Pre ordered. Had to ring to chase order. They couldn't recognise address. Ordered from here for years always amazing. Delivery driver very rude and intimidating. This was an online order. Where I was penalised for ordering a mixed tikka bhuna. He said not to do it again as king prawns in dish and extra. This isn't stated online. I appreciate they are very popular and busy, however made to feel like I did something wrong. I paid cash so if know was king prawns would have happily paid the extra.

Superb! I can't count the number of time I have visited but the food is fab. Staff are lovely and even when super busy, very friendly. There is always a great atmosphere too. The food is very tasty, well presented, excellently cooked - it really is a little gem

Been going here since they opened, and can honestly say, would not go anywhere else. Staff very helpful and friendly, food always great,, even during busy times they always take the time to come and check everything is ok. They never rush you during busy times either, which is always a bonus, as sone places are only interested in getting you served and out the door. Highly recommend. Prices very reasonable too.

Service was very good food was hot and came out fast the starters were very good but mains were OK on the upside you can bring ur own booze and food isn't expensive

Called in Sunday, the 15th . This review is solely on the food Out with freinds . 11 of us dined, Food arrived quite promptly which surprised me . All yhe carries had been made with a base gravy . Shockingly bland . Not even a sprig of corriander to make it look slightly appealing waste of money . Avoid at all costs

Ordered from here for the last 5 years and never had a bad meal, always excellent standard and delivered on time. Whatever we order is fresh using quality ingredients.

Lovely Indian food served here, the staff were helpful in choosing. The Tarka Dhal was amazing. Note they do NOT serve alcohol but you can take your own and there's a Tesco over the road which has you covered.

The best Indian restaurant and takeaway in Bury. The food is fantastic. Very friendly staff and good service. Restaurants is unlicensed, so you bring your own alcohol. Tesco express is across the road if you need to buy your wine or beer.

Overall the good was pretty authentic. But the speed of the service is far too fast. 3 courses in 50 minutes. I asked for lamb tikka but received chicken tikka. Flavours were good. Probably wouldn't return due to feeling rushed.

Some of the food was lovely, some not so great. The meat samosas really were not nice and £1 per poppadom almost killed me. The curries were brill however the portion size of the rice and chips wasn’t great. We found the servers quite abrupt and really rushing when serving the food which made us all quite uncomfortable. I probably wouldn’t dine in again, maybe get a takeaway.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was incredible! We've been a few times and it has never failed us.

Slow for delivery but that’s not a problem if the food is good. Both curry’s full with Oil, very bland tasting and not the best portion sizes. A shame really. Ate from here a year or so ago and it was brilliant then.

We ( darts team ) go here occasionally & the only downside is the size of the place, when there are 10-12 of us it gets a little cramped. The food it quality.

Best Indian takeout/restaurant in Bury. Even better, if you're eating in, the no licence means you can take your favourite tipple, meaning a reasonable priced menu and not being stung for your drinkies....... perfect! (Update 10.02.2023)Still the best!

Hi, I think asha has gone done hill ordered take away missed out separate salad and the poperdoms were staley been like this for a while you want to make sure you take care with your customers there are your living.

Return visit with friends, as previously excellent standard of food & superb service from Abdul & the team, Mr Khan also in attendance to make sure everyone is looked after. Some of the new dishes are amazing & for value can't be beaten. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Had a lovely meal here tonight... it was a last minute thing so we hadn't booked a table, the food was outstanding. Curries gorgeous and a brilliant size portion, we had a curry each and brought half home each. Mushroom rice to die for, naan bread lovely. Brill that you can bring your own alcoholic drinks too. We'll definitely be back.

12.8.22. Home delivery. Ordered 2 mixed chutneys, got more chutney than an army would need! Ordered 2 onion bhaji, got 1 + a portion of chips. Ordered 3 pilau rice, got 5! Got a mixed tikka with meat so tough I am resoling my shoes tomorrow. Mixed korma very basic! All for the bargain price of £62.65! This takeaway has gone a long way downhill in recent months.

I loved the food its a nice place to go for a family meal . It's not the quickest service ever I love there desserts although there is not of a choice.A big problem is that it did not look like the picture . It's went up in price but still doable ,it's clean but needs a bit of sprucing up .The portion sizes are bigger the the usual portion sizes .Good service and I had a good time.

Myself and my girlfriend are returning customers. Everytime the service is amazing. Be sure to try the specials..... Wow! Each visit we try a different dish and have never been disappointed. Being your own booze is also massive benefit, especially with a tesco express across the road. The Asha is the best Indian, great food, great people, nice ambiance in the restaurant, all good. The menu is great and varied but the Bangalore dishes are the real stand out, exclusive to the Asha, great flavour and quality, a must have! You really can’t go wrong here and the overall experience is hard to better.

Just ordered veg curries and kebabs, meat tasted stale , the curries had undercooked potatoes and cabbage in them, and were totally bland , went in the bin , what a waste of 35 quid!!

Visited for the first time on Saturday (30 April) superb food cooked fresh, with very good service. I had mixed kebab starter, the meat was cooked to perfection, then had chicken and lamb madras- which was fantastic! Would definitely recommend a visit, I will definitely be making another visit.

Probably the best Indian I've had when they are on point it's been a bit different last few times but still very nice the nawabi is beautiful.

Come here once every couple of months, never been disappointed. Great value for money and food is always fresh and tasty. Would particularly recommend the keema naan and balti is superb.

We have used Asha for takeaway a number of times and have always enjoyed the food. We decided to order for New Years Eve and planned ahead by pre-ordering online. We booked the food early evening (around 5) to be delivered for 8. At 8:50 we hadn’t received our food and so spoke to the restaurant who assured us it was out for delivery which was fine as we understood it is busy on NYE. At 9:30 we still had not received our food and spoke to the restaurant who said it would be with us soon as the delivery was going to BL2 before BL8, when asked how long that would take the man asked us how long does it take to get from BL2 to BL8. We explained that it was now too late to eat and if it did not arrive in the next 10 minutes we would cancel the order which the man said he understood and apologised. At 10:10 the delivery man knocked on the door. When my husband spoke to the delivery driver he explained why we didn’t want the food, the driver said he had come straight from the restaurant and had not been to BL2 so was a bit taken aback when we refused the food. It is a shame as the food is good but unfortunately we will be taking our Buisness elsewhere.

Use this place a lot and usually pretty good but tonight, no. Getting the order wrong by missing an item off and also getting the price given over the phone wrong to what was charged at the door was nothing compared to the abysmal quality of the starters. The prawns in the Prawn puri were chewy and dry, not edible and so ended up in the dogs bowl. Nearly 4 quid each and they were absolutely awful. Have had a quality issue in the past and rang them about it and just got an ‘oh sorry’ no effort at all to put it right so time to find a new takeaway. Disappointed.

SUPERB!! If you want a fantastic proper curry with great staff then look no further. We usually get a takeaway but I’ve been tonight with my dad and it was brilliant. They’ll do anything for you, nothing is too much to ask and the food quality is second to none. We are from Bradford so we know a good curry and this is the place to go.

I had a chicken balti naga and it was remarkable Definitely going to be returning with the family. Amazing time.

The waiter that served us definitely needed some customer services training! He didn’t check back after food was served (it was a Thursday night so very quiet), one of the curry’s didn’t taste right (tasted really sweet). When the waiter came to clear the table I advised him of this, the curry was all there didn’t eat any of it. He then asked me if I had every had a Samber before which yes I had many times. He then said it was advertised as a sweet and sour dish were I showed him the menu on my phone it definitely didn’t. He then said I should have told him he would have got it re cooked, I explained he wasn’t about and that he didn’t check in, he then said I should have found him and then wrapped this all up with “that’s how it’s cooked here “ ummm oks! No sorry, no offer of a refund I would have taken another one re cooked and took it home, oh well! Paid the bill and left. On a positive there chicken pakoras we’re amazing, not enough to return though !

When visiting friends in the area my must go to is The Asha. Every dish I have tried is prepared superbly & consists of excellent ingredients. The welcome from Abdul & Mr Khan is always warm & they will advise on dishes being considered. Also for value for money this restaurant is hard to beat Well done to all at The Asha & I look forward to my next visit.

As a new take away customer at this restaurant I am so impressed that I feel compelled to write a review... Where to start?? Extremely clean premises with welcoming front of house. All the food was excellent, fresh, tasty and well presented. The side salad and complementary fresh fruit salad was just that. Quality and appearance was fabulous... I love the loyalty system it shows that the restaurant owners are passionate about return customers: and obviously aware of the enormous amount of competition locally. The Asha is definitely going to be the only place I will be purchasing Indian take away food from moving forward. Excellent service, amazing food and a company that so proactively values the customer. Thank you Asha!!!

After a day of child minding our grand kids we recover with a well earned takeaway. Our place of choice is Asha. The food is always amazing but tonight the Chilli Chicken Masala was absolutely to die for. Fantastic guys thank you do much.

Has several takeaways from here recently after being advised by a neighbour that it had changed hands and was much improved since my last review. Tonight however it returned to its original terribleness. 2 hours and 15 minutes for an online takeaway ordered on their own website to arrive after 2 phone. 1st call we were told it had left, 2nd phone call 20 minutes later and he went off to find out where it was and then put the phone down. When it arrived the pot of lime pickle contained about a dessert spoon full. I ordered a mixed biriani, no prawns to be found and the lamb was like shoe leather. It was full of peppercorns and cloves which I nearly broke my teeth on. No salad with it unless you count a slice of cucumber and a cherry tomato on the top, curry sauce that came with it was horrid. Hubby had the lamb tikka naga, also shoe leather lamb, went in the bin and won’t be going back.

Just had a takeaway from Asha. We had the set meal B for 2 people and there was plenty for 3 of us. Lovely food. Beautifully cooked. Ready on time. Loved the saag paneer ( cheese cooked in spinach) Thank you Asha!! X

The best curry house in bury !!!

Horrendous, I had the worst customer experience when ordering. They left half my order argued it was my fault it wasn't delivered and told me that “ they wouldn’t deliver it till tomorrow because they were busy” they delivered the second half of my order 3 days later. Not happy one bit! The food is mediocre. To top it off the nann breads were black. I don’t ever write a bad review. But this service and food quality was beyond bad! Can’t say I will ever return.

Tried this place for the first time. Got a mix started and a few varieties of kebabs for the family. Have to say the food is stunning. Very clean and salad was fresh and crunchy. Cant wait to go back!

We have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and have never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. We have always felt welcome and never felt pushed to finish our meal. We had a great time there on New Years Eve and will certainly be returning next time we are in Bury

Travelled up from Hertfordshire to see friends in Bury, only place to go for dinner has to be the Asha. Worth the 220 mile trip, quality of food & unbelievable value for money, served with a welcoming smile by Abdul & his excellent team.Enjoyed it so much visited the following night as well. Has to be the best of its type in the area,looking forward to my next visit.

We were staying in Bury and wanted something to eat. I looked up restaurants on trip adviser this was only 1/2 mile from the hotel and had good reviews do we tried it out and found the reviews well deserved. The best Nan bread I've had in ages everything was tasty and hot service was excellent!Will visit again when I'm in the area!

We’ve had several take aways over the past few months and this place is consistently good. The food is always flavoursome and there’s always plenty spice too!The most recent take away was a delivery and it was on time and didn’t take long at all. We will return!

I love the food from here and do think it’s one of the best take aways, what let’s it down is the delivery service. Every single order has arrived at least 30 mins later than expected but 1.5hrs even on a Saturday is just unacceptable. If this is the case stop taking orders.

We had family staying nearby and we were all craving a decent curry so we thought we'd give Asha a try. Really glad we did!Everything was delicious not one complaint. I had the garlic chicken tikka shaaee, got to say one of the best curry's I've had. We generally head to more local restaurants for an Indian meal, but recently we have been very disappointed. Really glad to have come across Asha and will definitely be back!

This restaurant is one of my sisters favourite places also handy as she lives very near,we had been threatening for some time to go out together for a good curry.Some other friends decided to join us to make the occasion more enjoyable.On first entering the premises noticed that it was in two halves one dealing with takeaway orders and the other the restaurant which was larger than it appears outside.The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol so you take your own and glasses for the drinks quickly arrived with the menus.The food when it arrived was very well presented and tasted as good as it looked.The times I have driven past this place and never given it a thought well from now on think I will be certainly going more often.Its one of Tottingtons little gems.

Best Indian takeaway about, option meal for two is well worth the money, chicken tikka madras with extra coriander is the best.
