Si no eres 100% hipster, probablemente no seas bienvenido aquí.

I went for breakfast with my colleagues one morning of May 2019. There were the 5 of us, we ordered 2 latte and 3 cappuccino and 1 brioche. The guy at the counter didn't have any clue on how to prepare them: he prepared one by one....one every 5 minutes! And he served us with one drink every time he had one ready! It took 25 minutes for him to get us all our drinks! So we couldn't enjoy to have our breakfast together. Plus the coffee was very bitter, most likely too toasted. And the result is that latte and cappuccino had a very bad taste. Even if you try to add sugar, you cannot solve the problem. Or maybe they don't wash the coffee machine properly every day? No idea. This is not the way to serve people, anyway. A bunch of clients should be served within few minutes (above all if there are not other clients waiting, and that day the place had only other two people sat down - so there wasn't any issue to respect the right timing for serving) and all together in a tray maybe. The owner should provide his own staff with hospitality courses and teach them how to make coffees properly in the shortest time. And the coffee should be one of the best in town if you claim to be an "artisan roast", not one of the worst.

This is one of my favourite places since I came to Glasgow. I am a hot chocolate fan. In this cafe, they have different and unique flavours of hot chocolate. I love the taste...just soooo good. I like cardamon and cinnamon hot chocolate, and also lavender hot chocolate. I also love their banana bread, and it tastes good... When I was away, I missed this place. A little cafe with friendly staffs and make me feel like I am home. They are just excellent. Oh, for coffee lover, you must take this place into account. They are really good...

Now I’m all for the hipster, trendy, artisan places to go, for eating or drinking, BUT, this place is just dirty !!! The coffee and tea was no better or worse than many other places, the brownie we had was good, but the cafe itself was just unclean and theres no excuse for it. One of the staff took her break during our time there and proceeded to take her jumper off and give her hair/scalp a good scratch and shake, before eating and going back to work, never washed her hands !!! The toilet was just manky, no idea how long the cafe has been open but the door and walls didn't look like they had been cleaned in a long time ! The counter and prep area were clean and tidy, just a shame the rest of it looked like a squat.

It's not hard to get good coffee in Glasgow's west end. What set's Artisan Roast aside is it's unique vibe, with it's low-light atmosphere, perfectly suited playlist of lofi hip-hop, and its sophisticated interior design. Don't worry, you get your quality coffee that's locally sourced. But its the ambience that gives Artisan it's advantage over the intensity of its competitors. In that sense, Gibson St must be a tough place to set up shop, but Artisan has well and truly earned its place. As an aspiring entrapreneur, I need a place to escape into deep work as I plan to take over the world of creative business. I'm yet to find somewhere better in Glasgow and my productivity just seems to skyrocket when I work there. Ideal if you're a student or freelance professional.

When you go somewhee just once but know it's gonna be your new favourite spot... I came for a post-exam lunch and ordered an oak milk mocha and soup with bread. The prices are very reasonable for the location- no more than £7 for all of that! The coffee shop itself is a warm, cosy and wholesome environment with lots of cosy, old wooden seating. The upstairs is where we sat as it's quiet but with a good soundtrack to chat over. Service was quick and the staff are lovely, polite, chatty people. :)))

I like to go to this place because the atmosphere is great and I love the artisanal brioches that they prepare. The brioches are very good but last time I went they basically killed mine..they put it into the toaster and instead of being soft and fluffy, it was pressed like it was a French toast. Unfortunately the coffe has always been bitter and not good, as the average coffe in Glasgow.

The black coffee I had here was the worst I have had in Glasgow, very bitter with a strange aftertaste. The cup sizes were at least half the normal size for the same price as other establishments. I only drink black coffee, perhaps the flavour does not seem as bad with milk and sugar. I was very surprised to see positive reviews.

Very disappointed and confused as to when this tea room is actually open until. It seems to be whatever mood they’re in. When you Google it says they close at 5:30 on a Thursday and on trip advisor, open until 6:30 on Thursdays. I was with 1 friend and along with 6 other possible customers we proceeded up the stairs at 5:05 to be told they were closing early today? Was it just that day or in general when open until 5:30 they close at 5:05? We said we only wanted a cup of tea no food and would be done by 5:30 but not interested. If you go into a shop or supermarket that closes at 5:30 they are open to 5:30 not 5:05 very unusual managing of a business.
