Red Rose Oswestry in Shropshire

Surprisingly good Indian in Oswestry. Whilst they have all the standard dishes you would expect, it's the fresh herbs that really make the taste difference. Definitely with a visit.

arrived cold I mean cold cold. rang store to complain told to microwave all for 30 seconds. we threw the whole meal away. the oil was heart attack level on all starters and theaond were flavourless full of oil the cre had curdled in my prawn main . have used before but can honestly say I jave never in my life tasted such a bad meal.

beautifully cooked food, we really enjoyed it. 😊 would highly recommend 👌.

This town is perfectly commutable from Lake Vynrwy, they are very attentive ,food is excellent tasty and very reasonably priced. Small but well decorated and quality linen. A gem

Awful customer service. AVOID. We placed a large order and the updates kept changing for delivery. After the third time, i contacted the restaurant to see what the issue was. The staff member was very rude to the point i had to highlight i am now recording the call , as i was utterly disgusted at how i was being spoken to. The restaurant claimed they wouldn’t deliver to us as we were too far (despite stating they deliver in our area) , but had already prepared the order. I had to go through a third party company to battle for a refund. Eventually i got it rectified ( through no help of the restaurant) through just eat who immediately refunded our order. It worries me that if i had gone direct through them i may not have got my refund. UTTERLY DISGRACEFUL

The delivery driver was excellent! Called 2 minutes before arrival stating he will be with us with our food! Very friendly and polite 👍🏼 the food was amazing to finish it off ! Would highly recommend 100 percent

Brilliant food, quality and portion size. Food was delicious had the four course set menu which was great value and choice. Excellent service for dads birthday meal. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be returning.

Brilliant food. We went last night for my dad's birthday. We had the 4 course menu which is very reasonably priced and the portion sizes were huge. The food tasted delicious and the service was fab. We left with full tummies and even bought some leftovers back as too much to eat. . Will definitely be returning. Lots of people having takeaways restaurant relatively quiet definitely recommend to anyone wanting a tasty Indian meal.

This is our first time ordering here. The lamb is unfortunately over cooked and my partner can't eat it.. unfortunately won't be ordering again....

driver had wrong address than one stated and was given plain naan instead of garlic

Waited an hour for them to deliver our takeaway last night. An hour later they cancelled the order. We were left with no food and no car. Tried to call them and they would not answer our calls after calling multiple times. Tried their food before and it was below average but thought it may have been a one off. WILL NOT BE TRYING AGAIN.

Gave them a try as they were the only Indian takeaway within Oswestry that had a 5/5 hygiene rating and did delivery. Was not disappointed. Food was great and arrived very quickly on a Friday evening. Will be ordering again

Order food 18.45 for a 8pm delivery. Had a message saying it was going to be delivered at 8.10, but didn’t arrive until well pass 8.50.

Amazing! The hygiene ratings a 5, the staff were very polite and efficient. The food we received we could not fault and it was delicious and plentiful. Thank you to all the staff at the Red Rose. We will most definitely visit you again.

Every week we keep coming back as every time our food is stunning, we get a warm welcome. We long for a Friday night when we can treat ourselves to a fantastic meal . This place deserves a medal for its food , staff out of this world THANK YOU

Shocking, charge £5 delivery, + service charge? and then arrive 1/2 hr late? talk about taking it... Inedible cold chewy chips & nan, a sag with raw onion that just tasted of salt, inedible. Tandoori Chicken so full of food colouring that's all you could taste & looked it never saw the inside of a fan oven, let alone a tandoori one! I could go on... with a spend of over £40, money is too hard earned to be dish up ..... like that, or was the 6 tubs of unordered yog & mint & 3 pops supposed to make up for it..I was angry, the lot went in the bin. Never again.

This is definitely my favourite curry house. My friend and I went for the set menu choosing a few dishes, all of which were exceptional, and for such a great price! The service was amongst the best I’ve ever experienced and I’ll be sure to come back soon! 5 stars all round

How a restaurant can go from five to one star. Used this takeaway frequently, always a few issues for example food not warm enough, naan bread stone cold just little things but still enjoyed. But the last takeaway was a absolute disaster… Items missing, food cold, think there was one chicken breast used through 3 meals. Just little flecks of chicken. One portion of chips wasn’t enough to feed a toddler never mind a additional item to a meal. After discovering items were missing I called the restaurant to discuss, greeted by someone who couldn’t give me a straight answer and kept laughing at me down the phone. Agreed on a refund for the items but wouldn’t refund me through just eat, they were going to drive out with cash. Never shown up. In future I’ll take my business to many of the other great establishments in Oswestry.

Food was bland. Onion bhaji was soggy. Rice dishes were missing from our order. Delivery was 45mins late. Here on holiday but if this was my local takeaway I wouldn't order from them again.

First time ordering from this place and I ordered 2 items and i won't be doing it again the driver took ages to deliver my food by the time it reached me it was cold i spoke to the driver and told him he ensured me its fine because of the bag it was brought in the korma was discusting and cold the onion bhaji was poorly made and also cold and the free popadoms were stale tried to phone the place multiple times and had no answer very disappointed😡

My son ordered 2 korma's and both smelt and tasted as though the yogurt had gone sour. They sent a replacement and exactly the same problem so it went in the bin. AVOID

Ordered via just eat. Food never arrived, driver tried insinuating that we were lying about the post code...even after I shared via text our location on Google maps. Restaurant kept calling saying what did they expect them to do if they can find us. We told them repeatedly since its been over 2 hours to refund us. They even tried to suggest that we walk to the end of the street (at 9pm !) We got a full refund via just eat.

Delivered an hour late, hung up on the first time we called them, complete rudeness the second time… everything turned up cold, they even told us just not to order from them again… most certainly won’t be! And recommend everyone else does the same.

Ordered for 9.15pm on app as I was picking up in town, pinged through at 8.30pm saying it’s ready, they take no notice of times - resulting in a luke warm Indian meal. Won’t be going back. Poor.

Really disappointed, ordered a meal from yourselves at 18.50pm for it to finally arrive 20.20pm COLD……. I would like £31.34 refund please.

WOMEN PLEASE READ This place used to be great, but things have changed. I ordered a meal-deal, the chips were stale, the curry seemed to have had a pound of sugar poured into it, the poppadums were so stale they were bendable and everything was cold. They may just have been having a bad night, but the delivery driver is my biggest issue. Never have I been made to feel so uncomfortable. He wouldn't leave, he asked if I was single, he told me he was a single father, and asked if I lived alone, the attempts at flirting just went on. I had the awful feeling all night he was going to come back. He was creepy and I was on edge. He crossed the line and needs more than talking to. Luckily, I have CCTV, and a whacking great dog, but I should not have to put up with being come on to when I order a takeaway! I'll never order from this place again for fear it's him who will deliver.
