I had a great night out at Ask Italian the other week. Two brilliant pizzas and lovely cocktails. The staff were incredibly friendly! Our waitress Izzy was incredibly kind and kept making sure we were okay which was greatly appreciated.

Waiter was very helpful however the manager is a different story

Me and my family came in today on the 16th of may and we have twin and Aleksandra seated us in a perfect booth, ideal space for 2 adults and 2 young children, She was amazing from the start to finish, and we were super impressed with how polite her service was. The food was gorgeous and to die for 10/10 recommend and we will be back!!!! Well done Aleksandra keep it up

Quiet on Tuesday but very good food and service

Enjoyed a lovely meal yesterday at ask italian newcastle! My server was absolutely phenomenal she was quick, polite, and very attentive she was one of the best servers I’ve had in the UK so far!! Her name was Jane if you ever get the chance to enjoy a meal there make sure you ask for Miss Jane she will make your meal a 5 star experience!!!

Had some delicious food and drinks here, warm welcome, staff very attentive & friendly, good atmosphere, well looked after, got to mention Ellis who was very nice, great team and restaurant, keep up the good work 👏

I ordered the crayfish and prawn pasta, it came and had 2 prawns and no crayfish, when I ask about it the lady told me it's crayfish pasta but we don't put crayfish in, hahah what??? and 2 prawns for like £17 for a bowl of pasta is an absolute disgrace! Was so tasteless, couldn't taste any chilli, the chips were garlic parmo, the parmo was rock hard and the cocktail was tasteless and just a boring juice. My brothers ice cream on the kids meal was a scoop but I think they used a table spoon for a scoop! So expensive and I've been to loads of much better Italians, this has actually honestly got to be one of the worse and boring one I've been to.

We have had a lovely afternoon here, food was amazing. What made it more special was the young lady serving us. Amina !! Lovely lass . it was my daughters birthday today and she loved it too

It was a very good experience. The food I ordered was great. Both the starter and the main were tasty. The staff were friendly. And the atmosphere in the restaurant was good.

We came looking for pizza for the kids and were so pleasantly surprised by the food and service. From a restaurant in a MALL of all places. The lasagna was incredible, but more importantly the care and service of the staff (shout-out to Jane and Ellis) was impeccable. We have multiple allergies in the family and they walked us through every step. They were so attentive and sweet, I would easily eat here again. Bathroom: 9/10; tricky to find but clean and easy to take kids in.

The restaurant is beautiful, the burrata pizza is delicious, the pasta is also delicious, and the lemonade and hospitality are refreshing The direct employee has good manners, is presentable, and smiles

Usually a good place to eat, but the three of us found the lasagna grande warm in the middle, not hot. My two friends aren’t the types to complain but if you don’t inform the kitchen, they can’t fix it. Mine was delivered back to me in the state it should have been in the first place, hot. The prices are also creeping up, £90 for three starters and mains. Still much better than Bella Italian mind!

I had a really good experience today thanks to the lovely Jane

I dined at Ask Italian in Eldon Square on 5 February 2025. I ordered the Fettuccine Bolognese. The dish was obvious not cooked to order as it came within less than 5 minutes of me ordering. The pasta has clearly been chopped or broken during its preparation as there were several strips of fettuccine that were less than an inch in length. There were also several pieces of pasta congealed together. There were 4 pieces of pasta congealed together in one instance. Furthermore, the pasta was cold and the presentation poor. I was served a glass of Prosecco in a glass that had lip marks on it, and was also dirty on the base. I also ordered a "flat white bailey's martini" which usually contains coffee liqueur. I appreciate that this may have been out of stock on this particularly occasion. However, it was replaced with more vodka, which made the cocktail far too strong. I also ordered a garden mint tea which had far too few mint leaves for a teapot of the size ASK Italian uses. The service was very good, especially for a chain. The branch seemed to running on just enough staff members on Wednesday. I look forward to hearing how ASK Italian's management may resolve my experience from Wednesday and restore my faith in the chain.

Food that needed attention. The food was really really good. The only not so good was the calamari rest everything was spot on. The staff is attentive and warm. The place is quiet and peaceful, so you really enjoy the company. We loved it.

I dine regularly at ASk Italian Newcastle as Ellis and all the team are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food is lovely and the menu wide and varied. Service is excellent and the staff deserve 6 stars IMO

Bit slow to seat us but once at a table, the food and staff service was great. Would eat here again.

Excellent, friendly service when eating here with my girlfriend. The food is prepared quickly and tasty with 0 complaints. Relatively affordable too compared to other places + complimentary shots once you are seated. For my first time eating proper Italian, this was an amazing introduction.

The service was speedy and I was served by a lovely waiter here named Ellis. He checked on how we are doing and we had a nice chat. The food were delicious, and it was my boyfriend's first time there and he enjoyed it too. We will definitely go there again

Tomé a mis nietos pequeños como regalo en las fiestas navideñas. Hemos estado antes, pero me parece muy caro para la comida muy promedio. Tenía la carbonara pero el plato estaba frío y la pasta tibia. Mis nietos pizza era muy pequeña. La factura fue de más de £ 40 por un plato de pasta para adultos y dos comidas para niños. Lo intentaré en otro lugar la próxima vez

Reservado aquí para el cumpleaños de mi esposa. Finalmente vinieron a tomar nuestro pedido y me dijeron que no había carne de res, así que les pedí que me dieran unos minutos para mirar de nuevo. Me decidí por el pollo y me dijeron que tampoco había pollo. Finalmente se decidió por la lasaña, pero estaba muy decepcionado. La comida que tuvimos era agradable. Mientras comíamos, un joven pasó por delante de nosotros empujando contenedores de plástico llenos hacia la parte trasera del restaurante. Estábamos disgustados por esto, ya que debería haberse hecho al final de la noche cuando no hay clientes en. No volveremos.

Muy pocos clientes cuando llamamos para un almuerzo tarde un domingo. No se ofrece agua, no hay condimentos en la mesa. Pedí sus "más queridos" hongos Al Forno descritos como "Setas rellenas de mozzarella y queso duro añejo, pan rallado y cebollas, al horno en Wildfarmed * ciabatta, servido con mayonesa de ajo" más una ensalada de acompañamiento. Se veían grises y secos; cuando corté un pedazo en mi tenedor vi que estaban básicamente crudos. No había sabor a queso y el pan era dos trozos delgados y crujientes de lo que parecía galleta. La ensalada estaba muy bien picada con un sabroso aderezo. La camarera llamó al gerente cuando dije que no estaba feliz y no cobraron por nada de mi comida. Dos de mis amigos tenían pizzas diferentes, ninguna de las cuales parecía apetitosa ya que había poca cobertura. Muy decepcionante. Por eso no me gustan las cadenas.

Party of two. Wednesday afternoon. The area was busy with guests for about 30%. We were waiting for reception that long we almost decided to go to another place. The reception was in a rush. My question to accommodate us to my preferred seeds was ignored. Instead of ansfer, she roughly asked us for any allergies that i hadn't even heard. My daughter explained to me that later on. The British female receptionist ran to the place he decided for us, and at the time we reached the table, she served the complimentary shots of some juice without explaining what it was. Another female attendant, i believe shi was Italian and was more gentle and intended to servicing process. That pnly what was apriciated and it adds the forth star to the service section. Going to food. There was served One king prawn only in plate of pasta that has named Rigationi with king prawnS. The two most delicious deserts, chocolate lawa and chocolate etna, were not available. Disappointed. If you take tiramisu like I did, I would recomend to have it with a cup of coffee. Otherwise, it is too sweet. This recommendation hasn't been offered by the attendant. The tird server was in a rush, just dropped off the desserts, and disappeared, that doesn't add you a filing of comfort but likely much ado. Galley exhaust needs to be improved. The area is in the smell of burnt food. The most unpleasant was the loud ringing phone, some there in the bar area. Surely, next time before entering the area, I would ask for the deserts' availability... the rest I can get at other places. Compared to our last wisit party of four somewhere in June 2024, the level dropped down.

Didn’t get the table we booked, quite a few of choices from the dessert menu were unavailable.
