The food is good, but the delivery driver asked to pay him for the delivery even though not mentioned on the order when I paced it and the delivery driver arguing with me insisting that I have to pay more than the receipt showing, not acceptable behaviour, shame really as they lost a potential regular customer

We love the food from Bukhara. It’s our go to place 😊

And they loved it. This is called Bukhara restaurant now. Really loved the food and service. They bought be another type of rice then bought me correct one and didn't charge for it, they were both delish. So was kleftico and kabuli pulao and chapli kebab. The Afghan ice cream was a great refreshing end to lunch. Very much recommend around 40 quid for four of us.

Big family party went for a celebration. I'm usually the most critical of critiques and I had nothing to complain about. Food was amazing, hot, fresh and very tasty. Staff were very attentive and the decor is stunning. In fact, going again tonight with husband

Myself and my husband were passing and very hungry so decided to pop in for a quick lunch. I initially thought it was a Turkish restaurant when we were outside and couldn't understand what most of the dishes on the menu were so stupidly just ordered a halloumi salad. I wish I'd looked carefully at the menu, read that it said Afghan Persian and asked what certain dishes contained/how they were cooked etc as my salad was disappointing compared to my husband's meal! I tried some of the lamb and chicken from his mixed grill and it was amazing. We spoke with the owner about his business he was a very friendly man and sent over some complimentary dessert for us to try which was a lovely touch and very tasty! We would probably come back it was pleasant enough and the decor is lovely.

We visited the Ariana restaurant (now called Bukhara) last night with family. This was our first experience of Persian food and we were not disappointed. The food was tasty, portions sizes Herbert's and the ambiance welcoming. Despite the service being slightly haphazard at times, this did not ruin our experience and, arguably, this made for some humorous conversation around the table. Thank you for the friendly hospitality and yummy food.

We have been eating at this restaurant since it has been open. Never have we received food that has been so appalling and substandard. The meat was falsely advertised as being seasoned. It was the most bland meat i have ever had. It was also advertised falsely in size as it was said to be a fillet of lamb not cut up pieces of lamb. The qabuli pilau was not coloured properly and also lacked very much in seasoning. The salad was not fresh and instead started turning brown and soggy. Im very very disappointed in the food quality and would not advise my worst enemy to go there if their food quality continues like this. I am someone who never writes reviews like this but i have never had more disappointing food than i had from this restaurant today. I strongly believe that chef is not even qualified. I expect a response otherwise i will report to the fair trading officer of redbridge under false claims of food descriptions and misguiding their customers.

Came with my family and friends, food was excellent and love the traditional feel, very authentic food, great to try something new if you haven't tried Afghan food. the lamb shank was so tender they served it with a spoon, worth another visit so I can try something else.

The food was 40 min late, I got lied to by the driver that he was stuck in traffic and he tried calling me even though there was no call, the food was incomplete, cold and the portion was only half of what it usually is. They dont take customers serious as same happened last time and even after a complaint they don't care. Time for people to know. All in one the experience was horrible but no one even apologises ... very very disappointing

Mi amigo les llama acerca de los elementos que faltaban, y me dijeron que me iban a entregar muy pronto. 45 minutos más tarde, sin embargo, no hay señales de el chico de la entrega, así que les llamé, me dijeron que ya se había enviado, así que probablemente el chico entrega a las personas equivocadas, y que no podían enviar de nuevo. Mi marido y yo fuimos a Ariana esperando una agradable comida hoy y que fue muy decepcionante. No sé por dónde empezar.Que estaba cerca del restaurante y decidimos reservar una mesa y pedir la comida. Nos lo allí en 10 minutos y llegamos en 5 minutos. Como llegamos a nuestra comida ya estaba en la mesa que es buen servicio pero hubiera agradecido si se quedo en la cocina y se mantiene caliente.Ignoramos esto y empezamos a comer la comida que era muy salada. En asesorar a la camarera sobre el salado de la comida dijo 'que no soy cocinero y salías". Más tarde vino el gerente y ella dijo que no puede hacer nada y nadie se ha quejado.Decidimos pagar y salir. Ya que pagaba el gerente dijo lo siento. En respuesta me dijo que si era lo siento que hubiera intentado cambiar nuestra comida. Además el personal hablaba a nosotros groseramente y dos veces me quejé pero no tomó ninguna medida por parte de la dirección.Mientras que pagaba otro cliente se quejaban de la cantidad de sal en la comida. Y todavía el director ignorado. Pagamos la cantidad completa y desilusionados.Yo no recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera a menos que quieras comida basura y mal servicio. Hay otros lugares para comer en la zona que ofrecen un servicio mucho mejor y la comida.

Totally disappointed We have ordered a mixed grill and a starter. The delivery guy didn't carry change so we ended up paying extra. Coming to the food... Should I call that food? The lamb chops were totally burnt (had to throw away), and the rest of the kababs were too dry. The starter was good and so was the rice. But we had ordered for the meat which was a total disaster. I wish we had an option to upload the pics here. Never going to order again!

When here last night for birthday and anniversary with friends. Staff were friendly, good wholesome, flavoursome food plenty of it, the four of us really enjoyed it, would defiantly go back. Only downside was the restaurant was cold.

Visitamos el 21 de enero para celebrar el 70 cumpleaños de mi madre th. A pesar de varias cosas que pedimos no estaban disponibles, incluyendo el té de menta fresca la comida que comimos era absolutamente delicioso. Había algo de perforación desde el mismo lugar, arriba no está conectado con el restaurante y la música era un poco demasiado ruidoso. En general una gran comida y regresaremos de nuevo. Un gran hallazgo.

Visited on 30th December 2016. Had the Mantu and Chelou Kebab Koobideh. The food was great, the portions generous and the staff attentive. The ambience was impressive as well. Would recommend.

Goodmayes as a suburb has been largely by-passed over the years, but now, with imminent Cross-Rail connections, some really nice restaurants are opening, and the Ariana is the best that we have found in the last year.A really friendly Afghan and Persian cuisine restaurant that serves the best rice that I think I have ever tasted.The staff are excellent and explain the different dishes clearly. We have been three times in the last two months, and each time has been a delight.Tip- the Ariana gets busy at weekends, so book. OK in the week though.True to its Islamic traditions, alcohol is not served, but it is a BYOB, without corkage charges, so family or friends can eat well and economically, with their own drink.To anyone who resents paying vastly inflated prices for mediocre wine, and then faces the further indignation of paying a further 15% service charge, this is the place for you.Food tips- the Houmous and Yoghurt starters, accompanied by the really beautifully thin Nan type bread, will fill you up before the main course, so share !The slowly cooked lamb is always going to be good in any Persian restaurant, and in the Ariana, it is excellent. Take the waitress's recommendation if you are not familiar with the strange sounding dishes- they haven't failed us yet!Try it soon, before Goodmayes becomes the next Islington, and prices double!

Went with my wife the fools is amazing so is service! The sort of rice I have not tried anywhere else! don't miss it honestly!

Great food, reasonable prices. Venue is lovely from inside, very attentive. If your passing by be sure to pop in, mix grill is lovely! Especially the chicken very yummy

Very nicely themed restaurant with traditional décor, music and spacious dining area. They also have a nice shisha garden that is separate from the main dining area so diners can eat without disturbance. High chairs are also available for those with young children.The waiters are nice, approaching but have got a couple of things wrong on one occasion (but did compensate for their error).As for the food, the taste is amazing, meats are tender yet juicy, rich flavours and their spicy herbal sauce is amazing. The price is average for the type of food served but well worth a visit. My family and I have been dining there for a couple of years now.

Basically the most disastrous meal ever after having few mouthfuls I gave up and then was up most of the night with tummy pains and diarrhoea. I have had Afghan food in many restaurants and it's delicious but this I don't know what food was it and from what country as it tasted of nothing defrosted rubbish.

I have been to Ariana many times with my family. They always serve excellent food and never fail to impress. The prices are reasonable and portion sizes are more than enough! The service is also very good. Would recommend to all - it's definitely worth trying Persian/Afghan cuisine if you haven't already. I especially recommend the boneless joojeh (chicken kebab).

It was our second visit to the restaurant and it was every bit as good as our first time. The staff were incredibly attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them.The portion size of the meals was more than generous and we quickly realised that a main course could easily feed two people.Don't forget to take your wine/beer with you !

The wait was frustrating, starter was awful main dishes are all the same or appeared the same never be back again.... No sauce with food......

Hi was given raw lamb chops and management didn't seem too bothered saying it's because they serve dishes very quickly. First time here, will not be returning. Took 40 minutes to get drinks and no bread was offered until asked for.
