I went to Andaz Hotel East Way for Afternoon Tea. I took my friend there for her Birthday. It was wonderful. We both throughly enjoyed it. Wonderful hotel and wonderful staff. Lovely tasty food- fresh and seasonal Great location Lots of staff Clean toilets Unfortunately the staff were not as attentive as one would have hoped hence the request to remove the service charge. When places such as this appear to have a lot of staff milling around it’s really unfortunate that they were not attentive towards us and that reminders for drinks had to be requested. As such we moved onto another venue where we were able to continue our drinks and pay the full service charge in recognition of good service. @managers if bars and restaurants- If you’re short staff or for whatever reason are not able to show patrons who attend a level of recognition and attention which is expected in high end establishments then please do let us know when we arrive so we can make an informed choice as to whether to stay or not.

Superb three course meal, attentive, knowledgable and friendly service. Highlights of the meal were the tomato soup, like nothing we’ve tasted before, Caesar salad with crispy lettuce, light sauce and tasty anchovies with crispy bacon pieces, followed by a smoked haddock fish cake bursting with flavour and an amazing homemade vegan sausage cassoulet. Deserts were sublime, especially the chocolate fondant, words can’t describe how special it was, the cheesecake was excellent too. Big thanks to Ef and Carlton who were spot on and on the ball, very special thanks to the amazing chefs. Will most definitely revisit and strongly recommend anyone reading this tries it out.

I highly recommend Miyako and will certainly return. I'm not fond of sushi but that was not an issue as the menu had plenty of alternative options. Had a fabulous time, food was delicious, service so good. We had a 3-course meal choices from a set menu which was a Wowcher deal. I can honestly say my Mum and I enjoyed everything. We each had a different choice from each course. I had a delicious butternut squash soup, Mum had an Avocado and beetroom hummus starter , which was lovely. The steak main was also so tasty. The desserts were a toffee and pecon Mille Feuille and a berry cheesecake. Deal also included prosecco. But would really like to mention the service which was amazing, so friendly and efficient, a lovely lady served us(sorry I didn't get her name) and made us so welcome. We'll definitely return.

I work in the City (have for 38 years) and popped in for quick lunch. It was about 1.45 pm. I was on my own. I was seated promptly by the manager and given menus. I then waited and waited and waited . The restaurant was about 1/3 full and there were a couple of servers slowly moving around resetting a table here or there but I was not approached . I watched this for a while and then decided it was time to leave . It had gone beyond an acceptable time to wait and be ignored, especially in a semi empty restaurant. I went to the manager who had seated me to explain when I was leaving but he insisted I had only been waiting “two seconds“ and decided to argue with me about how long I had been waiting rather than apologise and offer immediate service. I suppose the rest of the staff take their lead from the top . Time for the whole team to go back to lesson 1.01 in customer service.

I do like your restaurant and the waiting staff are very helpful . The gentleman that served me suggested I had the set sushi course which was OK but I realised I should have stayed with my a la carte selections. Anyway I would like to come again . The only other thing I would mention is that the restaurant gets very noisy and there is very little space between tables. I do not really want to hear other peoples conversations or to invade their privacy. Can't you rearrange the table layout to give more space for diners ?

I’ll be honest: we ate here because we had trouble getting a Christmas reservation at a late date. But — while the ambience left a bit to be desired (turn down the carols!) — the food was outstanding, particularly the moist and juicy duck as well as the perfect Christmas pudding. I don’t know if it was this good due to the holiday, or if it’s always this good, but I came away very impressed.

After a lovely day out in London we chose this restaurant as it was close to Liverpool Street station. The staff went out of their way to give us a wonderful diner experience and our waiter, Efe, was exceptional. We had a surprise birthday dessert courtesy of the restaurant which was a perfect end to our dining experience. At the end of the night we left to catch our train hime and realised we had left a phone behind on the table ...a quick call and we were reassured it was safe with the security team. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, we had such a great evening with gorgeous food, lovely cocktails and made even better because of the attentive staff.

Outstanding, if you can remain patient. Tiny space, zero ambiance, walls above the height one could reach with a rag were super dusty, there’s a narrow unwelcoming evening entrance from the hotel lobby that we mistook for a service door & almost split. Glad we didn’t. Our cold dishes, sashimi, sushi & maki we all expertly prepared & of an excellent quality. We lived in Asia for 10 years & visited Japan dozens of times - we know our stuff. Prices, including alcohol, were beyond reasonable, especially for a hotel restaurant, which we usually avoid. Here’s where you need some patience: the service is pure Fawlty Towers, in that it can be comically inept but is also just so warm & kind-hearted. You will have to place orders twice, your food may come before your drinks, glasses shatter constantly. Just be cool & everything will be fine. Online reviews complain about unordered items appearing on your bill. I can say with confidence they are not trying to rip you off but are just a little frazzled. They could probably use another waitperson but the place is so tiny I doubt they could fit another person. If you are impatient, this place could drive you mad but you would be missing out on a top meal at a great price with really kind service. If we lived in the neighbourhood we would be eating here at least twice a month. Highly recommended if you are not in a rush & come in with an open heart.

I marked noise level as quiet but only because we were put in the private dining/pub section due to no space in the restaurant. The restaurant itself seemed noisy. The food was fantastic! Our waiter went above and beyond, he was superb! We spent about £110 for 4 people with no alcohol but with soft drinks. I consider this very reasonable. We were all stuffed and did not need any more food. Will certainly come back for more of the tasty food and toasted rice green tea.

The food was lovely and even one of the best Japanese we have ever had. We were just forgotten all the way by the staff, we had to ask 4 times for water, we were served tap water à which was not a problem but were charged for a bottle. We realised it too late. For the meals, we reminded them at least 3 times, 3 tables came after us and left before us. They apologised which we appreciated but still had to waive to remind them that they still forgot our dishes. When we asked for the bill, we were charged twice for the starters. That was our last evening in London and was not cool to leave with this in our mind. Not cool guys!

Wrote that I had a mild nut allergy when I booked, after checking their menu / website. Got to restaurant, allergens on menu clearly listed but waiter told me I couldnt eat anything as there was nuts in everything and everything will be contaminated. Then overheard him telling his colleagues I had a severe allergy as we had to leave to find elsewhere, not sure why he lied about that. They shouldnt have accepted my booking, the allergens on the menu are pointless if the kitchen is that unsafe they cross contaminate everything in the waiters words. Very disappointed, and unexpected given it is a nice establishment in London.

I went to Miyako for a quick work lunch with a coworker. It was great food and nice service. There was a slight mistake with the final bill due to a busy period (which I hadn’t noticed). The manager Samuel was quick to message me on OpenTable and apologized for the mistake. He then tried to solve the situation by offering solutions to fix it as fast and easily as possible. Food was great, very authentic — definitely value for money.

Food is nicely presented but very plain tasting. Nothing special compared to other cheaper and authentic Japanese restaurants in London. Japanese Negroni cocktail at 13 GBP is a rip off as its just an enormous block shaped cube of ice with about 20% liquid around it. Also, space in restaurant is very tight. Only about 10 tables packed very close together. Overall disappointing.

I bought the Wowcher deal for £39, 3 courses and a glass of Prosecco for 2 people. It was originally for my husband and I but he was stuck at work so I took my 7 year old daughter. What can I say, wow. I was blown away with the service from all the staff , but Ben mainly looked after us and he was amazing. The food was fabulous, portion sizes huge, we had a ceasar salad to start each, it was the best salad I’ve had in a long time, it was the size of a main course. My 7 year old loved it I was worried she wouldn’t be able to eat the main. No need to worry she had steak and chips which she absolutely loved and I had haddock fish cakes and salad. Not that we had room for dessert but we ordered ice cream and raspberry panacotta. It was delicious. This deal is amazing, I was a little worried after looking at reviews but it seemed to me these other reviews for me were a load of nonsense. The food was brilliant , the price amazing and the service from Ben out of this world. Thank you so much to everyone who was working today who made our visit the best and we will be sure to return.

Had the pleasure to dine at Eastway Brasserie for the first time and i have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the service ,food and notably our drinks. We had the soup of the day and the main was grilled salmon which was cooked to perfection . Excellent cocktails for a brasserie, my husband said it was the best mezcal old fashioned he’d ever had. I had a mocha espresso martini which I enjoyed immensely . Compliments to the chefs and the bartender with the long hair. We will definitely be returning to eastway brasserie soon.

The food was excellent and cannot be faulted. The place is nice, very chill, nice decor. Our waitress was friendly and helpful but the service felt very slow. Two of the four things we ordered came a long time after we had been given the first two despite asking for everything together. It felt like the way tapas is served - as its ready - although that wasn't expected, or explained by staff. This is the reason they lost a star in my review. Overall, I highly recommend the excellent food but make sure you have enough time to enjoy it and know that the hot stuff will come after anything else you order.

Upon arrival I was told they don't really cater for vegans even though I had sent a message via this website to say I was vegan. Never the less we sat down so my son could enjoy his meal. I was then informed that they could cater for a vegan, which I was pleased about, but a little concerned as they didn't appear to really understand the concept of being vegan. We had to wait 50 mins before getting our drinks let alone our food. The vegan food was served on the same plate as seafood. Some food orders did not arrive at all. Service was the worst I've experienced in any restaurant I've ever been to. No discount was offered even when the complaint was made and we were residents at the Andaz Hotel. In all a dreadful restaurant with dreadful service. We left still hungry and went to McDonalds which was much better. Vegan or not, avoid this place like the plague.

I visited Eastway Brasserie on Tuesday evening (26 April) and met a couple of friend there for drinks and food. The location is great and the decor and layout is fine. We met at 6:30pm and it was fairly quiet. I therefore didn't understand why it took so long for the cocktails we ordered to arrive. The same thing happened when we ordered some more drinks and the service was anything but attentive. For food we ordered a couple of starters and I ordered a main. Again, the food took some time to arrive (salads) - the portions were good and it was fine, but not exceptional. I waited an age for my main to arrive and eventually asked one of the waiters why others, who had arrived after us were getting their food. He admitted they'd forgotten/lost the order and asked whether I wanted to cancel or try again. I was hungry as it was 8:30pm by now, so opted for the latter - when it arrived it was OK but again, nothing special. At the end of the evening there wasn't even an offer to reduce the bill or make any kind of amends. With so many other establishments competing for your custom I would recommend avoiding Eastway Brasserie.

Service was awful, waitress unfriendly, unwelcoming and lacked knowledge of menu or how to treat clientele. Arrived and were the only diners, all tables were empty, was taken to the worst table. Seemed a problem to go to another which we asked. Had to ask for menus and waitress seemed not to know what was on the menu. Asked what chefs selection included she rudely replied it was obviously anything the chef picked which doesn’t exactly help with food allergies or preferences on fish. Couldn’t order without info. Due to this and her unhelpfulness we frustratingly had to order each piece of sashimi and sushi per piece which was a lot more expensive. Service was slow and poor, considering it was only us to begin with and we didn’t get usual check in on atall throughout the meal to make sure the food was ok or if we were ok for drinks. Had to ask for more menus to order more food and drinks. She eventually brought one menu only for the table. Very limited cocktail or alcohol choice there was 3 cocktails only. Was told they could only do one alcohol free cocktail only do my friend had the choice of one drink. Ridiculous. Fish on display looked like it was all just left out there for who knows how long clingfilmed which put me off. We were concerned the whole time we would be ill to be honest which ruined the experience. Overall 2/10 we were not ill and food was difficult to get wrong as slices of raw fish but would not return or recommend much much better options in central London. Agree with other diners, depressing, poor customer service and lacked ambience expected much better from Andaz.

To be honest, the waitress was quibbling over 7p she mistakenly thought we hadn’t paid, despite a discretionary service charge of 12.5% already added. We didn’t feel this was fair given the wait for our order being taken and the wait for our food, but as the waitress was so aggressive we didn’t feel we could query it. All in all, we’d maybe go back because the food was tasty, but it certainly won’t be our first choice.

We booked via Open Table and it gave us the option to pick the brunch menu or a la carte. As my friend has a gluten and dairy free diet there wasn't much choice on the brunch menu so picked the a la carte, we added to the notes about the allergies and intolerances we had. When we turned up we were advised that on a Saturday they only have the brunch menu available, even though their booking service on THEIR website gives you both options! They said they had gluten free bread so we decided to stay as by now we thought most other places would be booked up. My friend asked for the burger but with gluten free bun and was informed that they didn't have any. In the end we both opted for the avocado on toast but instead of the smoked salmon asked if this could be swapped for some bacon. 45 minutes later, our 'breakfast' turned up, now, it was not busy in fact it was quite empty and it was only cooking some bacon - which was almost cremated, the toast was not much better, the only thing that was ok was the avocado - no cooking involved! When the bill arrived they had charged us for the full price of the meal with smoked salmon and charged us extra for the bacon - we questioned this as we did not have the smoked salmon just substituted it for the bacon, which would have been cheaper and our server apologised and said yes, he would remove it. The revised bill only had one bacon removed but still the full smoked salmon price, after 3 attempts we finally received the correct bill. Very disappointing experience and will definitely not be returning.

A very poor evening. Over priced and poorly cooked food. The Eastway has surely passed its peak a long time ago. The venue started off as being half full. The food poorly ‘over’ cooked and table service very average. When we brought to their attention how poor it was. They shrugged their shoulders and still presented us with a full price bill.

From one of our favourite places to not planning to go anytime soon. Huge disappointment because: - no hot sake (despite it being on the menu) - explanation given was that's because of covid - covid attacked microwaves? - prices doubled - I understand that the owners want to get the money they lost during lockdown but this is pushing a bit too far - regular martini cocktail unavailable! Bar can't mix this, they can however make one with macha! Really? Is it premixed? Afraid to ask. In general, huge let down. Nos hemos alojado durante una semana en el hotel Radisson donde se ubica este lounge y lo cierto es que tiene un ambiente muy agradable. Se puede cenar en él, o simplemente tomar algo, y tiene un horario muy amplio, cosa que se agradece cuando regresas de un día de turismo intensivo por la ciudad. Damos las gracias especialmente a Carlos, por su trato siempre amable y atento, lo que sin duda supone un plus a la hora de decidirse de este lugar.

Quedamos muy impresionados con nuestra visita y, aunque la principal consta de una sola habitación, las historias que le contaron a través de los auriculares personales lo hacen muy interesante. El techo es impresionante y repartidos por todo el Salón hay bolsas de frijoles para que pueda relajarse y maravillarse con las elaboradas pinturas. Pasamos casi 3 horas allí y lo disfrutamos a fondo y su historia. Vale la pena una visita.

Paseando por Londres buscando un lugar para tomar un desayuno adecuado, nos topamos con esta joya de café. La señora más encantadora nos sirvió, nada era demasiado problema, creamos nuestros propios desayunos del menú y estaban deliciosos. Todo servido con una sonrisa y una actitud de nada es demasiado problema. ¡Refrescantemente perfecto!
