Been a couple of times recently, had a gorgeous breakfast on one occasion, lovely quality produce, and another time for coffee and cake, wow the cake was special.

We as a family visit the cafe for lunch when we meet up a few times a year. Rachel always looks after us with a big welcome and Smile, she is always the same never changes and is an asset to the cafe. D Cochrane

I wish there was a minus for the rating on this restaurant. Went for Sunday lunch and it took a long time for someone to actually take our order, eventually someone came and I ordered a hot pork bap with roast potatoes; we had a child with us and my daughter asked if she could also have a child's meal as she hadn't been well recently, she was told NO! as it would affect the VAT - my daughter said that they could add the vat on but the server was not interested. My daughter just ordered a side of fries....sad Our meals came over 1 hour later - ridiculous......the pork bap was not a roast pork bap - more of a thin bacon chop bap and was done in a pan and not roasted, the roast potatoes were obviously done in a chip fryer as they were cooked on the outside but hard on the inside. Just not a nice place and I will tell everyone that.

Had pizza and oh my god got to be the best pizza ever had, credit to the new management. We use to go Albrighton fish bar but this chippy has moved with the times. Chips are fresh and it’s cashless so no need to go co-op to get cash.

What a find we were staying at Ludlow Touring site and booked Sunday lunch at The Wheatsheaf . The pub was really welcoming warm and comfortable. We were two couples who went for Sunday lunch and we all agreed it was the best Sunday lunch we had had at a pub and really good value . The beef and lamb were really tender and there was a good selection of vegetables all cooked perfectly. The service was good and nothing too much trouble. Thank you for making our first visit a success

Not the sort of language you expect on a review and most certainly not the language I expect from self confessed hungover bar staff as they fall in for their shift at midday, I would have been inclined to let the first f*** go as it was obvious the member of staff didn't realise there was a family with 2 children in the room and although not directed at us there was at least a moment of realisation and apology. HOWEVER, 2 s***s and a sciatica related f*** later and we were speechless. There is obviously a staff shortage as one of the rants was related to having to complete split shifts as the manager isn't willing to just pick one CV from the 20 he has and employ them on the spot with no interview or trial, I can only imagine that's how this particular member of staff got their job. James, you could try the barmans mate, apparently she is as keen as mustard, I would rather run a customer facing business short of staff than have customers endure this sort of behaviour. I won't name names but I'm sure James the manager can line up the sciatica comment or maybe even DNA test the lip stick marks on the window from the night before that they were so proud of, referring to them selves as a bunch of 'window lickers', appalling! I have a feeling this review may even be a badge of honour.

Poor staff coping admirably, cream tea sounded goof. Crockery very badly chipped, teapot spout, cup, teapot, this always makes u hope china bits aren't inside! Little organisation, long queue, one till, no instruction for a first time visitor, not even written on the menu. And the dreaded give customers as little milk as possible in a very leaky minute jug. I don't often write a bad review but this was not good. Management seemed missing.
