Amazing food, gotta try the sticky rice with mango, it's to die for!

Excellent food and attentive service, even though we weren't booked in and arrived shortly before closing.

Really enjoyed our meal at Aroy Dee in Bangor. Just round the corner from Traxx Hotel, where we were staying. It was busy. Always a good sign. Relaxed and very welcoming. Everything was cooked freshly and authentically Thai.

Average. Not much flavour and wouldn’t recommend other than the Pad Thai

Went there for food, food service was very slow ordered one starter to share and 4 main dishes. Took 45 minutes for just the one starter to come out. Took another 50 minutes for the main to come out. They do not seem to have the capacity to cook for many tables at once as people were served table-by-table with one dish at a time which slows the service. Probably alright if you're the only table there.

Ordered a big takeaway for the family, and it was so beautiful. Food was so fresh, which made a huge difference from getting Chinese takeaway, it was non greasy, tasty, and packed full of veg which was gorg. Most underrated takeout and restaurant in Bangor.

All four diners were very impressed with food and service here. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Prices very reasonable. Only trouble was .... we didn't have room for one of the intriguing desserts . Oh well....Will have to revisit next time in Bangor !

What a great find! We stayed near Bangor this weekend and found this absolute gem. The food, the service and the atmosphere were all incredible. One of the nicest Thai meals I've had and it was great to sit in rather than takeaway. The lad serving us was really polite and helpful when it came to food suggestions. Would highly recommend the Aroy Dee Thai Noodle Bar.

Service was appallingly slow considering there was one other table in other than ours on a mid week night. The food took 55 mins from ordering to arrive at the table, we were about ready to walk out by this stage. That being said, once the food did finally arrive it was of good quality and reasonable portion size for the money. I would have given an extra star if the staff acknowledged the extensive wait but nothing was said an no apology given. Disappointed.

Delicious food very reasonably priced, interior maybe a bit basic but we were made very welcome with customary trademark Thai hospitality.

Superb food and they can make nearly everything on the menu vegan and gluten-free. Cannot wait to go again. So authentic truly scrumptious and excellent value for money. All washed down by the most wonderful Jasmine tea.

Good food at a very reasonable price, and friendly service

Had amazing curries and spring rolls and delicious desserts. Everyone was super friendly and the atmosphere was lovely and the servers were very helpful in suggesting dishes and telling us about different styles of food to try. Definitely the best food I've had since coming to the UK.

This is the best Thai restaurant that I have ever been to. Food is absolutely lovely and delicious. Portion sizes are excellent also. Robert who I think is the owner is really polite, helpful and gives excellent customer service. The restaurant has a 5 star hygiene rating and we are also assured by the Robert that the customer toilets are spotless/clean. We will be definitely be coming back. Thanks

Loved it! I am a big Thai food fanatic, and although the waiter got my order wrong I still loved the food on my plate. Very friendly staff. I personally like the fact that the kitchen door is open so, you can see the chef cooking away. The restaurant felt homey and is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Bangor.

Great take away. Good food, friendly staff and helpful. Was a bit disappointed that we couldn't eat in. But covid rules.... Some posh restaurants full of people with barely any spot free, and nice little places like this one empty... The world has gone mad.

Real Thai food with authentic thai staff super friendly lady with elegant manners gave us plates and forks to eat in the car 😀 in lockdown, I am not a fan of spicy food but here in Bangor they have the flavours and spice just right , very beautiful yummy dish and defo be coming here a lot more great lady chef :D

Great food, service a little slow but well worth the wait.

Me and my friend visited this place 03/01/20 8pm the restaurant was quiet as expected due to the holiday season. We could not fault the food whatsoever it was cooked to order, fresh and tasty. We had the Chicken Satay, Thai Green Curry and Chicken Pad Thai. The service was also very pleasant and it was great value for money.

The people are amazing. The food was good also but not to my expectations. The place was suggested for being very tasty which is why we decided to try. All in all I gave 2 stars but only because my expectations were not met.

Excellent food, genuine Thai cooking done with care and superb assistance from the manager. Highly recommended. If you like spicy, ask what to get. The Pad Thai was very good but mild in keeping with the general tradition. Delicious toasted garnish peanuts served in optional ramekin. Tofu dishes nicely prepared. Will visit again soon. The food and the service is always amazing my favourite thing from the menu is the chicken Penang. The price is very reasonable and the portions are generous. I recommend the Tom Yum soup as a starter perhaps with the fishcakes if you have a big appetite.

Eat there regularly and never let down. Friendly helpful service and freshly prepared cooked food. High hyginee standards are obvious. If you are brave ask the boss to cook it Thai style with LOTS of chillies and enjoy an authentic taste of Thailand.

Such lovely people, such tasty food at such reasonable prices - go here before you cross the bridge for Thai food.

Ordered a takeaway from here. Super-tasty food but it took nearly 50 mins to be ready and the restaurant only had 2 small tables full...didnt really understand that. Free prawn crackers prevented 2 stars.

Decent Thai food, although curries were a little understated compared to authentic Thai. Very reasonable prices.

So often, Thai cuisine in the UK has been co-opted into "fusion" cuisine, usually by people who aren't even Thai. This results in artificially "oriental" flavours that don't manage to highlight the unique characteristics of each region's cuisine. That's why I'm so pleased with Aroy Dee, this is a family-run restaurant that serves authentic Thai food. The staff are always friendly, and the food is superb.
