Amity in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

I have been here a couple times now and the food is incredible. I'm not a big lover of spicy food, so the tikka masla dish I ordered was just so full of flavour and exactly how a masala should be. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and punctual. The restaurant itself is very smart and welcoming. 10/10 for everything

Unfortunately every dish was very watery and bland. I expected better because I’ve had delicious curries from Amity in the past.

The driver had to follow a detour to deliver our food that we were unaware of at time. if the restaurant could pass on my phone number to the driver we would like to pay him an extra £10 for his troubles. Please text us an account number and sort code and we will send you the funds

Amazing food. Delivery driver was friendly. Substituted for a couple of items and got some freebies as well. Arrived just on time and lovely and hot.

Although it arrived late that was probably due to trying to find me. Apart from that it was lovely food and glad I opted to order from them tonight. I will use again and tell others to use them as well. Good amount of food, hot and tasted well nice. Well done and keep up the good work need decent take away places like you guys.

Got home to find when of the main courses was missing. One phone call later and a driver was dispatched with the missing meal,an extra rice and chips. Mistakes happen but it's how you put it right and this was excellent service. Great food, very good service and reasonable prices. Will use again.

Really lovely food absolutely stuffed! Also the delivery driver was very apologetic about it being slightly late but honestly it wasn’t a problem we understand as we work in hospitality. Definitely gonna order again

After seeing the story in cornwall live about lost customers and wanting them to come back does this mean the food quality is up to standard as Madras I ordered a while back was a tray of of rice along with a tray of hot water with a couple bits of lamb floating in it

Fairly bland food. Small and quite tough pieces of lamb. Not the large tender meat you expect from Indian takeaway. Wasn’t terrible but certainly wouldn’t rush back. Unsatisfying.

Order never arrived yet still sent delivery updates and a text to say the driver couldn’t find the address. When I received a text to say the driver couldn’t find the address and to call the driver to help. When I called the number, the restaurant informed me they hadn’t started to even cook the food and it would be another hour and a half. Despite ordering an hour before this!!! Disgusting service

Never turned up lads advertise on just eat and ring you and say your too far away will be late you sit wait over a hour and no food ring them they get clever on the phone refund required messers

We made a large order and every part of it was delicious and fresh. Delivery with a smile. Can’t fault it, great value for money.

I had the most amazing dining experience at Amity Tandoori Cuisine! The flavors were absolutely authentic and the spices perfectly balanced. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. I highly recommend the butter chicken and garlic naan. Definitely my new favorite spot for Indian cuisine

The food is on point every time

Food was good and arrived pretty quickly (about 25 mins mid-week with 35-45 estimate). The chicken tikka was different to what you'd usually expect but tasted good nonetheless.

Had chicken madras, plain rice and a garlic naan. Madras tastes heavily of lemon, overpoweringly so. Heat is good and not too salty. Dull the lemon down and it’s a corker. Rice is cooked perfectly. Naan was throughly disappointing. It’s never seen garlic let alone cooked with some on it unfortunately. People order garlic naan because they enjoy garlic flavoured bread, no reason to go light on that.

Had a lovely evening meal at Amity last night with family. Food was absolutely beautiful and service was great too. Would definitely be back if in the area.

Catered for our delivery 18 miles away and food was still hot. it was all absolutely gorgeous and catered for our nut allergy.

Best takeaway we have had in a long time! We ordered from here not realising how far away it was (our mistake!) however, the restaurant were excellent and phoned to explain the food may take longer due to the distance. Food arrived on time and was absolutely brilliant, highly recommend!!

honestly I was a bit disappointed that our food arrived hours later but the customer service was excellent. despite a challenging and busy weekend they kept me updated gave us a full refund and gave us drinks and extra food. The driver came a long way to deliver results and was very apologetic. the food was nice and I probably enjoyed it more after waiting so long but the situation was understandable and they was clearly very keen to keep us happy.

Food was amazing but delivery this time was not so good they phoned me at 20.58 to say it will be a hour came at 10 .40 phone call to say he was outside my address at l, 40 mins later he came with our food

I never have anything negative to say but I genuinely believe i have been scammed ! My order was £13.95 for the salmon sizzler and unfortunately all they gave me was friend onion with a really small pieces of salmon , size of a fish finger. To top up my colleague ordered a mixed grill and claims it had a pungent smell and said that he could not finish his meal. Trust me he loved food!

Please read this genuine review! I have never written a review or critiqued a restaurant before, however, my experience this evening at Amity indian in Redruth has to be shared. Honestly the worst experience I have ever had, and I have literally had hundreds of meals from differently Indian restaurans. There was no waitress/waiter when I got there. Until 10mins passed and a lady came in with 2 cooler boxes after delivering. She seemed to be doing both jobs, with the chef dealing with the customers and the restaurant In between cooking! No wonder my food was 25 minutes later than the collection time! The food was dreadful. All of the starters were thrown into one plastic tub. Picture soggy onion bahji with dry meats and a very oilly samosa. I couldn't even eat the bahji as it was undercooked but burnt on the outside. I ordered a bhuna which was Honestly milder than a Korma! Utterly flavourless and the tub was only half full. The pilau rice was also very bland with green and red food colouring. My partner had the same comments. And it wasn't cheap. At £50 for a take away for 2 people you would expect better. The cherry on the cake though, was a conversation I overheard between the chef and the delivery man asking him to pop to the corner shop to buy some steak. The driver asked what type, to be told by the chef 'just get any old crap, it doesn't matter'! I couldn't believe my ears! I should've taken that as a sign and just left, but I had already paid. If you have read this far, thanks. Do yourselves a favour and avoid this restaurant like the plague!!

Very tasty food, great delivery.

Spent £88 on food for 5 people. Missed part of a meal ( chicken nuggets and chips came without the chips and we also realised after I called them we were missing one tikka massala meal and the onion bhajis for the set meal for 2 people. Really angry and disappointed, what a waste of £

Great service from start to finish, restaurant called to let us know food will be delivered by a certain window - it was within the time frame, delicious and delivered warm, delivery driver was super friendly - we will be ordering from again in the future.

We've had plenty of Indian takeaways over the years and this has to be one of the best yet. Food is absolutely fantastic, nothing more about it needs to be stated. Great communication and delivery driver was also very nice. Would 100% recommend Amity as your Indian takeaway of choice!

The food was absolutely bad. Firstly, the starter, the onion bhaji were all burnt and some dishes were missing. Secondly, they messed up our mains. we tried so speak to the boss (the Asian guy with big muscles) but he was just too rude. Very bad experience.

Absolutely amazing!! In Cornwall on holiday and can without a doubt say it was the best Indian I’ve ever had! Portions were great, food tasted amazing and the service was really quick and efficient! Will definitely order again next time we are down here!

mine was wrong meal as driver gave wrong one and then returned 10 mins later to ask if we could swap. Had already eaten over half by this point as did not want meal to go cold even if it wasn't correct.

Not the best - lamb chop tasted foul! Lamb curry was ok but what with the 3 pieces of potatoes in there???????? &10 for a lot of sauce!!!!!!!!! The bread was lovely - the only I ate that was nice!

Warning, if you leave a bad review on Just Eat they ban you as a customer. Regular customer by delivery and in recent months the delivery service had deteriorated due to drivers refusing to use their smartphones to find my location. Which resulted us walking some distance in the rain to find them. Reordered as never had a problem with their food and recieved an order in April with no problem, so I hoped the problem had stopped. Ordered again today and my order was cancelled. When I called up to find out why my order was cancelled, I was told it was due to my negative review about their delivery. I would reconmend the man who answered the phone to learn about customer service in how to see negative reviews as an opportunity to improve their business and gain positive reviews from those customers. Not impressed and will happily take my regular custom elsewhere.

After many poor experiences recently with a detoriation in delivery service. This one turned up on time and to my home.

I’m in Newquay and didn’t realise they were all the way in Redruth, but they had no trouble delivering and the food was really tasty and hot upon arrival. I would recommend this take away highly and the Madras packs a nice spicy punch.

Verry quick and polite the food is to a good standard but iv also had better , still it was my thrid visit so proves it was still good food
