The breakfast we had today was amazing and beats anywhere else in Frodsham for both price and quality, also staff extremely pleasant, obviously the chef is a top class one!! Well done to the new owners, we’ll definitely be back very soon.

Not the sniff of anything vegan despite the listing here. The cafe is under new management as of the last 1 month (so probably Oct 2024). There used to be a couple of vegan items and it was always full to the brim with people. Fast forward to today. Not only do they no longer serve anything vegan (and the owner couldn't have been more firm about this) there was clearly absolute disdain for anyone who isn't satisfied with the new bland 'jacket potato' laden menu. Says he can't make any money selling ANY vegan food so clearly doesn't understand the very basics of cuisine. Owner complained about the previous incumbents and said he'd spent £30k putting right their mistakes. He is making a mistake and his cafe was empty at 1230 on a snowy but perfectly clear Tuesday. Such a shame. I had previously only had good experiences here and to be told (as a customer) that you are not worth catering for cuts a bit deep. If someone can let me know when it is under new management (again - and it will be) I may return but for now - I've been told to get back in my corner and that I will do!

This was one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. The cheese pie tasteless and it was something to be desired. It was mushy and the pastry was rockhard and strange looking .Burgers tasted fishy. Suffice to say I was ill after it so I’m not tempted to order food there again.one positive note is that the cakes are okay.

We have been regular visitors of ARCafe @ Lady Heyes for many years now, from breakfasts and lunches to Christmas meals, and there is a reason for that. The team make you feel welcome and go the extra mile to make sure that you are happy. We often have breakfast here, which never disappoints us and is always of good quality. We would highly recommend this place not just for the atmosphere and the service, but for the food and drink as well.

My friends and I ordered fish & chips x4 which was absolutely disgusting ,the fish was just mush.Another friend ordered salt & pepper chips which weren't edible as they were like eating a pot of salt. When going to complain about this we were given attitude by one member of staff (who looked like she was doing a shift with the local community service )which she went and got the chef which appeared wearing a scruffy man united top ,who also had attitude .We were offered a refund onto our cards which is how we payed but never received .Also the staff member was picking up dog bowls then serving food with no hand washing inbetween. We have been here several times over a few years and aways had a good experience but after this we won't be back it was a shambles of a place .

I was too scared to complain because the staff themselves were complaining themselves! My food was inedible. Tea good.

Staff: excellent and friendly Food: very poor. Sunday roast veg was over cooked and dry. The beef was tough and grisly. Fish in the fish and chips tasted off. Lemon chicken was ok. Not a place we will be eating at again.

I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t end up eating here but what a strange place. My husband went to the counter to order, there was about 5 staff members behind the counter and not one of them moved to serve. Finally my husband ordered a full breakfast for himself, a bacon sandwich for me and some toast and some hash browns for our son. Was told that the extra hash browns had to come out on the full breakfast plate and couldn’t be served on a separate plate even though they weren’t for the full breakfast. My son can’t stand beans so didn’t want to chance the extra hash browns touching the beans. Was then told there was no white bread so he told the server that we would go elsewhere and she looked shocked?? Would return to Ladyheyes campsite but wouldn’t even bother going here again.

As a coeliac it is hard finding places I trust with my food. The Spinner & Bergamot is a delight, they take my auto immune condition seriously and the food is always 5 star. The pub has a real countryside vibe, with a fine dining area at the back. There is great outdoor space for the kids to play, and the staff are always very welcoming.

Not bad for a Sunday roast, not the standard we have at home. Roast potatoes not the best, Yorkshire pudding tastes good but a bit chewy, the lamb was nice, mixed seasonal veg ok , but put on plate like scraping leftovers. Over charged for a pint and large glass of wine that we didn’t have. Final bill after query still over charged for one large glass of red wine, which husband hadn’t realised until we got home. This is the second time this has happened to us in this pub! Shame because I really like it in there and it’s close to home.

Have been quite a few times in the past and liked it. Sadly today we were very disappointed. Under-cooked chips with ham, egg & chips, and not even some peas, a latte which we had to change because it had about 3 shots in it, and 'salad' with starters which consisted of just a bit of shredded lettuce, no tomatoes, peppers, or anything to cheer it up. Perfectly nice staff and pleasant surroundings, but pretty poor food for the price.
