Stylish restaurant with goldfish pound situated in the center of building. Nice and friendly staff with nice n friendly prizes in their menu...

Food was disgusting and not fresh. Hardly any food. Customer service was bad and less staff.

I went with my mum and sister and it’s a mixed bag. On one hand, it took around 15 minutes for them to actually prepare and put the food in the trays. However, the starters were good. The wings and kebabs were fresh and tasty and the fries were fluffy and delicious. So it was with the wait, I guess. But the karahi’s could have done with some improvements with the flavour, the meat one was not bad per se, but not great either. In the middle. We also ordered a jug of cola and we literally saw one of the staff take a £1.19 bottle of bar cola and put it in the jug and then they said it was £6.50! The price markup was a lot but understandable considering they need to make money as well. The staff were kind and helpful, they assisted us in any questions we had. No complaints in that regard. Lastly, for dessert I had the chocolate cake. Which seemed like it was brought from an Asda or Tesco. It still tasted good though, but they could have done better with that, such as ordering it from an actual cake shop. The atmosphere was nice though, a nice chill vibe. Can’t fault anything there. Overall, If they step up their game a little more then I am more than happy to return!

Years ago, this used to be an amazing place to go to. Now, even the main entrance front door looks like it has not painted for at least 10 years! The shocking state of degradation is so obvious. The skirtings inside are falling off. I didn't feel welcomed at all. Probably some family fued is going on... The pond is still there along with the fish. This, too, looks dilapidated. New management/owner is required.

Below average place. Low quality of food with very limited options. Poor service. Request cash only payment for tax evasion. Will certainly not go again.

I do not recommend this place to any one firstly its dirty unclean they charge you £17 for horrible food firstly there's like 4 starters which are have no taste and probly are precooked than warmed during serving time there's few mains which looked horrible the rice all meat veg and lentil dishes tasted old food warmed up then not even served on time basicly you have to wait for them to reheat food which is probably gne give you food poison there dessert are dirty and there serving you Aldi choc cake and tesco ice cream which you rather buy your self cause at least it will be cheaper then them serving also we were approached and told them any food we don't eat will have to pay for I told them that I'm find the food old uncooked and was told that some manger was gne come over to talk to me but no body spoke to me so the matter was just left my family and I travelled all the way from Birmingham at the end of night I was so disappointed after having a such a lovely day the day end us with going to Anams restaurant my most horriblest experience so please you rather go to a dixy then this place I can't even give them a even a zero I feel like phne up food safety and make a complain about them

I recently visited Anam Restaurant on Monday at 7 PM and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The food quality was subpar, with dishes that were bland and appeared to be made from stale ingredients. Additionally, the hygiene standards were shockingly low, as our table was visibly dirty and the restrooms were poorly maintained. Despite raising these concerns with the staff, their response was indifferent and unhelpful. Overall, the combination of poor food quality, lack of cleanliness, and unsatisfactory service ensures that I will not be returning to Anam Restaurant.

Absolutely shocking. By far the worst place i have eaten in. From the service to the food to the atmosphere the vibe the deco, honestly i don't know how this place is even open for business, i really doubt they have returning customers. Tasteless, boring poor selection of food, hardly any variety. 19 of us. . On eid day... sad to say that the food was wasted.. not one of us completed a full meal, just for wasting food we paid or else this place didn't deserve any money. Save your time and money... acting manager couldn't care less on what we had to say.. aslong as money goes into the till thats all that matters. Disgusting.

We found a dead fly in the food. Staff were rude, let's just call her aunty Karen. They stole from us. Our drink took exactly 1 hour to arrive by aunty Karen. Aunty Karen was giving me side eyes because I went for a second round. I was dehydrated because aunty Karen still didn't give me my fake coca cola. I liked the little fishes in the water but I found out that they were cannibals 💀. We were happy to come but the staff and aunty Karen wasn't. I didn't even get my dessert. The toilets are super dirty and stinky that my brother was going to be sick on aunty Karen's shoes. If you like cheap quality food for high prices or hate your family members come here ☺️. Just go to Mahmoods honestly it's better.

If I could rate 0 I would do that, First of all the waitress was rude she kept following me around while I was trying to get my food just to ask what drink and how many people there were and didn’t bother waiting till I came back to my table. Then when I finally got to get my food there was a dead fly in the pasta and when I bought it to the managers attention he completely ignored me and all the food was dried out So I had no option but to leave. When I got to my car I realised I forgot my keys on the table so I went back in to look for it and they lied to me saying there were no keys on the table because obviously I wasn’t going to leave without them so they told me another lie saying that the waitress threw them in the bin so I told them I don’t care get them out and they got rid of all my Key rings and just gave me my key. So I was left with no choice at the end of the day but to go to the restaurant across the road (CZN BURAK) THE WORST EXPERIENCE HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!

Shocking place, we visited as a family of 17 for eid and travelled from Sheffield. Safe to say we were disgusted. The atmosphere is like a school canteen, the whole place is shabby, tap water in reused plastic bottles and the food is awful. Don't even go to the toilets! We did complain to the manager and was told they are very busy and there reviews are all really good! Don't waste your time I wish I had listened to the reviews!

All round awful experience! The food was awful, no selectionz no flavour, not cooked well. I'm usually very supportive of local businesses and Aapne but in this case ? Such a pathetic experience of Iftar Buffet here. Could not manage supply chain, main items could not be refilled. Plates were dirty and had stains. I had to wait 20 minutes in the queue due to dishes not filling up again. Food was also cold.. very bad experience, definitely not going again.

I recently dined at your restaurant for Iftar dinner, and I regret to inform you that the service fell far below expectations. Upon arrival, I encountered a 15-minute queue just to access the food, only to find that the buffet stations were depleted with no items remaining. To enhance the dining experience, I suggest setting up separate stations for starters and main courses on each side of the hall during Ramadan. This adjustment would significantly reduce wait times and improve customer satisfaction.

Desserts were cheap knockoffs ...icecream had no tastse and was melting as i took it the my table ..and they charge for bottles of water which may be tap water ..and the staff keep coming to your table and repeatedly ask do you want drinks .or water .as they make good money on tap water which is insane . Gone downhill in my eyes ...i dont ill be going there again

Been coming for over 20yrs, was disappointed today, food quaity poor, tasted cheap fish not nice, salad bar poor, tomato sauce awful, samosas poor, cake table also disappointing. Also needs to share allergy advice, ha e vegan options, gluten free etc. Keep up with everyone else. I don't normally write reviews but was looking forwards to nice food. Box standard food edible, for the price of £15 "all you can" one cant complain food was warm. Reasonable choice for the price, pay a little and obviously there are better choices out there. But in all honesty i didnt mind it went with mrs she enjoyed it too.

Their Buffet is very reasonably priced and is quite inexpensive. From starters to mains to desserts everything was delicious and was being reffilled continuously. The Buffet offered dishes for every taste from vegetarians to chicken lovers to meat lovers. (If you are vegetarian/vegan you may find few options on offer). Alive fish pond adds to the ambiance of the sitting area. Service was excellent personnel were helpful. My only criticism would be that, though the waitresses were very vigilant and quickly took away the used plates, it felt like are always looking at guest eating. It made us a bit uncomfortable, may be its just us.

Food is delicious, better to go on weekends. when they are busy, they have more dishes. But even when they have less dishes, food is pretty fresh and delicious. They have room for Wuzu and Namaz too:)

The roasted chicken wings were nice and the chicken karahi was nice but abit too salty The seekh kebabs were nice and big The haleem was ok and the gulab Jamun were under cooked It’s ok for £15 per head but I don’t think il go again also it’s cash only

Bad experience ever! Went with few friends, but found many issues with employees behaviour. One staff (Local guy) dont know his name, he was speaking very rudely. Food was ok, but disappointed for the staff’s behaviour. Please improve them.

Just adding this review to improve food quality and warn others. Went for buffet with my family last evening. Starters was worse, Sikh kabab smell rotten and chicken starters, chips didn't taste fresh. Their main course was ok.

(This is a Response to the review from Nasir Uddin.) Firstly I would like to say your so called “younger” brother who is a grown man thinks it’s acceptable to use the ladies bathroom. (Trying to justify himself by saying younger brother,if your brother was a small kid it would have bean a complete different scenario but in this case it was 2 grown men). In no circumstance is it okay for an adult male to be inside the ladies toilets. This is not accepted and will not be tolerated at anams.The member of staff had seen your brother inside the ladies toilets and whilst you was also about to go inside, you was approached by staff. The staff member asked you & your brother what you was doing inside the ladies wc.He replied with the men’s toilets was out of order. Baring in mind we have a poster saying “Out of order please use upstairs toilets”. I’m sure your brother clearly read the poster if he knew they was out of order? After the staff member had told him hes not allowed inside there he decided to say “I checked inside there was no one inside”. Your brother really thought it would be acceptable to use the ladies toilets as no one was using it at the time. Is there no morals or respect?Thankfully there was no females using the bathroom at the time. You must understand how uncomfortable someone would feel if there was 2 fully grown men inside the ladies toilets.The staff member spoke to your brother in an appropriate manner that it clearly says ‘out of order please use upstairs toilets’ Our bathrooms are clearly marked with mens wc & ladies wc. This is no confusion or mistake as you had the audacity to tell staff you checked inside the toilets,if anybody was there before you went in. The staff member spoke to you in an appropriate manner until you decided to come back to him standing right up to his face. You were fully obstructing his personal space. The staff member was very patient with your brother. When this took place the staff member told you to move away in an appropriate manner,like any other person would. But no you was still there arguing trying to justify the fact you used the ladies bathroom and it was acceptable. You should feel ashamed and embarrassed of yourself. Please don’t ever come back. We value and respect our customers. What occurred this night was totally unacceptable and will never be tolerated at anams. First of all, I would like to talk about their customer service quality. They need proper training that how to talk to customer and what’s their role should be during work time. We (with my family) just come to eat after a long journey and we was very tired. Their (Anna’s) gents wash room was out of order, My younger brother just went to ladies wash room just to wash his hand for a second. One of Anam’s staff called ‘Tousef’ just came to him and started shouting very loudly, rest of all the customers was watching us and they was just surprised like what happened!! That moment was totally disappointing for all of my family members and they decided to go back. But as we were very tired and decided to eat here that’s why we completed our dinner here. The rude behave I have ever seen from a floor staff !! I don’t how these kind of staff working in work place. We were regular customer, from today we never gonna come again. Please provide them training and development regarding customer dealings.

Food was good. Nihari highly recommended. But service was very poor. We had to wait for more than 15 minutes for receptionist and when he came, wasn't listen us at all.

Had been here before with a large groups and it went really well, but unimpressed when I went with just my wife this afternoon. The food was good as usual (especially the starters and desserts), but staff were utterly miserable, unhelpful, refused to give tap water, insisted on cash payment and never smiled once. They let this place down on this occasion so I doubt I'll be going back regularly.

I enjoyed the buffet, first time I've been here won't be the last. Reasonably priced. Plenty of choice. It's starting to look a bit dated in side but dose not take away from the food or service I had.

Disappointing Experience - Lack of Cleanliness, Stale Taste and Unfriendly Staff. I recently visited Anam’s with high hopes of enjoying a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, my visit left much to be desired. First and foremost, I was disheartened by the lack of cleanliness and hygiene at the restaurant. Just after crossing the entrance door, you would find a sanitizer box fixed on the right side of the wall but to my utter shock that box was filled with water. I searched for wipes and I found them on the empty counter but they were dried up. I didn’t find a trash bin anywhere to drop those dried wipes. The tables appeared to be poorly wiped, floor was pretty dull looking and the overall ambiance felt unkempt. It made me question the kitchen's cleanliness, which ultimately affected my appetite and enjoyment of the meal. To make matters worse, the staff's attitude was far from welcoming. From the moment I walked in, there was a noticeable lack of warmth and friendliness. The servers seemed disinterested and were inattentive throughout the meal, which made me feel like an afterthought rather than a valued customer. The neatness of serving plates and bowls was questionable. As for the food, while some dishes were decent, others were cold and re-cooked the overall experience was overshadowed by the hygiene concerns, lack of freshness and unenthusiastic service. It's challenging to fully appreciate the flavors when these crucial aspects of the dining experience fall short. I believe in giving constructive feedback, and I hope Anam Restaurant takes this opportunity to address these issues. Improving cleanliness and instilling a more positive and attentive attitude among the staff could make a significant difference in enhancing the overall experience for diners. In conclusion, I am saddened to say that my visit to Anam’s was less than satisfactory. I would hesitate to recommend it to others until these areas of concern are addressed. I hope my feedback helps the restaurant management in their efforts to create a better dining environment for their customers.

Used to be really good. Food quality has dropped. It's a good place for a family. Kids always seem to enjoy the fish swimming around. Just a shame that the quality of food has dropped. Especially the Gajerla.

Food was brilliant, most of the dishes had authentic taste. Sit in was clean and spacious. Bad service. Almost all of the staff members looked fed up, especially a young lad with a beard had no manners whatsoever. Not saying thank you is one thing, but repeatedly not replying to a customer who says thanks & gazing in their eyes pretending to be a bad boy was an unpleasant experience.

Dine in yesterday, 1/7/23. Busy like hell, seems like overbooked over crowded. Poorly cooked food too salty. Had dined in before and was good, hence came again. Poor service. No one at ice cream stall and everyone including kids helping themselves and making a mess. Not going again.

Once upon a time ago visiting this place was great. I visited it again after a bad experience some time ago, I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt but silly me. It was horrendous!! Had to wait for the naan, there were only 4 roast potatoes, food wasn't great at all. Definitely NOT going again. Spend your money elsewhere folks

I had gone with my family after a nice outing but once gone in there was no vibe not many people there and the waiter were rude. The food don’t even get me started it was horrible not many options as it says on the menu and the food had no flavour at all. I had paid nearly £200 for what flavourless food which I wasn’t happy about.
