Ashna Kabab kurdish restaurant in Leicester

This is the worst kebab, I’ve ever had The salad was not fresh. The meat was well overcooked and not seasoned and the service was terrible. The naan bread was rockhard.

Very good place to eat with a nice environment, also the food has great taste lovely people and absolutely clean restaurant even their toilet well cleaned highly recommended. One love ashna

The food was delicious. All the meat was nice and tender, the house special dish of kofte balls was tasty and unique. Very good value for money and friendly staff.

Stopped by here for lunch with my children! Absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and on point! Full of flavour! And so tasty! I was shocked how cheap and reasonable the prices were! And the portions are very satisfying. I enjoyed everything! The kofta meatball special, the chicken Shish, lamb chops and rice juicy bursting with flavour! The lamb ouzi was lovely. My favourite is the amazing soups! Omg I love love love the soup!!! Overall the service was very friendly and attentive the staff made sure we had everything we need and if we needed any help they always available. It’s not the most glamorous type of restaurant but most certainly tastes way better than one!

Excellent quality of food, delicious soups, price is ridiculously cheap and wonderful friendly staff.

Food was decent however I was provided with wrong order, i asked for chicken leg 🍗 with bryani , the gave me white rice with ch.brest, when I told the guy who took my order he didn't care at all to change it. It was my first time and Never will I come here again.

First time eating Kurdish food was so lucky to find this place what a fantastic find. Some of the best food I've had at such a good price. The lamb qozy was delicious. Everything 10/10 BIG portions for the price, fully satisfied. Really friendly staff. Well done gentlemen!

We had a dinner here. We ordered mix chicken sheesh kebab and lamp sheesh with rice. I wasn't expecting sheesh kebabs to be fried on the oil, but unfortunately it was soaked on the oil both chicken and lamp sheeshs. One chicken sheesh one side was burnt out and wasn't edible. I asked the staff he was nice and brought another one (without saying sorry or anything). We had a complimentary soups which were amazing. Foods overall were very delicious and nicely presented but could have been a little more for what it's paid. Staff members respectful and restaurant was very clean with welcoming atmosphere but relatively small. Definitely worth trying it.

Truly fantastic restaurant - could not fault the food, the welcome, or the price. Everything we had was delicious. I would recommend the lamb biryani, the kobbeh, the hummus, the baklava, and the okra soup. Very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.

This place is so good, best meal I had in Leicester. Delicious rich and fresh food, big portions, super friendly service. Especially recommend the lamb biryani and kibbeh. We had a big lunch including soft drinks and tea for an amazing £21 for two. Make sure to try the soups too.

Lovely lunch here today, 2 mix shish, salad and naan, olives to start. Beautiful food, lovely friendly service and clients, clean , thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely return, great value for money too.

I’ve been eating at Ashna Kabab restaurant and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, their Iraqi food was truly amazing. The flavors were rich, authentic, and a delight to the taste buds. Additionally, both the restaurant and the food were exceptionally clean, which added to the overall pleasant ambiance. However, two aspects that left room for improvement were the speed of service and restaurant size. The restaurant was quite slow in terms of food preparation and delivery, which affected the overall dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant is quite small. Despite this drawback, the prices remained reasonable, offering good value for the quality of food. If you are willing to overlook the slow service, Ashna Kabab restaurant is a great choice for enjoying delicious Iraqi cuisine in a clean and inviting environment.

I ordered a shish kebab sandwich for take out. Order was prepared within minutes but unfortunately the kebab smelt of raw meat and I had to discard it. Staff seemed less attentive.

Amazing little gem of a place. We've had two different complimentary soups when we've been there.. both delicious.. the staff are super friendly, very welcoming and attentive. Held back on a 5 star because I feel portions could be abit more generous.. maybe that's just me.. the salad was great but could definitely be more and when we ordered a portion of chips with our meal.. I felt the amount didn't reflect what we paid.. we needed more. Other than that it's a place definitely worth checking out! We went late afternoon and there was loads of seating available. This place even has sumac on tap! Go check it out!

Visited yesterday with family. Owners were polite and welcoming. The food choices were simple and easy to order. Food arrived fairly quickly. Beautifully presented. Lamb quzy was delicious, tender and portion size was perfect. Children loved the chicken shish with naan. We were given dolma to try, and it was delicious too. Definitely shall visit again from Rugby.

Great kurdish dining restaurant that is halal and very friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious. The grilled meat and kebabs where so juicy and tender. The lamb qozy was to die for. The meat would just melt in your mouth. On top of that staff was very friendly and pricing was much cheaper to many other places. Just remember to ask staff not to use vinegar on salad. Other than that this is now one of my top places to dine in Leicester. There are limited seating so the place can accomodate around 30 people at once. There is free on street parking but limited space and for limited hours if parked before 6pm. Highly recommend this place and the lamb qozy dish. Normally I don't review for restaurants, but this place just went above and beyond my expectations. the food was amazing and great testy and in very good condition .%100 would return. I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could.

Had lunch today. Top quality food, especially the spicy chicken kebab with Biriyani rice. Complementary soup was awesome.

Staffs are friendly and the place is condensed. Place is very clean. Very male dominated, as I have given up the idea to sit and eat with mywife. Lack of privacy. Took a take away. Food is tasty, but nothing unique about its flavour or look. Its boring and similar to any takeaway. Staff not introduce or try to sell or offer me something unique as even they known that iam new to this place.

Terrible customer service when ordering take out collection really un professionall .I’ve been asked what i want😂 so i told them my order After that, they just hang up on me, without saying how long is gonna take and how much is the total to pay?

Finest food we ever had. Served free salad platter with hummus and kurdish bread along with 3 different soups in starter complimentary. Such an awesome kebab and meat tenders. Wings were also delicious. Specially the owner come and asked about the requirement and se4ved wonderfully. Will definitely drive from Oxford again for the food

Pleasantly surprised how good this place is; Delicious soups & starters, houmous came with crisp thin nibbles/fried pitta? that went well together; so tender lamb in biriyani with unique taste, lamb slightly rubbery in mixed grill yet wings and other kebabs were tender though. Went for normal usual spice level yet they do ask whether u want more spicy. Enjoyed the fresh bread/thin Kurdish naan. Relatively cosy small place & very clean including toilets. Friendly service especially Muhammad. Close to city centre. Mum enjoyed too and she is hard to please ....Will definitely eat hear again and do recommend.

Oh my goodness..by far this restaurant has the best food here in leicester!!! I usually order lamb with rice and I know it is very fresh..tender and so flavourful. I just stick with this place now for lunch because of the outstanding quality of their food, prices and variety of beautiful kurish/Turkish cuisine. Staff are always at hand and so friendly. You won't be disappointed 😌. I highly recommend this hidden gem!!

It is a good restaurant, very clean, tasty food and good price. We ordered mixed Grill, chicken wings, rice, Pepsi, Chai tea(two OD each) - all costed £18. Chai tea was really good. Staff are wonderful. It is near Haymarket, a good place to eat and shop.
