Ladywell Tandoori in Lewisham

Really nice old school “80s” Indian local. Owners are great, friendly etc and it’s just an a nice and simple vibe. Prices are really good and food is decent. Wish there was more places like this.

Tbh the food tasted fine but it arrived stone cold. I rang the restaurant to advise them of this and the guy on the food responded by saying ‘That’s impossible’ I told him that I wasn’t lying and he simply continued to say that it’s not possible, they have never sent out cold food ever and basically just accused me of lying. When I said that maybe he should just apologise and maybe offer a free dish next time we order or some other solution he accused me of purposely trying to get something free

We received a warm welcome and friendly attentive service here. The food was top quality and very good value too.

Sadly after many years of great hospitality the focus has clearly shifted to take-always. Service was polite, but crushingly slow, incorrect and confused. Over an hour for food is somewhat falling when takeaways are flying out the door past your table.

Greasy. Portion of curry didn’t fill the carton. Lacked flavour other than salt.

Loved the food here, the jhinga-dum achari was particularly good, and the service is very friendly plus the prices are great too!

Ordered takeaway and it was absolutely fantastic. The Thali has chicken, lamb, seekh kebab, all succulent and cooked perfectly. The veg version is also fantastic, two of those easily feed 2 hungry people! Good prices and such a friendly family run place - eating in is also lovely, we’ve done that in the past and will do again. Great place.

Very nice restaurant. Friendly proprietors, good service. Are there early on a Monday evening. Food was delicious, quickly and pleasantly served. My only minor criticism is that the portions are just a bit too small. Otherwise, great; a restaurant I would recommend.

Always amazingly delicious, fresh food. A large menu and everything is delicious, so it’s a restaurant (or takeaway) to keep coming back to. The best Indian food outside of expensive central london restaurants.

The food was delicious, but what made this meal lovely was the superb hospitality. From the moment we stepped in the door we were treated as if we were guests in their home. The hosts were thoughtful and looked out for us, offered a free drink at the end of the meal, and met our every request with grace and courtesy. Highly recommended!

Really delicious food! All the usual classics and some things I haven’t seen before. The trout manohar was amazing, really nice heat but also sweet and creamy. Palak pakodi also a big hit, thanks Habib and team!!

Absolutely addictive Indian food. It's consistently delicious and the service is the nicest I've ever received. I always leave with a huge smile on my face and a full belly. It's also very affordable. Love it!

This is not my usual Indian takeaway and tbh I didn’t like it , the korma was watery, rice had hardly any taste I shall stick to my usual restaurant

Delivery was early, however, the food was disastrous. Totally inedible!

I thought I'd try a different place from my usual and ordered the vegetable dhansak and a few bits to share. Have to say from the reviews I expected more. The meal was late and tepid, so it was not a great start. My friend liked his mutton starter, but that was about it for us. The rice tasted more of cologne than pilau! The dhansak was strange. It had few vegetables, way too much sweetness yet a lot of heat and was watery. Like when someone puts too many chillies in something so they try to balance this with sugar. All flavour is lost and it's just chillies and sugar. This was unpleasant and I don't think I'll be ordering from here again.

Food was ordered and accepted at 19:30 didn’t arrive until 22:10 despite the app saying it had been delivered by 20:40! Food did all arrive but was stone cold. Will not use this restaurant ever again.

Ordered Chicken Balti, received Muton even though I clearly ticked on the Chicken as preference! The Muton was like chewing on leather. However the sauce was delicious. 😭

This was our first visit via recommendation and was not disappointed. Such a cosy, warm and welcoming restaurant with brilliant staff and superb food. Habib and the team could not have been more helpful but the star of the show was the food. We have just found a hidden gem.

2 minutes turned into 40 minutes. However the food saved the day. Ordered Mutton & Chicken Biryani. Both was pleasantly tasty. Definitely will order again. Thank you Ladywell Tandoori for your service. 🙏🏽

Curry was the most oily Indian I’ve had in London. A real shame as the base flavours were fantastic. The naan, delivery etc were all great so if they can use significantly less oil this would be a nice spot.

The food here is pretty standard Indian stuff but it’s all good and the service is very friendly and personal. The whole place is refreshingly unpretentious. I’ve been a few times and I’m sure I’ll go again.

Normally very good but not tonight,it took 1hour and 15 mins to be delivered,the Bombay aloo was cold the chicken in the madras was chewy and not hot I ordered mango chutney and got the mint sauce which so so runny was like water it’s was so so disappointed tonight because normally really good but let me down today not happy

Really delicious food thank you! If I could say anything as a slight downside, I'd say portions were a bit on the small side, but incredibly tasty. I just could have kept eating and sad when it was over.

We asked for chicken tikka and got lamb. Meant no one could eat it. Portion size is very small for the cost. Total waste. First time used this takeaway won't be using it again.

Family meal for 8 on a Thursday evening. First time for us in this lovely traditional family run restaurant. The food and drinks were really fairly priced. All our food was fantastic, really tasty. Cannot recommend this highly enough. Really friendly attentive staff. A real treat.

We waited one hour and half 40 mins before the owner called us and said he is waiting for the driver 🙄 the food was realy good but the chicken madras had 5 tiny pieces of chicken I gave my husband some of my dish to make it up and the Darn bread was cold shame realy

We lived in Ladywell for 4 years and this is hands down the best Indian restaurant in the area. The food is incredible and service exemplary. A fantastic family run restaurant! Having moved from from Ladywell last year we certainly plan to travel back to visit again.Great to see them on justeat too!

Really great Indian food, delivered promptly and courteously. Ladywell Tandoori has been our first choice for Indian meals for many years now. The wide variety of dishes each have their own distinctive flavours.

Food was ok, but with little taste and the dishes were rather oily. Samosas were tasty.

Me encantó la comida de aquí, realmente sabrosa y hecha con cuidado, no demasiado aceitosa o salada como en algunos lugares.El personal es muy amable y creo que ha estado sirviendo en Ladywell durante muchos años.Incluso nos ofrecieron un par de bebidas gratuitas con nuestra comida.Una muy buena selección de menú y también atienden bien a veganos y vegetarianos. También me complace que la calificación de especias de cada plato sea correcta, si dice picante, ¡significa picante!

Beautiful decor, alongside impeccable service and delicious food! We were welcomed like old friends. The food was second to none, the garlic naan and king prawn masala was a particular high light. Would highly recommend a visit!!

El servicio es excelente, pero también su familia maneja algo en lo que le doy mucha importancia. Tiendo a tener la carne de venado, ya que es uno de los pocos lugares que lo sirven, y comer arroz en la villa es una alegría. No puedo recomendar este lugar local lo suficiente. Lovely, family run restaurant. Been serving Ladywell since 1982, and you can tell the community spirit when you eat here. We enjoyed a mutton dhansak and chicken tikka masala, which were both delicious. Friendly service and good value for money. Highly recommended

I ate a vegetarian Thali on different days. The Thali was was freshly cooked. The chef took special care to make this spicy the next time I went there. Staff are friendly and efficient.
