Ordered a large amount for a family gathering and the food was lovely. Order was ready on time and was packed really well. Would definitely recommend

Worst customer services. Claiming our website price is is wrong, however just least price is same as website, how?

An Average place with wide variety of dishes to choose from…ok..ish on taste, took long to bring the food to table an average experience overall.

Was here last week wkth family for halwa puri breakfast… and honestly was not disappointed.. enjoyed the meal fully. If you are a desi and in need of good desi puri breakfast.. head to ambala.. Will be back soon…

We popped in for lunch as our son had given us a Groupon voucher as a thank you. So glad he did. What a find. Ambala is lovely place in the midst of Pollokshields vibrant business quarter. We we're given such a welcome and our food was absolutely fabulous. Excellent service too. More than happy to recommend and we'll definitely be back. Btw - great veggie options - the panneer deserves a special mention.

So this review covers the two nights in a row that we visited this restaurant whilst visiting Glasgow. So glad to have done a lucky dip using my Google search This restaurant is unique in terms of decor, bells on table to request service and vast menu of excellent food and staff being a variety of nationaloties.... Orders taken on a tablet device. On both visits, service was impeccable, a little slow on second visit as quite busy but nothing intolerable. Very reasonably priced. Parking a little bit of an issue when restaurant as well as surrounding area of units busy On our first visit we had Gol Gappa/Pani Puri and Meat Samosa Chaat as Starters. Mains we went for Aloo Keema with Chapattis and for Dessert we had the house special Kulfi Falooda. Gol Gappas were fresh, crispy and delicious, as were the accompaniments. Samaosa Chat was delicious together as was the samosa itself too. Keema Aloo was freshly cooked, good balance of spice and flavour and the potatoes just made it come together perfectly eating it with the soft and delicious Chapattis cooked on the Tawa. For dessert we had the huge glass filled with Kulfi and Falooda. Very heavy, lots of it but delicious! Definitely not for one person, 3 of us just managed to finish it! On the second visit we decided to go for Puri as starter served with Halwa and Chana. Mains we just went went for the lamb biryani. Bit of a wait, understandable as busy and such a diverse menu. Wow, Puris were freshly made soft greasy deliciousness! Chana was also very good as was the Halwa that we decided to share as Dessert. The Lamb Biryani was ok along with the raita etc with it, we were a little underwhelmed. In fairness, I think it may be something to do with the place we went to ealrier that evening for Tea and seeing posters of the street food style Nalli Biryani wetting our appetites too much! So in conclusion, very impressed with Ambala Restaurant overall. Keep up the good work, food and general high standard👍🏽. Will definitely visit again when next in Glasgow as such a vast menu and one of the things I definitely want to try is the house special Lamb Shinwari.

Came here with my husband and 2 little ones. My husband and I ordered the Masala Fish burger meals, for the kids we ordered nan and chicken curry. It is clean but the restaurant is cold.

Popped in for lunch. It was fairly quiet. Waiter attended promptly,was polite and attentive. Food took a while to come but was definitely worth the wait. Both the lamb tikka, burger, and falooda were delicious. Reasonably priced

Asked for vegetarian pastries came home and found they were meat this happened two weeks in a row complained told to some where else if not happy!!!

I visited this restaurant today. food was excellent and lovely taste excellent service but it is not cheap and that is reason for 4 stars.i was visiting from MACCLESFIELD and it's definitely better than one in Manchester

Just had the best Sag gosht and Bhindi pyaaz. delicious dinner and surely kebabs and gajrela for take carry out. Served by Rabia and a lovely Jalil.

Went with my wife & brother in law for lunch,we knew it's not easy to find a good quality indian restaurant these days since there are too many of them and the majority are not that good by any means.but when we went to Ambala it's definitely the best curry i have ever tasted for 28 years,i have been to most of the indian restaurants but in Ambala every thibg was perfect from start to finish.Service with a smile and going the extra mile from The waitress i think her name woth Bara excellent service 10/10.the quality of the food is the best and i should say perfect and i give Gamil the chef 10/10. We hade vegetable paratha,aloo tiki for starter it was just made and it was a very good start for the meal. I ordered lamb biryani in the bones. My wife had mince briyani and my brother in law had vegetable briyani and we all enjoyed our lunch sooooooo much and we had what's left as a curry out.i definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves curry and indian food.and we are planning to go again soon that's for sure.

Visited here with my wife. Heard good things about place so thought give it a try. Decided to have 2 soups and take it from there. Place was quiet. Waited and waited for the order and went to ask how long it was going to b after waiting 35 mins. The woman was not bothered and sed about 10 mins.i sed no thanks and cancel the order. Wasn't bothered in the slightest and walked away no apology nothing. Service is poor, other table was was the same. Half their food was out and half wasn't. Can of juice is £1.99!!Shame I didn't eat but certainly where the service is poor they don't deserve my custom!

If you are trying find out great places to eat in Glasgow then you don't need to go somewhere else Ambala Restaurant we highly recommend it

Was met by a warm welcome. Jamil who served us provided excellent advice and suggestions, menu had a quite a variety of food. Mixed Grill, and Desi lamb karahi With naans. Forgot to mention the complimentary chicken soup

El servicio era extremadamente pobre, el camarero no parecía que quería estar en el trabajo. ¡Una de las peores experiencias de comida que he tenido! . Por favor, guárdese el hasel e ir a un lugar diferente. Inodoros muy sucios que estaban cubiertos de suciedad y parece que no los han limpiado por un tiempo. Lugar absolutamente antihigiénico.

Falooda tenía aquí hace dos semanas y es probablemente el mejor en Glasgow. He probado desde otros pero Falooda no es tan bueno.

We had our first experience of Ambala last week. And we are not at all disappointed. Very nicely cooked food, big quantity, and then they are happy to pack rest of our food to take home. We will surely be returning soon.

Visited with a friend and had Mixed Pakora (veg & chicken) followed by Handi Gosht (lamb dish) and a Chapati. I am familiar with Pakistani Desi Style food and regularly eat in some of the best Pakistani establishments in South side. This meal ranks as one of the best lamb dishes I have ever had and the depth of flavour in the Handi dish was fabulous. If you are looking for the real deal give this place a try. Pakora was freshly cooked and was also excellent. Staff also very friendly and accommodating. Will be back again soon. Highly recommended.

Así que me fui para celebrar el Día de la madre con mi madre y pedimos pescado masala y filete de pollo. El hombre detrás del mostrador parecía agradable y amable y nos dijeron que podíamos pagar después de que nos hemos comido por lo que llevamos nuestro asiento, y eso fue todo, se olvidaron de nosotros. Tuve que recuerdan el camarero dos veces que hemos estado esperando para nuestra comida por casi una hora, así que cuando por fin llegó la comida, el pescado era tan hecha que terminamos volver. El bistec estaba bien, así que teníamos que compartir con mi madre. Cuando fui a pagar la factura tenía sorprendentemente saltado desde £20 de casi 30 libras, así que me preguntó por qué, y me dijeron que pedimos más cosas, que no habíamos obviamente, así que pasamos mucho tiempo tratando de limpiar la confusión. Yo evitaría este sitio a todos los costos, la comida es de muy mala calidad y el servicio es simplemente terrible.

Mi marido pidió Halim desde este lugar! El peor Halim que he tenido! Al principio el hombre tomó el orden equivocado! Y nos envió el nihari cordero! Aunque el servicio era agradable y estuvo de acuerdo en que nos envió Halim pronto! El primer bocado probé era tan insulsa. Nada de sabor de la carne en eso! El servicio genial, la calidad de la comida no está a la altura de la marca. Hay buenos lugares para Halim en Glasgow! Mi primer y último orden desde aquí!!!

Fuimos a Ambala hoy para el almuerzo. La comida estaba bien. Sin embargo, cuando pagar las facturas me di cuenta que estábamos £1 extra para casi todo lo que compramos. Cuando le dije al hombre (que parecía ser el dueño del lugar) dijo que los precios en la tarjeta del menú son mal y por lo tanto tendrá que pagar lo que los precios son en el ordenador. Tras una larga discusión que él tomó los cargos extra. Nunca volver!

Un lugar para venir a para la familia o con amigos, ambiente agradable y comida increíble. El personal es siempre amable son siempre en mi servicio, amplia variedad de comida y bebidas incluso para los niños. También hay un montón de aparcamiento que es extremadamente servicial. 100 % recomendable
