Aslans Fish and Chips in Denbighshire

First time we've had Fish & Chips from here, but it won't be the last. Quality Cod, well cooked in crispy batter and tasty chops. Neither were greasy and it was all freshly cooked and piping hot when we got it home! At £10 for a large Cod & Chips, it wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for and overall, it was good value for quality food. Steve 9.4.24

Food, was tasty, hot and plentiful. Waiting was average as it was busy. Could do with a chair or 2 to sit whilst waiting. Also a heater as it was freezing in the waiting area.

Expensive and very slow service, food was edible but nothing special especially considering the price.

It's a take away that not only does fish and chips but also kebabs. Try them once then graze there all the time.

Food is lovely we often use this place but the last few times ringing just after 10:30 they answer and say they are closed. When asked to speak with manager to complain low and behold manager isn’t available. Service is shocking. Need to change times online to reflect closing times. No customer service skills at all

Lovely food down for the weekend, order yesterday forgot to leave a review.... forgot to take pictures but must admit the portions was fantastic well worth the money spent. The staff very friendly and welcoming.

Purchased a large portion and medium portion of fish and chips. The only reason we bought from here was because the fish and chips are fried separately from the other items. The order didn't take too long. Also requested some chilli sauce to go with the salt and vinegar. Which was great. The fish and chips tasted really fresh. It was a perfect way to end the day and enjoy the drive home.

Just horrible I order fish and chips they delivery the order when I open is only fish.I call to them and ask where is my chips and they say i need to pay extra for this but in them app they write this come together FISH AND CHIPS do not recommend because they lie through their app and then ask for more money...

Love this place, but tonight you wrapped the kebab in the naan with all the salad and sauce, usually you put it all separate. Please go back to the old way, everything was soggy and not enjoyable as much 👍

I ordered 2 large cod and chips, they were large and full of flavour. Very clean place and nice good food. I'm coming here again, I drove 18 mins just to get a fish dinner. I recommend this place .. yum

Walked in waited for about 15 mins while they did mainly just eat orders, finally asked is my order a collection order, would have known if they asked 10 mins earlier, left without ordering. Wouldn't recommend walking in, seems like just eat has ruined any customer service.

The best eatery in North Wales. I have been coming to Rhyl for a number of years now and I require all my food to be Halal which is very hard to get in Rhyl. This place not just surpassed that requirement but their food was absolutely delicious, it reminded me of my time in Turkey where the meat was fabulously grilled to perfection I went in and when I see a chippy, I always judge them on their ability to grill, so I ordered a skewers of chicken, meat and Sheesh with some chips. My my was I impressed with the outcome, their food was fresh, delicious and wasn't overly powering. This place will now always be my go to Turkish in Rhyl, highly recommended and cannot be missed. Their prices are reasonable for the quality your getting, they also do fish but didn't get the chance to taste - next time. Wish I'd taken a few photos of the food but it was soo delicious that we all just tucked into it.

Lovely clay oven cooked (shawarma/naan). Traditional chunky chips and light battered fish. Will easy travel 10 miles to get my food from here, as nothing else comes close. Clean shop and helpful staff.

Me and the misses Just ordered from here for the first time and currently stuffing our faces! Found my new favourite take away and their home made chilli sauce is banging! Will be ordering again guaranteed! Tempted to steal my misses chicken fillet burger though... It looks amazing... Update: thought I'd try Aslans again, had a mixed special kebab this time... Don't really know what to say other than the naan was a bit thin but if they carry on making food like that I'm going to be the size of a house! It was still absolutely amazing! Found a new favourite takeaway I think. Even the cat was impressed trying to swipe it off my plate every 7 seconds

Had two half chicken and chips from Aslans for our tea it was absolutely lovely the delivery man was very nice, food lovely and hot, if we could give it more stars we would, great food highly recommended here for takeaway!

The food was absolutely amazing. I had fish and chips and omg it was beautiful, the batter was crispy and crunchy no excess grease. This will definitely be my local chip shop from now on. My sons had the burger and pizza and loved it not a scrap left.

We don’t order takeaway often, but tried Aslan on a recommendation and boy oh boy were we amazed. The Shish Kebab was absolutely amazing. The lamb meat was well marinated and grilled to perfection and the nan bread fresh and delicious. This was the best kebab I’ve ever had...bar none. My husband had the fish and chips and said it was lovely. The only bit that wasn’t great were the onion rings which were a bit limb and soggy, but I don’t think anyone could deliver crisp onion rings if they tried. I would recommend they try to use recycled materials for their take away. Overall a BIG well done. 😁

I ordered the food over the phone i was told it was gonna be about an hour for delivery. To then 1 hour later to get a phone call to say with the combi it has to be 3 different kebabs yet online (you can order 3 the same however why didnt the person say that 1 hour ago at the time of ordering) I wouldnt mind but then they have the nerve to ask me to place the order again via online to wait another hour for the exact same order! I will never use these again.

I was keen to write a review because Aslans fish and chips was gorgeous a very tasty meal. Must admit i do prefer mushy peas with chippy tea however they were extremely busy so it was completely understandable. The place looked really clean. The staff were polite and friendly. Very happy customer

£6.00 for medium cod and chips and it was worth every penny, it was delicious! Light, thin batter with flaky fish underneath. Chips were good and so we're the peas. Definitely recommend.

Best fish and chips in the area by far :) and now with kebabs too.. clay cooked naan breads and the best chargilled kebabs and vegetables. Have to be tried!

We have had from here quite a few times but this time I have been left very disappointed in them,some of my order was missing so phoned them up was not given an apology or even anything to rectify the situation so was left with some of the meal missing. I'm so disappointed in them won't be having from here again if they can't be bothered rectifying on these issues or even apologizing.

Probably the best fish and chips I've tasted ,fish was pure white ,chips were nice .I would definitely recommend this as one of the best chip shops in Rhyl .

Fantastic service all freshly made. Portion sizes are excellent, so much so that one portion of fish and chips feeds my husband and I. I live in Kinmel Bay but will drive to Rhyl as won't go anywhere else now. They now have delivery available for orders over £10 so if ordering enough is well worth it

Decided we d try Aslans for tea you can order online and they also deliver which is fantastic, very nice delivery man was really prompt arriving, the food was all lovely! It was all fresh not greasy great portions, had fish, chicken burger both with chips yum, mushy peas were very nice aswel as the curry sauce, value for money we were so pleased we chose here, absolutely recommend!

Went there tonight for the first time. The young lady who served us was very pleasant. We had fish and chips (not had them for months..). The food was out of this world and not greasy! Thank you, we will highly recommend you!

Every time we go this chip shop it’s been great, not an issue. Whatever we choose from the menu it’s been well worth the wait as it’s well cooked tasty and great portions, we drive past others to go here. Well recommended.

Tried to place an order from here tonight via there website after this place being highly recommended to me, advertised on their Facebook page is that they deliver to Rhyl, Rhuddlan, Kinmel Bay & Prestatyn, I therefore gathered they’d deliver to Dyserth seeing as it’s nearly 1 mile closer than a Prestatyn delivery but unfortunately not, I get a phone call stating they won’t deliver. Didn’t even offer to continue with the order for collection. Ah well, won’t be trying here again and I’ll be making sure I tell the friend that recommended them too. Aslan’s you’re missing out not delivering to villages closer to you than Prestatyn, utterly crazy and just no logic to it. Vale Road to Prestatyn High Street 4.9 miles, Vale Road to Dyserth 4.1 miles.

We have a caravan on New Pines & have been getting takeaways from here a while. The fresh fish is superb aswell as the chips!! We're also fans if the curry sauce & gravy! Won't go anywhere else!

Decent fish and chips. Haddock was very nice. Let down a bit by gravy and curry sauce being very average, and it’s cash only, which meant a 5 walk down the road before I could pay.

It is good to see a 'chippy' sticking to the basic principles and doing them very well!! Everything is cooked fresh to order and it really reflects in the quality and taste, the food here is excellent and our new Favourite take out, would recommend.
