I've never visited this place, and this part of Birmingham was before, and I was very impressed with this place and the surrounding areas of the city. The restaurant was very good we were very welcome by the staff

Food was ok, 2 of us had gyros which is good value for money. Other 2 had moussaka which for the money was a very small portion of actual moussaka, then a random selection of items, couple of olives, chips, salad, rice and a small piece of boiled potato. Not worth the cost. Service was ok but I finished my drink quickly and couldn't get anyone's attention for another. Didn't order any pudding as we were leaving to go to the theatre but the waiter insisted and bought us mini samples with shots of ouzo. Nice thought but we were already waiting for the bill and just needed to pay and leave. The bills are hand written so no way to check the correct items had been added, just had to assume it was correct. Would still eat here again but maybe when if we had more time.

It was OK, have had better Greek cuisine. But the staff are lovely.

We were with family and ordered pizza for take-away. They were really nice with the kids, a very friendly atmosphere.

It's more like a cattle market table's are small went with a group of 30 people small saucer size plates and different food brought like a dish of meat balls to share amongst for people with 1 meat ball each and it was the same with all dishes brought no room on the table's because nothing is cleared away an absolute shocker of a place to go

Booked at short notice for a Friday evening 4.45pm . There was only a few people in there and very quiet but within 30mins the place filled up and the atmosphere got busy. We ordered wine, Greek Salad and our main meals , Mousska and a Beef Stifado. The food was absolutely amazing, taking us right back to the greek holidays. We would definitely recommend this place as a fantastic place to eat.

Do not order anything from this place! 2 hours we waited for food. When it arrived it was cold. Don't waste your time or money on this place. You will be bitterly disappointed and ripped off

It was late Saturday evening when i returned from my friends 50th Birthday party when i visited this shop and tey were closing down for the night but they went out of there way to get me what i wanted to eat. Definitely the very best kebab I've ever eaten before and I've eaten them alk around England and Ireland and thus was the very best. If i ever go back to Birmingham I'll be bringing friends with me.. ❤️

Had the big chicken wrap with fries. The fries were quite unique, a heavy hand of oregano and very crisp. The bread for the wrap was quite unique tasting and soft.

We miss Greece, and here we have found a bit from the Greek taste that we look for, worth visiting, very good value for the money, good size dishes, good service, fast service!

Went here for a hen night - food was ok but just shoved on the table in front of you - no explanation of what each thing was. Bar service was awful - ordered a pitcher of s*x on the beach and was given some murky green concoction?? took we refused to take it - but was told ‘keep it - I’ll make you another’ - the replacement was fine. This then happened a second time after we had waited about 10 mins for it , when we question was it correct he said sorry I didnt have the correct ingredients??? Why not come and tell us that!! Each cocktail took at least 10 mins to make as he kept disappearing? The dj was one of their staff with a laptop who kinda gave up and wondered off leaving guests to put in their own choices. Also get down the stairs quick if you want to join in plate smashing as only a few plates were available. But to top it off we were then brought a bill - not itemised just an amount on a piece of paper - for the incorrect amount- tried to charge us for 17 people instead of 16. I just kept saying 16 and he kept saying no 17. Only when he counted the chairs that we round the table did he agree it was for 16. Returned with another incorrect bill - tried to charge £42 for service charge - once again it went back to be amended . 3 rd attempt was correct - if I wanted to pay service charge I will don’t automatically add it - and as the bar and table service were both rubbish it’s my decision. So overall I think large parties especially hen etc are just rushed through but everyone else seemed to enjoy it especially hen whom we kept all this away from x

A polite stuff and an elegant restaurant know where their food come from. I have never had such impolite experience when I ask about the origin of the beef ""halal or not"" and encouter tempered service because of this Q. Actually I noticed unwelcome way from that person when I came and waited to be seated ,,Based on his gaze I thought he is not a member of the restaurant stuff, then I shocked how is he welcoming other people? Does he have anger with muslim people? Or Arab people? Or what kind of behaviour he had?? To teach you what elegant restaurant behave,, they ask the chef or even get the ingrediant catalogue to show me the ingrediant. It has been long time I did not visit this place since I had a talk with the chef enjoying his story when he was working in the saudia royal family.

I pre ordered my food as requested by the restaurant as I am vegan. I received everything that I requested for my starter but not receive my main course. The manager said that I had , had enough food. He was rude and did not listen to my complaint

Staff is absolutely unprofessional. They get you in for interviews and calls and cancel or never call you. Place is unorganised

Absolute fantastic,there's 2 floors you can sit on ground floor or upstairs,it's very large Restaurant.Greek meze was beautiful,the Greek salad with the freshly made tzatiki was superb.I recommend it if you want Greek food,it's like being in Greece.

staff friendly food poor taste and quality.. greasy and oil off putting .. food thrown on plate blande .. restaurant was like a walk in student chippy.. off putting wasnt like pics no belly dancer no smashing plates.. loud shout crowds of drunken youths ruined friends birthday felt overdressed as was not a high class greek restaurant as pics suggest ..was a greek fast food drunken place to go chippy .. night spoilt

Ordered from Deliveroo at approx 2130. Estimated delivery at 2205-2220. At 2213 the restaurant cancelled the order. After contacting deliveroo I was informed they said we'd rang to cancel the order. This is untrue. I had not contacted them and they had made no attempt to contact us. Fortunately, Deliveroo refunded the order but very frustrating to wait 40 minutes to have an order cancelled and find the restaurant have lied to Deliveroo about it. Will not order from here again.

Friendly, with an unpretentious atmosphere the feels Greek. Although as someone doing slimming world, it was hard to find anything healthy on the menu, but it was all delicious.

Our first time dining at Athens, we were very impressed with the food, keleftico was amazing, the lamb melted in your mouth. Helen was a wonderful host, and service was outstanding. Would definitely go again when we return to Eastbourne.

It might not look like much from the outside but on the inside the staff are all nice and they make a great Souvlaki!

I regret that I am writing negative review, last night was my birthday party and we went to this restaurant, this place is really dirty, special bathrooms, … menu was not clear and misleading, with this misleading menu, they charged me 25+11.5=36.6 Pounds excess money (for 4 people) at my birthday party!, quality of foods were low, but quantity was good, I would not recommend anyone to go this restaurant….

Although with part of the floor looking as though it is in the process of being renovated and the decor looking tired in places it did look promising. However I when for the mezze and the portions were generous, the staff attentive even though I was sitting away from the main tables (it was a little noisy). It had a great atmosphere and during the meal( on a Saturday) their was a performance by a belly dancer.. I guess the menu was more Cypriot / near East than Greek, but I thought it was great value and really good place to go with a group. The wine although limited to red white or rose was of decent quality supplied by Tsantalis. Would I go there again? Yes definately but I need to bring a bigger appetite .

My experience in this place was absolutely terrible. From the entrance we just wanted to leave that place. The atmosphere was bad, the lights inside really old style and the sound of the music to loud for a dinner out. We decided to stay as it was recommended by my boss.We couldn’t figure it out if we are in a night club or a restaurant. Starter was nice, really not bad at all. But our main course was horilble. Food was old, cooked days before not in that day and it was to obvious. Desert was very very bad. They didn’t have any baclava and offered us a cheese cake a profiterol. Ready to report this restaurant for selling that food.

This place need to be brought to the real life. The ambiance was not nice at all if you wish to have an enjoyable dinner. The starter was nice but the main course was so bad. Foood was to obviously not cooked in that day. At least cooked twice or a week ago. Also we couldn’t eat the desert that was not home made and was very old. We are food enthusiastic people. This experience was terrible

I visited with Natwest,we had a wonderful evening of great cooked greek food,kleftiko,succulent tender,perfect with greek beer mythos.Entertainment show was brilliant,excellent DJ with great tunes,we left early hours! Certainly a party we will not forget. If you are thinking to visit here, do not hesitate! You will have such a good night!

I visited for my friends 40th Birthday,what a wonderful evening! We arrived at 7pm and restaurant was full! We ordered off the meze menu which was excellent value,the greek flat breads and greek salads were delicious. Desserts were also delicious, i enjoyed the greek baklava,also had ice-cream .Entertainment was fantastic,belly dancing was wonderful ,everyone joined in,dj was great .Would definitely recommend if you are in a party as its differently a great evening.

Attended for a hen night 22nd April. Entertainment was great but food was dire. Complained but management not interested. Would certainly not rush back!

The food was whak, the owner smashed a plate and a chip flew In my eye and then he pulled a girls hair and then said I've been in this country 27 years I wouldn't do that when he got caught out, but gave a free coffee to say sorry which was whak also. I asked if food was halal and answer was that his friend working there is Turkish.

Friendly staff and the food was lovely but it was very quiet and it was unconfortably cold inside the restaurant. Staff created a brilliant atmosphere and overall had a fab night

Had my hen party here ,food was freshly cooked for us,mostly vegetarians but there so so much to have,recommend the vegetarian pasta and mousaka. Also the cocktails are fantastic

We were a group of 17 women on a hen night and decided to book a table at Athens let's just say it was the best night ever. The food the staff and the atmosphere was amazing. The staff was on there heels all night with great smiles and friendly all the way through. Defo recommend it for any night out. Barmaid (upstairs with black hair in snobs) was SO rude, she split a drink on me and didn't even care. Ruined my whole dress and I was wearing white so the stain didn't come out.

Excellent !!! A party of 50 guests enjoyed a excellent evening at Athens,we booked for our annual business meal and had a fabulous night.The meze was delicious , so much variety and service was excellent , even though such a big party the service was 5*. The entertainment is hosted fantastically , the dj was great and belly dancing shows was a great experience along with the greek dancing which was fantastic for our large group! I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a greek meal in Birmingham city centre!

Had a birthday group party recently,the food was delicious and couldn't have asked for a better service/Entertainment was fantastic belly dancers stunning along with greek dancing and plate smashing which was a memorable experience It was a fantastic time and full compliments to the chef who cooked our meal .it was such a good evening and would recommend all people wanting a good time! They charged more than the menu prices, the excuse was 'it's because of the time'. The chicken was cold and tasted like fish, the salad had a brown lining, and on top of that, when you say kebab you imagine the food to be in the pitta, not dumped on top effortlessly. I would rather eat of the floor outside snobs next to it than eat here again. Awful.

I have absolutely no trust in this restaurent. having booked a week in advance and confirmed the eveing before I get a phone call telling me the restuarent was now closed on that day becuase they chose to open Monday instead, I could choose another night if I wish. No good for me as this was booked for my Birthday and was to be on my Birthday. Do not trust this restaurent unless your happy for them to cancel at the last minute. They will never be having my busness again.

The food is cooked to perfection very large selection of starters - great for fussy eaters.service was quick and waiters were polite. The location is just great as it is next to snobs nightclub ,it's also like a minute walk to broad street so all in all central location.We parked at the back of the restaurant there is a large car park- about less than a minute walk to the restaurant.The entertainment was just brilliant we had belly dancing - great and live disco music Greek plate smashing ,and Greek dancing.We all had a brillant time the dancing was fun! It's great if you go in large groups I was in a group of 14 all friends from work and 2 family friends.Also there is a taxi rank outside the restaurant ,some of my group came in taxis and went home in taxis so the taxi rank outside the restaurant is full at about 1/2am so you don't have to book a taxi in advance.I will go again had a fantastic night.Thank You !!
