Cannot comment on the food but the staff need a good lesson in customer service. Popped in for something to eat only to be ignored for a good 5 minutes before we were even acknowledged. Not a great first impression.

Once you try their coffee you'll totally understand why they are a very popular coffee shop, the coffee itself is excellent, the staff are very happy to help with anything they can, the food looks gorgeous (unfortunately we didn't have any, but other people said theirs was excellent), And they had oat milk for my coffee - I'm dairy and soya intolerant, almost nowhere has oat milk so I was really pleased when they offered it straight away, I normally have to have my coffee black. And even better than the oat milk, they are a dog friendly coffee shop throughout so we could take our dog out to the back to enjoy our coffees.Really well done guys, and thank you so much.

Staff served us without wearing a mask or face shield. Coffee weak, and the milk Jug grubby and chopped. The avocado and courgette cake tasted the same as the carrot cake and that was rotten also. Hmmm why did I choose here?

Waitress didn't wear mask when serving the food and drinks, which was very disappointing considering I thought it was now the law.. The other lady working there did wear a scarf around her face when she came out of the kitchen. Coffee was very nice, and cake was good.

We called about 1.30pm on a wet bank holiday Saturday and got the last table - about 5/6 in all.We enjoyed our clotted cream scone and piece of cake along with a very nice cappuccino and latte. I have to say the cooked meals looked very appetising. I thought the decor was a bit drab and gloomy but my partner liked it. There is a large decent toilet. I had no problem at all with their social distancing measures. For some reason there seems to be a shortage of cafes in Woodhall Spa but this is certainly worth a visit.

We recently visited here and it was ok. Can’t say it was the best as there didn’t seem to be much in place re Social Distancing etc and direction from the staff and then cleaning after people had left tables.Food was good but slightly on the pricey side as well. Unfortunately Archies was just lacking something given the prices they charge.

I have often popped into this cafe for a coffee but this time I had a full English breakfast and I don't think I will bother again. Apart from the 2 fried eggs, everything else was over-cooked. The bacon was tough as it was overdone and the sausages were similar. all this after a 20 minute wait! It was also the dearest full breakfast I have paid for in memory.

I realise it’s a strong claim. But i’m sticking by it. They make the best BLT Sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The staff are all very friendly and polite, and the service is also a pleasure. Since discovering the BLT I’ve also branched out into a Club Sandwich which I can also highly recommend. To boot; the coffee is always spot on and freshly ground Direct Trade, skipping the middleman and giving the coffee sellers the best deal. If you’re in it for the long run the cakes are all home made and tasty and there’s plenty of choice. No matter if it’s a coffee and a natter, or a family lunch. Archie’s is a warm friendly atmosphere and fantastic. Highly recommended.

Visited with a large group of cyclists. An appalling attitude of staff from a very stressed chef having prepare sandwiches for about 8 cyclists to the counter staff of "well go next door if you don't like the menu"!!! Really! when all that was wanted was an egg on toast. I always try and leave positive reviews for places I have visited and usually this is not a problem. I have visited Archie's plenty of times since it opened in Woodhall spa and have always enjoyed the food and the experience. Until today, when we popped in for a light lunch and a drink. It was not to busy but the tables were dirty, we asked for ours to be cleaned and the waitress sprayed and wiped a tiny section, leaving sticky messes all around the edge. We ordered plum bread and cheese which was always a choice, but today consisted of a couple of thin slices of bread and cheap tasteless slices of cheese. Tea came as a pot of hot water with the t bag separate in a slightly grubby cup.

We were looking for somewhere to eat on Sunday afternoon and walked in about 2.10. We stood looking at the menu while other customers were being served. We asked if we could have a chicken sandwich but we were told that you had sold out, so we looked at the menu again and decided on BLT and I asked what kind of lettuce it was (I hate iceberg) which the young lady told me. We were then told that you weren't serving hot food!? As I'm on a limited diet, cheese or tuna wasn't really a suitable option. What I can't understand is why can't you have a sign up, you have all these wonderful signs up displaying all these sandwiches and wraps so why don't you put a sign up or why couldn't someone have said something earlier. And why did you decide to stop after taking the 2 previous customer orders, who we were stood waiting behind. Also there was food still being cooked, so the excuse that the grill had been turned off was a little poor. And why when you're a cafe do you decide to stop serving hot food on a busy Sunday afternoon afternoon?? We took our business elsewhere.

Not a bad place for tea or coffee, but I was disappointed in the fruit scone and wished I had asked for it to be warmed, as it was dry and cold. The only jam available was called strawberry but it bore no resemblence to strawberry jam, more like clear sweet jelly in a little plastic container. The clotted cream was a very small portion. If the jam had been decent quality then a bit of dryness in the scone wouldn't have mattered. I wished I had had cake instead. The tea was very good, however.

I have been visiting this cafe regularly for some years. Last March my partner of 7 years passed away and about roughly 3 months ago I met a lovely man and we are very happy together. We have been visiting this cafe together about once a week. The last time we visited it together was this week the place was totally empty apart from two very bored looking staff. We had our coffee which for once was hot instead of cold . My partner went back off to work I had a few more bits to do and decided to pop back in for half an hour and a cappuccino. On entering the cafe the female member of staff asked me if she could have a word with me outside, this seemed very odd but I went outside with her. She theneeds informed me that my PDA with my partner were not acceptable . Apparently they had received two complaints of which when asked when I could not be told this she seemed not to know. So it is now obvious that putting your arm round someone or holding there hand is a crime if you are in this establishment. I was told a quick peck is acceptable if we really have too. This place is a total joke and my partner and I will never use this place again, it is run by judgmental people who are rude and serve all but cold coffee avoid if going as a couple unless you sit one either end of the cafe and shout to each other !!!!!

I have visited Archie's a number of times and used to find it ok. On my last two visits though, both this year, I have been amazed at how rude the woman behind the counter is! The first time I assumed she was having an off day - on that occasion she was very unhappy with me for not having the correct change and she made a big thing about it. On my most recent visit she was so rude to me and my friends that we actually asked if she would prefer us to go somewhere else (I wish we had now). She clearly didn't want non locals in her cafe as she was incredibly rude to us but sickly sweet with some locals who came in afterwards. Definitely will not be giving her a third chance as there are plenty of other places to go for a drink and cake in the local area.

Having just moved back to the U.K. after 22 years in Australia, a place where great espresso coffees abound, I've struggled to find good espresso or latté anywhere in Lincolnshire... or anywhere else I've travelled thus far in the U.K. However, purely by chance as we were exploring bits of Lincolnshire, we rolled into Woodhall Spa and on spec picked out Archie's. What a find. Our first 9.5 out of 10 latté in months! Turns out there's an Australian connection. The owners' son lived in Melbourne for a year and presumably as a barista. He brought his love of good coffee home and spread the skills to his parents. His mother brewed us a winner. While Archie's is about 25 miles from our home, we'll likely be finding relatively frequent excuses to return! BTW... the lemon drizzle cake was pretty damn good too.

I can only assume Archies has been taken over since the last time I went in. Note to the unpleasant man behind the counter, if you describe a plate of food as one thing do not serve something completely different and think that is ok..... Quite clearly customer satisfaction is not high on his list of priorites as his attitude was very dismissive bordering on rude when I queried that I'd even been given the right order as it bore no resemblance to what I had ordered!! Had our dog with us and thought on a freezing morning great we can go inside somewhere warm. Hot chocolate was nice. But place was freezing due the door was open despite it being about 3C outside. But the worst thing was there was dog hair all over the furniture where dogs have been allowed to sit in chairs. It didn't look like that they had been hoovered for some time. Sausage sandwich was cold too.

This place looks ok from the outside but once inside, it's more like a vetinary waiting room!! Dog's everywhere!! Shaking themselves, sniffing around you, whining etc. I wonder how people would feel if I brought along my car and plonked it on the table? Staff pet the dogs then carry on without washing their hands. Gross! Massive hygiene issues! Avoid!

Looked like just my cup of tea (or more like coffee) from the outside. Independent and caught my eye. Sadly what also caught my eye was the cobwebs and general untidiness of the place. Also the glib signs to 'not fair trade'. I rather like fair trade, I'm sure those that are unfairly treated during coffee production like it too. My tuna and cheese panini was 'rustic'. Cheese sliced in heavy chunks that couldn't melt if it were on the press all day. Has the makings of a nice place but needs some attention to detail.

Good place for lunch or just a drink. Good amount of seating inside and out. The menu gives a good selection and the staff are efficient. Worth a try.

Called for a coffee whilst passing through. Decent coffee, place unclean cobwebs hanging from display unit. Seats filthy, tables tacky. Needless to say if in the area will not be calling in again.

Stopped at Archie's with my mum today for a nice afternoon drink and cake. The service was excellent; all staff were happy to chat and were very accommodating to all of our needs. We sat out the back which was a lovely shaded paradise overlooking the woods. I had the hot chocolate, which was delicious although small in size (the mini marshmallows on the side were a lovely touch), along with a slice of Rocky Road, which again was lovely but quite small. My mum had a pot of tea (very nice and the little jug of milk was wonderfully presented) along with a scone (lovely and large with butter and jam although poor quality jam in plastic pots could certainly be improved). The prices was very reasonable at just over £8 for the lot! Woodhall Spa has a lot of competition in terms of tea rooms and coffee shops but once I've tried all the others I will no doubt be returning!

Sadly, we were not impressed with the coffee we ordered & I certainly felt that I was overcharged for two small cups of coffee at £5.40, I will certainly not be using this cafe again.

A group of 8 - walked in for lunch and the bar woman was aggressive and rude stating the kitchen was closed. Feel she could have said this in a polite nice manner. Also putting a sign in the window would have avoided such an unpleasant experience

4 of us & 2 dogs visited today, 04/22/24, for a pre booked 3 course festive meal. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of portions and quality of the food. The turkey slices were thick, vegetables were not over cooked. Really enjoyed our food.

I have often wanted to sit outside this cafe overlooking the beach/sea but it always seems busy without any spare tables. Today we sat at a spare table and just had a milky coffee each at around 11.00 a.m.. Firstly, the staff were friendly and efficient and the coffee which was very fairly priced was delicious compared to more expensive and pretentious “cafe latte” at other places. ( Thiscafe does offer lattes anyway!). The cafe was immaculately clean and tables were sanitised as soon as people left their tables. It helped that it was a perfect day for weather. 22 degrees with a hint of breeze. We will certainly go again especially as there were many attractive food items on offer at fair prices.

We booked 3 rooms for the family to celebrate my mother in laws birthday in an area where she has very happy memories. All the rooms were lovely and very clean. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you to Yvonne for the gorgeous room for the birthday girl and for the card and gifts, they were so appreciated. This hotel is in a great location with free parking and we would recommend it if you fancy a trip to the coast. Thank you all so much for the great service and attention.

It's October half term and we were staying at Tattershall Lakes. It was so busy we couldn't get through by phone so we popped down and placed our order in person. Having seen they had a delivery to a caravan just along from us we asked if ours could be delivered at the same time (about an hour from ordering) They agreed, the food duly arrived and was delicious. Hot, big portions and even included some non-menu adjustments for our vegetarian daughters. Leftovers were eaten for breakfast before the 5 hour drive home!
