Family run business, owner has 20 years + experience in the business. Recommended all the food. Order fish on arrival as always cooked fresh. Fantastic food, wonderful owner. A place nearby used to be good, but it's not a patch on this place. I guarantee you will love it. Friendly servers, friendly service, and an owner from the past. When there yesterday 20th September 24, the mixed kabab nan is not even half the size it used to be.

Awful food. Jus returned home opened it up and its stale and hard. Looks disgusting also waste not lonely and still hungry bellys to feed. Won't b returning here.

Good food. Atmosphere strained when some young kids stole drinks from cabinet.

The Good :- The kebabs in FRESH nan bread are fantastic and VERY large.The other food is also very good. The Bad :- Be prepared for a wait as many items are cooked to order.

Went here the other night, chips looked old, very over cooked and inedible.

Google says closes at 10pm but arrived to get some chips at 8:45pm and refused service said they have closed - they close early every night never stick to advertised times

Just brought a fish chips and mushy peas from there. What is going ... the standards have dropped soooo much!! Does Alex still own this place because it’s NOWHERE near HIS standards!! Love the service and food by Alex but he wasn’t there and neither was the standard of food! I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years, was served by an Indian guy, the amount of SALT already added in the mushy peas???? Sorry if you still own it Alex, I will be coming back if I see you behind the counter 🙏🏽👌🏽 But if I don’t tell you how can you fix the problem.

Has the chippy changed hands? Went tonight for first time in couple of months! Staff were rude, got our order wrong but didn't know til we got home. How hard is it to do mixed meat kebab on a nann and not put any donner meat in?. Please bring bk the other owners who always had a smile and a lollipop.

I have been in here a few times since the change in management at the venus. I won't go back to the venus. The portion sizes here are immense with very modest prices for the portions. The staff are friendly and efficient. A couple of the staff are also ex venus staff. Says a lot doesn't it! I recommend this chip shop

Arena supplied a party of 29 with a pre-ordered mix of meals, right in a peak-time Friday evening, that was perfect. No mistakes, everything was piping hot & delicious. Totally obliging & professional along with all of the care in the world. ************************************************************************** A year on from my first review, just taken delivery of another bulk order serving 31, which as my review stated a year ago was perfect, which as I expected was delicious, hot, added extras, in fact they did everything to please. Perfect! Thanks to the Arena team.
