I recently visited Angel Of Mercia with friends to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The problems started very soon after our arrival. We were in the restaurant for 10 minutes and hadn’t even been offered a menu, we had to request them ourselves. At which point someone came over with them and highlighted that the sharers were unavailable. Now if you’ve reviewed the menu you will know there are only about 4 mains and then the 2 sharers so that’s a fairly significant thing not to have available on a Friday night. A member of the bar team then came over to take our drinks order and then informed us that they had no beer?! How can a restaurant have no beer on a Friday night, we were puzzled by this. The barman said that there had been a party the night before who had drunk it all. Now if you know the location of this restaurant you’ll see it’s in close proximity (walking distance) to at least 2 supermarkets. The team had every opportunity knowing close of business Thursday that they had no beer to do something about it, there is simply no excuse. Our drinks arrived in dribs and drabs and as time ticked on it became apparent that they didn’t care for our business. We waited 40 mins and didn’t get asked what we would like to order, not even a starter/small plates? They didn’t ask if we wanted another drink, literally nothing. So after 45 mins we asked for the bill which I of course had the service removed from because it was appalling and we took our custom elsewhere. As all of us exited the restaurant, not a peep from the Angel of Mercia team, not an apology or a thank you for even spending money on drinks there. I would not recommend here at all!

We'd been to this lovely local place a few times for brunch, which has been simple, tasty and delicious (the breakfast crumpet is really a thing - try it)!. We decided to go for dinner for a friends birthday last week and the dinner menu was outstanding - quirkty tapas options combined with a few carefully designed mains. We were all blown away with the taste, quality, and presentation - unexpected fine dining level. Well done chef and team, we had a great time.

Great restaurant. The sharing plates are tasty and interesting. The crispy squid is to die for. The cured salmon and lamp rump and also fantastic. Every plate is presented with care. Service is good and the ambience of the restaurant is very pleasant. A great find and we will be coming back. Highly recommended.

I cannot begin to describe how phenomenal the food is here! The attention to detail is second to none. We ordered a selection of the small plates and each bite was an explosion of flavour in my mouth. The tea soaked salmon was devine, as well well as the fried chicken. We've also visited for brunch, it has to be my favourite brunch place in Beaconsfield - the mushrooms on toast and the breakfast brioche are just incredible. What makes this place extra special is just how amazing the staff are, they're so kind and welcoming it just tops the whole experience off. It's so refreshing to have a really good independent restaurant on your doorstep!

We came here for the Sunday roast on Mother's Day. We had seen amazing reviews about the Sunday roast and we were very excited but were sadly disappointed. The beef was lovely but other than that it was quite underwhelming. The chicken was overcooked, roast potatoes were verging on cremated (i could barely cut into some of them), there was hardly any veg (a little kale and beetroot hidden under the meat) and gravy was watered down and lacked flavour.

Not at all dog friendly as advertised. If your dog barks (shock horror…) expect to be kicked out,and expect the other patrons to glare at you menacingly. Weak management, good food and a great selection of refreshments. Avoid if you have a dog.

Over hyped- could be better with better management. Food is well proportioned, not much on the menu sadly.

Great and spacious space to visit, well-maintained, clean and with its own parking spaces behind the building. The atmosphere is cosy and friendly, and the service is impeccable.

Cafe in Farnham park near the baseball courts, football pitches & rugby pitches & children’s playground. Sells hot drinks, soft drinks, hot food & sweets & snacks open to all park users not just softball/baseball players - good for a coffee for football parents on a cold day, taking children to the playground & while walking the dog
