Anmol Indian Takeaway & Restaurant Liverpool in Liverpool

We recently visited the area and decided to try the food at Anmol. I always order Tarka Dal first whenever trying a new place, as it's my go-to test dish. Fortunately, it tasted absolutely amazing – just like home-cooked food. However, the portions were only half full, which was a bit disappointing. We mentioned this to them the next day when we reordered, because despite the portion issue, the food was too good not to try again. We also tried their Mix Veg, which was equally delicious. On our second visit, we were pleased to see that the Tarka Dal was now properly filled in the containers. However, the Bhindi Masala was a bit of a letdown — it was undercooked and lacked proper seasoning, especially salt. That said, it didn't put us off at all. We also ordered Garlic Naan, which was fantastic. Overall, we definitely recommend Anmol for their Tarka Dal and Mix Vegetables — truly delicious!

Delivery in line with when they said it would be. Quality really good, not too greasy, distinct flavours, and generous with meat portions compared to other places. Recommended!

Ordered Chicken Korma many times before, tonight it is completely inedible as it’s so spicy!!! Wasted, gone in the bin. The mint sauce also tastes different, maybe a different cook? Garlic naan was cold Disappointed and won’t be able to order again.

Ordered at 7.17pm with an expected delivery time by 8.30pm. Finally turned up at 9.50pm and was pretty much all cold.

Food was confirmed as out for delivery then changed to delivered but we had not received it. Called the restaurant who said they were having issues (which I accepted with it being New Year) said food would be with us in 15 minutes, 45 minutes later food was still not with us. They then said they where having technical difficulties again (with the strong winds !! Not too sure how or why ?). Food arrived and delivery driver said "it might be late but at least you got your food" ! No apologies !

Such helpful staff on the phone understanding all my daughter’s allergy needs. Even found a bread she can eat. The whole family agreed it’s the best Indian we’ve had in long time.

Apologies to the delivery driver. Discovered my doorbell isn’t working when he had to ring as I didn’t answer. The food on the other hand was so cold that there is absolutely no way it was cooked before delivery. The lamb was stone cold, the curry was barely lukewarm, the naan was cold, just everything was cold. I live just over a mile away too. Last time I’m gonna order now as it’s the second time this has happened.

Order arrived with all poppadoms missing. Called restaurant to inform them and was told they’d send them out. I called back and suggest my partner collect on his way home and they said no they’d deliver before he’d get there. 20mins later still waiting. Just ruined the meal for the kids especially.

Delivery got pushed back (twice) to over two hours. Had to phone restaurant as app said food had been delivered when it hadn’t. I’m guessing they did this so Just Eat wouldn’t know they hadn’t met the delivery target. Delivery driver never apologised for lateness either. Spent a fair amount today and it puts me off ordering from here again, they need to tell the truth if order is going to be this late. Shame, as the food from this restaurant is usually good.

Unbelievably late 2 hours from ordering to eating, when my order came there were items missing and had to travel to shop to collect my items.

Jelfrezi was half a portion size had loads of rice and bread and half a curry

All the food apart from the sag aloo was cold which is odd when I live a mile from the shop. Also, I’m pretty sure they gave most of my curry to someone else. Can usually have the rest the day after but as it was only a third full, I barely had enough for my tea tonight.

Butter chicken was delicious, creamy and just the right amount of spice. Everything was hot and fresh

Will be my last order which is a real shame as the food is lovely but once again the delivery driver was so arrogant and food was delivered earlier than was requested so when my partner got home hers was cold

Have ordered food from here several times, great food

more sauce than meat, 6 pieces of very small tough lamb in the masala and the chicken in the korma was really dry and overcooked too. Onion bhaji and samosas good and naan good too but the currie's were just rubbish, load of brightly coloured sauce.

Decent but the tandoori saucer for chicken was missing. Still great though

This place is normally my go to place for a Indian, never had a problem before, but after waiting a hour and half after my first delivery time slot, with items missing from my order, starters and naan bread, and the food was stone cold, I rang to complain and they just said we will give the items to you next time, I'm sorry, there will not be a next time, I'll find a different take away, also they have refused to give me any money back!!!

Absolutely livid to say the leased food was so cold had to heat it back up our selfs missing items and all the pomodoms all broken into little peices like a blood gigzar joke

Gorgeous food.... even though a little mix up with starters, this place is still the best takeaway.

After eating with this restaurant for over 5 years regularly and enjoying it every time. The food was 2hrs late and the order was wrong but it was eaten as i was very hungry. Chicken substituted for lamb and the curry was bland and far from the usual standards. I will have to look elsewhere it seems as possible chef / mangement change.

Just got our order a chicken dopiaza and naga chicken and 2 keema rice i keemma naam bread food nice and hot we picked up instead of delivery my dopiaze had no taste what so ever very bland the bread had no meat in what so ever the naga was just chilli hot not impressed at all popadoms had no condiments will not go here again

Food was cold by the time it came. Took them half hour to drive 1 mile from the time they said it was on its way. Paid for large bottle of coke and instead got 2 cans of Pepsi, which I hate. Will be looking for a refund for that. Done ordering from here now, always something missing, late or cold.

Wow the the meals are so tasty an always fresh. I'm fussy and always ask if I can have my favourite curry tweaking, they are very helpful and they can accommodate my request. The delivery driver is very good, courteous, polite and very respectful of my address when they arrive. I would totally recommend Anmol to anyone... well I have and they also love it.

Chicken jalfrezi was hot and spicy. Chicken tikka massala was really nice. Pilau rice was ok, and plenty of it. Bread was delicious. Bombay potatoes were medium spiced and tasty. Ordered on the app, didn't get the 10% discount as advertised. When I brought this to their attention, I was told this has been discontinued. I was given free poppadoms.🙂 It was delivered quicker than expected. The food was only warmish, but 30 seconds in the microwave sorted it out. The delivery guy was friendly and courteous. Will use again
