The service was quick and the food was really tasty. We even got a small surprise from them as a first time buyer. I would definitely recommend to try them out as there’s a lot to try! :)

If you fancy something different for a fairly cheap price around the Yate area, I would recommend to try this. The pulled pork was tasty, however the sides were not great, mainly because of the take away packaging. The chips were soggy on arrival, as most are that use foil tray packaging to deliver food. I did not like the baked beans as a side, the beans arrived watery and very unappealing to look at. The pickles and vegetables were too small of a portion. Sides can be improved, maybe by adding others such as corn on the cob, flavoured rice instead of baked beans. It is a fairly new restaurant and I would be willing to give them a try again as they are bringing out new food regularly. The best thing was the price, a very fair cost indeed. Please do try them out!

With complex dietary requirements (gluten and dairy free), we can be a bit of a challenge when it comes to food. Recently, there was an unfortunate mix-up with the menu, which prompted us to reach out to the team. The manager responded exceptionally well—handling what was actually a fairly serious issue with great professionalism and care. To make things right and rebuild trust, they generously invited our whole party back for a complimentary meal. This isn’t the first time we’ve encountered issues like this at restaurants, but The Swan truly stood out in how they managed the situation. They went above and beyond. The food was outstanding, and even with the hiccup, we felt incredibly welcome and included—no small feat given our dietary complexities. It’s a real comfort to have a local pub where we feel confident dining. Thank you again to the pub Manager for handling the situation so well and not shunning us away.

However, the food was amazing and the best meal out we've had in a long time. Just wish we didn't live over 150 miles away, as without doubt we would have returned.
