Amrutha - Honor Oak in Lewisham

We’ve had the set menu twice now and the second time went for the huge feast. What a great place. Arvind is the kindest, most attentive and welcoming host. Thanks for looking after my family on both occasions and for ensuring no one went hungry, even one of the party who had flu and couldn’t come. We packed up the food and took it home. The Pakoras have gone down particularly well on both visits. I love the dal, Thai curry and kale, which are full of flavour and the right level of spice. Thanks Arvind and the team!

Wow absolutely love this restaurant. The best vegan food I’ve ever eaten. In fact one of the best lunches I’ve had in a while. Absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented. Amazing service. Outstanding. Well done to Arvin and his team. On my list of favourite places to eat in London now.

We had an amazing night at Amrutha, the staff were so friendly and the owner was the nicest guy ever! I am coeliac and they made me feel very comfortable and used separate fryers for the pakora and falafel. The food is absolutely delicious and all 8 of us can’t wait to go back

A COMPLETE GEM!!! I have and would travel over an hour to visit this place. The food is amazing. The staff is friendly. The ethics and the ethos are wonderful. What a business should be and how a restaurant should taste. You will NEVER regret it.

This is one of the best meals out I have had in such a long time. Absolutely delicious food and great value. So many different things to try. And Arvin (apologies if spelt incorrectly) was the nicest, most charming and delightful host. I’m not sure I’ve met anyone quite like him. His love of what he does is infectious and wonderful. Everyone must visit this restaurant. I never normally eat ‘vegan’ and I was blown away. So many lovely and kind touches.

This is a purposeful business that has created an authentic soulful local community! The different energy and warmth is felt from the moment you step through the door. A place buzzing with all cultural backgrounds and 2-3 generational families eating flavoursome organic vegan food made with homely recipes passed down from generation to generation! I cannot begin to tell you about the flavours! For now I will just say - Grandpa's dhal is to die for! The staff Kaz Fred and Avin made our meal delightful! Will be back!

First time at this local restaurant with 3 friends. Warm and relaxed atmosphere, busy on Friday night. We each chose the £25 set dinner which our lovely waitress then upgraded for free. Gluten free choices were easy. The food was really delicious. Lots of different, gently spiced dishes, curries, pakora, salads, dips, veggies, rice, tasted fresh and home cooked. Excellent value and will definitely return.
