Andu Cafe in Hackney

Fui a este restaurante por primera vez el sábado por la noche. Llegué a eso de las 7 pm y había una cola de unas 10 afuera. A pesar de esto el tiempo de espera fue de solo unos 20 minutos y vale la pena esperar. Se ofrece una selección de dos platos - simple pero delicioso, y gran valor. Todo vegano, que es genial y el personal encantador.

This place is always packed, and unsurprisingly so. The food is delicious, authentic and super quick, without having the feeling of being rushed. The cafe is also BYOB, which is great if you’re looking for some amazing East African food without having to shell out for expensive drinks. I always have a great experience here. So, so good.

Fantastic food and a real family feel. Food was freshly cooked and full of flavour. It was a very enjoyable first experience of Ethiopian food.

I came here for dinner before going to the Arcola theatre,with my husband and two daughters. This was my first Ethiopian food,it was delicious and very filling.

Delicious, fresh food, very reasonably priced. Lovely decor. Quick service. Cash only so be prepared for that.

I've been on several occasions to Andu and appreciate the taste and value! Organisation could be better - ie opening on the time mentioned on the door and not 30 mn later. Note they accept cash only

Feel slightly let down by the experience We’d walked past many times and it was always busy so thought we’d give it a try having never not tried this cuisine before. The best thing about it was the price. Have never had food served so quickly after ordering. Waiters were friendly (no issues there) But the food was average at best We were in and out within 30mins

Amazing food here, for only around £10 a head, fully vegan. The staff are lovely. You easily get a walk-in despite it being popular. And the menu is plant based. Amazing food

Super delicious all-vegan Ethiopian food. You basically have 2 decisions: injera below or separate, and how many people/serving size. The food came incredibly quickly and everything (seriously!) was delicious.

had the best day with my friends. service was lovely, the lady who served us went above and beyond, an absolute credit to the restaurant. food was amazing, and they did the upmost to make me feel safe and reassured as i do have an allergy! i will definitely be back again soon!

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I must say, it was simply delicious! The food was flavourful, filling and very affordable. Servers were friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Will definitely be returning!!

After almost a year, I went to Andu Cafe and unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. The food was good like last time but the service has been 1 out 5. The woman at the cafe seemed annoyed and she did not give any kind of service. She brought the dishes, cutlery, she mentioned where to find the water. That's it. Obviously, I was not expect great service or attention for a £7 meal but last time (I was here last year) the expereince was extremely better. What a pity. NB: it is CASH ONLY
