Thank you to the ladies in motherwell asda cafe. I ordered 2 kids meals for £1 each to take away, staff could not have been more helpful, polite and pleasant. Thank you all. My grandchildren loved their meals

The food was over cooked, the panini was dry and hard to eat. The chips were cold too, the delivery slot kept changing and going up in time too

If the staff in here have been on a food handling course then they must have slept through it. Mug of coffee handed to me with the server holding the rim of the mug with her fingertips. This is after her serving up my greasy breakfast then touching other kitchen items and the till. I pointed this out and the tumbleweed passed by. Food is awful and I left it in disgust. I have made previous complaints in years gone by and for a short while things changed. For a lot of people it's convenient, I just wish the franchise that owns it got their act together. My advice is go elsewhere it's disgusting and only a matter of time till it closes down.

Found the cafe to be littered with dirty dishes and trays. Food was not of a good quality for a supremarket cafe. Have used much better.

My local Asda has what I thought to be the worst café ever. Wrong, tho almost three hundred miles away the food is exactly the same standard. How come Morisons can get it so right and Asda so wrong?

Unfortunately this cafe is not great at all. The food neither looks appetising nor fresh. The seating area was quite dirty with many tables still to be cleared. Staff not overly friendly & assume you've visited before & know where everything is such as coffee machines (yes there are several different ones) & cutlery etc. We've stopped in an asda cafe before elsewhere and whilst you don't expect fine dining you do expect some quality and elsewhere this has been the case but sadly not here. Honestly I wouldn't even stop here for a coffee.

I visit Galashiels about 2 or 3 times a year. Rarely eat there, but recently did a round of the supermarkets as it would be too late to shop when I got home. Started in Asda, and as I hadn't had lunch I tried their cafe. To be fair it was about 3pm - but this was no excuse for the poor selection of half-dried remains that faced me at the counter. Hungry as I was, I fancied nothing I saw, and left to eat at a small cafe nearby. The Asda cafe itself is the standard formica-ed arrangement that supermarkets seem to think appeals to us. None too tidy, and I wasn't impressed by the notice asking customers to clear their own tables! If I want to clear a table I'll eat at home!! Apart from which - if tables aren't been cleared by staff, how often are they being cleaned? Staff seemed in short supply and not particularly interested (as might I be if I had to work in that place.) I won't be back to this establishment.Coincidentally, an hour later on my way home, I passed the Berwick-upon-Tweed branch of Asda - a much smaller store. I've eaten there before and been quite happy with the fare and service. I went in there and it was a marked difference - keen staff and a quite nice cheap meal. Not exactly haute cuisine but good value for money. Except.... In the interval since my last visit (a month or so) they too now have a tray-rack and notice asking customers to to clear their own tables. Just not acceptable, and I told the staff that despite their good service and a nice meal, I wouldn't be back as long as clearing tables is a requirement. I'm a customer of Asda's, not an employee.I just don't know what the mangement of Asda think they're up to, but the words 'goose' and 'golden egg' come to mind.

The breakfast was rubbish and I have tried it more than once to give it the benefit of the doubt .With poor quality ingredients, rock hard black pudding, cheapo sausage and the eggs were also rock hard. The food lies too long in the trays and dries up.Would never go back.

Motherwell ASDA Cafe---Food dehydrated, staff un-knowledgeable on what their item breakfasts should actually entail. Cooked my Vegetarian sausage in the same "deep fryer" as meat products are cooked despite me stating I was a STRICT Vegetarian. Watched them re-heat items on the servery back in the deep fat fryer. Sorry but if they have gone cold they should be put in the bin NOT reheated! I know it is just a supermarket Cafe, but the rules should still apply!

I am quite a regular visitor to the cafe in Asda for snacks or lunches. Decided to try the roast beef for a treat and on purchasing roast beef and roast potato dinner with a medium fanta and a slice of carrot cake u almost choked when the price was £7.80. Ok my bad some of the prices were on display but I could have walked quarter of a mile and had an all you can eat buffet at the Hup Lee restaurant down the road for buttons extra. On getting the food to the table it was lukewarm and processed meat not so nice. Five mins into my meal the food was cold and inedible. Get real Asda and I have now been told Asda stores take no responsibility for their cafes so a refund would not have been on the books. So everyone I see venturing towards the cafe will be getting told of my experience and directed towards Toni Macaronis two minutes away who offer waiter service and more importantly they serve hot food.

I support someone who shops in asda longwell green, we have a short time to eat and shop. The food, well what can I say, the staff are very pleasant but the food, left under the heaters too long, the food is rubbery and by the time you've queued to pay, got your coffee (which is ok) the food is cold. Why o why don't asda cafe take a leaf out of sainsburys and morrisons book and cook food to order, price wise it's about the same and much nicer. I've filled out countless 'feedback' forms in store with my e-mail address, and asking if anybody reads them, to no avail, I've also complained inshore, but what's the point? Shame on you asda cafe you bring asda's good name down.

Typical supermarket restaurant food, but value for money couldn't be beaten. £4.25 for a huge breakfast, and allowed to swap products. Dread to think of the calorie count, but once in a while as a treat will do me

Although I do have my own personal issues with Asda in Motherwell I will say that the cafe (which I believe is out sourced to an outside company) does offer value for money. What you pay for is what you get really, it is cheap so the food isn't outstanding but isn't poor either! It is somewhere I would go if it was convenient at the time, not somewhere I would go out the way to go out my way for, noticed it is also popular with the area's older generation but not somewhere I would find myself regularly.

The room was comfortable and ideal for a one night stay, and I enjoyed a nice pizza in the restaurant that evening. However, breakfast was advertised to start at 7 am. I arrived promptly at 7 as the first customer, but my order wasn’t taken until 7:10, and the food didn’t arrive until 7:25 only to be served cold. Most people have limited time in the morning, so if breakfast is advertised for 7 am, it should be ready to serve at that time. Although I had a positive experience overall, it's often the last impression that sticks, and I believe you can do better.
