Arthur Hooper's in Southwark

We just had a couple of mains, both really good. Bravo! Aparently I need at least 100 characters and that is still only 97.

Delicious food, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Fabulous! The restaurant is just beside Borough Market and handy for the Menier Theatre.

Came here for dinner with friends. Nice location off borough market. Fairly busy and a good vibe, nice music. Food was nice, steak good, hake ok, spaghetti ok. But just ok, nothing to shout about. Quite expensive for what you get. Service was ok. I think the waitress was in a grump, not very attentive or helpful. Asked for our napkins whilst we were still sat at the table finishing our drinks which was weird. Not sure I’d rush back.

Called in on a frantic pre Christmas Saturday afternoon at BM. We needed a moment to just breath and feel reinvigorated, and fell by sheer luck on this lovely little sanctuary Lovely warm welcome and service, a cool ambience, stylish and calm. We kicked back with a lovely bottle of house wine , and a fantastic cheese board.

The whole experience was lovely, from the atmosphere to attentive staff and absolutely delicious food. I still dream of that bursts!

Popped in for a light lunch and we were so pleasantly surprised by the food. Delicious, with a small carafe of nice wine. We shared the burrata and samphire salad, ricotta and fig salad and patatas bravas. Couldn’t have enjoyed the dishes anymore and would definitely return here. Service extremely friendly too.

What a great place. Booked at random because it had space but was very glad I did. All the food was fresh and delicious. The 'small' plates are anything but; they are really quite substantial. The service was just right and this is not an expensive restaurant. It is excellent value for money. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Visited Arthur Hoopers based on the fact that I walked past a lot and always liked seeing the atmosphere. It was Good Friday so I assumed it would be busy.
