12 people reservation, but the waitress provided us a combined table for 10 people. Not nice and that's not what we called a good service.

Really tasty Korean food. I was recommended the pork loin kimchi hotpot, the fried chicken (without bone is better than with) with soy sauce or with chilli, and the bimbap by the waitress. the fried chicken was so so good. Will be returning to try the other popular fried chicken and the waitresses favourite hot pot which was pork loin kimchi. I don't recommend the Korean seafood pancake which I didn't like. nice atmosphere too. I definitely recommend this place.

Flat-out busy Saturday evening. Superlative staff and guidance about the menu. No fuss and no flatter, a wonderful experience cooking beef pulgogi at our own table. An experience you really must go through: restaurant-eating at its best. There are no ways this can be improved on.

The manager served us the night we dined. The food was good and tasty! Chicken wings and chicken gizzards were good.

Yummy Korean food, I got the beef bulgogi which I can 100000% recommend, it was absolutely delicious. The scallion pancakes are also yummy. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. Also their drinks selection is really impressive as they have a wide range of flavours. I got the lychee soda and it was to die for! The service is very quick, I gave the atmosphere 3* as it's quite packed and loud in there but I guess that's what makes it so reasonably priced.

I went to this restaurant for lunch and tried the noodles with beef — absolutely delicious! The beef was tender and flavorful, and the portion size was just right. Service was also excellent — friendly, quick, and attentive throughout. The only thing that could’ve been better was the ambience; it felt a bit plain and could use a little more character or warmth. But overall, great food and service — I’d definitely go back.

Line was very long and had to wait awhile but was very understandable as it was a very busy Saturday. Very good customer service from the jump. Once seated. Order was taken very quick and didn’t have to wait too long for the food. Amazing experience overall

Una amiga me llevó aquí por primera vez después de un largo día de maravillas por Londres, ya que dijo que tenía una gran experiencia la última vez que vinimos. Estaba emocionada de venir como si ella dijera que la comida aquí era buena, mis expectativas por la comida ya se han disparado. La comida era genial como ella dijo que sería y parecía un lugar al que todos querían ir, ya que cuando nos íbamos vimos una gran fila para los clientes esperando para sentarse. Toda la experiencia en sí se sintió apresurada debido al hecho de que el servidor que nos estaba sirviendo ese día se acercó a nosotros al menos tres o cuatro veces para tratar de hacernos pagar cuando todavía estábamos claramente comiendo. Entendemos que está ocupado, pero ni siquiera habíamos estado comiendo durante más de una hora y ya estábamos siendo acomodados para pagar y salir. No es el tipo de establecimiento al que volveré, eso es seguro.

The food is good. Yet to try the hot pot bit the various dishes I have tired have been very good.

1. The kimchi pancake doesn't have enough kimchi in it so it tastes bland. Giving soy sauce doesn't cover up the fact that the pancake is mostly batter. 2. The food is clearly made by someone who has no basics in cooking. Ingredients such as crab, which should be one of the main ingredients to give the soup flavour, came out frozen, whereas ingredients that should be cooked quickly came out defrosted, meaning that by the time the jeongol is fully cooked, all the seafood is tough but the flavour from the crab is barely present. 3. Not sure why you would put the mooli around the edges. It tastes longer than the other ingredients to cook and should be placed at the bottom or fully submerged in the soup. Preferrably, if you were to make a little effort, it should be boiled prior to serving as part of making the soup and served already soft. 4. There are things you expect from food that is called jjampong, which is (i) chili oil (ii) soup flavoured with the taste of spring onion, chili powder and soy sauce, and (iii) noodles. So when you serve a jjampong jeongol with none of these things, I'm not sure how it's any different from a haemul jeongol. 5. Check your burners. We've had ours changed twice. Overall, if you're going here for the hyped up budaejjigae, sure go ahead. You can't really go wrong with it but then again, the same goes if you were to make it at home. Don't expect quality food from this place, it's quite clear that they use ingredients quite sparingly.

I came in today and left my ring on the bathroom counter. I called in later and they said they’d keep it safe until I could come back and collect it. They did exactly that and I appreciate it a lot, even though they were so so busy.Thank you again. :) (I don’t know their names but so sweet)

Some of the worst Korean food I’ve ever had. The fried chicken was room temperature and soggy when served to us. It must have been sitting for ages, or pre-made and slightly heated up. The pork dumpling was whatever, the jap chae had good flavour, but was complete mush. The spicy bulgogi was drowning in oil and mostly cabbage. We never got our kimchi and si gum chi namul, but they still put it on our bill. My stomach feels like there’s a giant rock in it.

Tasty Korean food. Outstanding staff (although few staffs ,the staffs were very attentive ,friendly and quick although they were very busy. Even the staff were busy,they managed to keep their calmness and enthusiasm. Bravo to them In other restaurants of London,staff/waiters are very lazy and often neglect the customers. The foods were great,but not like amazing. May be my tastebuds are hard to impress. Anyway,good Korean restaurant and I would recommend.

Popular Korean restaurant near Soho that did not deliver as I expected. I was expecting more based on the positive reviews, but I found the food was correct and not as good as other Korean restaurants I have been to. The Seafood Pajeon (seafood pancake with spring onions) had a great taste of spring onions, but there was no trace of flavour of the seafood, which was very chewy in texture. Also, the pancake was a bit soggy compared to other Korean pancakes I had that were crispier on the outside. The sweet and spicy crispy fried chicken wings were very tender and the sauce was good, but it over empowered the chicken flavour. The beef bulgogi had good rice but the meat was a bit dry in my opinion. Also the dish lacked the umami and flavour complexity that I have found in other Korean restaurants. Maybe today they had a bad day but I was not impressed with the quality of the food. Also, I felt a bit sick for the rest of the day after the meal so I am not sure I will come back to give it a chance.

Ordered spicy beef soup with rice Had almost no meat or vegetable in the soup. Essentially I was paying £12.50 for broth and rice. I had to make do with the small sides to fill me up and I still felt hungry. If I knew I would have just bought 3 sandwiches from Pret and it will be more worth it. Service was good though.

Got seated quickly, helped that we booked a table. Got served quickly too, got our order in <15 minutes, food was amazing. Chicken was perfectly cooked, spiced amazingly. Seafood scallion pancake was crunchy on the edges and soft in the centre.

Tasty food, I tried first time Korean food we order loads of food, which cost us 61 pounds, as vegetarian person I order vegetable fried noodles which was delicious with some radish kimchi and veg pancake which taste amazing, full packed place have to wait outside in line to get in there

Ordered Ramen and Tteok-bokki alongside other dishes. Raven was undercooked, and the Tteok-bokki tasted plastic. The food presentation is also lacking. Genuinely, I don't get the hype over this place on TikTok. Won't be going again.

I am just way too frustrated right now. I have called them at 9:52 and they confirmed twice on call that it will get closed by 12:00. I have literally traveled so long to get here and they turned me back saying it closes by 11:00 and it’s not even 11:00 yet and they have their doors closed already. On arrival , they told that kitchen gets closed at 10:00. I mean why even say 11:00 as the closing time, let alone 12:00, if the kitchen closes at 10:00 and they only serve customers already seated? So disappointed and very stupid of them to misguide. Weird communication at their end.

If you're going to London and are looking for good value for money, this is a great option. Particularly, the fried chicken bibimbab and bulgogi kimchi fried rice were delicious and had a great portion size. The black bean fried chicken was okay, if a little strange in terms of texture. The location itself is also not the best atmosphere, especially if you were seated under a flickering light like we were!

Great food but our table was wobbly 😔

There were a lot of people during dinner time, so you had to queue up to get a number and wait to be seated, which took about 3-40 minutes. The first and second floors are full of people, and the seats are quite crowded. Because there are so many people, the environment is quite noisy. The beef in the army pot is chewy, the instant noodles and rice cakes are delicious after being cooked, and the smoked sausage is a bit salty.

It was a 40 minute wait to get in but it was worth it. Staff were lovely. The hotpot was exceptional value and is more than enough for two and they have every flavour soju imaginable. Visited with a friend and we rolled home that night.

Pork hot pots [Budaejigae] are the best that I've found in London. Service is friendly and quick. Great atmosphere for friends and family. No bookings but worth the queue! 5/5 Stars.

Excellent food, reasonably priced. We came for lunch on Sunday and were seated without wait or booking. The drinks are excellent as well, especially the rice juice.

Excellent restaurant, the service was perfect, waitress were reactive and kind with us. The food was very good, with a great and simple ambience in the restaurant. As a tourist I highly recommend !

Fried chicken is top notch. Would highly recommend. The tofu jiggae is a quite plain for a stew - there was literally only tofu and an egg inside. I would have expected more veg at least, as the stew was plain and lacked depth.

My fav Korean restaurant! Usually fairly busy but wait for a table is never long and service is fast. Casual atmosphere, pretty loud due to music & crowdedness but I like it.

the food was amazing, I had the bbq spicy pork. the sauce was amazing and the pork was done very well. my nan had the rice which was also very tasty. the service was nice and fast, staff very friendly. I will be coming back soon with the rest of my family

Excellent Food and Outstanding Hospitality! After a disappointing experience at another restaurant, we came to this well-known Korean halal restaurant, and it was a complete turnaround. Despite the long queue, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The waiter even went out of their way to help us carry our baby’s pram, which made us feel so cared for. Every staff member had a smile on their face, creating such a positive and pleasant atmosphere. Their professionalism and helpful attitude stood out. The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors that we all enjoyed. The prices were very reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality. We had a wonderful experience as a group of seven adults and a 5-month-old baby, and we couldn’t be more satisfied. Thank you for your outstanding service and hospitality – we’ll definitely be back!

Good food, with amazing portions. However a few of the dishes like fried chicken and japachae is not as good as it was a few years ago

A restaurant I stopped by during my trip to London. The best value for money in London. On the first day, there were a lot of people waiting, so I went to eat the Brazilian steak buffet, but it wasn't good for Korean tastes. I should have been here two days in a row, but it's a shame I could only eat there one day. May your business prosper. The staff are also very friendly.

Assa is one of the amazing koran restaurants. Their food is almost identical to the food we eat in Seoul. The ambiance is nice and we always find a table although the plate is crowded! The taboki with ramen is sooo delicious. As well as their spicy chicken dumplings. Its super delicious. The staff are very friendly. The quality never changes. Its always consistent and fresh. Thank u !

I first came here on 19 November 2023. I’ve been here a few times since. Every time I get the Dakgangjeong chicken and love it. It comes with some pieces of tteokbokki. It is £11, but you have to pay £2 extra for the rice. I personally think it should come with rice. Also, something amazing they sell here is Lychee Coke. I always order that, it’s gorgeous. The service can be iffy. The first time, they forgot to make my food so had to get their attention and wait extra long for it. Had to get their attention to ask for the bill too. The place has air con so it could get a little bit cold sometimes. But sometimes the service is fine. When I got there at around 4pm on Sunday, it wasn’t too busy and there wasn’t a wait. When I left the restaurant though, it was very busy and the queue was into the street. I always go here before the peak time which starts at about 6 pm and later. They however have a no booking policy and it’s hard to find a menu online since their website is nonexistent.

Incredible food and very affordable for the quality and location. Not taking reservations is my biggest negative, but it is necessary with their high volume of customers and is a sign of a very successful restaurant. Taste is priority, so don't expect any fancy furniture or interior. But the selection of food was delicious, it came very quickly, and we were all left full to the brim after only paying £28~ each for a main, side and a beer. Will return again and again

Very good food. It’s a bit tricky since they serve so many pork items but the beef is brought out separately. The bulgogi was amazing. As was the spicy chicken. The hot pot was very good. Would highly recommend and will visit again.

it’s my second time. like how simple it and their service. though you need to wait for your frnds outside and will be sitted only when you all gathered, it’s still worth it

Previously had good experiences here, but sadly not on this occasion. Visited on a cold December lunchtime, we were seated by the open door, which was uncomfortable. Waited to order, but no one came until we decided to leave whereupon we were quizzed over why we were leaving. Staff polite but inattentive when it matters!

1st day back in London, it’s 10 degrees nothing better than a Korean hot pot stew with Beef mushroom kimchi and tofu to warm you up. I haven’t been to Assa in probably like 2 years but it was a great experience once again. The soup was flavourful and warming, lots of beef and kimchi and we ordered a portion of fried chicken on the side with rice. As usual this place was filled with hungry patrons. The bill came to £63 for two of us.

The quality of the chicken was sooo bad it was inedible, we could not eat it. The chicken tasted like sponge, and looked grey, as though they used old, expired chicken. I have never tasted such a weird texture in chicken before. The chicken we got was the sweet and spicy boneless fried chicken on Tuesday evening, 3rd Dec 2024. Please do better with your chicken quality, it was disgusting. I gave 2 stars because the kimchi and radish kimchi was good.

Went on a Friday night at 6pm so it was quite busy. We waited for about 15 minutes outside with the staff giving us regular updates on the waiting times (very helpful). The service was extremely quick when we got in and the food was delicious, we had bibimbap with the kimchi dumplings which was sooo delicious! Also the prices were very very reasonable for London!

Saw a review on the "no sit down at the table until your group complete" policy and want to add on that too as I also had a same disappointing experience several days ago. I was running late, but the rest of my friends already arrived there (literally, it was just me - one person - who had not arrived yet). The situation was my friends were ready to order once they're inside, they did not plan to wait for me before proceeding with order & eating. My final straw was when i informed that i was <10 minutes walking away from the restaurant (i was getting off the tube at picadilly circus), but they still would not let my friends come inside & take the table! It really irked my curiousity on what are the logic & objectives behind this very strict & rigid policy. I completely understand if you wouldn't let people take the table unless they ready to order & eat, especially on very busy/crowded time, as it really affects your service flow. However, the strict emphasis on complete/uncomplete number of people is very unnecessary. If you're really struggle with service capacity / queue during busy times, there are other options such as 60-90 mins per table policy, or requesting customer that they need to order directly if they already claim a table, or other options? Foods were delicious but they were not on an extraordinary level too that you can find as delicious or more korean foods in many other places in London with less effort on the waiting aspect. Very positive experience on waiters as they were friendly and attentive to our needs & requests. Overall, we had a good dinner time!

The policy of no one can sit down unless everyone is present is horrible. Not understanding or compassionate to their customers at all, having people just pass by them while waiting just because your group isn’t complete. They will pay at the end of the day so why not just let them sit?

A really lovely Korean restaurant in Soho. Fast service with exceptionally polite service. The queue can be out the door at peak times. A massive selection of drinks with flavoured sodas and beers, even a chocolate beer!

By far the best korean food in London. I haven’t tried all they dishes but whatever I have has never disappointed. From the Japchae to the fried chicken to the bibimbap to the sprouted beans and kimchi. Ah-mazing.

This is my favourite restaurant in London, the quality is absolutely consistent from one visit to the next and there have been many. The transparent sweet potato noodles are my favourite. Price is very reasonable, can't really dine out for less. There's always a queue but I'm glad otherwise it would always be booked weeks ahead on a weekend. As a date location it can be a bit noisy and crowded, but the food will impress.

Mi pareja y yo habíamos reservado aquí para nuestra cena de aniversario a las 7 pm. Llegué al lugar antes y le pregunté si podía esperarlo dentro, ya que hacía bastante frío al aire libre. La camarera me informó que “toda la fiesta tenía que estar presente para que se permitiera entrar a cualquiera”, y que solo aguantarían nuestra mesa durante 15 minutos. Desafortunadamente, mi compañero se retrasó un poco al salir del trabajo y me pidió que lo esperara adentro y comenzara a pedir algo de comida mientras llegaba. Volví a preguntarle a la encargada si podía ir a nuestra mesa y empezar a pedir mientras mi pareja iba hacia allí, y ella volvió a repetir que no podía sentarme sola, que esto nos lo habrían informado cuando hicimos la reserva, y repitió que solo aguantarían nuestra mesa durante 15 minutos. Definitivamente NO nos informaron de esta “toda la parte entrando al mismo tiempo” al hacer la reserva, y por supuesto terminamos comiendo en otro lugar, como claramente era su intención por alguna razón. Una de las peores experiencias de servicio al cliente que hemos encontrado.

My 3rd or 4th time here. The menu has grown and there's a wider selection. This hasn't affected quality as the meal/service today was 100% . As good as it gets away from the motherland. We timed our visit to around 4pm as I know it gets busy at peak times and you may have to queue to get in. Good luck

On a chilly dreich October night stepped into this bustling eatery. Had the hotpot and was blown away with the rich flavours. Service was excellent with welcoming and attentive hosts.

Rude server. Asked if we were ready to pay. When we said no she looked affronted which was putting embarrassment on us which was rude and unfair. Please install ceiling baffles and other sound reducing architecture to reduce sound as hard to hear.

The hotpot was worth the queue. Been a few times now and each time it’s been amazing. Service is also great, the staff are very welcoming and checking up regularly.
