Friendly staff, tapas dishes at exorbitant prices

DO NOT TRUST THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. Service good but as far as tapas goes, this was not it. Definitely not appropriate for sharing portions. We got the sirloin, and it was the fattiest sirloin cut I’ve seen! The croquettes were bland. The padron peppers were good but it’s hard to go wrong with them. The food was a real shame as the staff are super friendly and it gives very good vibes.

We had such a lovely lunch at this tapas spot! The food was super tasty – every plate was packed with flavor. Carmen was amazing and took such good care of us, making us feel right at home. It honestly felt like having lunch at a friend’s place. Can’t wait to go back!

Location is convenient, it’s right next to borough market; service is good but it’s overpriced; atmosphere is chilled, but the seating is VERY cramped, you can barely move after seated. The place is underneath the train tracks and quite dark. Didn’t seem very clean, and bingo, we had stomachache after the food🙈 Here is the list of what we ordered: •Bread - rock hard like chalk •Iberico Pork selection - cold •Ribeye and foie gras - so overcooked and didn’t taste good in general •croquets, tortilla, broken eggs - and all, you can tell the ingredients are there but the chef is not skilled And I’m just glad that it’s not my partner’s birthday but my birthday 😂

The dish in the centre 2 prawns croquettes, an 8-pound tapa 💷, very expensive, of course we ate it because we had already paid, I do not recommend the place, everything is expensive.

Iberico Pork Selection [Iberico Pork Selection] This dish contains a variety of selected parts of Iberian pigs. 🐷 is more delicious than 🐂. This is one of the characteristics of this restaurant. I highly recommend it.

Very buzzy atmosphere and very tight for space, but they make it work over two floors. We went on a Friday night with reservations. The food was delicious, especially the padron peppers. Sometimes I forget to take photos when the food arrives so apologies for already half eaten food photos.

En un apuro para tomar un tren a casa desde el Puente de Londres, me aventuré en Lobos para mi segunda visita y pregunté si podían proporcionar algunas tapas rápidamente? Me aseguraron que esto era posible así que me acomodé en una mesa con una botella Estrella Galicia (£ 6. 00 ) y estudió el menú. Opté por las Croquetas de Jamón (9€). 00 ) y llegaron unos 8 bocados crujientes y calientes. Agradable y fácil de comer, pero no especial para el sabor. Luego Albondigas (£ 12. 00 ) con salsa de tomate y virutas de chirivías fritas - las cuatro bolas de cerdo estaban bien cocidas y bien con la salsa, pero las virutas eran definitivamente supernumerarias. Finalmente tuve Broken Eggs (£ 11. 00 ) que era un único huevo cocido -yema todavía moteada- resecado sobre una cama de patatas salteadas con un poco de picadura de cerdo. Un poco seco y poco interesante. La impresión general fue que el buen servicio para llevar la comida caliente rápidamente como se solicitó se vio ligeramente empañado por la calidad moderada de las tapas seleccionadas. Factura total con 12. 5% de servicio fue de £ 42. 75 - probablemente pruebe otro restaurante en Borough Market la próxima vez.

A proper authentic tapas. The restaurant is a little pokey and we were sat right by the kitchen but the food was amazing. Paella was better than the best spots in Valencia and the 600g sirloin on the bone was an absolute treat (and very affordable at £49). Staff were lovely and the cocktails were on point. Brining my Spanish mate here when he’s over.

Reasonable prices, delicious food, and friendly staff. If you visit Borough Market, I recommend this place over market food. The iberico is delicious and the croquettes are delicious. The space is a bit small, but it can be said to be cozy.

The worst meal I’ve ever had in London. You just see the “spanish omelette” and it looks so bad and not natural. “Green salad” with just lettuce is so poor. That’s not spanish food. I come from Spain. No my friends; that’s not kind from you. I left the place so dissapointed.

Amazing food and great service. Quirky little place. My only negative is that we were supposed to have the table for 1hr 45, but we were asked for the table back after 1.5hrs and were not asked if we wanted dessert. Hence only 4 stars.

Great tapas place, very small and with the rattle of trains overhead, which adds positively to the atmosphere (the sounds of the washing up less so!). Very tasty dishes (and great wines), although some pretty pricey for what you get. Servers are friendly and helpful, but a star deducted for a very long wait on a couple of the dishes and because the tables are very small for 4 people and we had servers try to take dishes before we’ve finished (I think to try to make room but the dishes are small and we want to eat it all!). Overall this is on our recommended list; we’ve been many times and we’ll keep going back.

Las mesas son diminutas teniendo en cuenta sus tapas y todo el punto de la misma es tener un montón de platos. Nuestra camarera era agradable, pero no me dieron su nombre. Es pequeño e increíblemente ruidoso arriba se sentía como un refugio antibombas. La comida era muy agradable pero muy caro. Las gambas de chile al ajo fueron el plato destacado. Los platos de carne son muy caros, así que no nos molestamos. 5 platos, 4 bebidas, £ 140.

Delicious tapas under the railway arches in an unusual setting. We enjoyed all our dishes. Very friendly welcome. Well worth a visit.

No me gusta dejar comentarios negativos, pero desafortunadamente siento que tengo que describir mi experiencia aquí, ya que fue tan malo. Pedido varios platos de tapas diferentes, el pulpo para comenzar fue la porción más pequeña de pulpo que había visto (ver foto) cuatro piezas pequeñas y £ 20 para cargar eso? Ok puedo mirar que, la paella negra siguiente esta pegada a la sartén y casi la mitad de ella no se podía comer debido a que con una cantidad inexistente de comida marina. Luego el ojo de costilla que era bonito. Pero lo peor de todo fue el filete de cerdo. Estaba demasiado cocido. No se podía comer ya que era masticable, así que eso quedó. El camarero vino y dijo: ¿Cómo estaba tu comida? Dije que para ser honesto el filete de cerdo estaba demasiado cocido como puedes ver mientras le mostraba que tenía que quitármelo de la boca. ¿Entonces adivina qué hizo? ¡Se fue mientras yo hablaba con él! Increíble y estaba profundamente infeliz por la grosería de este camarero. La factura llegó (más de £ 100 todavía hambriento también) y me negué a pagar el cargo por el servicio después de su comportamiento patético por lo que hizo que lo quitara. Nunca iré aquí y me siento completamente estafado. Hay mucho mejores lugares de tapas alrededor de evitar este.

Grandes tapas pequeñas en el mercado de Borough, a 5 minutos de la estación del puente de Londres. Deliciosa, auténtica comida y un gran servicio. Nunca decepciona. Gran felicitación a Jasper por un gran servicio en un día muy ocupado. Muy recomendable!

It's a very intimate venue underneath railway arches. Used to be the well known London Bridge Tandoori. It's expensive (to be expected given the location). I didn't think the food was particularly special or authentic. It's trading off the quirky location. Service was good.

Yes, I've been there. alternative to the nearby Borought Market. Good quality street food. And off you go for a walk

I recently enjoyed a delightful birthday dinner at this brilliant restaurant, and I must say, it was an evening to remember. Having been to their SOHO branch before, I already knew they could impress, but this other venue truly raised the bar. The food was simply exquisite – every dish bursting with flavour that took me straight to the heart of Spain. Yet, it was the service that really made the night exceptional. The waiters were not only attentive but also genuinely caring, turning our meal into a special celebration. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel completely at ease. It was as though they anticipated our every need, managing every little detail with a perfect blend of grace and professionalism. Their warm demeanour and attention to detail created an atmosphere that was both cosy and refined – a rare treat in a city where top-notch hospitality can sometimes be hard to come by. It’s clear that the owner takes great pride in his staff, as every interaction reflected the passion and dedication behind the service. Their commitment not only enhanced our evening but also set a high standard for what dining out should be. I left the restaurant thoroughly impressed, not just by the sumptuous cuisine but by the genuine care we received throughout the night. I would wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone in search of a dining experience that truly stands out. Many thanks to everyone, especially the waiters, for making the evening so memorable – I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Food was great but wanted to mention the brilliant hospitality from the team. Accommodated us being a bit early and made a big effort as someone in our party was celebrating their birthday.

Absolutely horrible experience. Right from the minute we arrived we were treated like an inconvenience. Despite reserving the table the waitress told us we must stand outside in the freezing cold weather. After waiting for 20 minutes and the waitress being incredibly rude, we left. I wouldn’t recommend booking this place and will never go back. I cannot believe the manager of a restaurant would treat customers like this..

Incredible dishes all round. The croquetas were our favourite plate this evening! Jose is amazing, he made our dining experience even more enjoyable! Becca gave us very good recommendations and looked after us.

Needed a nice place to eat a light lunch and Lobos hit the spot. We were greeted and seated immediately. Drink orders taken and we were off to the menu. We did a starters Tapas and Meat Tapas mix that included White anchovies, roasted beets and squash, meatballs and octopus. Loved Loved Loved everything. All the food came out perfectly. I love white anchovies but they are so hard to find the vinegar based ones so that was my fav. The beets were my second but the grand finally for me was the octopus, sooooo tender, melt in your mouth, they nailed it! The servers were fantastic. I think we have 4 different people wait on us. Love the atmosphere, cook quaint vibe rockin in the music, took me back a few decades. Really fun I would go back here over and over.

The atmosphere is cute and scenic. I thought the service was very rushed and being sitted right next to the bar was quite awkward as you have to shout to hear each other, I'd book the booths inside if you can. The food wasn't as good as it could be, I'd only recommend the tortilla, but still nice and warm if you're around London bridge. The drinks were the best, lavender specially 🪻and the crema catalana was nice

Visité aquí con amigos 4 de nosotros en total. La comida que pedimos estaba bien en particular el pulpo y las gambas. Pensamos que los platos de carne eran demasiado caros para tapas, así que no pedí ninguno de ellos. La decoración era peculiar y los asientos un poco apretados para los 4 de nosotros (y eran todos son delgados). El servicio fue rápido . . . . . estuvimos dentro y fuera en poco más de una hora después de haber gastado 230 libras esterlinas. Todos bebieron un vaso de Sangria que era agradable.

First of all, shout out to the amazing presentation and well-seasoning of food, along with the welcoming and attentive service here. I had Rose Sangria for drink, black rice paella, grilled octopus leg, and Ribeye and foie gras for tapas. I highly recommend them all. Scraped the plate really hard after finishing black rice paella, the fat of Ribeye and foie gras melt immediately in my mouth, and the octopus tasted so much better than the one I got last time in a Michelin One Star Italian Restaurant. If you hasn't been to this place, trust me, it is a must try.

La comida era buena pedimos filete con foie gras y tapas de langostino y pulpo. Todo sabroso y buena porción para nosotros. La ubicación está cerca del mercado de Borough y la estación, pero el lugar es demasiado pequeño para los 4 de nosotros. El servicio está bien, pero debería ser mejor.

Uno de los aspectos más agradables de las tapas es la oportunidad de disfrutar de una amplia variedad de platos diferentes, y el menú era bastante completo, ofreciendo algo para todos. Cabe destacar en particular las albóndigas de cerdo y de ternera con salsa de tomate y chirivía crujiente; las croquetas de jamón, chorizo y tocino ahumado; la paella de arroz negro (calamares, gambas, tinta de sepia y alioli); el pulpo a la parrilla (salsa romana, alioli, limón quemado); y, por supuesto, la clásica tortilla de huevos -que en el centro estaba muy movida y suave-. Otras opciones incluían chiles encurtidos, una tabla de charcutería muy bien presentada (Ibérico bellota alimentado con chorizo, salchichón, lomo y jamón ibérico) ; patatas bravas (patatas fritas con salsa brava picante) ; ensalada verde (gema para bebés, hinojo, calabacín, almendras y aderezo de limón) ; pimientos padrones; gambas en ajo, chile y aceite de oliva (ver fotos) . También probé una cerveza española de la Alhambra bastante agradable. El postre fue una deliciosa crema Catalana y doble tarta de chocolate y pistacho. También tengo que reconocer el coro de cumpleaños proporcionado por el personal, con el equipo en la cocina abierta añadiendo su contribución con ollas y sartenes. Fue muy divertido. Con la factura final llegando a 237 libras esterlinas incluyendo bebidas, sin mencionar el ahora omnipresente cargo por servicio - llamado 'discrecional' - que no es tan malo para cuatro personas, dada la calidad de la tarifa. Un rotundo pulgar hacia arriba. Muy recomendable.

Lovely little tapas in Borough market, very small but had a nice vibe. Tasty food but service very rushed, still eating main course and were told the table was needed back. Appreciate there is a time constraint on bookings but there has to be enough time to order be served and eat. We wanted dessert, which I might add was delicious, and were granted extra time to eat as we'd ordered more.

Wow, it‘s the best tapas restaurant i‘ve ever been! The people there are so nice and friendly and the food is delicious. Our place was next to the kitchen and we felt like a part of family in there! We can recomment it for everyone, try it!

Without a doubt, this is the best spot for Spanish tapas in London! I had the chance to try their Christmas specials, including the truffle and mushroom tortilla and the pork riblets with butternut squash – everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic, perfectly balanced, and truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience top-quality Spanish cuisine!

The food itself was 5/5. However I found they raised the price too much these two years, making it not really worth the money spent, also the table was a bit small, it can’t even place more than 2 tapas dishes at the same time.

I had read that the food was delicious. I didn't expect it to be this delicious. Especially the octopus and blac rice paella was incredible. I wish I had taken a few photos. Of course, photos don't tell the flavor, but you would understand the visual feast. I will definitely go again

Had lunch here with a colleague on a Friday afternoon... No complaints for the service, and serving sizes... The food was also quiet good.... Would recommend this restaurant.

Extraordinary place on the map of London! Lovely service, one of the best we’ve had in London. Extra glasses of Prosecco offered for waiting was a nice gesture. The waitress was very nice and welcoming and the food was AMAZING.

Disgusting customer service , shambolic management and appalling attitude. Having made a reservation over two months ago for a party of 10, extremely special occasion with multiple guests flying in from various locations across europe, we today received an auto generated email , thanking us for cancelling our reservation . We called to query this and were simply told that the reservation had to be cancelled as ‘ the guy doing bookings two months ago over booked the restaurant and has since left’ and there was nothing that could be done. Not much of an explanation as to why the tables that had booked after us could not be cancelled other than ‘ there are too many to call ‘ You should be ashamed of yourselves. I reccomend you put the idiots guide to restaurant management on your xmas list , there’s a good chapter on taking ownership of issues and not palming them off to an imaginary employee who left. Merry Xmas

Absolutely amazing meal here last weekend. What a fantastic little find under the bridge. Atmosphere great, service outstanding, and food was fabulous, packed full of flavours. Best meal and service I have had in ages! Will be back!!

Food was fine but service was poor, bordering on rude. I honestly felt like our being there (party of 3) was an inconvenience to the guy looking after our section of the restaurant. I’m glad others haven’t had this experience but for us it was pretty rubbish. The vibe was weird from the moment we walked in - as we waited to be seated there were several staff members milling around us making jokes amongst themselves and just ignoring the fact we were there? The evening ended with them bringing a forgotten starter to the table after we’d finished our mains and then overcharging us for it. I struggled to even pay the bill as the staff member in our section never came back to take payment. We ended up having to go and find someone just so we could pay and leave. I never begrudge paying the usual 12.5% service charge as it’s a tough economy for restaurants, particularly independents, but on this occasion I actually do regret paying it. As an aside I also found it weird that they were storing their alcohol in the bathroom - not quite sure how that works with the health code. Overall, food was decent but would not recommend based on the incredibly strange vibes.

Tried this Spanish restaurant for the first time. Seating area small boots very little space. Food very expensive very small quantity. Not worth the money. Can’t really recommend this place. Had the cheese selection, croquets and meat selection came to £120.

Absolutely enjoy the food here!! It is one of my go-to places when I am meeting up with my friends. They serve the best Iberico ham and meat selection!!! I love every dish!!! Every time I am here, I order different things and they are all amazing!

very small table, and even smaller food portions, this is the smallest spanish seafood rice pealla I have ever had, for 16 pound? Food taste ok, nothing out of ordinary, my local Spanish restaurant can do better with more affordable and much bigger portions!

Enjoyed Lobos more than I expected to. Everything we ordered was super good! We ended up going for padrón peppers, croquetas, patatas bravas, black rice paella and prawns in garlic. Couldn’t fault any of it. Even the Rioja I was drinking was really good. The only (very small) downside was that it’s a very small & tight restaurant. Don’t expect lots of space. That said, it wasn’t enough to put me off going back. I enjoyed the food and would defo be up for going there again!

The pan fried pork and garlic prawn was amazing, and we also liked the black rice paella as well. The crème brûlée wasn’t warm which is a shame, but overall a really good experience

Enjoyed our lunch at Lobos. Quirky interior. Quite dark inside and you can hear the trains passing. The music was a little on the loud side and the tables were tiny so you couldn't have all your tapas at one go. Portions were of a decent size though I still found it a little overpriced for what it was. Would probably go again.

Noisy restaurant even though we were the first customers to arrive, with staff banging plates and talking loudly at each other. I can understand this to a point but this far exceeded the norm. The tapas were very small, and overly priced in my opinion. Tasty yes, but not enough to warrant £100 bill for 4 small tapas and a steak with no drinks, sorry! The waitress was a little too attentive, asking to take away plates before we were finished. At the very end, I hadn't realised a tip was already added to the bill. I asked the waitress how to add a tip onto the card machine I was presented with. She didn't have the decency to let me know a tip had already been applied to the bill. Extremely disappointed. Would not return. Would not recommend.

Tables are tiny, service is slow, they added a bottle of wine (£39) to our bill , instead of a glass of wine (£7.50), refunded the difference but kept the full service charge. If you go here check your bill, I was not impressed!!

Food and service was good. Table we had was rather cramped for space. Portions could be bigger for the prices you’re paying. Especially paella and bravas.

Wonderful food and service. Quick and responsive. Second time here and glad we came back! Quirky place with upstairs reminds me of the London tube station, perhaps it was part of it at one time. Went last night for a girls dinner , usually I don’t leave reviews , but I had such simple but AMAZING and fresh food that I have to say something the service is amazing the staff is lovely and know what to suggest u better so trust them , we was downstairs so I’d like the thank the guy who served us because he truly was there to make sure we was having the best food choice we have around 9 plates of tapas , we didn’t feel bloated or “sick “ after eating that much , we just felt so so happy that we eat all of that food so tasty and flavoured. Will be back for sure . (For people that expect super fast food service please understand that good food take time to be made and I think u just impatient.) Loved lobos .

I've been there a few years ago and it was great. I've been there again this weekend and it was terrible. Food is much worse now and super expensive. Terrible. Wine served in water glasses. The quality of the wine went down a lot, unfortunately. Not great service, we were told to wait for a table upstairs and we waited 1 hour. After 1 hour they gave us seats on the stools on the front. Terrible.
