10 out of 10 for the service really good food and a brilliant atmosphere the owner of the chef and the staff are fantastic, cannot recommend this enough!

Chilli was very dry no sauce at all lol it had been preprepared and left to stand Also the owner seems very unhappy and never smiles when serving.

Highly recommended! Wow! What beautiful food. Amigos Cocina felt very authentic, with an amazing set of staff. The food was bought out all together and the service was super speedy. Very very good Churros that were so fresh the chef bought them out to us!

I had chicken tacos, my partner had a pulled pork burrito with sweet potato fries. We sat outside on the benches in the sun, although there is an umbrella at each table, if required, for shade. The food was absolutely delicious, we both enjoyed our choices. This is real quality food, made with fresh ingredients and care. Friendly, helpful service. Looking forward to returning for an evening meal, the restaurant looks amazing inside.

Struggling to say anything positive about our visit here. The food was really disappointing and through the 10 of us that visited not one of us left feeling we’d experienced anything other than bland flavours. It’s a shame as the decor is authentic Mexican, but the food is anything but.

Absolutely fantastic independent Mexican. Dishes were served with great attention to detail..we were offered "frozé" aperitifs on arrival and I enjoyed a fully vegan experience. We had a small nachos to share followed by chimichanga and enchiladas. The food was perfect, tasty and great portions and value for money. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly...we will definitely return to this hidden gem!

Amazing food, started with three or four of the tapas, all delicious, amazing friendly staff, small, and perfectly formed. Great choice of food, lovely atmosphere, have been several times and will go again, you can eat in or outside in the summer which gives Chipping Sodbury high street a colourful and fun vibes place to eat.

Brilliant evening a true introduction to Mexican food.

Loved this place! We ordered steak and chicken fajitas- £34 for 2 portions. The portions were huge!! Juicy steak, tender chicken, delicious sides- refried beans/ salsa/ guacamole/ sour cream and jalapeño chillies- we took our leftovers home. Extensive drinks menu - we chose raspberry spritz and a Virgin Mojito which were great value for money. There was such a lovely atmosphere, we will definitely be returning.

I'm very disappointed as expected better from a place with so many lovely reviews. Food was very bad and had to be sent back, meatbals were hard as rocks. Service forgot about my drink and cleared my sons plate whilst he was still eating. On the positive side, we were seated straight away as the place was empty on Saturday night. Nice decorations. Sadly, I won't be visiting again.

Really disappointed with this restaurant, had expected good things due to the 4.7 star rating. Other restaurants in this area have been great. Will not be coming back here again. Very expensive and the quality of food did not justify the price tag. Portions were all small, food was too dry, too hard to cut, lacking flavour and spice. Restaurant really need to look at the quality and freshness of ingredients being used. And check or taste test food before sending it out from the kitchen.

What a lovely family run restaurant. We had a fantastic meal here last night - the food was fresh, delicious and served promptly (definitely try the sweet corn dish - soooo good!) and the cocktails were spot on. I visited Amigos Cocina last year and I'm really eager to go back as the food was truly delicious. The patatas bravas were the best I ever had. The staff were really friendly and accommodating towards our dietary requirements. Lots of things could be made vegan and we were really quite spoiled for choice. The decor was also really funky. Would highly recommend this place.

Very cold where we where sat and i was worried to move because i was say by the till. disappointed on the size of the portions I had enchiladas very dry pulled pork. I thought it be a lot bigger as well. No check backs on the food at all. We both have had food poisoning from the food which as stopped us spending time with each other over the weekend

I was really looking forward to a date night romantic meal. We had looked forward to an amazing Mexican meal, as we had often walked past iit and admired the decor. We weren’t greeted on arrival and had to look for a member of staff. We were placed in a cramped table, and handed menu’s . We had some difficulty in understanding what ingredients were in the meal and weren’t given any explanation. We ordered and looked forward to enjoying our choices. My partner felt cold and wanted to complain. The staff had disappeared. Eventually they reappeared with our starters and dumped on the table and then quickly disappeared. The starters were nice but slightly cold. We then had to wait ages for plates to be collected. The mains eventually came out and were small , the pulled pork tough and dry. My partner left most of her enchiladas , sweet potatoes chips. My Chilli was luke warm and slightly tough. We wanted to complain and speak to the manager. My partner was so cold and just wanted to go home as once again the staff had disappeared. So I looked for a member of staff to pay for our food. As we walked back to the car we decided never to go again as the food was really bad and overpriced. Zero customer service and table cramped together. Avoid at all costs

We chose this place as wanted something different than the Squire, where we have gone in previous years. Lovely atmosphere in there. The food was so delicious!! We opted for the fiesta feast so we had a taster of everything. Flavours were amazing. Finished off with a delicious platter of fresh fruit, chirros, cream and chocolate sauce. Absolutely delicious! Throughly recommended. Hope to be back soon!

Wasn't impressed sat us in the corner with no room to pull chair out had to disturb people eating to sit down,. Took.a long time to bring drinks , had tapas starters that were just OK, were told to keep the cutlery we had used for main course. Main course came had 3 who chose the steak and chicken fajitas there was not much meat for 3 people and the cost was 22 pp I would have expected dar more , its was mainly onions. Another had chili that was dry no sauce and nachos were like cardboard . Not a fan won't be going back .

Just passing through not nite dad by to have dinner but happened upon this delightful quirky Mexican restraint with good Spanish tapas menu and wide range of drinks, we were seduced! When the food came we were not disappointed, it was all tapa portions as expected but each dish was absolutely bursting with flavour.I cannot praise the tastiness of the gambas al ajillo, pollo al ajillo, albóndigas with refried beans and Mexican rice. I was left literally licking my fingers and was brought delicious bread to mop up with. I washed it down with a very large and delicious glas of sangria. An absolute taste sensation. Well done! I will be recommending to one and all. 👏👏👏🇲🇽🇪🇸

Came as a party of 7 on a Saturday night. The atmosphere & décor was fun & inviting, the waiting staff were friendly, the chef came & spoke to us before preparing our food & they all had a great sense of humour! A fabulous fun filled atmosphere and unique food experience! We went to Amigos which is a Mexican restaurant but had put on a Lebanese themed bottomless brunch! It was a treat indeed! The food and Prosecco were flowing and the owner who has Lebanese heritage gave a good explanation of everything served. The food was very tasty and filling and the service was excellent! There was a great atmosphere with Lebanese music playing and the owner Shamsi chatting to the customers between courses! I can definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning soon!

Nicely decorated, loved the colours & decorations which set a good atmosphere. The cleanest bathroom of all of the public houses & restaurants in Chipping Sodbury, I was impressed! Lovely cozy atmosphere and nice food to go with it. I had fajitas and was pleasantly surprised at the size of portion and presentation. I also had the cinnamon swirl dessert which was very good but I wish they labelled vegetarian meals clearer on the dessert menu.

Attended as part of a 24 group private party. Granted we did arrive a little early but were met with a closed door & told our table wasn't booked till 7.15. eventually got let in, first few courses arrived and they were nice. Then a fair gap between courses, turns out we missed three of the tapas courses that got served to the other two tables, chef hadn't cooked enough for us all. Staff were genuinely horrified and apologised profusely. More was bought out for us quickly. Food was nice, nothing special, just nicely cooked tapas and fajitas. WOW! What a place, the staff are amazing, super knowledgeable, and really friendly, they'd not had the misfortune to meet us all before, but they really did make feel like long lost friends or at the very least regular customers. The owner, a spectacularly strong lady with a really bubbly personality who thrives on interaction with her patrons, has out of adversity made a visually bright oasis in the dining area that exudes a comfortable atmosphere coupled with stunning food, punchy cocktails (and the Sangrias not too shabby either). I was so engrossed in the experience, that I forgot to take photos. I'm actually super happy about this because it means I'm going have to go back again to finish this review properly! I would well recommend this establishment to all, but be warned, you'll be lucky to be able to just walk in and get a table, Its pretty much always full and for good reason. Went here after reading reviews living in the village wanting to support local and love a good Mexican. The decorations of the restaurant was splendid along with the music. Arriving at 6pm only one other table taken. As we ordered it soon got busy. Service was slow two table got theirs before us after waiting an hour out party was 4. We ordered a share of nachos which had the amount of tortillas and salsa for one so we flagged her down to order more. Then after the food came it all looked great apart from mine looked like pulled pork I ordered chicken tacos. It tasted like pulled pork. I asked and was told it was chicken. I struggled through as I hadn't eaten all day. They never took it off bill and we still tipped. However I will never return again. The food for everyone was not the best and we all left dissatisfied and disappointed.
