Fantastic gyros and skin on chips, highly recommended.

Food was average. The pita was too thick, there was little halloumi and a tiny bit of chicken - very disappointing. Chips tasty, but the corgette fritters were burnt.

Paid over £40 for dry cold food, the 2 meat kebab was £9+ and what looks half the portion size we would normally get in the shop .

I don’t ever do reviews but I quite simply have to now. The kebabs from Athena’s are the best I’ve ever had. I don’t go anywhere else for a kebab it’s that simple. They always deliver early and never late. And they have only got my kebab wrong once. I called them and they had a brand new kebab delivered to my door 15 minutes later. Absolute 10/10 in every department

I can’t fault the delivery or the customer service that they provided the food unfortunately was not nice. I order from here every couple of months when I’m craving Falafel. First issue was I ordered the Falafel salad box with Tzatziki. It came with feta & olives which have never been on this dish, are not mentioned anywhere on the dish. I’m allergic to cheese & don’t like olives. When I rang about it they were ok & sent out another one without the feta & olives. Can’t finish review no more room

Absolutely by far the best mix three meat kebab around always spot on only once had no chicken on my kebab when it arrived but easily done on a Friday night when I rang Athena to let them know they sent full kebab out with my chicken within 10 minutes problem solved always is our go to takeaway with perfect tasty meat and the cheesy chips are amazing thankyou

I stayed in Stockport over the weekend,I Got a chicken Kebab & chips,the food was outstanding,even writhing this my mouth is watering thinking about it,friendly staff aswell.

Served me rotten chicken. Ordered a chicken gyro box and received chicken that tasted fishy. A clear indicator it had passed its sell by date. Disgraceful! This restaurant ought to closed down immediately!

Sadly this place has gone down-hill. Ordered a chicken kebab on naan which was mostly salad and then at the bottom only had 3 pieces of chicken, they forgot the pitta for the falafel and halloumi, and a ‘large’ chips is actually quite a small portion. It’s a shame because the food has always been tasty here.

Was ok - i ordered the 3 meats and actually the portion was quite small. Flavoursome but next time Id just order one meat by itself. Cheesy chips were good

Food wasn’t to normal standard, pizza luke warm, such a shame as normally bang on, £2.50 for delivery and was nearly an hour late, delivery driver wasn’t very polite like they normally are maybe a busy or bad evening but not to the standard we are used to from them. And as for delivery if you’re going to charge £2.50 plus a 50p service charge at least get it to the customer on time. On a good note the homemade baclava was nice, please get your standards back to 5 star.

Absolute idiot delivery driver casually backed his car right into the front of mine while i was waiting for food outside. He proceeded to completey ignore me & just start laughing while i confronted him regarding the accident that was blatantly his fault. Using the english language he explained that he couldn't speak english, which has absolutely nothing to do with backing into a parked car... Disgraceful service & average food!

Ordered through Just Eat tonight because they had an offer on that if you spend over £20 you get a free garlic bread with cheese and if you spend over £25 you get 30% off as well. We spent over £25 and everything through Just Eat showed that we were entitled to both the free garlic bread and the discount (no where said otherwise). When the food came we didn’t have the garlic bread with cheese so we rang to find out what happened and we were informed it was a ‘one or the other’ situation. This is not the case as far as the information on Just Eat is concerned and I feel they just forgot it and couldn’t be bothered to rectify it which is a shame because we have now had to order additional food from elsewhere as what we ordered was not enough to feed 4! Nice food but won’t order from here again due to them putting on an offer that they couldn’t deliver.

ordered delivery from athena, waited over an hour for the food and when it arrived it wasn’t my order. Wouldn’t offer me a refund, instead they sent the order again, waited another 45 mins, when this order arrived half of the food was cold, halloumi wasn’t cooked properly. Probably wouldn’t advise this restaurant for delivery.

Ordered from here countless times without issue. We usually order kebabs however this time we ordered burgers. we paid extra for bacon. when the food arrived it was turkey bacon. this was a disappointment as it was not what was advertised, I would not of paid extra for turkey bacon as let's face it is no way near as good. the restaurant needs to change its listing on just eat.

After receiving a flier through the door I ordered off their website the mixed grill kebab and large fries and a garlic bread . Order had loads of 10% discounts so the kebab and chips were 19quid the flier stated the kebab was 19 quid on its own. So estimated delivery was 7pm 1 hr from ordering. Arrived by 6.20 on a sat night . The kebab naan is basically a wrap the thickness of a pitta bread the meats were tasty and nice the donner meat was small thin slices the hot sauce was the 1 with pips in crucials a quid a bottle. Chips were hot no salt on em skin on fries . All food was good quality . It is a bit pricy but it's good grub. Dogs were hovering so it must be good stuff

The meat used to be big and good, but today was so small. It's just the scraps left over after the kebab is cut and they're lying under the kebab.

Excellent Donor kebab! Stockport is a town full of mediocre or sub-par kebabs Athena's kebab stood out as excellent. Naan was very fresh and pliable. The bread did not tare and wasn't stale so I could eat the kebab, from first mouth full until last, only using my hands. Curious to know if they make it in-house or if I was just lucky to get exceptionally fresh Naan. Donor meet was good quality. The donor was not sliced too thin or too thick and wasn't too greasy. The potion was generous but not excessive. The chili sauce had a nice tanginess to it but I had to add a little of my own hot sauce because there wasn't enough. It would be nice to see an option to add extra sauce when ordering through Just Eat. Salad was very fresh and prepared well. It was proportioned perfectly relative to the meat and bread. It would be nice to see more salad options such as jalapeños, cabbage and Lombardi peppers. Overall the best takeaway kebab I've had in Stockport in recent memory. Hence I felt compelled to leave such a long and tedious. Good food is worth boring on about! 4.5 stars out of 5. Thank you Athena!

Don't pay attention to the low star reviews. They are fussy hard-to-please people who don't know a good gyros if it hit them in the face. Athena is the most convenient, most delicious place I get takeaway from regularly, and their delivery is super fast. And the quality is consistently good. 5/5

Moody service, ordered food for pick up, ask for a bag he huffs, ask to put a bit of sauce on the side he huffs, ask for a fork he huffs, didn’t bother asking for any tissue, he’d probably breakdown, shocking

This was the first time ordering from here and omg the food was amazing. Kebab was so tasty and my son said the pizza was the best he has ever had will be ordering from here from now on.

We ordered last night for the first time they said the food would be 25 minutes bearing in mind the shop is a 6 minute drive away this sounded okay, over one hour later the very rude driver left the food on the floor by the communal door rather than delivering to my address. one persons food was missing and the rest was luke warm as if it had been sat for 45 minutes. Quality was abysmal and the man on the phone claimed I never ordered the missing food although I clearly did. Cost £26 for 2 luke warm kebabs both on thin pre packed shop like pitta breads not naan, 1 cold cheesy chips which would’ve required a saw to eat as the cheese was that stiff, and a freezing cold rubber like garlic bread which looked as if it had been put together by a 5 year old. If your looking for hot fresh tasty food I’d avoid this place.

Totally feel ripped off. £15.90 for the smallest gyro I’ve ever seen. It was just salad and sauce and a few bits of chicken maybe three or four bits in a small pitta. The chips were would’ve been nice if they had been warm but they were cold and stale. The best thing about the order was the can of Coke. If you want a nice meal and want to feel full after ordering one from here, then you’ll be very disappointed. The portions are tiny and the expense is ridiculous for what you get. Never again. Go somewhere else for three times as much food for the same price.
