Ordered for 6, 1 order was for chicken strips on a bed of fries. Had to pay £4.60 extra after going to the bar to ask why no fries. Got a small bowl of chips that according to the menu are £2.99. Will never go again.

Enjoyable visit today with my family for a meal. Carvery was delicious really lovely and the choice of meat and fresh vegetables is the best in the area, plus such good value for a money. We ordered desserts and the choice is great and generous portions. The children’s play area is great for kids to play and families to relax and enjoy a meal. Disappointed to hear this place is closing and being made a steak house, already have those in the area . The carvery will be missed and the play area for families who want a relaxing atmosphere to visit with kids as currently this place offers both burgers , carvery and something for everyone with the large menu. Will miss visiting this place for meals.

cold food gravy was like water this restaurant has gone downhill

Good breakfast value for money. Buffet style English breakfast, and bottomless tea or coffee. Food was average, nothing overly fantastic. Can stay stay all morning.

Nice place to enjoy a meal whilst little ones have some fun in soft play. Very generous desserts.

Stopped in for a carvery on Sunday. i had turkey with mine and it was the most melty turkey I've had in a while. All the veg was piping hot and thick gravy. Lovely

Gutted to hear this is changing hands. All my family love the place. Steak house will go down like a lead balloon I pray somehow farmhouse inns change their minds. No one in Thornaby can afford steak we all nick it from Aldi round here.

Food was gorgeous and the staff were lovely, especially the woman at the front in the long floral dress who seated us. What a lovely woman! She was like a breath of fresh air and lovely bubbly personality, really made our days.

Such a lovely place to come for a wholesome cooked meal and wonderful family time. Beautiful food!

Sadly this place is closing down in August. Not a bad place, a bit understaffed but the food is great.

The best place to go with Family & Friends. Food is always fresh and tasty. Kids are happy playing on soft play. I would like to say that Ryelea and Mick are fantastic ! Very friendly and helpful ! They have a lot of experience, top quality service!

Was very disappointed, food was cold and it wasn't at the normal standard. The plates were given from the bar and the toast has to be made by yourself which is very difficult as for a disabled person juggle. Both the service snd food was poor.

first time ever going here chips where hard and not nice seemed like frozen fries. the burger and garlic bread tasted really nice no issue there. i was thinkinking id get more than 2 bits of garlic bread for £5. but now i know thank you :)

Dinner with the girls. It was a lovely evening, we all had a carvey! The bar staff were friendly and quick with the service. The chef was friendly and funny, we all had a joke whilst getting our dinner. All the waiting staff were attentive to the cleanliness of the tables and surrounding areas. All the staff in general were polite, friendly and happy. The carvery was lovely as always and everything was stocked up. We also do come here for lunch at work and it never disappoints. Would recommend, Elle at the end was super friendly and helpful.

Its good solid food. I really liked the Yorkshire pud wrap. Didn't really need that much mustard lol. Saw some people who go the buffet...looked great big mounds of food. Not pricey

Terrible service at one point there was around 14 people waiting to get served at the bar and one member of staff , the play area was so bad with kids fighting and running riot with no parents to be seen , our 18 month granddaughter couldn't play because there was kids far to old in the baby area jumping around and fighting.

It's just like all the other brewers fair pubs. Food is edible, kids kept happy and the drinks are the usual brands. Basic food and drink.

I have been visiting Anson Farm for years now ,and it never fails to disappoint. The food is always hot,fresh, and cooked to perfection. I had the gammon carvery, and the gammon just melted in my mouth. I love the variety of veg on offer, and the Yorkshire puddings are always spot on. I couldn't manage a cake away this time, but their desserts are to die for. This is the perfect place to bring a family with its kids' play area and a microwave to warm bottles or baby food. The staff are always friendly and go the extra mile, and this visit was no different. I'd like to give a special mention to Jacob, who greeted us and Jess who took the time to familiarise us with the app,eventhough they were both rushed off their feet during a very busy Mother's Day. It is so nice and refreshing to see young people enjoying their job and having great attitudes at work. Thank you we will be back soon 🙏

Full marks for Anson Farm, and a particular shout out to young Jessica, the waitress who was obviously run off her feet busy, but still took the time to show us how to use the app to order our food. We'd have been stuck in a rather ominous queue otherwise, but no, Jessica saved the day, we ordered our tickets on the app & sat down to a hearty meal. The food was excellent. Everything was hot & fresh. We had a carvery each and the turkey just melted in my mouth. The vegetables and sauces were all very good too, only little gripe being that some of the cauliflower & broccoli were a tad underdone, but no great issue. The sprouts were delicious & pretty much the whole meal was spot on. It's also refreshing to see young people who take care of their patrons, every pub needs a Jessica. Top marks all round!!

Friendly staff and decent food. I had sirloin steak and it can be hit or miss on weither you get it how you asked, so I always ask for rare knowing it often comes slightly more done, and it was lovely and tender 😊 The music was more club vibe though 🤣 not really our thing, but can't have everything. Price was ok too.

I've been quite a few times now and the carvery is consistently good quality. The team sorted a dessert in a to-go container. It looks like they've got a couple of hand pulled beers now.

Absolutely fantastic service! The food and drinks arrived quickly after ordering through the app and were cooked to perfection. The manager Jordan went above and beyond to help me customise an éclair to reduce the sugar content, kindly serving the chocolate and sauce separately so I could add just the right amount for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was brilliant—helpful, thoughtful, and truly above and beyond. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely be back.
