Stopped here for a coffee. Lovely quirky coffee shop with great seating and decor. Service was really friendly with the chap chatting to us. He even showed us how to create the clever patterns on top of the coffee as we were interested. Not that I could manage to do it!! And very nice coffee!

Our family’s favorite stop for excellent coffee with cake or lunch. Highly recommended. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting and if you have a dog he/she is most welcome to join You.

We were welcomed with great food and amazing coffee. We completely overstayed and took up so much of the owners time we left feeling we had made a new friend. Sweetcorn fritters were sublime and we now need to have jalapeños in cheese scones, who knew? We even got top tips on baking, pasties and marmalade. If you are going to have foodie chat with someone make sure it's with a passionate foodie which this man most definitely is. Amazing place, amazing vibe, we'll be back.

Thought i had reviewed this when i went last year, but cant find it, planning a return this year, and memories of the coffee I had and also purchased to take home still linger. The food also i remember being amazing and i intend to return. Still look at many food photos i took lol.

Always make a visit when in Lyme Regis for a ‘pour over’ coffee and my wife enjoyed loose leaf tea. Food is excellent too. Lovely sourdough bread and my wife had a potato hash with chorizo and poached eggs which she loved!

Lovely independently owned coffee shop serving the best freshly ground coffee and excellent freshly prepared food. We had sweetcorn fritters with eggs, and chorizo and potato hash with poached eggs. Up the hill from the main drag with a hidden courtyard out the back. Dog friendly too. Highly recommended!

Fantastic place for great coffee and food. I had a ‘pour over’ which was excellent so I had another! The food was scrumptious- a chorizo, potato hash and pancakes with duck & eggs. They also do sandwiches, lovely selection of cakes Staff are very friendly and it was busy (not surprisingly) Will definitely return!

Gorgeous Brunch!! I went with the Eggs Royale and it did not disappoint, loads of hollandaise, beautiful eggs, yum yum yum. The dishes my friends ordered looked equally delicious and so lovingly presented. We all raved about the place for the rest of the day. 10/10 would Brunch again!!

Stumbled upon this place for lunch. Friendly, welcoming staff to both myself & large dog! Had mushrooms/spinach/pine nuts on sourdough with poached eggs (which were perfect!) & pot of Earl Grey. Chilled out vibe- just sorry I didn’t try the coffee! Excellent value for money as quality is spot on

Amazing coffee, service and food. The friendly team take such care to produce high quality coffee and food. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are happy to cater for different diets/needs. Food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Great vegan/veggie options as well - does the best vegan apple cake!! Dogs also allowed which is great, and has a lovely outdoor seating area.

Stopped here on a rainy Saturday lunch time and I’m so glad we did. Friendly service and delicious food in a cosy atmosphere. I had the mushrooms, pine nuts and poached eggs on sourdough toast and a coffee. The mushrooms were absolutely yummy and I can honestly say it’s the best meal I’ve had in a cafe or restaurant in a long time. Thanks!

This cafe has had the best coffee in Dorset and beyond for many years now. With friendly team and locals it now serves delicious brunches as well. Cakes are lovely ( and lots of vegan options) and the coffee is still amazing. Really should not be missed. I am already looking forward to my nExt visit.

Very different to Lyme's other cafes, this is all about the coffee (and top notch home made cakes). They certainly know their macchiato from their cortado and the quality of coffee wouldn't be out of place in Shoreditch. Tea is whole leaf served in a pot. Lemon polenta cake was delicious, and I noticed they had Tunnock's wafers on the shelf - nice touch. It has the feeling of a common room with everyone in there engaging with the owners and with each other. And while you sip your brew you can play guess the personality from the dozens of framed black and white mug shots on the wall. Breakfast options seemed limited to a few croissants afaics - but then they don't open til 10 (close at 4). Good coffee is available elsewhere in Lyme (with broader food options, such as The Galley Cafe) but this is the best - and a lovely place to sit and enjoy it.

My sister had recommended Amid Giants & Idols having been in Lyme the previous week. Being tucked away in Silver Street we probably would have missed it, my sister only discovered it walking down from the car park. Lots of comfy chairs give it a more relaxed atmosphere. Excellent coffee and cakes. Its the sort of place where you will meet interest people, as we did, and soon fall into conversation. In our case a gentleman interested in wildlife conservation, something I undertake as a conservation volunteer.

Epic name for a small-scale, slightly out-of-the-way & very cosy cafe. It comes with fine coffee & treats, very engaging & friendly staff, not too many tables & a restful, welcoming atmosphere. It is our first stop whenever we are in Lyme.

Out with family, baby and all, on a hot day. We sat out on the patio as the back of the coffee shop and enjoyed the sunshine and shade.The coffees were quickly served - Flat White, Americano and Latte - with glasses of water, European-style and the cakes were delicious.The dogs enjoyed the water bowl and everyone relaxed in the sunshine.Very friendly staff, a bit tight for space but room was made for the buggy and groups of people. Visit and enjoy the papers, magazines and games.

Brilliant coffee, made to perfection and provides a quiet place to rest from the bustle of Lyme Regis, the owners are super friendly and really relaxed, really can't recommend enough!

Best place I’ve been to for coffee in Lyme. Owners know how to make a good coffee (piccolo). My wife decided on a strawberry milk shake and a freshly baked blueberry cake with Greek yogurt which was so tasty.

We’ve been a couple of times while staying nearby. Brilliant service from the friendly, knowledgeable couple running the place - they took the time to understand what kind of roast we like and how we like to drink our coffee before preparing a delicious brew. The same consideration was shown when we visited to buy coffee ground for home (which is perfect!). I wish I had access to these guys back home!
