My original review was 6 years ago, and In the 6 years that have passed I still believe this is the best Chip/kebab place in Gillingham. Proper fish and chips, decent kebabs, homemade chicken fillet burgers are ace!

Always have nice food from here, generous portions, fresh salad, cooked hot & fresh, nice hot home made chilli sauce, not out of a bottle !! ALI will always will always have a chat and is friendly.... this is my go to kebab shop - Chippy, never had a bad meal... defo recommend 👍

Me and my family absolutely love anatolia. They are always very friendly quick and the food tastes amazing. It's the only chipshop we ever go to now.

Ordered food at 5.19pm..arrived at 6.40pm..I'm literally 10mins away. Food arrived.. well what can I say, disgusting chips cold and soggy, battered mushrooms overcooked, cold and no guts to them. Coleslaw was put in bag between hot food... 100% won't be going back there again... surprised they still open!!!!!

Thought I try it again after months of having a bad salt fish and once again the fish was so salty I could not eat it and the staff not very friendly

Very disappointed. Have been using anatolia for years now but just not as good as it used to be. Fish an chips arrived. soggy chips and soggy batter. Not crispy at all. Wont be returning unfortunately

£4.50 for a large chips and it was barely big enough to do two people staff are rude surely won’t be going back there

Been looking for a local proper fish and chip shop since the quality and service of our usual shop went downhill. Leaflet from Anatolia put through our door a couple of weeks ago, so we thought we would give them a try. Arrived promptly and hot. Fish cooked well. Pie also hot. All items very tasty. Only downside was that the meal was a total of £3.80 more than the menu stated. Advised that menu delivered was an old one. Overall very satisfied. 13/4/23 Just ordered online for family . Received discount for online booking. Delivered very fast. Food was delicious!! Well done!! Be back soon!! 15/3/24 Ordered our meal tonight. One pie was hard on the bottom. Called shop. They could not be more apologetic. Replacement along with free portion of chips was delivered within 10 minutes. Excellent service. Food was delicious!!!!!

Have been using this takeaway for years, Ali is superb, always get good food and generous portions. Food is cooked fresh if you require it and the guys are always chatty and helpfull. Ask for Ali, defo recommend 👌

Have been using this same chippy for almost 30 years and it has grown with the staff. Would 100% recommend it the fish is always on point, the chips are proper chippy chips not the frozen ones lots of kebab shops choose to use. The kebabs are a decent portion not too greasy and full of flavour and I'm a sucker for a mega burger 3 1/4lb burgers with cheese and all the toppings you choose. The newest owner/manager has come up the ranks and I ows the business inside out and he always throws us a free rice pudding in for my wife when he has them ready.

Bought 2 lamb shish for my parents and it very rare that they moan about food but they had all the right to moan …every bit of lamb was grissle…have used these quite often in the past but will not be going back

Had the best Chicken Shish ever, ordered online. Succulent, great salad and arrangement. Not just thrown together. Great price. x

We moved just around the corner from this place a bit over a year ago, and have bought from it maybe a dozen times. At least half of those times the chips have been under-done, and once the fishcake was cold on the inside and I couldn't eat it. We haven't said anything, and just keep buying anyway, but this week we just bought a bag of chips for lunch to share: the chips were quite dark in colour and I thought 'great they will be cooked!', but once again they were under-cooked and solid/potato-y in the middle. Please can you just cook them all the way through? Will keep buying and hoping.

Well happy with our food, hot tasty. Nice big portion. Had mix meat and chips really injoyed it. Definitely would recommend

can't rate what shop itself is like as I order online (hint use uber eats to order as they have no min order charge unlike just eat and even their own website has min order of £15 for delivery and that's a joke so I will only use uber eats) but other than that the food is lovely and best of all they're open on Sundays

Wrong order given when asked about it was ignored by staff. Food not the best non of us ate all the food. Wouldn't recommend.

Ordererd food for the family, when returned home and started eating it my son had hair in his doner wrap and I had hair in my lamb shish. Called them to tell them got really argumentative on the phone and not even an apology. They've lost a loyal customer. Best of going to master kebab guys!

Had an amazing chicken shish wrap from here, so soft and fresh. Chips were amazing, big portion and very fresh too!

Ordered a large lamb doner meat & chips burger sauce & salad an got a small lamb doner with garlic sauce lol

One off the best place in Gillingham

We would like to compliment Anotolia Kebab & Fish & Chips, we ordered from here last night for the 1st time for a delivery of fish & chips it was delivered promptly and it was piping hot & freshly cooked the large Cod was enormous and beautiful & white the chips were so tasty it was the best fish & chips we have ever tasted, we highly recommend & don't hesitate in giving them a 5 star review well done Anatolia

Never had a shashlik kebab that's had carrots instead of green peppers before meat gristly salad virtually no existent

I frequently order from here and it's always lovely and reasonably priced. Last night I ordered online for a collection and the saveloy was forgotten from my order unfortunately-they were very busy granted.

I have been ordering fish and chips/chicken shish from them over 3 years not had any issue. Last night first time ordered mix kabab it was burnt instead of well done and smelly like off meat. Took it back Ali lost his tamper started shouting and screaming at me. All because he couldn't accept the food was off. Very rude..will never order from them.

Order placed via their website and payment taken. Only to be informed by ringing that they were closed (20/7 at about 6!). Asked for a refund but refused very unhelpful , saying I have to do that via my bank. Had been using them for many years but will NEVER use again.

First time ordering... wont be ordering again.. even with 20% off...Donner meat was burnt and swimming in grease..lack of salad and re cooked chips.. very disappointed.

Im actually here because of TikTok but the chef seemed very friendly and nice. The fish also seemed to be very tasty. ☺️

Always ordered off just eat - fast delivery - food always taste nice and fresh - portion size is good Only downfall is it is a little pricey

Went in and ordered as soon as they opened. Fish was cooked fresh but batter was soggy and undercooked. Chips were hard and stale - definitely not cooked fresh. We won't be going here again.

My local Kebab shop. I placed an order today to pick up on the way home from work. On getting there I was told that they hadn’t any call for an order for collection. I reiterated that I had & could show them on my call list. There was no apology, just the offer to put the food on then and there. As I don’t like being lied to in such a blatant manner I left & won’t be going back.

Food is always hot and fresh, staff have been absolutely lovely, delivery drivers always polite and respectable, they were also able to tell me instantly what food contained allergens I can't have. Never use any other kebab or fish shop as they do a lot of their food in house instead of buying it in

Salad was brown, meat was soggy, chips were limp and cold and filled with oil and the delivery driver in the red car verbally abused a women outside the shop. Shocking. .

Great guys, wait is never too long and always friendly. Loves kids, always have a dish of lollies on hand. Food is good too.

Overpriced and staff unfriendly

Always order from here, but the past 6 months the food has been awful. To the point of mine tasted funny last night and now the next day im stuck in agony with my head in the loo. I will be contacting the necessary people. Family of 4 all really sick. And we had our own deserts and theyve all stayed down. Something wrong with that kebab. 100% such a shame.

My favourite chip shop by far. The food is fantastic and really good prices. Staff are friendly and the service is quick so no waiting around for ages for food to be ready. Delivery is also very fast and food arrives hot.

Timing was okay did not get coke we asked for wrapping on food was so wet it had stuck to our fish most of the food went in the bin as the fish was soggy and chewy not happy with this and will not be ordering from here again!!!!!!!

Not a fan of this one. There's a reason why they no longer show there food hygiene rating in the window! I know the council have paid a few visits to Barans. I personally would never eat anything from here again!
