Absolutely horrible....sent over a horrible beef vindaloo which was suppose to be lamb balti which i couldnt even eat, nann bread was rock hard n onion barjis was sloppy stale thing....all in all was just terrible

Called in on the off chance on Saturday Evening and was very pleased we did. A very warm welcome by all staff members. Beautiful food and Good portion sizes. Great value. Lovely owner and staff. Highly recommend and will call in again when visiting.

Appalling food , tandoori grill has no flavour and no sauce , masala fish was very dry and not worth the money paid , I called the restaurant who were very rude , very unhelpful and didn’t want to admit that the food wasn’t to standard - do not use this service as you will disappointed

First time at this restaurant, bit wary after reading some reviews. The food was absolutely delicious such big portions. Staff helpful and food was served to perfection. Will definitely return, and would definitely recommend to others.

We found this place by chance on the way home from a lovely day in Shrewsbury. The staff were kind and hospitable. The food itself was hot, fresh and tasty. The building was very old and eclectic which added to the experience. Only downside was it felt like a never ending corridor to visit the toilet! But I found it eventually. We would definitely return for food here and would recommend!

Warm greeting, we phoned ahead to check for gluten free. They made us very aware what was gluten free and wasn’t and if they could do something more they would try. Really fresh popadoms served (which can make a change in some places). I arranged for two of my dishes to have ingredients taken out, and oh my how delicious was the dishes, it was the best I had for a long while (forgot the name but it was banana, pineapple with chicken tikka) had the banana removed, & garlic and coriander Nann (without the garlic) both were amazing, great quality, & quantity, eat far too much. Hubby wasn’t gluten after meal so we know they are very careful. Definitely will return on our next visit to this wonderful city

The food was alright tbh. The young lad doesn’t know what he’s doing. Tried Tandoori Chicken and Sag Paneer along with some rice. I asked if I can takeaway the curry left. The guy packed both together in the same container. Bad service!

Great night out honestly best Indian I had pleasant nice staff you must visit it’s a hidden gem I must recommend the ramna special if you like seafood and lamb. Ask the staff for any help they are great

Curry was watery. Some naans were cold. Chips soggy and lacked masala flavouring.

Where do I begin, went in today good Friday. The place is grubby and tired. I felt like we stepped back in time. Could imagine Del Boy sitting in the corner. The starter was awful we had the chicken and paneer shashlik. The chicken was luke warm at best but it was served sizzling. The paneer was microwaved and had sause poured over it. No marinating. For the main we had lamb balti. This was the worst I ever had. The lamb was not fit for human consumption. Now for the basic mess ups. Young staff don't know what they are doing. When the mains arrived waited 5 mins for the plates at they had a call. Someone moaning about the food on just eat. Cobra beer was flat. It's a shame that I can not find one positive to this place. Walked out £40 down and now in the loo writing this message. Please avoid.

I’ve been a customer for 20 years. The Ramna is one of the best in the West Midlands for an old school balti cooked individually in a Balti pan. There’s no where else in Shrewsbury that still serves it this way.

if i could give 0 stars i would. extremely rude customer service. somehow make curry taste dry. Don’t include everything you order for delivery and scream at you if you say they didnt pack everything. My boyfriend went in to tell them they missed something, manager got two of his men to watch him. Just utterly outrageously horrendous people. DO NOT GO HERE!!

Staff communicated very well, food arrived as expected and was very warm. They even added free food to compensate for dessert availability. Would order again

Most of the items where absolutely delicious and fresh. Some of the poppadoms where soft but that is being picky. 100% would recommend. Brilliant food.

Would be nice to have a free yogurt dip with the poppadoms spent over 26 pounds, others do free extras otherwise food was good.

Terrible food, pretty sure the curry came out of a jar (and not even a decent brand), the poppadoms and chips just tasted of greasy oil and the chutneys where like water, the only good point where the naan bread, not that there were anything tasty to eat it with, if there was an option on this app to claim a refund I would without hesitation

Pretty basic fare. Papadum condiments tasteless. Karahi ok but unmemorable. Good place for NASA to train due lack of atmosphere. Wouldn’t allow bill split on card which (despite protestations of owner) is pretty unique. Seriously; there are friendlier and better curries in town 😕

We visited for the first time and this is the best authentic Indian restaurant I have eaten at for a very long time. I had the garlic chicken balti which was outstanding, with a real depth of flavour in the sauce. The rice and Nan bread was really well cooked and equally delicious. The service was very friendly and professional. My Wife and I will be back real soon.

Poppadoms we’re stale and bendy, both curry’s were Luke warm with 4 or 5 bits of chicken in them. Would not order from here again.

It is increasingly hard to find authentic Indian restaurants serving well-prepared food that hasn't been commoditized into sweet/bland tourist fare. Ramna Balti is the real deal. The ingredient quality is excellent and the preparations are flavorful and with the right amount of heat for the items--NOT too spicy, and I am not big on heat. The manager, Mr. Khan, is "old school" and second generation in the restaurant. Alas, few of the next generation want to go into the demanding restaurant profession. My wife and I had two excellent dinners and will happily return when next in the West Midlands.

9/9/23 Gorgeous Indian meal ,best nann ever,Staff & owner nothing too much trouble ,food fab ,could not get a taxi home ,so owner told restaurant delivery driver to take us ,above and beyond service, will be back soon ,if you in Shrewsbury diffo go here for a meal

Not a mixed grill no sheekabab or lamb tikka just chicken

Poppadoms and naan bread was missin mg so had to wait for delivery ☹️. Poppadoms were stale, onions bhajees were not fresh. Chilli tikka chicken was just tomato sauce ☹️

Masala chips missing just sent normal chips

A great meal that followed a fun packed evening at the Madness gig. Poppadoms for starters followed by shish kebab. Main meal was Chicken Tikka Shashilk, Lamb Achari, Peshwari Naan. As a couple we wanted to have a proper evening out, when you work doors it doesn't happen. Would i visit again, absolutely. Cheers to the staff for a great end to the evening. Back a year later, cheers.

Great food, quick service, fair delivery charge

Amazing!!! Best curry we've had in a long time. Generous portions too. Had a tikka masala and a korma and cannot praise the chefs enough. Also very nice delivery guy.

Waited over an hour and half for delivery

Shrewsbury has some surprisingly good curry houses and this is amongst the best. Particularly tasty and consistent tarka daal. They do a pretty good meal offer with a starter, main, side dish, rice or naan and poppadoms for £19.95. Lovely wood panelling in the dining room.

Mains were nice with good portions (chicken bhuna, korma and rogan josh) apart from the prawn dopiaza which was overly "frozen fishy" taste/texture for the prawns themselves. The main downside was the nans were really chewy and not fresh tasting, the poppadom (of which we literally got 1 as a serving size) was stale. The cartons were also absolutely covered in oil which stained our table surface badly when getting them out of the delivery bags.... not the best.

Food was ok. Not as nice as the last time we ordered. Butter chicken contained a lot of onions and veg that we haven’t seen from any other take away. We preordered the food to be delivered after our son was in bed. However it arrived 15 minutes early meaning he was still awake and we couldn’t eat straight away

Dear oh dear … the patron was hardly on a charm offensive ce soir; i clearly did not lighten his darkness .i found him him intimidating until his nonchalant scooping of my tikka chicken onto my plate also garnished my mobile phone . He did respond sharpishly to request for a serviette but i was already in a mauvais humeur . The food was not a redeeming feature of my visit; how on earth does one make a tasteless curry?
