Antro's Fish & Chips in Halton

Absolutely beautiful! A lunchtime visit, treating my father-in-law to fish and chips. The freshly battered fish was flaky and delicious, the batter remained crispy until the final mouthful. The chips were chunky and piping hot. I’ll definitely be back!

We called in to Antro's for our tea. First time we have been here and will not hesitate to return should we be in this area . In fact why not make a special trip. All the staff were polite and excellent hygiene is maintained throughout. The premises were also immaculately turned out. Our food was piping hot and beautifuly cooked and social distancing was in force and being adhered to. For the record we had Fish chips mushy peas and curry x1 and fish chips mushy peas and gravy x1 . Highly recommended.

Well what can I say!!!! I fancied a chippy tea and thought I'd try this chippy as it is newly refurbished. I ordered two lightly battered cod, when got home there were 4 regular cod in two separate boxes, lightly battered........ I don't think so, It was thick and soggy almost like it was wrapped in a pancake and deep fried - disgusting 🤢 I also ordered a medium chips and peas but I got chips and curry instead. Never had such a bad chippy curry sauce, again it was disgusting! Why didn't I go to Terry's - well next time I will be going to Terry's!!!!

Bought a meal from here whilst passing..had bad stomach for a week..food poisoning....one to avoid. I am sorry i stopped to try it..worst mistake i have made. Think they must have a hygene issue.

The food is okay apart from microwaved heated pies. But it's the owner, she's positively hostile, always rude and has absolutely no customer service. It doesn't take much to greet customers with a smile and not be rude

Tried out this place and so glad I did! Ste is very chatty and was very welcoming. Food was made to order so had to wait. Boy was it worth the wait! Not the cheapest but very nice. Will use again without question.

One of the best chippy in town, great value for money, excellent service, even does Sunday dinners what more could you want from a chippy. Defo going back

Ste is very polite,talks to you why your waiting. and alway thanks you for waiting, as you do wait as everything is cooked fresh, so i didnt mind waiting.Got one of his specials amongst other things, food was great,hot and fresh.Great little chippy.

Usually a great chippy with good food and a smiling face (from the man). But i have just found out that the hygiene rating is only one star and i am furious. I have used this place for a number of years but wont anymore.
