Very lovely food but quite expensive. Good central location

So sad this place has closed! I hope they reopen in a different central location. Anatolia was one of my favourite places to eat!

My first visit to Anatolia. The service was good, the decor and atmosphere was nice. Most importantly the food was good. Our group of 5 ordered a sharing platter, plus a couple of drinks. Homemade hummous and dressings were very nice. The meat quality was also good and the flat breads fresh. My only issue was the price. We all left full and satisfied. But we paid close to £100 for the pleasure. Considering everything on balance, I don't feel that the cost was justified.

The young girl its very attentive, I was there this afternoon with my 2 friends snd we ordered a big plater of 82 pounds in the menu it says was for 4-5 people but that wasn’t enough for 2 people And all meat was burned not cooked The chicken wings all burned Definitely not going back and definitely not recommend the place

Five of us went for the first time - why did we wait that long? It was delicious. We all had three courses and everyone of us said how fresh and tender everything was. We will definitely be going again. Amazing!

I think after 10 weeks on a business trip, I can judge this restaurant pretty well. I've been there like 10-11 times. The best thing they have, based on my preferences, is the pide. Turkish pizza. It is so darn good I had almost every option they have in the menu. But also all their other dishes are tasty as well. I am really sad that I won't have anything comparable in regards to Turkish cuisine anytime soon when back in Germany. Don't think if a visit to this restaurant is worth it. Just go there. It's amazing. I can tell... been there so often.

Very very disappointed, just spent £30 on 2 shish wraps and lamuchan. Bread was room temperature at best was disappointing to be honest. Then the main course came. A single shish in a wrap with a small amount of chips for £12 each. It was a very disappointing meal probably worst I've ever had. Poor portions. Very expensive and the food wasn't even hot. Wouldn't even tell my worst enemy to go

Simply stunning food, and no it’s not a ‘eat in’ kebab shop. Great variety and coupled with friendly excellent service. The garnish and flavours that went with our lamb were incredible. Shame I live 200 miles away

We were fairly disappointed with our meal here on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy but it took about 40 minutes for our starter to arrive which was just dips and a very small portion of flat breads, then it was another hour for our mains to arrive. The food was good but nothing amazing and definitely not worth it for the price which was about £45 per head. One waitress was brilliant but she was a star on an otherwise lackluster night.

Read a few mixed reviews for this restaurant but decided to give it a go as we love Turkish food. We are so glad we did! Comfortable seating, lots of space and not at all cold like some reviews have said. The artwork on the walls is lovely and a great talking point. We ordered a donna kebab and a selection of dishes from the hot mezze section. Waited probably minute for drinks to arrive then maybe 15-20 mins for the food. Not a long wait at all Everything was delicious and so fresh, even the side salads tasted amazing! The young lady who served us was lovely and very attentive, thank you ♥️ There is a sign on the door saying 'cash is king', the restaurant obviously accept card payments but take cash if you can to help them with this. We were cashless tonight so unfortunately couldn't leave a tip and we felt awful about it. We will be visiting again soon to try the pide and will double tip on that occasion. Absolutely lovely restaurant 👍👍👍👍🙂

Tried this restaurant for the first time on Saturday 20th January and it will probably be our last! We waited over 45 minutes for the food to arrive. I ordered the Yoghurtlu Tavuk Sis, which was described as chicken skewers bedded in tomato sauce and crunchy bread. When it finally arrived it was cold. I returned it and several minutes later my dish returned and it was warm not hot. The "crunchy bread" was cut into small pieces and was soggy with the watery tomato sauce with about 5 small pieces of chicken - this delight cost £19.50! I ate the chicken but the bread was unpalatable so most of the dish got left. Not worth the money at all. Then to add insult to injury they added 5% service charge to the bill. This didn't get paid and we asked to see the manager, who refused to come to talk to us, instead sending a young girl to try to sort out the money and the bill. Wouldn't recommend at all!

We were looking for something to eat in the Halifax area and stumbled across anatolia. The place itself is lovely and decorated with a laid back friendly feel to it. The staff were attentive and friendly also. The food was really tasty, succulent & fresh, but honestly the reason I marked a 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's a little bit expensive for what it is. The mixed kebab is delicious but for 20 pounds you feel a little short changed. The drinks are tiny for the price too. Literally got served 2 swings of orange juice for 3 pounds. The prices need to be lowered by a good 20% in my opinion.

Absolutely love coming here. The staff Taylor and aisha are welcoming and very friendly and always appear happy. This includes all the staff really because they’re all always smiling and polite. Shows how well they’re treated by their employer beautiful to see. The food is always well presented and very filling. Tried most of the menu there now and I am never disappointed by the food. I actually have no favourite dish as it all is super tasty. I would strongly advice this being one of my favourite restaurants in Halifax

I do enjoy the sharing between five people because I was able to try out different meats and rice which made me full in the end. I also enjoyed hot chocolate with the added whip cream and marshmallows to melt through while drinking it.

Disappointed!! I don’t normally write bad reviews about any food place regardless of the experience. But oh boy this place is up there, with their mediocre food with extortionate prices tag. I felt; I got scammed. Chicken and lamb that we ordered did not come fresh. Rice was dry under/overcooked, Felt microwaved. Whoever put this menu together has no idea what Turkish food should test like. Plate was full of bread with cold yogurt as base. Bedside It been the most expensive item on the menu. If you enjoy trying out different foods please and experience then save your money try some other place. This is just a fancy looking takeaway place disguised as a restaurant with bad food. Location is great. And the Cocktail that we ordered was great. Probably the only thing that we liked. Overall disappointed!! Did not finish the food. We came home and got ourself a nice take way to forget sorrow 🥲 review on here what got me to try it. But well now you know.

Food was served cold - returned it only to be served it again luke warm inedible. Ordered a feta greek salad which was very nice, however having only eaten a few mouthfuls i asked for this to be boxed to take home. Majority of it appeared to be missing from the cardboard box which subsequently disintergrated and the salad was left in the carrier bag the box had been placed in. £6.00 service charge added was well worth it as the waitress was attentive however the additional £124 for cold food was not. Wish i had checked the most recent reviews before booking as i could have saved myself the dissapointment.

The food here was out of this world! I tried the Turkish Pide which I'd never had before, it was delicious. I was here with my dad and my aunty and uncle, they all shared one of the mese style meals. There was so much food and it was all incredible. The tzatziki was the best Ive ever had. We enjoyed a few drinks, the desserts were great. Service was spectacular, all in all a wonderful restaurant that we'll have to return to. Not overly pricey neither. I think all together it was just short of £200. For 4 people with starters, main, desserts plus alcohol, that's not too bad.

Lovely staff, especially our waitress the young blonde lady with the braces who was extremely friendly and polite. Very attentive. She also offered to take a photo of us which I thought was a nice thing to do. Also good food, drink and atmosphere.

Wow. Tasty, fresh, hot food. We had the platter for 2-3 people and it was huge! We finished with a Turkish coffee and Turkish tea. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. Can't wait to go again.

Arrived at 7.15pm was seated at our table - after 30 mins no attendance from staff - had to attract attention for a drink - ordered a bottle of wine one of us was given a gin glass as they had run out of clean wine glasses Ordered food which was very nice - had ordered a portion of fries which didn’t appear - asked for them again - still no show - appeared on the bill though ! Along with service charge ? What service - shocking ! Kent be returning

After entering the restaurant we were left standing without anyone acknowledging we had arrived, eventually we were shown to a table and left to sit there for 35 minutes before asking if we’d like to order drinks, after trying to order 2 large wines we were told small or medium was available not a large, we ordered a bottle which came with one glass the waitress poured a glass then went to fetch a second glass and brought back a gin glass as they had run out of wine glasses!!!!! We ordered our meals 2 pizzas , salad mushrooms and chips, the pizza, we asked if we could do half and half they said not possible I said well you show it on your website to which I got told it was still not possible that was just for marketing purposes, which I replied well that’s very misleading, the waitress shrugged and apologised saying the photo was of 3 pizzas put together… The waiters and waitresses kept brushing past the table and sent my coat flying across the room from the back of my chair, a waitress also dropped serviettes and picked them up off the floor and put them back in the packet , they were then placed on a table for the next customers….. when we asked for the bill it came and had items on the bill that we had not been provided with , and also a ginormous service charge, I wasn’t aware I was expected to pay for bad service, on visiting the loo as I left, there was wooden panelling leaning up against the wall and a bottle of bleach without a lid down the side of the sink, health and safety would have a field day….. Avoid At All Costs. Needless to say we won’t be going back EVER.

Not a good,experience practically empty, seated in a cold window table Requested to change and was told by the waitress it was the only available table. Ate with coat on to keep warm. Food,Lamb ribs very tough, not tender,rice cold. charged for drinks we didn't have. As we left the restaurant was still very quiet so no reason we couldn't have moved tables . Would not recommend for a pleasant evening.

Distinctly average in all ways - and sadly thats kind of an optimistic view. It’s a kebab shop that you can sit in. But slower. And not quite as good.

Disappointing. We love Turkish food but everything we ordered was under par. Will not be back. The Olive Branch in Sowerby Bridge and Hebden so much better.

The food was disappointing not worth the price at all very expensive compare to other Turkish restaurants. No flavour nothing tasted right. The chips tasted as if they were re fried. The sauces are terrible. They don’t ask for feedback or ensure if the customers are enjoying the food. Would not recommend save yourselves the trip and money

As ever, what a shame the '1 reviews' from competitors cannot be filtered out. Fantastic food, wonderful service. Not sure if it has worked out the interior, can feel a bit cold. Less strip lighting, more booths Lamb and chicken were both moist and flavoursome, a good price for a good meal. Lovely service.

Unfortunately the food was not up to standard, the ribs and lamb chops were way overcooked (couldnt eat it) The food took an hour and half to be served considering how quiet it was customer service was appalling, we did address the standard of food to the waitress and her response was “oh” considering we couldn't eat it no replacement or refund was offered neither issued. Nothing worst than spending money on disappointing food.

Top dish for me was the mixed kebab. The lamb one was particularly tasty. The lamb pide was alright, perhaps a little too cheesy & oily for me but the flavours were ok. The vine leaves were not particularly special, the rice was not soft enough & they were freezing like they had come straight out the fridge. The service was good and the atmosphere was very fancy. Definitely overpriced for what turned out to be very average food.

My partner and I had a two course meal accompanied by an excellent Turkish red wine. The food was delicious. I had the chicken casserole which was excellent. The service could have been a little quicker, hence the four stars but on the whole a great experience and I would recommend.

Visited on a quiet night and it seemed like we were too much trouble for the young lady serving, she was much more interested in two young men sat at the bar who were drinking, not eating. The starter was lovely but the mains were poor and basically lamb pieces were spread over a base of bread making it look better than it was.

First time there and the food was amazing, so full of flavour. Good atmosphere and decor. Servers were friendly and polite but were few on the ground so I could imagine if a bit busier they would struggle to cope. Will definitely return.

One of the worst experience in Halifax. Lamb grills smell and taste like chicken, salad wasn't great but the rice was ok. Everything is 35% overpriced compared to other turkish cuisines. Takeaway and dine in menus are priced the same, no difference. Won't visit again.

4 of us visited on a Tuesday evening. Pleasantly busy at 7:30pm. Restaurant environment was bright, clean & modern. The food was excellent; we shared the Family Platter for 3-5 people, which included a starter of cold mezes. (£82) The main included chunks of chicken & lamb, minced lamb kebabs & chicken wings, served on a bed of cous-cous and rice. The accompanying salad was very tasty & attractive. The main arrived on a huge plate with a lid of Turkish bread, which I’d never seen before. Was on the verge of sending it back!😂. The food was delicious and portion size generous. Service was pretty good & staff were attentive. With 2 pints of Moretti apiece the bill came to £126. Not cheap, but not hideously expensive either. Value for money and less than 5 minutes from the station. What’s not to like?!

Very nice good quality food more than enough

Called for an early evening meal with family and was met with a warm welcome from the hosts. We ordered the family platter for 5 even though there was 6 of us but was assured by Ali our waiter that it would be more than enough ....boy was he right.. A selection of rice donner meat spare ribs lamb kebabs chicken kebabs shish kebabs and chicken wings inside a huge Turkish bread was met by us all with one word WOW. Everything was cooked perfectly and despite our best efforts a doggy bag was needed. We will be returning as soon as possible to what must be the best Turkish food outside Istanbul. A big thank you to Ali and the rest of the staff from Brian and family.

Our first time at the Anotolia and it won’t be our last. We can’t fault anything about it and would highly recommend it. The food was really fresh and flavoursome and cooked to perfection. The decor is smart and tasteful and a nice atmosphere. The owners are lovely and the young lady who served us was spot on - attentive but not over bearing and very smilie and friendly. Give it a try!

Food was great but service is really poor. Considering new restaurant plus a Friday night during a large Piece Hall concert. Had to wait 15+ minutes for menu and first drink. Main course was easily 45 minutes with simple starter dishes - olives and bread - arriving late to table. Chips were cold. Sent them back. Spotted customer arguing at til only for the waitress to complain to us about the details! I would love to see this restaurant work, but short staff and no one really in charge of who is doing want makes new businesses quickly sink. I will go back again, and hopefully the service will improve.

Booked for fathers day and was so impressed with the quality of food and great service. Portions and presentation were great and we will definitely be visiting again. I also thought the setting felt very authentic...didn't feel like we were sat in central halifax!

Came today 10th June with one of our children, warm inside but that’s the weather. Ordered the sharing platter for myself, husband and daughter, the food was so fresh and very tasty. Service was so good and they was very tentative to us. Very friendly. Will definitely return

Ok, it's brand new with a few minor teething problems with time needed to bed in. But service and food cracking - it's not cheap but you pay for what you get. Quick update: 31/1/23 Return visit, teething problems solved for me. Food still cracking ;-) Give it a go

Wow! A little bit of Turkey in Halifax! The venue is contemporary and well laid out with lots of space. The staff were friendly but not over friendly. The food was stunning and better than the food I had recently had in Turkey! The starters were huge!! I had the cheese rolls which were larger than I've had anywhere else, 4 in a portion, with a side portion of salad was enough to feed 2 people! I choose the hot meze as my main and was blown away by the extra sauces, salad and bread that also came with it. Delicious!!! Well worth a visit.

Excellent food, a little bit of Turkey in West Yorkshire.

Disappointed is an understatement. Ordered a Ispanakh Pide(Mozzarella mushroom and spinach)and a Kusbasili Pide(lamb with peppers tomato) also asked for a Turkish salad, but waiters asked us not to bother as we’d get some salad with it. Got a Pide with feta cheese and the Kusbasili was tasteless, and no salad. Drink wise ordered a pineapple juice, got an orange juice, then told by the waiter don’t worry you can have that and I’ll get you a pineapple juice. Neither of us had the orange juice, didn’t finish either meals, asked for bill and orange juice was added to the bill. Needless to say will not be going back anytime soon.

Not impressed at all,service appalling,halloumi burnt and under cooked,salmon dry and tasteless on a bed of so called salad that looked like it had been out all morning,needs plates not heart shaped boards

Although the staff were very friendly the food was very poor. My daughter ordered a vegetable kebab and the whole dish was served smothered in chilli oil (this was not mentioned on the menu) as she doesn’t like anything spicy she was unable to eat any of it. We told the man serving us , he replied “tell us you don’t want it next time” unfortunately we couldn’t ask not to have it as we didn’t know they were going to smother the food with it. Also we ordered fish fingers and rice for our 20 month old toddler. It came first with chips which they did change for a portion of hard very dry rice to go with the 7 fish fingers they served her….. yes 7!! Yes 2 glasses of wine were ordered with food however we were still charged £81.00 for inedible food! Not good and we won’t be returning or recommending this venue to anyone .

It is a brand new restaurant which is understandable, the starters were good , we had Lahmacun , Hummus and Sigara Boregi , it was very good, but the main courses .. a real dissapointment , we had chicken shish with rice and lamb ribs with rice, chicken got no taste at all , lamb ribs as well the same thing , literally just on the grill and nothing special at all, and the rice was absolutely so average , it is like buying an uncle ben’s pack then warming it up in the microwave for 2 mins , really no taste at all.

We had been out for the day and were looking forward to a good meal, we got a GREAT meal! Between the 4 of us we had the chicken Doner Kebab, Moussaka and Greek Salad. Beautifully presented, generous portions and the service was great. Excellent...

The best restaurant we’ve been to in Halifax recently. First time trying here and we’ll definitely be back again soon! The waiter was so friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and reasonably priced for the portion sizes. We left feeling extremely satisfied.

Service was wonderful however food was a little disappointing. The rice was undercooked and chicken doner was a little on the oily side. Was happy about the çay though.

Saw this place newly opened in town and decided to pop in for lunch. Service was lacking a bit as we had to ask for menus, cutlery, napkins, sauces, but we will put it down to teething issues. The food on the other hand was spot on. We tried the calamari, lamb chops and chicken shish. Everything was super tasty and cooked to perfection and completely made up for the blip in service. Staff were friendly and the decor is classy so its a nice place to go for occasions too. It can seem a bit pricey but the quality and quantity of food were both on par with the price so I would say its worth it.

Ate out with 2 friends..Started well, lovely place clean and spacious. Starter was good and staff seemed friendly. Main course was average. We were contemplating dessert and coffee. However, after eating the main course a waiter came to the table and asked if we’d paid yet. On replying ‘no’ he said he’d bring the bill…he then told us they’d turned the till off, so asked us to tot up what we’d had so we knew what to pay! We did and luckily for them we are honest! All the staff were sat with their coats on as they basically turfed us another table out. Really disappointing it was around 9:30pm so not as though it was even closing time (10pm I believe)… absolutely ridiculous.

It’s not very often I write a review but I feel I have to. So disappointed with our meal and really, really overpriced….I’m not sure how they’ve come up with the prices! I honestly could have made a better meal myself…and that’s really saying something! My friend and I shared hummus and olives to start with…the hummus was ok but you wouldn’t think you could go far wrong with olives but the black ones were like dried up raisins! For our main we both had the Chicken Shish kebab…it was so disappointing..the chicken wasn’t too bad but I don’t feel like it had authentic Turkish flavours. As for the rest…the boiled rice was a soggy mess and the salad just thrown together in a separate bowl. Even the sauces weren’t good!…and at a price of £17.50! Ridiculous! I recently went to the new Turkish restaurant in West Vale and that is on a different level. Oh and don’t get me started on the service charge they sneakily add on the bill.

I went there previously with my a friend and my 2 little ones. I'll be honest, I love Turkish cuisine and I often go to Istanbul in Huddersfield or Cafe Passion in Halifax but I thought it would try this new place. To say it did not meet th standards is an understatement. The food was served like it was from a local takeaway click and collect service and just thrown on the plate. The rice and the meat was bland and was definitely not cooked like a traditional Turkish food (which is delicious normally may I say). The waiters were nice but the service was quite poor so I explained I didn't want to pay the optional service charge as I was generally unhappy with the food and service. The meal came up to £40 for just 2 dishes and 1 child's dish and no drinks. I explained about the service charge and they said yes no problem I will take the service charge off. Me with my trusting nature just accepted their word and didn't check the amount they put in the card machine. Despite me telling them my issues, and them confirming that they will take it off they still charged me an extra £5. This isn't much but based on just principle I'm quite appalled by their lack of respect of decorum with this. All in all, a very disappointing experience and a waste of £40 on blame food I could have ordered across the road at thre local Donna kebab shop.
