New entrance to the right at Jackson’s Garden Centre and exit at the far left by the cafe and new screened till points. There is a one way follow the arrow system which kind of works (we did go back but really you should exit and go round again ) we did queue to get in and went straight to the cafe where you are given a hand held device which alerts you (pings) when there is a free table. Everyone was wearing masks or visors in the cafe. We felt quite safe as it is all very well organised. Wipe clean menus, waitress service, very clean and tidy everywhere including the shop and outside areas very quick service and the bacon, Brie and cranberry panini £5.99 from the the Christmas menu was delicious. The pate of the day platter £5.99 served on a board tasted as good as it looked . Very reasonable priced menu. Lovely Christmas decorations and gifts in the shop. It was nice to be out and about for a lovely lunch and catch up

Visited for lunch yesterday as part of Eat Out to Help Out scheme as we are new to the area and want to try lots of different places. Firstly parking was easy with an overspill area so plenty of spaces to park easily. Staff member at entrance to welcome us and provide guidance as to hand sanitiser / covid compliance etc. We hadn't booked (dont know if its the type of place to take bookings), and cafe busy but staff prompt and friendly in finding us a table. Menu is simple, typical lunch fare with sandwiches, paninis, omlettes etc and some very delicious looking cakes at the counter, but uses lots of locally sourced produce so very good quality. We both ordered the farmhouse platter which was absolutely great. Little bit of cheese, pate and thick cut ham with salad, pickle etc and the most fresh, soft harvester brown bread. Service was unfortunately a little slow as both very busy, and the team then had problems with the card machines, but this was minor hiccup and staff very apologetic. Afterwards spent pleasant time looking round the garden centre. Would I return - absolutely.

We were staying locally so we brought my elderly mother here for late breakfast. We arrived just as breakfast service time was almost up but when asked the friendly staff were more than willing to take our breakfast order. Ordered scrambled eggs on toast ,2 full breakfasts, cup of tea,2 flat whites and a banoffee tart. Food looked really appetizing and tasted really good. My wife remarked on the high quality of the breakfasts. Flat whites just as I like them and banoffee tart was delicious.

Always a pleasure to visit the Potting Shed cafe but this time we arrived at a very busy pre Christmas weekend lunch time. We had to wait a few minutes for a table, we placed an order at the counter but we really didn’t have long to wait for our food. We were all happy with our choices and enjoyed our visit. We had A cheese ploughman’s, panini’s and cakes. We shall be back again midweek soon. Food is plentiful, lots of choice and reasonably priced.

We call at the Potting Shed at Jackson’s nurseries / garden boutique at least once a month. It’s always busy but service is prompt. There is a specials board as you enter the cafe from the shop. Take a seat, make a note of your table number, then go to the till to order. Don’t forget to collect your cutlery once you’ve ordered and paid. This time we ordered a Daddy’s Special breakfast bap and a Potting Shed Vegan Special. We had tea, coffee AND cake! Vegan Viennese whirl and a Bakewell slice. I had at least three cups of tea in the pot, so I was happy. Great for all ages, we noticed there are high chairs for the very young and it’s pleasant to sit out on the decking area in the sunshine too. Very good value for money.

We've been visiting Jackson's garden centre & The Potting Shed for a while now. The cakes are always scrumptious! We didn't have time to stay for a cup of tea & cake so we asked to take away. As you're still paying £3.50/£4 for a slice of cake you'd assume you'd get your cake in a patisserie box but nope! They were just individually wrapped in tin foil. I had a Bakewell slice and when we got home all the icing had stuck to the tin foil. So not very practical! Cakes are cheaper in Greggs/Sainsburys and they're sold in boxes! Just something to consider. Cakes were amazing as always!! That's why I've still given a "very good" 4/5. Will be back soon xxx

This is my fourth afternoon tea at Lady M's, but my first Christmas one. I have to say the afternoon tea has always been amazing, probably one of the best I have had (and I have had a fair few!), but the Christmas one was outstanding. Had a glass of buck's fizz to start, made with prosecco, which was a great start, and as always the food was fresh, nicely presented and plentiful. There is a decent waitress service once you have got through the counter service, which is a bit chaotic with a lot of inexperienced staff. Trying to book is not easy either with no one taking the initiative. Hopefully will improve. Scones good.

2 meals. Prawn marie rose jacket and the potting shed platter. Jacket potato was pushed inwards so the potato rose up in the middle to make it appear as though there was more filling than there actually was.The "platter" consisted of a pork pie,one small slice of cheese, 1 piece of bread, small salad and a small ramekin of chutney. All for 8.95! Get real, not worth the money, not even if the pork pie was from Harrod's!

My wife and I went to Jacksons Nursery. We only went to buy a Rhododendron.Upon entering we notices the New and very well refurbished cafe. The potting shed. We just had to stop and have a bite to eat. We sat outside In the beautiful and warm sunshine. We both enjoyed two lovely meals, with an excellent selection of cakes to choose from. I really enjoy the ambiance of a garden centre cafe.

Over the past few months, my mother and I have taken to visiting garden centres on a Saturday ( on the theory that these places usually have nice cafes & you can brows around the shop part, and it's all undercover if the weather isn't so great). So we came here this time. Lunch was delicious, I had the ploughman's platter & my mum had the farmhouse platter. Both were yummy. We will definitely be returning here. It is our current favourite garden centre cafe, having gone straight in at number 1 in our unofficial ranking of such places in North East Wales/North West England.

After many recommendations to visit here I am prepared to give this place 3 stars rather than the 2 it maybe deserves, the simple order of a panini and a cheese and tomato omlette took 40 minutes from order to table and unfortunately the cheese and tomato omlette morphed into a cheese and tomato and mushroom ( which my wife detests) omlette which arrived on the plate as if it had been scraped up off the floor..my panini was delicious though, would we visit again ? Most probably it deserves a second chance on previous recommendations as surely it can't be as poor again

I have visited here numerous times for the beautiful cakes on offer which are competatively priced. The cream scone is an absolute favourite. The cafe is lovely and has many of the decorative items on display that you are able to buy in the shop. However I think the savoury food options are over priced for what they are as they are nothing special, the paninis and toasties are the same as you would find anywhere and yet are priced similar to those at massive boutique garden centres such as the Grosvenor which in my opinion serves far superior savory food. Most of the younger staff are lovely however a couple of the older staff at the counter never seem to smile and I have seen them seem aggravated at times which is unsettling. As I say though, the cakes and setting are amazing and are the reason I will continue to come here for cake and a coffee but they either need to reduce their prices or up their game with the savoury food before we would come for a meal.

Took my Mum and sister on Wednesday for afternoon tea after they had driven up from Cardiff. They really enjoyed that we went back on Friday for lunch on their way home. The food is good and the cakes are homemade and freshly baked. Will continue to visit the Potting Shed

What a lovely local place to eat. Home made cakes are delicious and there is a wide range of light snacks and lunches, all made using fresh and locally supplied ingredients. The staff are so friendly and pleasant with customers - lovely atmosphere. You can then finish off your visit by having a browse around the very well stocked shop and garden centre. The Christmas display is well worth seeing. I bring most of my friends here for a cuppa and cake!

My friend and I had run out of ideas as to what to do on a drizzling July Saturday afternoon and we decided to go and have afternoon tea at the cafe. The sandwiches and cakes we had were nice; nothing exceptional, however, the staff were really attentive and welcoming which made it a very pleasant experience. I will most certainly revisit.

Lovely relaxing venue for lunch out with a friend, we both thought there was plenty of choice with great service from the staff, Beverley was particularly helpful. Order and pay at the counter then your order is brought to you. Not the cheapest for this type of menu offer but I feel worth the little extraThanks for great service will be back

The cakes was gorgeous. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating and we will certainly visit again. There is a lovely outside seating area too and the cafe is set inside a garden centre.

Nothing like a shed inside. Well laid out with comfortable seating. Coffees and teacakes always piping hot. Scones are warm and crumbly from the oven. Unfortunately not been there for the right time to try lunch. Must do one day. There is also an outside seating area among the plants. Look forward to visiting every time. The staff are always helpful and cheerful and this adds to the general atmosphere.

Lovely surroundings await you if you choose to visit this tea rooms. Comfortable chairs and you can choose to eat outside amongst the plants and flowers on wooden decking if you prefer. Great breakfasts, cooked to order. Home made cakes and a large selection to choose from. Sandwiches, pains is, omelettes, jacket spuds, homemade soups and salads. I have enjoyed everything I have sampled here. Coffee is of a great standard and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Like all good places, can get very busy at peak times.

We called for coffee and cake mid-morning during the week. There was a good choice on offer. The restaurant was very busy with three quarters of tables occupied. Price was average. Service was quick. Food and drink were tasty. Price was ok for coffee and cake, not sure what it is like for a meal. There aren’t many windows so despite the location high up in the Welsh hills you don’t get much of a view. I’ll call again.

Was in the area again so went for coffee etc. before shopping in the Garden Centre. My wife and mum had cups of tea whilst I had a cappuccino Very good value. Plenty of cakes to choose from and purposely arrived early to avoid them being sold out. I had a slice of Victoria sandwich which was really tasty-The staff were very helpful when we enquired whether we could purchase slice of carrot cake as a take away for my aunt which they agreed to (wrapped in foil)

Lovely big cafè with lots of beautiful dining tables and chairs. Nice decor. Could do with having some back ground music on as it's quite an echoey room and when busy can be noisey. The staff are excellent, it's very clean and tidy. I find the menu is small but a good specials board.Best thing for me is the delicious cakes, they're a must when you visit Jacksons!

Three of us visited Jacksons Garden Centre to browse extensive collection of goods and particularly to sit down with coffee etc. We arrived late afternoon and there was not many of their cakes left so we just contented ourselves with filter coffee & tea.Good service in a new setting for this cafe. Good value
