Shams Lebanese grill in Calderdale

Used be good. Decided to use chicken balls instead of chicken. Cold and soggy, shame

Chinese grill has gone down hill so much, it use to be brilliant but last 4 or 5 times its been way longer than the delivery time, its turned up cold a few times, its like they put all the deliveries together and deliver them that way.

Took over 2 hours to deliver after the 1st hour phoned up to complain only to be told it was on its way (it wasn’t ) over an hour it arrived and cold when we got it . I definitely won’t be using them again.

Food would have been alright if it wasn’t cold and soggy. Was delivered over 2 hours after ordered after continuously being told 5 more minutes multiple times by a very rude man on the phone.

Seems to be a bit of a change in the chow mein recipe (lots of onion chunks), but still good.

My order never arrived have call the stire 13 time they are bow keep on making busy my phn, how cone my food is not here and you have marjed it as delivered total waste if time and so ignorant and irresponsible staff

the ginger pieces where far too large and made the food taste over powered … and the duck fried rice was all over cooked and dry

Really disappointing. Normally one of the best, but tonight it was bad. nothing tasted right, even the chips were over done. it all tasted like yesterdays food, cooked in old old oil and reheated! and it was cold!

Found my new favourite Chinese! The food is the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while. The delivery is on the longer side and when it came there was some food missing but after calling them they brought the missing items with extra prawn crackers and fortune cookies and they was really accommodating

I so wish I'd read these reviews 1st. So 1st of all I'm physically disabled and tbe driver refused to bring the food upto my flat 😑 then I opened my food to find my 3 burnt spring rolls, a special fried rice with full of dried chicken 1 king prawn and a fatty piece of beef, my special chinese was full of peppers and again full of dried chicken and very very bland the only nice thing was my very tiny chicken wings. Won't be ordering ever again

I asked for no vegetables in my food and I get vegetables in my food caused me a bad rash ended up in A&E not happy tried calling no answer

I ordered from Uber and they cancelled it after I waited about an hour and half without calling me or what so ever . Luckily after reading the review how bad it is I’m glad it didn’t go through .

Absolutely discusting and dry food. Gravy comes BLACK and just smells and taste like burn. Just generally not a nice takeaway won’t be ordering from here again

The food itself was good a little cold. The sauces had spilled over everything. The sweet and sour sauce was a little bland. Overall enjoyed the food.

Trash resteraunt and rude on the phone. I ordered through Uber eats and then Chinese grill cancelled to the order so I called to ask why and they said I didn't order enough for them to deliver then I asked if I'll be getting a refund to which the guy rudely shouted yes then hung up.. 3 days later no refund and Uber eats won't refund me either. Terrible business and I will be boycotting them along with everyone else I know who share my sentiment .. they lost a lot of customers through their lack of service.

Unfortunately, we were missing one portion of rice from our order and the portion we did receive was burnt and therefore tasted awful. Delivery was 20 minutes later than the final expected time. Very disappointing as we usually order from here and love it.

We passed this and it lookedok, so after shopping we called in, so glad we did. Nice seating and tables, not too big. Lovely welcome from the guys. After placing our order, they brought all,of us a small bowl of lentil soup, it was delicious. I hadshawarma ch8cken plate and rice, daughter had creamy chicken pasta, granddaughter had Japanese (chicken wings ) we all shared Arabic salad. Absolutely no complaints from any of us, it was all delicious, lovely surprise. Granddaughter asked for a dessert, milk pudding with rose water, Muhalabieh. Everything numbered on the menu, no need to remember uncommon names.. we'll worth a visit, £28 for 3 plus drinks, Staff very welcoming, and pleasant, our food was cooked fresh so a little wait .

Used to be our go to takeaway. But after waiting 2 and a half hours to be told it was 10-15 minutes away each time we rang is not acceptable. Order never recieved and we cancelled it after waiting nearly 3 hours.

Food arrived very late. Prawn toast was greasy and tastless. Special chow mein was bland, vegetables overcooked. Overall very poor, not worth the wait or money. Will not be using again.

Ordered Chicken Fried Rice and a portion of gravy, the rice didn't taste cooked at all and the gravy was a thick black syrup like texture, next to no flavour on both - had to throw away after 2 mouthfuls. Salt and Pepper chicken was okay, chicken was rubbery and had little flavour, just a lot of spice to it, not like I was expecting it to be at all. Prawn toast was more like prawn rocks, difficult to bite into and the chips were soggy and some tasted undercooked. Genuinely unimpressed and majorly disappointed, which was a surprise as I've been happy with Chinese Grill before.

2.5 hours plus waiting for food. What a joke

Order regularly and always amazing food, always recommending to people for the best halal Chinese today the food was awful! Everything was undercooked and nothing tasted nice at all and was cold waited ages for it to be delivered too.

Delivery time wasn’t too long, food came piping hot which was brilliant. Ordered Chinese chow mein was absolutely delicious… my favourite was the salt and pepper chicken and chips. The BEST Chinese food I’ve had in a very long time!

They charged an arbitrary price, not even resembling the one posted, glared at me the whole time I waited, and when I got home, I discovered they had given me the wrong food entirely from what I ordered. When they refused to replace it with what I ordered, I tried what they made and it tasted like someone had put out a cigarette in it. Do not be taken in by their menu's promise of Singapore dry noodles - these men don't even know what they are.

Took 2hrs to come from ordering, its a 10 min drive if that to my house. When it eventually came the chips had been sat in the box that long the box was falling apart and the chips soggy. Shame cause I've never had a bad order but the time it takes is a joke

Absolutely the worst Chinese I've every ordered, the ribs are inedible rock solid and just fat not worth £8 of anyone's money, and the chow mein consists of noodles with a few bits of chicken and onion, wont be ordering from these again, a very expensive WASTE OF MONEY

Wow, worst 20 quid I ever spent, think the ribs had been previously buried and dug up and cooked then left to decay further then re cooked. Then on to the crispy beef, crispy? Crunchy is the sound my molar made when chipped eating it. Amazed, when I say amazed, I mean appalled!!!! Dog didn't even want to entertain the ribs or the beef even she looked apawled!!!!

Lovely and warm, special curry was beautiful. Highly recommend it.

Great food we have used them a few times now The only thing I will say though is their dishes tend to be more spicy hot compared to other Chinese food suppliers. This is not a negative but just something to keep in mind.

Poor behaviour and attitude from the staff. A child was taking the order and the chef was desperate for the money and had disgusting attitude. There is no respect for the customers. Food not good at all! Will not be going there again!!
