Lovely Afternoon Tea. Sandwiches were very tasty and the scones gorgeous. Didn’t have any of the cakes as we were too full but they were boxed up for us so yet to have them. The alcoholic cocktail was most enjoyable together with the champagne we ordered. Went to another high end hotel last year but we all agreed The Lanesborough was far nicer. The staff were friendly and nothing too much trouble and the ambience was relaxing. Definitely recommend.

This was definitely a waste of my time and money. $300 USD for subpar/unpalatable finger food and desserts and slow service. Please allocate your money to another experience worthwhile

Booked the Bridgerton themed afternoon tea as a 40th Birthday gift. The surroundings were opulent, which, when accompanied by the live pianist (alternating with broadcast music) and the positive vibe from both the guests and staff, made for an altogether wonderful dining experience.

From start to finish it has been an incredible experience! The festive afternoon tea was just amazing. Who knew that chocolate brownie tea could taste so fabulous!! Each member of staff we met were incredible. My daughter had a wonderful birthday so thank you so much.

Unfortunately I can’t recommend the festive afternoon tea based on the quality of service I received.

While pleasant, it’s not worth the money. The staff were very good and the service excellent.

We faced a 30-minute wait for our table despite having a reservation, which was frustrating. When seated, the two of us were placed at a large table that felt awkward and impersonal. The atmosphere lacked the festive charm we were hoping for. There were no carol singers, no seasonal touches like Christmas cake or even a special Christmas tea blend. It didn’t capture the cozy, holiday spirit that makes afternoon tea at this time of year special. For the price, we expected far better. While the food and tea were fine, the overall experience didn’t justify the expense. We’ve been to other places that deliver far more in terms of ambiance, service, and value. If you’re looking for a memorable and festive afternoon tea experience, you might want to explore other options.

Amazing from the minute we walked in . The staff really made the whole experience so attentive and friendly .

all very normal. nothing special, I had high expectations, disappointed. the sandwiches are good, the desserts are tiny and nothing special. the non-alcoholic cocktail is good, the tea is good, but 330 pounds per kg, 1 pound 33 pounds to take it home IS EXCESSIVE!!!!

We had a reservation at 3.45 and arrived early. We asked if we could get in early and were told not at the moment but to wait in the bar and if they could seat us early they would. We thought it would be nice in the bar as a prelude to tea but it was very disappointing . Seated next to us was a couple and she was smoking a vape with billows of smoke all over the place. we complained to one of the servers and she said it wasn’t acceptable and she would speak with her. The guest disappeared for a while and we assumed she had gone outside to smoke. She came back and duly started smoking the vape again. The smell was overpowering and as our table want ready we had to evacuate the bar and stand outside . We complained again to the same server and a manager . We were really looking forward to our tea and this really spilled our relax in the bar. The afternoon tea was just OK. After having tea in another establishment there was no comparison. The tea in the Lanesborough was lukewarm and the food was definitely not worth what they charged. Would not go back and a very disappointing experience.

Thanks for the mini birthday cake for my daughter who is turning 13! We enjoyed the afternoon tea so much on this special occasion with the festive atmosphere!

Ambiance is great and the place is lovely, but the afternoon tea is super overrated and overpriced for what it is.

Lovely staff, beautiful food, very relaxed atmosphere and pretty with all the Christmas decorations. Just a tad expensive, but, it was a special occasion!

It is quite possibly the most beautiful hotel, and tea room in London. The Christmas decor was impeccable, sheer class yet opulent. You felt transported. Staff was impeccable. Bridgerton afternoon tea was fantastic.

Food was nice. Service was very very slow. Seems to be two rooms for afternoon tea - one is much nicer than the other. Think we were in the one that wasn’t so nice. Took 20 mins to ask what we wanted to drink. Took 45 mins to bring the food out. Then we asked for extra sandwiches which seemed to be forgotten, we were waiting ages and had to as again

Beautiful experience at Christmas! The hotel was decorated wonderfully, the staff were friendly, accommodating and attentive and the Bridgerton festive afternoon tea was delicious, with as many sandwiches and tea as you wanted. We were a table of mixed dietary needs and they were about to cater to all our requirements without any fuss. Definitely worth doing and the perfect treat for a Bridgerton fan!

I have previously enjoyed an afternoon tea before a couple of years ago, the service then was faultless, this time the service was good but not as attentive, having said that 2 people in my party were 1st time guests so had nothing to compare to. The e first time I visited was on the summer this time it was a Christmas visit and it was busier.

Best afternoon tea experience we’ve had. Classical and elegant with first class food and service. We were so well looked after throughout our stay! No rush - we spent 4 hours at our table. Just a fabulous experience all round - especially at Christmas!!

Mention spéciale au serveur qui nous a servi le champagne : il ne nous a ni regardés, ni salués, et n’a échangé aucun mot, ce qui a terni l’expérience. Côté nourriture, c’était très satisfaisant dans l’ensemble, hormis la pâtisserie qui était trop gélatineuse à mon goût. Malgré ces points négatifs, nous avons tout de même passé un bon moment.

stepped into another world after the chaos outside so busy in knightsbridge. very warm welcome from doormen reception cloakroom. beautiful decorations and a fabulous table. food was exquisite and very attentive service. offered more sandwiches and tea and were not rushed at all very lovely christmas treat from my son and daughter in law.

Just a truly beautiful setting, sandwiches decent, sweet deserts, artistic and tasty, scones and condiments beautiful, with a glass of champagne, £105 a head, also sandwiches and sweets are unlimited, so a true bargin. Extra special at Christmas time.

It did not live up to my expectations. The service was pretty normal, not as polite and elegant as the one I got at the Goring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea at the Lanesborough. The selection of teas was great and quite different, the sandwiches and sweets were lovely and their presentation was fantastic and the overall atmosphere, paired with the piano playing, was wonderful. Every single member of staff we encountered were super friendly and welcoming and made the experience really memorable. Can't wait to return!

Bad food, bad service and more thab 100 pounds oer head! Huge disappointment

Bridgerton Afternoon tea - we sat in the raised area around the main regency room. We were eating at 12.30 on a Monday so nice and quiet. Piano music lovely and the food was exceptional . We were not rushed at any point and the sandwiches and themed cakes were lovely and gooey. The lemon curd with the scones was really good - there was strawberry jam as well. We were asked if we want more sandwiches and I was provided with a box to take a couple of cakes home.

5 star Afternoon Tea experience. This is the second time I have visited for Afternoon Tea. I've previously visited for The Freda Experience & have always wanted to come back. So it was a real treat coming with my son & his girlfriend seeing the hotel so beautifully dressed up for Christmas. I have to thank all the staff who make the experience so special for us. The attention to detail & the fact that every single member knew it was my son's birthday really makes The Lanesborough standout from the crowd & my second visit even better than my first.

The staff were so attentive and the service was fantastic. The piano player was also amazing! The food was incredible and so was the Bridgerton cocktail. I would definitely recommend afternoon tea at The Lanesborough.

Undeniable in a rich vibrance that kept my wife and I sighing with joy and sadness. Joy from the bubbly merriment of the experience. Sadness from the crashing realization that it wasn’t forever. Would suggest as the premiere experience for afternoon tea this holiday season.

From the second you enter the Lanesborough Hotel you are greeted with a warm welcome and that warmth continues all the way through every staff member that you come in contact with while in the hotel. The Bridgerton Inspired afternoon tea was faultless. As someone who loves, respects the craft of afternoon tea and attends afternoon tea 6-8 times a year I categorise my experiences in alphabetical order A,B,C,D & F. I place my experience of this afternoon tea at the top of my A group. Thank you to all the staff at the Lanesborough Hotel for not only making my birthday special but for the amazing afternoon tea a wonderful experience.

Tea was lovely but £98 per person a bit steep so definitely a special occasion place.

The service was exceptional, with our server attending to every detail, including frequent tea refills, ensuring we were well taken care of. With guests visiting from abroad, it was the perfect setting for a memorable afternoon. Thank you for making it special. We really enjoy having afternoon tea and this one was exceptional. The atmosphere is superb, the staff is excellent in every way, and of course the food was delicious. The selection of different teas is refreshing. I strongly recommend the Bridgerton tea. Try it even if you are a fan of a more traditional variety.  Special menus are available, and the selection of gluten-free items was excellent for my partner  Was it rather expensive, yes, but well worth it for an exceptional afternoon experience.

Fantastic experience, our afternoon tea was amazing ,the staff all went above and beyond to make us feel special. I’ve never been to a hotel where everyone was so friendly and made us so welcome.

The tea was really good but bécame very bitter very quick as they leave the tea bags inside the tea jars all the time. If you know tea, you know that after 2-3 minutes, depending on the type of tea, you have to remove the tea bags or will bécame bitter. The pastries were too sweet for my taste. Scones and their condiments were delicious, as the sandwiches.

The food was very nice. Beautifully presented cakes but the ambience of a Bridgerton tea was disappointing. Had afternoon tea on a Friday expecting the very least the music in the background.. or the waiters / waitress’s dressed up in Bridgerton attire but there was nothing like this - could have been having afternoon tea anywhere :(. Wouldn’t recommend for value or ambience if you’re expecting Bridgerton.

First visit here. The Bridgestone tea experience delivered as promised. As a huge fan of the series, I was a bit sceptic but it was worth it. I enjoyed everything from start to finish. Also the entrance, the way we were greeted made us feel very welcome. Hats off to the chefs that created all these little festivities. And a huge compliment to the staff and waiters. Looking forward to a next visit.

I understand that when you’re a 2 top, one should not expect to sit on a 4 top table but when you know there’s not going to be at full capacity, give the 2 tops more room seeing that your tables are not that big and seat them ay a larger table.

Perfect hospitality for an enjoyable afternoon tea.

We’ve been very disappointed. The hotel is beautiful and the tea room too, but that’s it. Giving the price tag one could expect not only good quality food but also a great service. The food was without any taste, the staff came to ask after ONE HOUR if we want anything else. We got to drink just one tea cause noone offered another one. At the end you get the super high bill with a service charge included

Once again the Lanesbrough hasn't failed, it was a fabulous afternoon tea highly recommended. Although it's has put its prices up by £10 per person it is still worth it.

We went for the bridgeton afternoon tea. The service was great and very attentive. The chicken sandwiches had bones in them. The sandwiches were bland and not much flavour. The desserts were very mediocre. The afternoon tea was not worth the price. Was better off going to the ritz for the same value but better quality.

We tried several afternoon tea’s during our London visit and this was by far the best experience! The Service is incredible, they truly work as a team to ensure your visit is enjoyable and to help guide your teas selections. The Bridgerton theme tea was even better in person. The pastries where made to replicate items from the show!

Absolutely incredible experience! I was given the afternoon tea as a birthday gift and it was amazing! Everyone in my party felt well looked after, the staff were attentive but not over the top. The staff also made it extra special as it was my birthday. I would highly recommend this experience and the hotel itself! I can’t praise the staff enough.

My sister and I have always made it a point to stop for afternoon tea at this hotel whenever we visit London, and it’s usually a highlight of our trip. Unfortunately, this time around, it missed the mark. The service was nowhere near what we remembered — we waited a full 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order. As for the food, the finger sandwiches were decent, but the cakes were disappointing. There was no variety in texture, just the same thing repeated, except for one cake. The only saving grace were the scones, which were thankfully as great as ever, along with the tea. Sadly, we won’t be coming back unless they update their menu. It just wasn’t the experience we’ve come to expect.

A beautiful experience from start to finish and I would truly recommend the Bridgerton themed afternoon tea. The cocktail list in the bar is wonderfully named with lots of different choices and the staff throughout were attentive. It was my friend's 60th and she even got a bday card from the Lanesborough, plus a cake with a candle. A lovely day was had by all.

I went there for three times and the most satisfying experience I had when I met Lilly 🐈 and the people working there was so much kind and being so nice. From the doormen to the people working at the reception desk. First twice visits were not that successful to meet her 🫠 but finally I did this visit. I totally recommend this hotel 🏨 from all aspects location and service. My next trip will be definitely stay there.

Still my favorite afternoon tea in london and I’ve been to quite a few. The combination of the attention to detail with the themes including Queen Charlotte and Bridgeton, the tea selection and quality, the service from the staff, the ambience including the pianist and not being sat too closely together creates a lovely relaxing experience. The pastry chef is amazing as they are so well made and perfectly balanced. 10/10 afternoon tea experience again. Thanks The Lanesborough

I met with my friend in their lounge, the Withdrawing Room. Super nice welcoming service from door to table and beyond. I had an apricot green tea I have never tried before and enjoyed it very much. And also a delicious chocolate mousse. Exquisite room with elegant furnishings boosted our good mood. What's more, I had a chance to see a cat who lives there. 🙂. I am grateful to all the staff who talked to us, making us welcome and comfortable. Really, N1. P.S. This is not the first time I was at the Lanesborough. I had lunch in the Grill, afternoon tea for one of my birthdays, and my daughter's wedding there... And always it was special. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A very beautiful afternoon spent with my Dad celebrating his 80th birthday! He got special treatment when he was presented with a handwritten card and a mini cake with a candle! My Dad was overjoyed that they went to that effort! All the staff were polite, professional and efficient. The food was amazing and the patisserie was professionally crafted! We loved it all! We’d chosen coffee to start with which was delicious, and then went to try the afternoon tea blend. I would definitely return again as the standard of service was high and the room had a fabulous atmosphere with music in the background!

A London classic. One of the best by all means. The lobby area is so cosy and warm. The staff are friendly and attentive.

It was splendid! They were very accommodating about my running late to my reservation. The food, the service, and overall experience was amazing!

The atmosphere is great, the hall is beautifully decorated, the reception was very welcoming. Pastries are gorgeous! I would widen the tea offer. The selection is too short. Anyway, definitely a place to go back to (this was my second time)!

Enjoyed the Bridgerton Afternoon Tea for my sister’s birthday. From walking through the Lanesborough Doors, the staff were very welcoming. The ambience was amazing, just what we expected and more. We enjoyed a variety of delicious teas and couldn’t finish the variety of succulent, mouthwatering sandwiches and pastries. We were given so much attention and all the staff were so friendly. Topping it is obviously the Bridgerton Menu with a letter from Lady Whistledown. Brilliant.

As a once in a life treat, this is a must-do. Firstly the food is sublime. We're both vegans, and often we feel a bit short-changed compared to our omnivorous cousins, but not a bit of it at the Lanesborough. Presentation, taste, texture, subtlety were all there in spades. You get loads as well, we were offered more and they gave us a very posh doggy bag to take the excess away. Secondly service was just right, leaving us feeling special without being obsequious. Thirdly, the setting and ambience were first rate, with great seats and plenty of space. It's a lot of money, but what an experience! Highly recommended

Old dish (sandwiches were horrible: too much bread, somon didn't taste good, chicken was blend, no taste it was like something was missing), I was not able to choose the champagne I want, it was imposed and the one served was a disaster. 5 stars hotel and you put on table rusty forks?? Shame on you especially for the huge price paid! Deserts saved the afternoon. Tea was good, but first cup was more water because they didn't let it take the aromas.

I had the gluten free option with some special requests for the sandwich (items I do not like). They were able to accommodate me. I really enjoyed the food, the drinks, the tea and the atmosphere. I was full but appreciate being offered more of the sandwiches and cakes if I wanted. I really enjoyed the experience.

The atmosphere is great, the staff is kind although pretty forgetful.. The issue is the food, it is bland and tasteless. In both the sweet and salty all we could taste was the butter. The only redemption was the salmon sandwiches, and when we asked for more of them they never came.

The Bridgerton Afternoon Tea was delightful and such an amazing experience. The service was outstanding and we were treated with the utmost respect and attention.

Probably the best afternoon tea I have had anywhere in London, and definitely the best scones, so light and not too large. It was my Aunts 95th Birthday and everyone was so attentive and polite, from the gentlemen who met us at the hotel entrance and all of the staff in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend the Lanesborough and hope to be back again soon.

The venue was beautiful. The Bridgerton theme was fun and well depicted in the afternoon tea. Our table wasn’t ready at the time we had booked for. I was a little disappointed that there was no background music. I was expecting some Bridgerton themed music. There was a piano behind us but no one there playing it. We paid £220 for two so I’d have expected a bit more for the money. The staff were friendly and the service overall was good.

I visited the Lanesborough in October, 2024 for a Bridgerton themed Afternoon Tea. This was the highligh of my visit to London and I recomend it to anyone thinking about it. The food was out of this world. The scones were warm and delicious, the pass were super interesting, but what really surpriced me were the finger sandwiches. I did not think that they could be made to be so delicious and yet they were. Additionally, I ordered the Friends to Lovers cocktail, which is a twist on a margarita, and despite not being a huge fan of margaritas, I enjoyed it so much that I ordered a second one. Futhermore, the service was impeccable. The waiters managed to be super attentive, yet they were not overbearing/annoying. We also did not have to wait at all for anything as everything arrived super fast. Lastly, the restaurant itself was incredibly beautiful and exactly as it was on photos online. The experience does come with a large bill but it is definitely worth it. You do get what you pay for and it shows in the food and service. Unlike other places, it is not overpriced overhyped experience.

Beautifully presented food but very little reference to Bridgerton. No music , no props. Very expensive for what it was

I was surprised that we were served tea using teabags and not loose leaf tea which I would expect in a 5 star hotel. Vegetarians are well catered for, although the cakes were all very sweet.
