Arthur's Cafe in Brent

We've been in town from the U.S. visiting family and have been to Arthur' Cafe twice. The food is so good. If you haven't tried it before, get the breakfast with black pudding(blood sausage). It is different, but tasty. And their hot tea is british style at its finest.

Friendly service! Food was delicious, we ordered a coffee, mocha, hot chips, bacon and egg sandwich and a slice of carrot cake (which we ate before the main meal)! Great prices! Indoor and outdoor seating! Take away boxes available! Would highly recommend making this your local cafe!

We saw this little cafe while on our way out and thought to try it. One of the best decisions we could have made prices are very good staff are incredibly friendly and the food was amazing.

We stopped there finally having seen this place a few times. We felt a great family run atmosphere as soon as we entered. I ordered a liver, bacon, onions and homemade chips (haven't had one for so long I was so looking forward to it!). It was outstanding! My husband had a roast lamb dinner. Both meals were freshly cooked, piping hot, the lamb was tender. Then we both had an apple pie with ice cream and cream and a bread and butter pudding with cream. The latter was warm and spicy just how we like it! A little gem in north West London not to be missed! We'll be back! Thank you so much!

The food is very good for the price. Somebody has also minded the decoration: they have gone for the traditional tasca loo. it's not usual to find a fellow galician in London, but here is Tino. The place is spacious and airy fir London. My only complaint is the really small toilet cubicle, but they have two, and once again, this is London, and here space is at a premium.

Traditional café (pronounced kaff). Food was spot on, staff were delightful and really decent prices too. Not sure where they get their eggs from but they were *chefs kiss* delish. Today I just happened to be passing but I would for sure go out of my way to come back here for a satisfying fry up.

First time went to the cafe with my friend customer service and the customers happy environment. I rate them 💯 percent. The breakfast on point from the toast. bacon, sausages, baked beans all cooked well and tasty the chips was so delicious I wanted more. I will always come on a Saturdays for my breakfast and lunch love this place.

My favorite place. Nice location with additional seating outside. Great coffee, lovely food, but what tops it off are the people. Friendly, helpful and above all good humoured.

Food was fine. But the hygiene and service was pretty shocking. My six year old son went to the toilet and fell over and hit his head on the floor because the floor was greasy. I told the staff and they disagreed with me about the floor being slippery. Place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for ages. The didn’t have ice cream for the milkshakes either so I had to go to Tesco to buy one

The place to be. Full stop. Arthur's caf is a gem, run by fantastic staff, with a no-nonsense menu that hits the spot every time. Nothing quite like it in the early hours or if you need a headache to clear

Lots of choice, reasonably priced, great place. It's been there since the 1950's and has stood the test of time for a reason! It's reputation precedes it, making this review redundant, but it's more of a statement than anything.

Me and my friend came here for a late breakfast and we was very disappointed with the waiting time for our food 50 mins went by and I approached the front desk. I patiently waited for my turn then the cashier completely ignored I was there and served the woman behind me because she was paying for her food, which I found very disrespectful. When I had asked how long our food would take as I was already waiting for 50 mins - I was told “well it’s busy today so you will have to wait” after she told the man infront of me that his food will be ready in 15 mins. After this my food came about 15 mins later (over an hour in total). Then found egg shells still on my egg- I personally hate complaining but this was ridiculous I then complained about this I was responded with “well it’s not going to kill you- you still ate your food”. Firstly I understand if it is a stressful morning and orders may go wrong but the response of this was outrageous and even had the audacity to say - “I can take about £4 off your bill only.” - “that’s all I can do” so you will have to pay.

The food I had was delicious: sausage not too salty, bacon was juicy, and the potatoes were tasty. What really puts this place over the top is the service and friendly faces. They really made me feel welcomed and more like family than a customer. This does not happen often, if at all nowadays. A hidden gem for sure!

Great place to have an English breakfast. Found this gem on maps here and wanted to try it out. It's the perfect place to start the day, the kind of restaurant visited by locals where prices are the right one, taste is great and the service top quality. The portions were quite large and since we tried many types of breakfast options, we could try everything. I would recommend it to anyone visiting that wants to try local stuff, not tourist traps. We paid 48£ including tip for English breakfast for 5 people! Bonus: located just beside the overground station which makes transport so easy.

Fantastic breakfast and cuppa with a lovely sidewalk seating area to enjoy the sun and breeze. The man and woman running the front were so lovely and I felt like a regular from the community! Highly recommend!

scrambled eggs on toast was very bad, do not recommend. The food was lukewarm when it arrived on the table, the bread was barely toasted and the eggs looked like cottage cheese (tasted worse), no amount of salt and pepper could save it, the chips were very solid 3/10 the two stars are for the good service and nice vibe of the cafe

There was four of us waiting at the entrance to be seated and at no point did anyone acknowledge us , staff just kept walking past ignoring us 🤷‍♀️, after ten minutes my friend asked do you have table for four which we could plainly see there was one table free which had been since we arrived , she told us to wait and she would find out , we were then shown the table and from then on the experience and food was very good , my point is the staff should always no matter what is going on should acknowledge customers waiting to be seated ,even if we had to wait it’s the first thing in hospitality you do , give eye contact and do not ignore us

This is a simple clean cafe that serves traditional cafe food with a few extras on the menu The food is outstanding for the price and the service is second to none (at any price). The owners seem to have been there forever and seem happy to work hard to stay. I had thought it was a hidden treasure but so very pleased when I saw others have given it good reviews.

Went their for Breakfast with a friend, I have been their before , Nice Mediterranean atmosphere , Easy going, ordered, 2 eggs ,tomato, sausage,bacon,toast cup of tea, came to £6.20 not bad, the Hp sauce bottles replaced with cheaper sauce which skimped on quality, another thing the sausage was cheap and not tasty, rest was nice, Its quiet and comfortable, worth a visit.

Fantastic range of english breakfasts, not many traditional greasy spoons about anymore so this one is a gem, Their veggie english is my favourite.

I don't live in London but my best pal lives not far from Arthur's (or Arturo as I call it). I have been a customer for nearly 15 years and every time I come down to London I make sure to pop round and have their omelette or their breakfast (they stopped doing the veal escalopes with ham and cheese a while back). It might not look like the poshest or most hipster place (considering the area) but you will not get a better deal (food/price). The two ladies are a hoot, I am Italian and they speak Italian (and they are lovely). I just love this cafe. It's a greasy spoon! If you want your posh breakfast walk half a mile down the road and spend three times the price. Feel free to do it, i certainly won't

This cafe has been here for 40 years. It is basic and has an extensive menu. A HUGE jacket potato with loads of beans can be yours for just £2.95. A bargain.

Usually I have a jacket potato or similar but today I went for a roast lamb dinner with Yorkshire Pudding. There was a lot of home cooked lamb, tender and not dry plus mashed potatoes and three vegetables. It was a massive plate of delicious food for £8.

Typical "greasy spoon" place... One of the few you still get a breakfast+tea for a fiver. All the usual combination of eggs and beans... plus so more easy going traditional english dishes.

I had a chicken salad here for the first time today. You get a huge plate of fresh salad with a breast of chicken plus coleslaw and potato salad for under £6. Great quality and value.

Nunca comí nada pero el desayuno aquí, así que no sé cómo son sus cenas, pero lo he tenido mucho que sabía luvly y buen servicio. Esta zona es muy burguesía y ahora precios más locales reflejan que este lugar es maravilloso, pero la relación calidad-precio. Altamente recomendado.

Fuimos por el Día de la madre de todos los días. Mi hermano muerto recientemente. Él había pasado de mencionar a mi madre mientras en el hospicio, que desayunamos aquí la mañana encontró se puso el cáncer. Me dijo que tenía un rollo de huevo n de salchichas. Sabía que estaba muriendo, pero mi madre dijo a él, así que iremos allí en el Día de la madre. Lamentablemente murió antes de poder mantener ese nombramiento. Bien ¿cómo puedo juzgar este entorno? Un lugar extraño realmente, dos señoras mayores y un hombre joven corriendo del lugar. Éramos un grupo de 3 adultos y 3 niños. Una de las mujeres tomó el pedido. Carne asada, pollo asado, cebollas, varios hígado n baguettes. Los seis comidas llegaron a horas diferentes. La última llegando un completo 15 minutos después de la primera. Todas las comidas eran apenas comestible. Tomate ketchups más barato de barato. . Puaj! Patatas asadas que claramente hervidos y luego fritos para darles un color. . . Repugnante. Todo era un problema, aunque nuestras peticiones básicas y educado. Podría tenemos extra mayonesa por favor? ¿Hay alguna salsa de menta? Vasos para bebidas de nuestro sucio. Horrible decoración antigua y lúgubres. Un calcetín en el medio de la zona del comedor? Volar de roaming. Oh mi era horrible. Pedí la factura, mi mujer me dijo el personal la comida estaba fatal. Argumentaron atrás en tandem. No es agradable. Mi madre llorando en el Día de la madre = no es bueno. Recibimos un 30% de descuento. Honestamente no me pareció la comida era digna de un centavo, pero no me gusta drama y me sentí rechazo a pagar habría reunido con nada de lucha, ya que estábamos rodeados de más personal que no tenía al principio encontramos, tenemos una en casa que sólo tu perro rottweiler gira su nariz en Banana's. Cuando nos fuimos mi hija de 10 años afirmó "no comer incluso Zeus Daddy" que la comida no Dam justo darling! "EVITAR A TODA COSTA! !

Sólo un fantástico café que no tome el mickey con los precios. Excelente comida casera siempre fresca y rápida personal amable. . . . . se debe ir. . . . Me encanta un desayuno, una hamburguesa o golpeando! Lo que quieras comer lo hacen. Las cenas son deliciosos espaguetis a la boloñesa es una! . . E incluso sirve alcohol! Precioso con mi comida. . . . . Es un café superior, superior, personal comida de primera categoría. . . . Recomiendo Arthur's Café a la estación de altura kensal. . . . .

Yo vengo aquí para el almuerzo la mayoría de las semanas y nunca me decepciona. He revisado este lugar hace un año y todavía uno de los mejores café de calidad en Londres y sé un montón de lugares para comprar comida barata.

Abitavo vicino questo cafe ed era abitudine per me fare colazione qui, l'ambiente è bello e i dipendenti sono simpatici e disponibili. Servono il tipico english breakfast in diverse tipologie e tutte ad un prezzo ragionevole, io ero solito prendere il piatto con uova, patatine, salsiccia, bacon e fagioli e mi riempiva per tutta la giornata spendendo solo 5 pound. Fantastico!

We stumbled across this place after Kensel Green didn't have any trains and had to head up to Kendal rise. The place was perfect really good breakfast and really reasonable prices cannot recommend enough

I have been here few years ago and was amazing. Today we visited again and breakfast was delicious. The owners are always friendly and we felt really welcome.Is located just outside kensal Rise station with few tables outside which was a bonus specially in a hot day.

I have been eating here pretty regularly for over twenty years. This is a no nonsense, straight forward cafe with lovely service. The food is consistent and the menu remains as it did all those years ago. A local staple.

I have been on holiday to Clacton and have experienced a number of basic cafes. On my way home I popped in here for my usual meal and was glad to be back in Kensal Rise getting some great food at a very reasonable price.

Okay you want a original cafe in London but can't find one only a "coffee shop"try this cafe been here for years old guy owns it is a east end gent whit family for staff by the looks of it proper food clean and fresh inside any way get down to kings land road East London for a good treat enjoy

Met some friends in Arthu'rs as I remembered it as a convenient location - last went in here about 50 years ago when it was actually run by Arthur.It is twice as big as it used to be and the interior looks a little like a mediterranean taverna rather than a typical London cafe. The food is quite good, there is plenty of it and it's quite cheap. Service was quick and friendly. If I still lived near it I'd probably use it again.

We go there on a regular basis. If you want a typical English café/breakfast that's the place. There are several English breakfast options and it is very good value for money, plus the staff is very friendly. We have taken a couple of foreign friends there and they have loved it.
