Aroi in Stockport

Plenty of meat and really tasty mains. Starter was cold and half the quantity of what was stated on the menu which was disappointing after waiting an hour and a half when a within one hour timeframe was given. They no longer honour the loyalty card scheme which was also disappointing thought they did throw in the above starter which would have been great if all there! Really tasty mains hence the 3 star in fairness

2 hour wait for a takeaway order. Tried calling multiple times to chase up for the order and engaged each time. Woeful service...

The food from this place has deteriorated incredibly in the past 2 years. The chicken panang curry missed most veg in the previous year. Our order today had half the amount and was still charged at full price. This used to be my favourite place to eat but a lot of the dishes have gone down hill, Massively.

Ordered when we went to the Chiverton Tap for a drink. Great new partnership - you can order aroi directly in the pub and delivered to the pub! Took around 40 minutes to be delivered however this is made clear on the menu in the Tap. Food arrived still lovely and hot in tiffin dishes. Both dishes (chicken pad krapow and lamb shashlik) were delicious and cannot recommend this enough! Lovely addition to the Chiverton Tap.

Tasty food but the website needs improvements! Almost gave up on our order but I am glad we persevered. We had poppadums with dips, tofu curry and a lamb garlic curry (that was a bit bland). The salt and pepper chips were great.

Had not eaten at this place for a few years but heard it was under new management, as I like Indian food and my wife prefers Thai I thought I would give it a try, I had the Tandoori Mixed Grill and my wife had Chicken Green curry. Both meals were amazing and will certainly be using this as our number one takeaway.

Had a chicken Madras and pilau rice really tasty authentic curry !! Might try a Vindalooo next time. Yes i did try a Vindalooo "yummy " .

I have been there a few times. The quality of food has realy gone downhill since last year. I have gone back several times hoping it was an one off, but no chance. The last straw was that I ordered Singapore noodles and was given flat noodles with raw tumeric seasoning. Do they think that they can realy get away with anything! Horrendous!

The best takeaway in Cheadle hulme by a mile. Great selection of foods. Nice to be able to have Thai, Malay and Indian all in the same takeaway. Highly recommend this place and the staff are all really nice and friendly!

We have been using the aroi for the past 13 years and can honestly say that we’ve never had a bad meal! Very tasty, fresh (love the number 68) Thai & Indian food! Infact I’m just going to place an order for tonight! All the best for the new year

I ordered an Indian takeaway from here this evening for delivery, it’s the first time I’ve ordered from the Indian side of their menu and it was fantastic! All cooked to perfection and spice level altered to my taste perfectly as requested, and delivered on time with a very friendly driver! We’ll definitely order from them again.

I also had a poor takeaway. Chewy meat and such a disappointment as we have had good food here in the past. No flavour and no spice. More like a stew! What has happened here?

We have been using this takeaway for a couple of years now on a regular basis. On Saturday night we ordered a takeaway and to be fair was told immediately before ordering that it would be 1 hour for collection, which was fine. We arrived at the takeaway at the exact time, I was stood waiting at the counter for 5 minutes before anyone came out of the kitchen to see me, then was told it would be 10 more minutes. At this time I looked into the kitchen and none of the cooks had any masks on, one bas one round her chin. I did say to the manager, pull he please ask his staff to all,put their face masks on especially when cooking in the kitchen. I went and sat in my car for another 10 minutes. When I returned at 8.15pm, I had to ask again was my order ready to be told it won’t be long!!!!!! I stood at the counter for 10 more minutes before finally my food being brought out. At this time I said once again to the manager, that all staff need to be wearing their face masks over their nose and mouth, only one kitchen staff actually put their mask on whilst I was there and at least 4 others were cooking foods with no masks on at all. Got home to discover they had In fact missed off one of the main meals. You can imagine by now I am furious. I ph9med and just said the delivery driver will bring it round. Absolutely appalled with the service received and lack of Covid rules not being followed by all staff when cooking and distributing food.

Nice friendly staff. Order was delivered on time. But food was not very good. The two curries were really bland and odd in texture. A blended sauce with meat added. No vegetable in sight. The naan bread was really lovely and was the only think eaten. Really disappointing.

Delicious curry with a good vegetarian choice! Excellent service with lots of respect for lockdown hygiene rules. Cant wait to go again

We got a takeaway from here last night. We were impressed with the efficiency of our order and that it was ready at the right time. The Thai salad was really yummy and full of spice but my rogan josh sauce was quite bland with very little spice. The Kashmiri rice was really yummy but it seemed as though it had been cooked with a shop bought fruit and nut packet added to it.... rather than cooked from scratch? It was still very tasty though! My husband had the chilli chicken and he said it was nice. Not sure we would order from here again personally but don’t be put off by this review. It is still a decent takeaway if you need a curry fix!

Fab place, prompt service and excellent hot food. Super friendly staff. We use Aroi often and will continue to do so.

Aroi offers excellent quality Indian takeaway, I notice there are some bad reviews, and this is around the same time I had a bad takeaway from here. I think they must have taken on a bad chef for a short while, but I can report they are well back on form, our last couple of orders have been really good.

This is great Indian takeaway and the only one we go to (we have visited many). The food is always fresh and delicious, they have a great variety of dishes to choose from, indian, Thai, Asian. all amazing. They do great onion baaji's too They operate a reward scheme , when you fill a card with stamps you get a free meal

Great asian food and excellent service from the staff, we usually collect which is around 20 minutes as delivery can be around 45 minutes which is still fast for top food!!!! what more can you ask for, Thank you.

We ordered our usual dishes which we have and love all the time. Tonight we were deeply disappointed in the quality of both dishes. We collected them and they were running about 15 minutes late, but usually worth the wait. But tonight when we started eating our food, the curry was like water with no flavour at all, the Chicken stir fry had no flavour either and was really bland. Felt like they had a change of chef. Usually the food is truly amazing from here. Let’s hope our next meals are back to normal.

Superb quality food and the best paratha ever!! Allow at least an hour for delivery as they are always busy but worth the wait!

We really like the food here but every other time we get a delivery they forget something. We ordered four dishes tonight and they forget one dish!

The food is very good from here. The only issue we had tonight was it took 85mins for delivery. Staff were very apologetic about the late delivery

Excellent food and service, very good quality of freshly cooked food. Prices are reasonable and this is one of the best take aways in the area.

We spent 50 a mix of Thai and Indian, we have used in the past and they were great. This time absolutely rubbish. We complained and go 20 of next order ,but doubt we'll be back..so disappointed,

I’ve eaten here on and off since it opened years ago and as someone who has worked in kitchens. I can tell when a spring roll has been microwaved (lazy) as for the mains they were tasteless and microwaved. If you want to charge Cheadle Hulme prices justify them! Crispy duck also won’t go crispy in a microwave! X

Normally very good but today's meal was very poor all round.

Eat here regularly and always go for the beef massaman curry. Unbelievably good. Nice guys too. Definitely recommend

This is my favourite takeaway, it has a great variety of Asian food, and everything I have had is delicious. I especially recommend the Pad Thai and Chilli Duck.

We've eaten here for years and love it. Sadly I think they must use MSG as me and my wife (mostly me) can suffer from nausea and headaches the next morning. It would be 5* if it wasn't for that!

This is a fantastic takeaway in Cheadle Hulme - easy to find opposite Waitrose or will deliver quickly. Food is great quality, and it's great if one of you wants one type of food and another wants something else, as Aroi offers great quality Thai, Indian and Chinese. We're really happy to have found this place and will definitely become regular customers!

Great selection of different types of Asian dishes. Perfect for when one of you fancies Indian and the other fancies Thai! All very authentic too, really flavoursome, generous portions, and really friendly staff. Pity we were just visiting friends in the area, else we'd be back at every opportunity. Highly recommended.

We went to Aroi for the first time today after seeing it a few times and I have to say, I'm so glad we did! The food was gorgeous (we had mainly Thai dishes,) it was very reasonably priced and the man serving us was really friendly. We'll definitely visit again as we love Thai food but it's not easy to find. Just a shame it's not a restaurant!

We had a takeaway from Aroi last night and it was absolutely amazing! We both had Thai dishes from the main menu. I would highly recommend this takeaway and we will be visiting again in the near future..

Stopped off for food here and it was delicious. The dhansak and puri dishes we had were tangy and flavourful and the staff were friendly.

The food came within an hour and was well packaged. The food was very tasty and their was plenty of rice. The Poppadum was fresh and their were generous supply of onions.
