Popped in for a light lunch with my one year old, ham and cheese omelette well filled and beautifully cooked, everyone really welcoming, would definitely call in again.

Visited Ambrys cafe for a late breakfast last Saturday. Have been here many times before, and as usual the full English breakfast was great. Bacon and sausage is from the local butcher and comes with egg, beans, hash brown, mushrooms and two slices of toast. Two breakfasts plus two cups of tea for £10..... you just can’t go wrong. The staff are all volunteers and make everyone welcome. They really are a fantastic group of people.

Great selection of craft beers, always changing. Highly recommend 'Neck oil' when it's on. Loads of choice for non beer drinkers too. Not tried the food since it's changed, menu looks good though. Really friendly and helpful staff.

The Lawrence Batley Theatre, Queen's Square, Queen Street.Always a pleasure visiting here. Great range of soups and reasonably priced coffee £2 or pot of tea £1.60 (Dec '18). The staff are friendly and there's a outdoor seating area which in summer is a real sun trap.

283 Halifax RoadBig group of us popped in here Sunday Lunchtime for the first time. We chose from the Sunday and children's menu which were both competitively priced. Despite it being relatively busy our order was taken without constantly being asked if we were ready to order. We did not have to wait too long either before the food arrived. All at the same time I hasten to add. This theme continued until we were ready to go. All in all it was perfect and we will be back again soon. The service and quality/quantity of food very impressive. They know how to look after you. Well done The Cross Keys.

Carr StreetGreat spot to get some good food. I've had from the breakfast and the lunch menu and food is always delicious. My wife also loves the coffee from here, definitely recommend if your visiting slaithwaite
