly recommend!

Service and food has sadly dropped. I ordered mashed Avocado with poached eggs and cappuccino. Avocado arrived cubed not mashed. Hollandaise sauce cold and cappuccino was poor.

This was by far, the worst place in Portrush. The service was absolutely disgraceful. The young girl behind the counter was so rude and made it clear she did not want to be there. They took forever to get our coffee and pastries to go, simply because, they forgot. The coffee was poorly made and the pastries tasted a week old. Absolutely awful, will not be back.

Was here a few weeks back for my friend’s birthday brunch. Came with my friend and one year old son. Have to say the food was outstanding and the staff was extremely friendly especially the guy clearing the tables think his name was David he was amazing super attentive. Will definitely be back.

Als ich das Bob & Berts in Portrush betrat, Wusste ich sofort, dass ich an einem besonderen Ort stand. Die Atmosphäre war einladend und gemütlich, Und der Duft von köstlichem Essen war herrlich. Ich bestellte das Pulled Pork, Und ich muss sagen, es war ein echter Triumph. Das Fleisch war zart und saftig, mit einer pikanten Soße, Die perfekt zu dem weichen Brötchen passte - eine wahre Köstlichkeit in meiner Dose. Die Auswahl an Getränken war auch sehr beeindruckend, Von Kaffee bis zu erfrischenden Shakes, es gab alles was das Herz begehrend. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend, Und ich fühlte mich sehr gut aufgehoben. Ich kann das Bob & Berts in Portrush nur empfehlen, Es ist der perfekte Ort für ein herzhaftes Essen mit Freunden. Das Pulled Pork ist definitiv ein Muss, Ich werde wiederkommen, das ist ein Versprechen ohne Muss.

Sorry to give this a 2* but unfortunately the ham in my sandwich was off, that's a red flag how many people had eaten the ham from the same pack???. Was your H.A.C.C.P looked at on the day?? I did get a refund & the staff were very polite.

Expensive for what you get, food quality is below average portions are small. Staff seem miserable in their jobs, for the prices you pay you should really get table service, look around you will find nicer in the town. 2 Mighty Breakfasts Coffee and Tea £22.

I'm always enjoying my meals at Bob&Berts in Coleraine or Portstewart but I would not recommend people to at the one in Portrush. The food was cold, the cutlery dirty, and the staff was not friendly.

B&B's is a contemporary, bright and welcoming café that is part of a local chain. The food is a modern take on local and standard cafe menu that is both delicious and satisfying. Portion sizes are very generous and the staff will accommodate any specific needs. Coffee is excellent, however, as its served in large cups that have a wide rim, you'll need to drink quickly before it gets cold!

Great selection, we were delighted to find vegan sausage rolls which were really tasty. We arrived near the end of the day but staff were still so friendly and welcoming!

Called in for a drink, ordered a large cappucino to take away. 10 mins waiting later nothing arrived i waited to see how long it would take them to notice, the place was not busy. Eventually the Barista asked what i was waiting on, so it appeared they lost the order, the lady serving then came over and made up some story about how the Barrista lost the order slip, essentially making it out it was someone elses fault. Anyway £3.75 drink was at best 4/10, garage coffee would be higher quality and half the price. I'm glad i didnt stay for food. One to avoid.

Nice hot cappachino with a tray bake

Popped in for a mid-afternoon coffee with cake - both of which were very mediocre considering the price. The staff seemed to consist of grumpy teenagers standing idly about with their phones and not paying too much attention to their waiting customers. And certainly far too busy to clear up and clean tables. Topped off by the loud music (yes, I'm an old guy) rattling around the faux industrial chic interior so a quiet conversation was out of the question. At least the toilets worked - just! There's competition just across the road, so they should really up their game.

Very friendly staff, but we have been a few times now and they have a bad habit of burning the pancakes. We will try somewhere else next time.

We popped in here for a snack just before closing time (6pm on Tuesdays) and the gracious and friendly Ciara served us coffee and sausage rolls with a smile and a “don’t rush”. She was not trying to get us out so she could go home - much appreciated Ciara. Oh yes, the coffee was pretty good too and so were the sausage rolls.

Overpriced food, moved tables a few times as they were not clean and sticky, 1 of the girls seemed impatient and interupting when I was explaining my order and still my order ended up wrong

Food was nice and great cake range. Although everything was overpriced. Some staff were friendly but a couple of the girls were rude and looked like they couldn't be bothered.

Visited Bob and Berts restaurant in Portrush on Aug 16. Food was ok but the toilet was absolutely disgusting. It was filthy with toilet paper all over the floor and in the sink. The floor hadn't been moped in ages. Even the toilet was filthy....

Good food spacious and comfortable seating toilets could be cleaner but thats more a public respect problem that bob and berts fault

The front door is accessible with a wheelchair but inside is a different story. The tables and chairs are jammed in tight leaving no room to get a wheelchair to a table to eat. Come on Bob and Berts you can do better than this...

No changes can be made to any order without incurring extra charges. Ordered porridge and asked if the maple syrup/Sultanas could be REPLACED with fruit - this would incur an additional charge?! Porridge came inside a teacup - almost impossible to stir without it going...
