Well, as an Aussie this was a cultural experience bar none , this Suburban Fish Shop is a reminder of how fantastic Scottish fish suppers should be . Busy and full, the family take your order and you wait for perfection sensational fish and terrific chips , salt and sauce , Scottish superfood large portion £7.40 ! Wow that’s amazing. Thank you you made a old man very happy.

Went for a fish supper on a Sunday night. Fish was good, decent price for a chippy, the batter was a bit oily. However, this was fine because the chips were the best I've tasted in a very long time. Armando hand cuts the chips, and it is telling! The chips must have been either double or triple cooked - just like how grandma used to make in the days of the old chip pans. Fantastic!

This has honestly been one of the friendliest shops I have ever been in. Great food. I was recommended this chip shop from a fellow lorry driver, and I was not disappointed. As a lorry driver we are not always welcome in a lot of places (often looked down on). The lovely lady that served me was soooo kind to me, and her thoughtfulness meant more to me than she will ever know. Special people, thank you x

I've been going to this chippy for over 3 years now and everything I've ever gotten has been dynamite to be honest. I've tried quite a few of the items on the menu, fish which is soft inside crisp batter, steak pie that is flaky on top and soft on bottom, all of the puddings which are flavourful, spicy if you want it and filling, pizza crunch again with lovely crispy batter and every item has been as good as I have ever gotten from anywhere. In particular I'd like to mention the onion rings. They're so big it's like eating one of the rings of Saturn so are probably one of my favourite things from there. Sometimes you can be waiting 5 or 10 minutes but I've noticed that the reason for this is because they cook everything from fresh when you order it. Well worth the extra few minutes in my opinion because whatever you order is served really hot and just out the frier. As someone who chooses Guinness as his drink of choice. I'm happy to wait a minute to get the extra quality. The prices are also excellent. I don't want to say this incase they put the prices up but if they charged more and I'd still happily get my chippy here because it'd still be a better meal for cheaper than the other chippys in the area.

Called up to ask if I could place and order for collection. The man on the phone was very rude to me when I asked to get everything on my meal. He advised me that this would be done when I came to collect. He then shouted at me to hurry up as he there was a queue! I was so shocked to be spoken to like this. If pre-orders are an issue then they shouldn't offer it as service. All he needed to say was 'sorry, unfortunately we don't offer this service' at peak times' and that would have been fine! Not a great customer experience at all and the man clearly has anger management issues. Don't take it out on your customers - its the first rule of customer service. Gutted as a great chippy, just no need for speaking to anyone like that so reluctant to go back now 😢

Was recommended Armandos by a few different people. I have to say it’s one of the best if not the best chip shop I’ve been to. We both had a fish supper, it was awesome, Also cause we’re greedy tried the Stornaway black pudding which was delicious. Needless to say we’ll be back and I recommend anyone that’s in the area or if u fancy a wee trip like we did to head here!!!

Hidden Gem, best chippy in town. I'll keep it short. We live 5 minutes from one of the town's busiest chippies but we travel across town to go to Armando's instead, it's that good. Fish is beautifully cooked, two portions in a supper which is massive and the price is incredible for the portion size. The only chippy I know of that also serves Stornoway Black Pudding, and that is also deliciously cooked and remarkably well priced. Only take cash so have some change with you, and be prepared to wait for freshly cooked chips and fish when it's quiet. It's soooo worth it!!!!

Cannot recommend Armandos highly enough. Fish was so tasty with a crispy batter and came with 2 fish. The chips were freshly cooked when you ordered. The services was amazing. So friendly with a real family feel to it. Cannot wait to go back.

Excellent fish & chip shop. Food is delicious always look forward to our fish supper on a Saturday night. The family who own it are very friendly. 👍👍

The staff were very friendly and offered a large menu. I had a Stornoway Black Pudding something that is not on the normal fish bars menu. It was delicious and hot,

Must be the best in Fife. If not the whole of Scotland. Clean and staff are friendly. Not open on Mondays.. this might have changed since my visit.

We use Armando's if we are having a chip supper, sometimes you may have to wait for your order as it can be quite busy sign of a good chip shop, prices are reasonable good service and always made to feel welcome. Give it a try.

Just had fish and chips tonight, was so looking forward to this high calorie treat and was utterly disappointed. Chips were like re-heats and fish wasn't any better. My taste buds obviously differ from others who have raved about this fish bar. Will not be returning!

Visiting family in Dunfermline from NY. First time trying Armando’s Fish Bar and it is excellent. Fresh haddock & chips - crispy but not overdone. HUGE line on a Friday night so go early. Worth the 30 min wait. Went back on Wednesday and no line at 6:30pm. Excellent food and value. Must go!

Fish is always cooked fresh to order and its worth the wait. Generous portions and tasty. It can be busy at peak times.

Don't have as many as we used to, but wife wanted a battered smoked sausage and lashings of brown sauce.Huge range of options and sides, drinks and snacks including curry sauce, mushy peas and rolls. Chips are always excellent and properly cooked. I had a steak pie, which was also good.Love this chip pie.

Just fancied fish and chips, so went along to Armando's. No surprise very busy and quite a wait.Great big fish portion and nice chips. Just to tick all the boxes git buttered rolls and mushy peas too.Large range of food available and plenty of snacks and nibbles too and a full fridge full of juice to suit everyone.

Can we really busy and waiting times suffer as a result.Great chips and a lot of supper options. Always have rolls too, for a buttie.Fair prices and love the fish.Better chips than many other places in Dunfermline.Parking can be a bit congested out front.

Tengo que decir que la comida es bastante buena en este lugar. Patatas 100% bueno.Sin embargo, el personal puede venir a través como miserable a veces. He visto innumerables veces con modales negativo, pero en decir que el propietario puede encontrar a menudo reír/bromas con los clientes...Sin duda a suertes en términos de servicio. En la mayoría muy lento. Tiendas chip St Andrews o Anstruther tienen motivo de ser que lento... cocinan todo fresco. Pero no tanto.La comida es buena en la mayoría.3/5

It is always busy any time I have been there. The fish supper is the business. What else would you expect from an Italian run chip shop. The service is excellent. You must visit.

Been coming here since I was a little girl in the 80's, decor still the same but it doesn't matter cause the food is always fab. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, good portion sizes. Queues say it all. Won't go anywhere else.

La comida es fresco mientras espera, muy sabrosa y una buena relación calidad-precio. Siempre hay enormes colas de regresar los clientes. Está en la calle principal de Halbeath justo a lo largo del Harvester Restaurante, he notado que algunas personas se olvide que está allí porque está escondido :) Definitivamente lo recomiendo!
