Popped in for a quick pasta, the place was fairly quiet but had a nice ambiance. Our server Lucy was really helpful with my daughters allergies and super polite and friendly. The food wasn’t that great but fair for the price.

Came in today for food, had chicken lecca lecca and fettuccine Bolognese which were both lovely. Massive shout to our waitress Lucy who was very very helpful and attentive! Will be attending again

Party of two. Wednesday afternoon. The area was busy with guests for about 30%. We were waiting for reception that long we almost decided to go to another place. The reception was in a rush. My question to accommodate us to my preferred seeds was ignored. Instead of ansfer, she roughly asked us for any allergies that i hadn't even heard. My daughter explained to me that later on. The British female receptionist ran to the place he decided for us, and at the time we reached the table, she served the complimentary shots of some juice without explaining what it was. Another female attendant, i believe shi was Italian and was more gentle and intended to servicing process. That pnly what was apriciated and it adds the forth star to the service section. Going to food. There was served One king prawn only in plate of pasta that has named Rigationi with king prawnS. The two most delicious deserts, chocolate lawa and chocolate etna, were not available. Disappointed. If you take tiramisu like I did, I would recomend to have it with a cup of coffee. Otherwise, it is too sweet. This recommendation hasn't been offered by the attendant. The tird server was in a rush, just dropped off the desserts, and disappeared, that doesn't add you a filing of comfort but likely much ado. Galley exhaust needs to be improved. The area is in the smell of burnt food. The most unpleasant was the loud ringing phone, some there in the bar area. Surely, next time before entering the area, I would ask for the deserts' availability... the rest I can get at other places. Compared to our last wisit party of four somewhere in June 2024, the level dropped down.

Didn’t get the table we booked, quite a few of choices from the dessert menu were unavailable.

Here's a review you I absolutely loved my experience at ASK Italian! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with a complimentary virgin lemonade, which was such a lovely touch. We tried the Strawberry Sparkle, a delightful and refreshing drink. For our meal, we ordered the Penne Arrabbiata pasta and Margherita pizza, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on, and everything was cooked to perfection. Monica was absolutely amazing with her service I highly recommend ASK Italian—10/10 for food, service, and ambiance!

Absolutely amazing 😍 😍 10/10 , I had the beef brisket for my main and it was absolutely gorgeous, melt in the mouth. I also got the tiramisu and I have never had a tiramisu so light and creamy , it will never be beat.

Had the NE1 restaurant week deal with starter (garlic bread and Mozzarella) and main (beef brisket parpadelle) - it was absolutely delicious, and I may come back again to have it full price.

A visit after the matinee performance at Theatre Royal. Restaurant was not busy, however, as usual the staff were very attentive and pleasant. We had a lovely meal, just two courses because that was what we wanted. Lovely to have my birthday voucher which reduced the bill by a tenner. Excellent evening.

Amazing food, the caramelised onions are to die for. We are not local to Newcastle but will definitely come here again when we next visit! The view of the square out of the window was great.

Having a Tastecard makes eating here great value. Pasta was slightly undercooked for how I like it, but that might be the traditional Italian way & I’m an uncultured swine! My Dad loved his pizza. Would definitely go back, service was excellent!

Really good food, it was 7:30pm and so quieter, good and helpful service taking allergies seriously. Food was a good portion, calories clearly stated, presentation of restaurant was clean and in good condition.

As a coeliac, eating out can be really hard. The gluten free menu here is AMAZING. Especially the pizzas, my non coeliac partner shared some with me and he couldn't taste a difference! Atmosphere is really nice, staff friendly and helpful. Def recommend for an affordable dinner night.

Dreadful. Took my 86 year old dad out for dinner there. Meal was undercooked and overpriced. The Pollo Milanese (breaded butterfly chicken breast) was basically from a cheap over-processed freezer pack…you get more taste and better value from the supermarket. And there was no wine glasses left apparently, so we had to drink our wine from dessert dishes. Jeez!

Portion is tiny, food was cold and tasteless , horrendous service arrived 45 minutes late . never again , do not recommend. Absolute rip off.

I would just like to thank the staff that were working yesterday. We went with my son who had a meltdown and my partner had to leave before he ate his food. Our waitress was so kind, and she boxed up my partners food for me and even gave him a free bottle of beer as he did not manage to drink his drink! Anyone with a child with additional needs will know how much it means when people are understanding and kind! Also the food, as always, was amazing!

Popped in for a light bite on a beautiful sunny day in Newcastle. Food was delicious, came to the table quick enough, wine was lovely. All the staff were very helpful and thank you to our server Mariyna who was super friendly and welcoming :)
